We have stayed at this hotel before and was pleased with the room size. However, on this trip we were given a very small room which made it difficult to move around. Very uncomfortable and made my stay miserable.
We informed a staff member about the room size and she didn’t try to accommodate us with a larger room. We were even willing to pay in addition charge she was just not willing to help. I know there were larger rooms available. We noticed two rooms by our rooms with doors opened for several days that were vacant. This is definitely our last visit to this hotel.

Stylish (European) boutique hotel in an affluent neighbourhood. Just 2 minutes walk north of train station. Sizeable room and bathroom. Great service. Loads of restaurants, shops, convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, all within walking distance. A great area to explore on foot and enjoy. And very reasonably priced too!

In the double deluxe room, the full classic Japanese bath was the highlight. It is unusual to find a classic Japanese bath in a western style hotel. (The single rooms have “unit baths”)
The hotel seems to be renovating little by little. The bed linens were high grade and the wall paper was new. The wifi was reliable. There was a small refrigerator in this room, which was a welcome surprise. The carpet was worn, due for renewal.
It is the only hotel in Jiyugaoka and a short walk to the train station.
No room service or dining in the hotel, but it is surrounded by restaurants. Nearby chain cafes open by about 7a.m.

What a great find! I booked really early to be there for the sakura festivals and got a great rate. Staff was very nice and helpful and the room was more than enough for my stay. And, it's a 5 minute walk from a main train station as well as plenty of izakayas and restaurants.

Great place to stay. We stayed in other locations around Tokyo, but this place was the best. The neighborhood is really great, with shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. it is a block away from a main train station, which does not get too busy. We stayed 4 nights, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Great staff who are always there to help.

My son and I both enjoyed our stay. He was close to Shibuya for the clubs to travel on the train. I enjoyed the organic grocery store almost next door and luxurious nail salon Luria for my Japanese Gel nail service. Their laundry service at hotel is affordable and efficient which made it feel like a true vacation because I wasn’t doing my own laundry since there is no coin laundry machine nearby. Highly recommend the hotel and the quaint walking town of many shops and restaurants. The Japanese pancake house Flippers is nearby and delivers via UberEats in case you feel like eating in! You just need to collect at lobby when they deliver!

Wonderful hotel in Jiyugaoka. The room was super clean and comfortable. Huge bath (ohuro)with a separate room for toilet. Fantastic staff at the front desk as well as people cleaning the rooms. We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely use it again when we come back to Tokyo.

We have stayed at the Pulitzer in Jiyugaoka several times. We have family who live in the area so it is convenient to catch up with them. However, it also has good train connections to the rest of Tokyo. The area around the Pulitzer is changing all the time with more and more shopping available however we did struggle to find places to eat at night.
Our room was small, as most rooms in Tokyo are, and the hotel was looking tired and is in need of a refresh. However, for the price and its location, minutes walk form the station, we'd stay there again.

I extended my stay here due to unforeseen circumstances on my end, and I'm glad I did! I stayed in a Queen room as a single woman traveler, and it was genuinely so comfortable.
The staff are all so kind and speak English. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The area itself, Jiyugaoka, is also extremely convenient to stay in if you're exploring Tokyo. The hotel is only a small distance away from the station, less than a 8 minute walk honestly.
Jiyugaoka in itself is quieter than the more popular Shibuya, and there's plenty of places for shopping and dining! And as I mentioned before: due to the well-connectedness, if you need to go to Shibuya or Shinjuku, it's about a 20-30 minute train ride.
Overall, I highly recommend, especially for first-time travelers like myself who wanted a well-connected place without the hustle, bustle, and noise of larger areas.

The hotel is ideally situated an easy two minutes walk from Jiyugauka Station. Even though the hotel does not provide breakfast there are many eating places within a 5 minutes walk, the nearest being next door to the hotel and McDonalds a few metres away. The hotel does provide a coffee machine and snacks in the lobby.

Great service of the hotel! It was 2 mins away from the Jiyougaoka station and the hotel staff were the best! They have helped me to call narita airport for my lost passport, and they wouldn't give it up until it was found. Million thanks to the reception uncle!
