It was extremely hot and humid, so having a washer and dryer in the room was necessary. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the station (very convenient). Tokyu Hotel Yutenji was clean and located at a convenient location. The thing I love this hotel the most is about people. The staff members are so kind and attentive. They have a coffee machine and we can have cup of coffee anytime we want. They provide different kinds of tea bag. There are books we can read at Front Desk area and they have a nice cute book marks for souvenirs for free. I love those detailed services. I hope I can book this hotel for my next trip to Japan.

Place is quiet. Beddings are clean and comfortable. Stores and restaurants are within a five minute walk. Situated in an area away from the crowd or tourists. Gives a feeling of old Japan vibes which is great.

Clean Accommodations Near Jiyugaoka
Chose this property due to location near Jiyugaoka. However spent little time in Jiyugaoka so location was not convenient. We also selected the hotel since it had 3 futons and a washer and dryer in the room. The futons were very comfortable. The air conditioning made for a cool respite from the heat. The washer and dryer took over 8 hours for a small load. We eventually went to a public laundromat and washed and dried in 70 minutes. Would only select this location again if we wanted to spend time near Jiyugaoka.

I loved my stay at the hotel. It’s not fancy but has everything you need and more, I found the bed really comfortable (firm) and having a microwave was great with the supermarket nearby. I loved the area- there are so many places to eat and when I wanted a busier area it was 3 stops to Shibuya on the frequent local train. I would certainly stay here again.

What I loved about this stay was that it was in a residential area but steps away from small shops and restaurants and the metro system. One stop away from Naka-meguro and a few from shibuya. Highly recommend!

The location was in a quiet neighborhood. But the express trains do not stop at Yutenji (closest station) so sometimes there's a bit of a wait and the dining options are not as robust. Rooms were comfortable size (for Japanese standards) but the bed can be a bit hard for those used to US hotels.

This hotel is very comfortable, well equipped rooms with laundry, only hotel in a great neighbourhood. If you want a high end hotel this isn't for you but if you want a reliable place to rest your head without any trouble that's close to transportation and good neighbourhoods then consider this place. Tokyu Stay Meguro Yutenji was home to us for almost 3 weeks and we were very happy with the experience. The rooms were slightly larger than those of other Tokyo hotels we’ve stayed in the past, we enjoyed the daily free coffee and hot chocolate, the lobby was small but charming, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Another aspect of this property we loved was the location. The quiet residential neighborhood was a big plus and there were a number of convenience stores, good restaurants, even shops in the immediate area. It was also conveniently located just minutes from Yutenji station. Definitely on our list of nice places to stay when in Tokyo.

The hotel itself is ok. Comfortable but a little tight by American Standards. I was good by myself, but if there were 2, even as a couple, it would have been tight. There's a washing machine and dryer but it takes 6 hours to do a load and it still wasn't dry. Fortunately, there's a balcony and it was a sunny day so some things air dried. You rent movies by buying a code card in the hallway but otherwise the TV was good (except CNN is dubbed in Japanese during the day). Staff was very nice and helpful. They called a taxi for me and offered to help with my luggage, but I took it myself. For a comfortable, inexpensive and convenient hotel, this was perfect.

18 night stay that felt like home
Great value for the quality of service and cleanliness! Extras like free coffee in the lobby, in room laundry (with one free laundry detergent pack each night you stay), access to shipping boxes (with duct tape), and free trolley hire all made our stay very convenient. Four convenient stores, Starbucks, McDonalds, KFC, Coco Ichibanya, Japan Post and most importantly, Yutenji Station are all within 5min walk of hotel. One vending machine in the building, with ice dispenser so you can make iced drinks. Cherry on top was 24 hour English speaking concierge with the friendliest and most professional service. Highly recommend, will definitely stay again.

My check-in was pleasant and easy as I was greeted by a friendly English-speaking concierge. Our room was relatively spacious compared to other Tokyo locations and featured a western-style bathroom (toilet, sink and shower in the same room). The toiletries were well-stocked, and there were extra items like nail clippers available for rental from the front desk. The location was only a couple of blocks away from the Yutenji rail station, which has a very nice supermarket (Tokyu Store) located within it for convenience. There were a few nice cafes and restaurants close by as well, and Shibuya, Daikanyama & Nakameguro stations were only a few minutes away on the Toyoko Line. Great location.

Great location as it’s in a nice quiet residential area, but still close enough to all the action in Tokyo. Yutenji rail station is only 3 stops from Shibuya hub terminal, and from there you can get to literally anywhere in Tokyo. Plenty of nice places to eat around the hotel, and even a 24 hour Deny’s less than a 8 min walk, and the tokyu grocery store is open till 1am if you want some beer or snacks for the hotel.

Seems like a new hotel; very clean, very modern. Rooms seem quaint and it's a quiet neighborhood. The hotel staff was extra helpful and friendly. Rooms aren't made up unless you ask. The wifi was good. Over-all a very nice experience. Kitchenette in room includes microwave and fridge. Seems like many guests are here for weeks. But we had a great time for the few nights we were there. Mostly business travelers.

The hotel and room are new and in very good conditions. It is valued-for-money in terms of the location and the quality of the room - especially that the bathroom is bigger than a normal business hotel. I like the idea of the no frills service of this hotel. My understanding is that they will change the towels and clear the rubbish on a daily basis but the room and bed sheet will be changed every week. To me, this is acceptable and yet environmental friendly and economical.

The hotel was under renovation during my stay, which translated into a big mess in the lobby and a lot of noise...HOWEVER, I still gave this hotel a good rating. They put me in a newly renovated room on the 6th floor. It was perfect for me. I didn't use the washer/dryer in the room (due in part to the Japanese only instructions), but often used the microwave. The neighborhood was ok, but wasn't within normal people's walking distance. I always walk instead of taking the train, so the 45 minutes walk to Shibuya was nothing. Taking the train makes it quite close. I also walked to Ebisu and Hiroo, which were about the same distance. It is a good hotel and after the renovations are complete on October 10th, it will be better.

Clean, affordable apartments in a good location
I've stayed here a few times this past summer (2013). It's an apartment hotel so don't expect the kind of service you might see at a regular hotel. The rooms are clean, and come with free internet (both wired and wifi) as well as in-room washing machine/dryer (small by N.American standards, but fully functional). Good location with quick access to both Shibuya and Yokohama via the Toyoko Line. There a few nice eateries in the area between the Yutenji station and the hotel. Perfect for the solo business traveller.

I've stayed here a few times this past summer (2013). The rooms are simple, but clean and affordable. The location is very convenient, just a few stops away from Shibuya on the Toyoko line. Yokohama can also be accessed easily (if you catch an express train). All the basic necessities are there: free wired/wireless internet, in-room washing machine/dryer, small kitchenette. There are also a few interesting eateries in the neighborhood between the hotel and the Yutenji train station. Perfect for a solo business traveler.

Big rooms with washing machine
The biggest room I ever had in Tokyo during my 13 visits. Haveing you own washing maching, smal lstove and microwave was very useful since I stayed 19 night. The area around the hotel was quite, with many nice restaurants and a couple of bars to visit. Cleaning only once a week unless requested, which was fine for me, but maybe not suitable for everyone.
