Convenient and confortable stay

My work is in Zone 15 so this location works for me very well. Also this area has supermarkets, restaurants, stores, etc.The property is well maintained, the suites are confortable, and quiet.

The property is great. Beautiful garden. Watch out, not all units have a/c. The showers all have shower curtains. The staff is very distant in their treatment. Polite, but distant. And they treat you like you're a suspect about to commit a crime. Instead of feeling welcome, their treatment reminds you that this isn't your home. Very uncomfortable. I shared this with them, and they said guests have stolen from them, which isn't my fault or my case.

I called 3 hours before checking in to confirm my reservation and it checked out. Upon arrival, I was told that i had cancelled it. I was charged another $60 in addition to the $47 I had paid through Expedia.

Check out took 30 minutes while they went upstairs to check the condition of the room!!!!!!

Nice get away!

We enjoy Jardin Imperial as a get away. It is away from the main stream of traffic and tourist places. Quite and peaceful perfect for us. We can take our own food or go out to eat. Since we live in Guatemala we are familiar with restaurants and know where to go in the area. The room is spacious and clean. Amenities are few but we don't need them. Employees are friendly and helpful.

I travel a lot to Guatemala. And its the best place to stay. I will always stay in Jardin for my travels to Guate. Its super close to Cayala and its about maybe 25 to 30 minutes to the city. It has been my 4th stay and I have never had anything bad to say about this place. I love how the room is basically a small apartment that has a kitchen where you can cook your own meals. I am glad I found this place. 5 STARS!

I stay there for six days, very nice and friendly staff, clean, confortable .
The only knock is very dificult to get to the hotel from the main road because no signs posted until you are in front of the hotel after passing thru a security gate and a few twist and turns., even rhe locals don’t know where the hotel is located. Overall good place

I really liked the hotel and its location. It is an apartment. The guests must know that there are no services. The rooms are equiped with all in the kitchen to cook and wash the dishes.For me it was great. Also, the area has supermarket and places to eat. And it is a safe area. For street jogging it is also convenient, if done early morning.

Nice hotel in a protected site.

No AC. No fans. Only a few units have them. 24 hour guard was great. Staff go the extra mile. Windows are old and filter in cold or heat. Contains are not the type to stop sun light. So bring your blinder to sleep. Helicopters are used and one can hear then every day.
Bring your earplugs just for that. Cable is lacking a bit. No movies to order what you see is what you get.

Good during cool weather

As others commented, no air or fans in rooms. Not usually a problem in Guatemala, since it's the land of eternal spring. But try to get a room overlooking the garden and not the road. No air movement on the road side. And you hear every time the gate opens to let in guests. Also there are several neighborhood dogs whose barking can get quite annoying.

Great rooms. All the amenities for a long stay. Hidden in a private community. Difficult to locate. Safe area. Guarded. Staff was not flexible in terms of need. There are four in my family, the hotel was not flexible and had me pay for an additional room. A little flexibility would have gone a long way.

It's a perfect place

It was amazing to spend my stay here. I go to Guatemala a lot. And it's was like being at home on vacation. They have everything you need. And everyone was so friendly. There was one complication, when I arrived (they didn't have me on record of me booking the hotel) but they did fix it and gave me room right away not knowing if I was booked or not. But like I said everything was fantastic. I enjoyed my stay in a very nice gated colony. Everything was beautiful even their garden and roof top. I will definitely be staying there again very soon. It perfect and affordable.

Great get away, relaxing!

Enjoyed the garden. Reception was not as friendly as it should have been. Check in is at 2:00 pm. We arrived at 2:50 pm and were told we would have to wait 10 minutes for room to be ready. (????) we waited 15. Parking attendant/guard was very nice. Over all it was a very pleasant time. Relaxing

Not what I expected.

Well the room is nice, but nothing is nearby. Not knowing the area, I ordered in-pizza practically my only choice.

The place has nice gardens but no real lobby? no restaurant nor bar. Actually except for parking, the room and the garden there is nothing.

Excellent stay for the price there's a few things that can make this a better hotel. 1 no door \"do not disturb \" sign, everything to cook and no \"salt\" no body on duty after business hours if you need something. May not be so important but when you don't know the place it makes a big difference. The grounds of the hotel was beautiful. The hotel room was clean. NO A/C. Super hot in the room. No fans or air circulation. It's located in a nice neighborhood but only way to get anywhere was by taxi. To far to walk anywhere. I booked for 3 nights but only stayed one night because it was to hot to sleep.

Perfect location and beautiful grounds

Rooms are nicely decorated though slightly worn in some places. Kitchens are well stocked. Staff very friendly and daily cleaning service. Onsite parking with security. Beautiful Japanese inspired gardens with fish and waterfall, incredibly relaxing and quiet too! Rooftop seating area is also an asset.

1.Something is wrong there; Low wifi , I pay for a king bed and I don't haved and they make a stupid excuse to fix me booking. I don't know . 2. I requested to cleaning me room aroun 11 am. I left for 4 hrs. A D me room still don't clean. When She come to clean is late and I ask for couples things to fixed and they don't doing.

Deceiving. This hotel appears to be near lots of things, but in fact its not. It was extremely hard to find; hidden in a gated community only accessible by a guard. There was nothing to do, nothing to see, nothing to eat, without walking 15-20 minutes (fast-paced). The staff was friendly, and the room/hotel itself was clean. I will never stay here again though. It ruined my trip in Guatemala city because my friend and I didn't want to have to cab-ride everywhere.

A real pleasure to stay in!

Perfect hotel, having travelled to the city and stayed in some of the larger hotels I can safely say this is much nicer than the vast majority. Gated within a gated community in a nice part of zone 15, the hotel feels and is hugely safe. Rooms are large and kitchen well furnished although the room do get a bit hot. The rooftop is incredibly pleasant and provides a great view at night. The gardens are relaxing and pleasant. Staff are very friendly as are the cleaning staff. I would happily stay again without a doubt.

Our Stay in Suites Jardin Imperial was Wonderful!

We enjoyed the view we had from our room, beautiful view of the city. I particularly appreciated how well equipped the suite was. I love cooking and well, I almost felt as if I was home because everything was right at my finger tips. When we wanted to order out there were several delicious restaurants that delivered to our suite. The most amazing feature of this hotel is of course the garden, it's simply amazing! So big and a true treat to just take a little stroll in the garden or just sit and enjoy the birds singing and read a good book. I have been here before when I've come to Guatemala and I keep coming back time and time again, because you can't beat having practically an apartment for such a great time. I'm a fan for life. Staff was also very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants a great place to stay.

Relaxing getaway!

We went with another couple to have a nice getaway and we were not disappointed. The outdoor garden is a real treat. At night all you can hear is the peaceful sound of insects.(no mosquito's)
The twinkle lights are nice.
Our room was pleasant, but only because it was NOT on the West side of the building. Fortunately we were able to switch to the East side. Since there is no AC and no ceiling fans the first room we were shown was like an oven.
The kitchen is completely equipped, coffee maker, toaster,microwave,refrigerator,oven,utensils,and even a rice maker.Overall it is a very nice place to bring guests that are visiting the country or a place to camp out so's long as you bring your own food or like to order in.

The room is excellent, new, clean, comfortable. The location is nice, safe and near the airport. But they don't have any food service, and not even coffee is available for the guests, so you need to order by phone or go out to eat. There are some restaurants and groceries stores around. Also you can use the kitchen as it has everything you may need (fridge, oven, microwave, plates, cups, siverware, etc).

Five Star for Two Star Cost

We were amazed at the quality of this hotel especially for the price we paid. Everything in this efficiency apartment was like new including dishes, silverware, small appliances, flat screen TV, etc. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a gated community and a bit hard to find. Stores are close-by but you do need to venture outside of the gated area. You will need to use taxi service to get around the city and to the airport but the service is prompt.

Wow. The gardens were beautiful and so nicely lit up for Christmas. A bakery, grocery stores and major chain fast food restaurants are within walking distance. Taxis available but within a couple of days we braved the city buses. We stayed 10 days and the hotel staff was absolutely amazing. The view from the roof top was breath taking, we could see the mountains and volcanoes. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the great memories.

A real bargain

In the last three yaers we have tried all kinds of hotels in Guatemala city. We spent one night and it was by far the most agreable experience based on price and quality ratio. Airport to hotel by taxi 80Q. We enjoyed the 7th floor patio, breezy and well shaded. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can hve an excellent do it yourself breakfast buying yur bread at the San martin bakery (10 minute stroll) and a great supermarket (15 minutes). There are good estaurants 15 minutes by foot. One thing the htel should provide is a gogle map showing where the retaurants and supermarkets actually are. Defnitely our future choice

A Pleasant Suprise

On the drive up I was expecting to be on more of a main road , but this hotel is tucked away in a gated residential district . Upper middle class for Guat . gates ,bars and barbed wire are to them , what nice late model jacked up pick-up truck sporting a gun rack and baseball bat is to many americans .
I speak spanish so I really can not tell you how well their English is but they did try to use their english with me. The room was very nice the kitchenete was great .The bathroom fine . The halls stairs and elevator all clean . The purified bottled water dispenser on each floor maintained regularly .
I walked the main street a couple of blocks away from the hotel often going to the Supermarket or getting a snack at Wendys or BK . The Chinese restaurant 3 blocks down to the left was just great .
Walk around the roof top patio and enjoy the view of this very GREEN city , listen to the birds this is a very nice latin american city. The guards keep good track of you and where you are going if you want them to . I could go by taxi in any direction I wanted for 10 bucks inc tip to see whatever I wanted. ,so it was in a good central location . The cost of the Yellow taxi to wait on you is about 10 an hour ,and I found the yellow taxi dudes to the most knowledgeable . OOOOh I forgot , the GARDENS ... you will love the garden .
If this biz. did not force me to go back and try new locations each time , I would choose just to return to the Jardins. Great Value all around.

No free coffee. The king size bed was a queen. No AC. Not even a fan. The room was hot and did not cool off. We had to go to the garden to get cool. Broken toilet paper holder. No wash . Not enough toilet articles such as shampoo. Lighting so dim it was hard to see at times. These are all things a three star hotel would have. This is a two star hotel.

My wife having to go for tests at the hospital this was the best place for her to rest and relax. The staff was most helpful and went out of their way to calll for taxi's and orders for food. The gardens were just spectacular and very peaceful.We hope to return in a month and will recomend to our friends that this is the place to stay.

Lovel hotel but poor location owing to my work.

The Hotel Jardins Imperial was without a doubt the best and most cost-effective place i stayed while in Guatemala City but because it was so far from the centre of town I had to move back into the city. The rooms are modern, quick, clean and in my case i enjoyed a beautiful view of Agua the volcano to the north of the city. This hotel is great if you have a driver of a taxi. Great care must be taken however, once you leave the gated community. I was followed by two men while trying to buy groceries—another disadvantage: the hotel has no restaurant and one has to forage for one' s own fare which, owing to poor security inevitably involves taking a cab.

Great stay for our purposes

The rooms are very nice for the price. They are very spacious. There are not many english speaking staff, but with a little manuevering and with the help of Google Translate, we made it through. Everything is a minimum of a 5-10 minute walk away, including restaurants, the main grocery store and banks. So, if you have problems walking, this place is not for you. The only negative I would say is there wasn't any air conditioners or heaters they utilize fans. In February it got cool at night (not cold). The neighborhood is somewhat intimidating looking. But, nothing unusual as Guatemala City always looks up in arms (literally you'll see guards with semi auto and shotguns throughout Guatemala City. It's normal). I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're not concerned about being off the beaten path. Since Guatemala City was NOT our main stay, this hotel was great for our purposes.

stayed for 3 days.evertyime ,i hailed a taxi ,i have to walk a mile to the mini mall to catch it.very few cab drivers even know that this hotel exist.i waas trying to save money ,that's why i booked this hotel,but i ended paying more than 4 star hotel ,due to multiple cab fares.location is just to far out from the city life.service wise,i was in disbelief when they charged me $ 6 for a rotten facial towel that my companion threw in the trash can,as he vomitted on it.will never return to this hotel again,despite affinity to the room,as it was spcaious and has full kitchen amenity.

Very clean and well supplied room set in lovely gardens. This sort of standard would normally cost at least $100/ night in Guatemala. Staff were friendly. The only issue is that it is not a hotel but rather very well serviced appartments. This means that you would need to eat breakfast and other food in local restaurants and if you don't speak Spanish and are not a confident traveller, you may find this difficult.
Local restaurants are within 10 minutes walk and it is a relatively safe area, as safe as you can be in Guatemala City (which is not very safe). There is also a small store close by to buy breakfast cereals, and a bigger supermarket (La Torre) about 15 minutes walk.

Comfortable and clean

It made you feel much safer when the guard was there to watch us when taxi dropped us off. Taxi was dishonest. Please ask Taxi how much before you go. Dont accept first quote, taxi trip from hotel to centro Gruatemala should be minimum GUA $25,000. The room with kitchen was impressive and very clean. Great bakery place near by and easy to catch a bus ride to centro Guatemala near old church. The hotel price was amazed. I m very fuzzy myself , very satisfied with Suites Jardin Imperial.

Very pleased and surprised

Hi, it took us some time to get to the hotel just because is in a guarded neighborhood with security at the entrance gate. The hotel is very clean, very nice with a very nice garden. The neighborhood is up scale. The suite was small but equipped with everything you need. It was more than I expected.

It is a very nice hotel , I enjoyed my staying very much, nice, clean, personal in general was very friendly, I loved the gardens, well kept , the room was excellent, very comfortable, clean,nice size.The only inconvenient was that there is no restaurant but, over all for the price I was very pleased, perhaps better than I was expecting, If I have a chance to visit Guatemala some other time I will stay there again.

A great hotel in Guatemala city

Nice friendly staff, although none of them could speak English. Reception was closed at 9pm which we arrived after, but we where still able to get access to our room and there is a security guy that will let you in and handle that.
Hotel is in a neighbourhood area that is blocked off with another security blockade, so safety is assured. There is a rooftop area with great views.

Showers and tv's all operate better than anything else I'd experienced in Guatemala, although flushing toilet paper down the toilets is still not a recommended practice.

Lots of food stores which are walkeable from the hotel. Neighbourhood is probably one of the safer areas of town,, recommended for anyone wanting a safe, comfortable stay in Guatemala city.

Suites Jardin Imperial in Guatemala City

The hotel was ok. The office staff came to the office later than advertised and had difficulty communicating with us at times especially regarding things one would expect to have been told--internet passwords, etc.

The hotel garden is beautiful but one seldom spends time in a garden. It is located in a residential area that is a gated community. It seems very well secured with several guards. It is not convenient for sightseeing in the city or shopping. There are a few restaurants within a 6 or 7 block range.

The internet was a problem. They change passwords at least daily and don't notify the users. The speed is problematic.

Great value no services

This hotel has great value in a very secure area close to the airport, however, there are no meals or dining room, WIFI only works in the office not in your room. Had to order in breakfast. There is no lobby, no pick up from airport, and no luggage storage. The gardens were absolutely beautiful.
