They have a policy that they will not store luggage. People come to Manaus to explore the Amazon and need a place to store luggage to facilitate short trips into the jungle. The night staff was very rude and unhelpful, suggesting that we rent a hotel room for three nights to store luggage, which was ridiculous. I have never seen this happen at any other hotel I have stayed at. These women seemed totally unaware of the need to give good service in order to promote much-needed tourism in the area. I definitely don’t recommend this hotel for that reason.

Upon check in, I was given an occupied and dirty room. When I reported it to the front desk, the employees didn’t even apologize, and begrudgingly gave me a new room. Then upon check out to take an Amazon River tour - three days away and then returning to the hotel for one night - we were told we could NOT store luggage there during our absence. They suggested that we book a room and pay the nightly rate to keep the luggage there. Ridiculous and very poor service. For a big hotel in a big city focused on tourism, I saw no effort from the front desk staff to accommodate and meet the needs of tourists.

What we liked : Hotel is conveniently located in the center of town, rooms are very basic but clean and air conditioned, excellent for relaxing, showering, napping before a pre-dawn departure, and prices are in accordance to what you get.
What we did not like: as we arrived earlier than check in time, the clerk announced that the room was ready to be occupied but wanted us to pay an extra half a day for early check in. The room is paid for tor that day, they can’t sell that room and the customer is there. Bad customer care for this hotel.

We are back in Ibis Styles hotel after a 4 day stay in Amazon. The hotel is located in the city center and is within walking distance to most of the city's attractions. The restaurant was convenient. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold options with local delicacies and fruits.

The room was too small. The bed was comfortable. The staff have very limited English and it was difficult to communicate. The hotel is located in the city center and is within walking distance to most of the city's attractions. They have 24 hours reception which was good because our flight came in at 3am. Breakfast have hot and cold options and they even feature a local delicacy or two for us to taste.

The matters has a urine smell, yes they changed me the room.
The new room had a strange noise. Definitely is not the same hotel. Way expensive but not give as you pay at the local money. Only for 2 nights in an emergency. It was more than enough.

Nice location in the center of the old city. The hotel is 1 block from the opera house and the lively nightlife around the square, but slightly removed from the noise and relatively quiet. It seemed safe enough outside the apartment on the street, walking to the square. We frequently saw police right outside, and even within the entrance to the building.

Good for the price, but the room was small and the sheet was too small for the bed. Large people would have a difficult time getting into the bathroom. The staff we met were polite. However, the maid came to clean the room in the mid-afternoon while we were napping and she knocked on the door repeatedly. Staff should know that if the door is locked and nobody answers a soft knock, to go away and not disturb guests.

Firstly the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of the main attractions are less than a 5 min walk from the hotel. The room was clean and came with the basics though I've noticed its a running theme in Brazil that plug sockets tend to be in the most awkward places so I would suggest you bring an extention or long enough charging cables to avoid the inconvenience. There are quite a few options available for breakfast (with the exception of the cereal once it runs out it doesn’t seem to get replenished so get there early if you want garnola) but it did get a bit repetitive after the second day, The hotel has a decent gym with all the standard equipment and machines, however I was disappointed to not see any cleaning materials available for use after a workout I can only assume the equipment is wipped down prior to close down but I do think it would be more hygienic if it was available for general use. Overall a very good hotel in an even better location.

This is a basic hotel that fulfilled everything I needed. Room was simple, no frills but clean to sleep and shower. There breakfast was ok, most of the food seemed to be gone by the time I made it down, but it was enough. Its not a far walk to the theatre and the lively nightlife in the square but it was far enough away that you didnt hear all the noise. This place is perfect for somebody on a budget but you probably wouldnt want to spend more than 2/3 nights there. I would stay there again.

The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing.The checkin process was horrendous as they could not check you in until they had set up a profile! for you which was taking an hour it is one of the worst hotel checkins i have experienced. The hotel was mediocre.

Clean, Minimalist as is the brand, difficult to operate shampoo dispenser, responsive staff, I did not partake of breakfast, so I cannot review. This is just off the main street, less than half a block through Manaus down to the port.Good shopping and eating options, several Mercados to choose from.

Need to work on better plumbing. Sink constantly clogging. Need to invest in new sheets ( holes and old stains ). A few small ants on counter.
Overall it has potential to be a 3 star, but need to invest more on rooms.

Lovely modern property

Apart from the breakfast there is no choice of vegetarian dishes. One evening they offered a pasta dish that I wasn't sure if it had meat. Two employees told me that it was vegetarian, but when I was about to eat it I saw pieces of ham.
At the lobby there is an excellent agency where you can book sightseeing trips.
There are always taxis waiting in front of the hotel, very convenient at night in this not to safe part of the old town.

They canceled my prepaid, confirmed booking even after my colleagues notified them of my late arrival (due to flight cancellations). I ended up not having my own room (but I paid it) and had to share a room with my colleague. I called Orbitz but was disappointed that Orbitz staff wasn't able to do much to help.

NO HOT WATER, SUPER SMALL ROOMS, but for $40usd

No Hot Water for your shower, and you have very very small rooms (bumping your arms in the shower on metal soap holders ect....but you are only paying $40usd and this is a budget hotel in a good location for Manaus. (if the management responds to my review but saying \" our maintenance people fixed the hot water issue...that is not correct since I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and the hot water never works (unless their maintenance person takes 2 years to fix it...heheheeh)... If you need to be in downtown Manaus and are willing to have No Hot Water and a Super Small room where you will bump your arms and feet on furniture, shower, toilet area and save some money...then its a OK hotel to stay at...if you want a more spacious room with Hot Water..stay somewhere else.

A better than average hotel in old Manaus. Very nice breakfast. Good location for tourists. It's been ten years since we were last in Manaus and prices have increased quite a bit, some due to the World Cup and Olympics. But we would certainly recommend staying here.

Unfriendly to families with kids. Rude staff.

My 8 month old daughter had to have her diepers changed on the lobby because the rude staff demanded to see the baby's ID in order to let her mother into my room. Absurd! There are many other hotels in Manaus with better service like \"Mercury\" and \",Vieiralves Express.\" Avoid Go Inn at all cost!!!! They will most certainly make your stay miserable!

Ants, poo and hair - don't trust Expedia score!

I booked Go Inn for 2 nights because of its 91% and 4 out of 5 score, but the experience is totally horrible and unacceptable.

We arrived close to midnight after a two legs flight, the lobby is okay but other public area do not have air con.

We got the room, settled down, and realized there are 20 ants go around the table. Then I saw #2 poo stuck on the toilet, and there are some hairs attached to an unopened soap.

It's late, I was very tired after a day of flight, and I didn't want to pack up and go back into the very hot hallway, so I just killed all the ants and did not ask for a change of room.

However, when I woke up next day... I saw hundreds of ants on the table, I wiped the table with paper towel, but after I went out for 2 hours and came back, the ants are back moving on the table.

So I asked for change of room, they gave us anther room, we went in and saw ANTS ON THE TABLE again... so I understand its not just unlucky, but the GO INN's quality is really THAT BAD.

They offered to clean the original room and offered a 10% refund (to expedia, they asked us to get it back from expedia). So we waited for an hour, but after we went back, we still saw about 20 ants moving on the table, but we knew there is nothing we can do.

We came back from the trip, expedia did not give the 10% refund, I contacted expedia, they said Go Inn did not provide any refund, then expedia tried to contact Go Inn for a week and came back saying they couldn't reach them.

That's it.

Top location and congrats to the staff

Great location and the hotel was very well maintained.

White walls and light floors, very clean with keycard secured modern lifts. Maintenance is available and it deals with any problems swiftly. My room was missing a desk phone - they provided one very quickly. Rooms are not huge but have enough space and the whole hotel seems to have been recently refurbished with us zndruropean sockets available. All toiletries are provided.

Staff at reception was great. The hotel is one block away from the Teatro Amazonas (the Opera House) and is very well run. We also saw a very ethical approach, looking after children. The best place we stayed in Brazil.

There was a well equipped gym with TV etc. Breakfast was great with good choices available. There is also a small convenience shop next to the reception that sells snacks, drinks and I think even things like fresh fruits etc.

Internet access was good although it was not very simple, with accounts with limited logins for each individual and setup with long passwords...

Excellent value for money, we booked through hotels.com. The reception was confused about whether breakfast was included - at least we still found that it was before we checked out. Agree it was more than adequate.

No hot water shower, card key entry system broken

No Hot water during my stay in room, Pretty frustrating when u wake up to No Hot Water for ur shower. On top of that the door entry system uses a magnetic card that doesn't work well...and u have to go back and forth to get ur key Remagnitized. Those are the facts and they should simply fix it. Seems like they are scrimping money on the hot water, and bought a cheap door entry system. Until they fix this customers should stay somewhere else

I stayed twice, for a total of three nights. The hotel is very clean and a very good value. Fitness center, good WiFi, free breakfast. It is near things like the Teatro Amazonas and some decent restaurants. Also, just a 20-minute walk from the market and the river. Not a great neighborhood, but not terrible - Interesting to walk through.

Good place to launch your Amazon jungle adventure

This is a wonderful affordable hotel to stay in while shopping for an adventure tour in the Amazon jungle nearby. It is in the very heart of the city, close to the main attraction, Amazon Theater, and the offices of all the highest rated adventure tour companies (we went with Iguana) and some museums. It is a few blocks away from the duty free shop zone and artisan shops... so all the shopping you need to prepare for the Jungle is accessible. Hotel is modern, free breakfast is great and the price is excellent. The square in front of the Theater has a number of good, cheap open air restaurants to have quality local food.

A Good Deal Keeps Getting Better

This is the sixth time that my fiancé and I have stayed at Go Inn; the changes justify a new review.
Atlantica Hotels has spent upgrade money on this property well. The WiFi has been upgraded and is much more reliable. Room televisions have been replaced with newer models with HDMI input, permitting video streaming. The workout room has new cardio equipment, and a full set of regulation dumbbells.
The staff has been great this time around. They've also been issued sharp new uniforms, apparently part of the facelift. They’re not entirely bilingual, but they make a real effort. The hotel was full during Carnaval, and we saw them serve a large number of international guests with courtesy, cordiality and aplomb.
Go Inn's breakfast has always been good, and now it's even better, with more selections. Repair, upkeep and housekeeping are as good or better than ever.
The hotel is vigilant about security, and especially about guests bringing their own “unofficial” guests to their rooms. Management’s essentially \"zero-tolerance\" policy is communicated clearly and tactfully throughout the hotel. We admire both the clarity and the tact.
Some stinginess with soap we mentioned in the past has been corrected. Oddly, the hand towels by the sink that disappeared after our first visit have still not reappeared, and are still missed. But that's not much to complain about. We’ll be back, and we're looking forward to our seventh visit.

Convenient location for a brief stay

This hotel is in one of the safer areas of Manuus. It is very close to the square where the theatre is and this is a pleasant place to be. The hotel was adequate but could benefit from some work in some areas e.g. there was mould on some of the corridor ceilings. Staff were extremely helpful though and the room was basic but adequate.

This is a basic hotel which is located in a very nice area, close to the Opera House for a very good price. I found it very convenient, several cafes and restaurants are located near the Opera House. The square at the Opera House is very festive at this time of year. Lots of entertainment and food vendors congregated during the evening. This is where I ate delicious typical Brasilian dinner for a very low price.

A very good breakfast buffet was included in my booking. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Note that it is very humid in this area at any time of year.

This location is also within walking distance to the port

My wife and I booked this hotel for a 1 night stay only. Service at front desk was ok, and the room were clean and quiet. The facility interior though was kind of disappointing. Hallways to the room was dark, and it felt like being on a very cheap hotel (one of my room's wall was pink). Breakfast was good.

The Go Inn is downtown, just a couple of blocks from the Teatro Amazons (Historical Theatre). We were there on a tourist trip and so we did not spend much time at the hotel. Our room was small, but it had a King size bed, mini fridge and safe. The breakfast at the hotel was \"light\" in comparison to most Brasilian hotel breakfasts, but it was plenty for us. There was free wifi and the air conditioning kept us cool! The folks at the desk were friendly and spoke English.

Still a Great Choice in Manaus

This is a follow-up to my review from last year. We stay at Go Inn 3-4 times a year for a week or more each time. It's our Manaus headquarters, and will continue to be.

Since our last stay (May 2015), we've seen some small but noticeable changes. The breakfast, already good, has gotten better, with more choices. We were impressed with the improvement in service. I've complained in the past about the hotel being stingy with soap; this time we had plenty of soap. There was an issue with our air conditioning, and rather than shift us to a different room -- never my preference after we've unpacked -- it was fixed, the same day and effectively. We notified the front desk of a burned out lightbulb, and it had already been replaced when we returned to the room. Even the WiFi seemed a little stronger.

The one complaint that I still have is that the hotel continues to be stingy with towels. In fact, it's a little worse: they have stopped providing hand towels at the sink. As I've suggested before, until they resolve this, bring or buy some towels of your own to improve your comfort. This shouldn't be the case, but it still is.

Overall, though, Go Inn continues to be a very good value for the money. We'll be back.

I won´t return to that hotel.

The air conditioner froze and it was hard to use the internet.
The bath was cold because they were saving energy, told us a employee.
We tried 3 or 4 times!
Close to the hotel, stay a group of criminals.
The only good condition of the hotel was the location.

Small hotel room in excellent location.

The staff at the front reception were helpful and responded instantly when our safe wouldn't work. The bathroom was far too small for an extended stay, it had the shower and toilet in it and the hand basin was in the main room. There was barely enough room for the bed and not enough space for two suit cases. It would have been ok for a one night stop with very small baggage.
The breakfast was very good but the evening menu was limited.
The location was excellent within easy walking distance to the opera house, other restaurants and the major shopping distance.
The laundry service was excellent.

Great budget option!

This is a very nice and well maintained property. The rooms are indeed small, but they have everything in it. The location is good, and so is the breakfast. Service is friendly. Wifi is reasonably good.

POOR MANAGEMENT, DON'T EXPECT MUCH.

This could be a good hotel, but it is not.
The hotel management style is terrible.
Don't expect hot water. Don't expect much.
They don't allow outgoing phone calls.
Very small rooms.

The best for the area

The hotel is probably the best in the area, and also good value for the fee. We haven't seen anything better and at the end of the day, was happy with our stay. However, people booking at the hotel needs to know that it is not luxurious. We sincerely missed a coffee machine to use in the room. Although the area looks a bit \"dicy\", we actually did go out at night to a nearby restaurant.

You get what you pay for.

The location of the hotel is perfect! You can go by foot to the most interesting thing in MANAUS.
The room is pretty small and affordable (there are no doors on the closet and the doule bed is two small beds connected).
Overall the room is very clean and organized that you have there all you need.
In the lobby there is a small shop for basic stuff , pretty expansive.
You can buy the same stuff for less in the grocery shop in the corner of the hotel.

Very clean basic hotel

The hotel was very clean and was comfortable. It is definitely not a luxury hotel (it was pretty basic - roughly equivalent to a very clean Red Roof Inn). The free breakfast was nice. The location (in the center of town near the opera house) was also convenient.

Hotel Staff are not helpful

I booked 3 days in this hotel, but I only needed to stay here for 2 days, I over-booked one day. I tried to cancel the last day of my stay, the front desk person couldn't understand English, so I tried to have my tour guild to talk to the manager (Her name is Adriana). She told me that she can not refund me the money because I booked through Expedia, but the hotel will NOT charge me for the day and I can ask Expedia for the refund. While when Expedia called the hotel for the verification, the manager denied it! So, I ended up paying 3 days for the 2 days I stayed there. I am disappointed that the hotel kinda lied to me when they told me that they would NOT charge me for the extra day.
