We were there because we had a family member at the hospital. Rented a total of 4 rooms, most of them smelled so strong of mold. The sheets in one of the ones had what looked like blood or something on them. The walls in the bathroom were horrible

There’s nothing I can do

There’s nothing I can do is a phrase you will hear from the front desk manager. This hotel is grossly misrepresented in photos and listings. Do not be fooled; it is a budget place with rooms and function to match. Refused an upgrade, sent to a room with broken AC, then sent me to a sticky room. I walked out on it.

Ok for a 1 night stay

Bed was ok, there was no coffee maker in the room even though they had them downstairs. The property was being remodeled but there was no where to set stuff. We were in town for a funeral and booked for 4 days. 2 of our grandchildren and our daughter came and swam in the pool. They were there for 1/2 hour at the end of the night…we were told no one who wasn’t staying in our room could swim. Management was nice. They had hardly anything for breakfast, so we ended up having to go get food elsewhere. We won’t be back…

Rooms Definitely need updating. Bathroom was grungy and was missing grout surrounding about 1/4 of the tiles. Front desk employee was pretty rude on more than one occasion. There was however a very helpful front desk employee on the 2nd day of our stay. Pool was nice and I do think they are in the process of updating the outside at least so maybe the inside will be next.

We went to our room and when we were leaving to park our bikes there was something in the sink, you can see by the picture. When I showed the clerk he did take care of getting us all taken care of but it should've never had to come down to it

Only time I've ever asked for a different room. The sheets had stains and burn holes in them. The comforter was stained. Worse of all, the fitted sheet was ripped into shreds almost. I was surprised they used it. After gettting harassed about moving the bedding back to look at it, staff reluctantly changed our room but kept saying, \"this is the last room I can give you\". That certainly rubbed me the wrong way because we requested the change less than 10 min after being in the first room. Made us feel like we did something wrong. Decatur is hotel dessert and they are all kind of crappy but steer clear of this one. 2nd room was fine though.

Walked into lobby to check in. Another couple had been there 15 minutes with no service. Rang bell. No person at the desk. Five minutes. I called the telephone number. No answer. I called again. Finally a person came from down the hall. Checked in. Room was ok. Looked clean. Rained overnight. Window leaks. Appears to have leaked for long time. Burn mark on bathtub, looked like cigarette. Bathroom towel had brown stains. No freezer area in fridge. Great choice of shampoo and soap, Dove, and in the fragrance I prefer! Bed was very comfortable. Three pillows, one was quite lumpy. Sheets wrapped around lightweight comforter, was a little weird, but clean and fresh. Breakfast was very dissatisfying. Four slices of bread, eight biscuits, empty crock pot of gravy. Egg circles in fridge. Milk was ice cold, perfect! Waffle dispenser dirty, spilled batter. Cold children cereals looked full and good, selection of oatmeal. Bananas in various states of ripening. Perfect. Awakened by text from hotel asking for checkout time, rude, checkout stated 11, didn’t appreciate being awakened. Shower was great once I figured out how it worked. Great water pressure and shower head choices. Typical hotel noises, quiet enough. Overall decent stay and I would, and probably will, stay again…

My kids were excited to come swim and when we got there we quickly learned that was a mistake. The pool has a coating of grime around the whole thing. When we finally got settled in the room we realized the room was not in much better shape. Would have loved to enjoy the breakfast but was too scared to try it. I’ve stayed at a lot cleaner hotels for way less than this one cost per night. I should have checked the reviews but would have never thought a quality named hotel like Ramada would have been that bad.

Good economic choice if you’re traveling. Breakfast was mediocre. My room has problem with air and heat was stuck on. Going into the room in evenings was like walking into the gates of hell. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is kind of aged but other than the air in one room having issues (other room I had did not have this issue). I would return on personal travels.

No iron, or ironing board! Hairdryer didn’t work!! Also no rack for hanging my work uniforms as specified in room detail! No one offered clean towels, nor replaced soap or shampoo/conditioner! Older man at counter asked, as we were leaving for adventure , if we were Che king out. We still had a whole other night left!! Not very friendly staff! The worker at front was like we don’t have extra pillows and when he gave me the 2 blankets and towels he wrote my room number down. I understand the keep track of where the things are going but it was just odd. Then there was trash outside a room the whole night I was there. We checked in at 3pm on July 11th. The temperature in the lobby was between 85 and 90 degrees. The hallways leading to the rooms were filled with old cabinets and dressers. Once in the room we found that the security lock had been broke off the door, no closet or hanging area for my suits, bathroom was filthy, there was a sign in front of the Television with a list of items that if not there once checked out would be charged to our card and the price for each item. Most of those items were not even in the room including ironing board, iron, clock, and so on. The room also smelled like cigarettes badly.
We stayed at the hotel a total of 45 minutes and 25 minutes of that was to book another hotel and get our bags out of there.
I travel around 150 days a year for work, and I can tell you I have never stayed in a place that was worse than this. I explained at the front desk that we would not be staying along with the reasons why, gave him back the keys and told him I would not pay for that room.
I will also be writing to Ramada and provide pictures of the room, hallway and surrounding areas. This place was a health and safety hazard.

The TV in my room had no signal. The staff member tried to fix it by unplugging and plugging it back in. When that didn’t work he kept saying he would talk to someone else to see how to fix it. This place was a dump. And to call that a continental breakfast is a stretch. Good thing there was a Mcdonald's next door. Service was poor and the owner's attitude was really bad. No spa as advertised. The worker said it has been down for 10 years. Ice machines not working.Desk clerk taking their kid to work all day. Horrible cleanliness problems.Never again especially when their was 4 other hotels within walking distance to this hoter.
