The property is beautiful and grand with a fantastic breakfast and the most attentive staff, the only thing is we found was that is wasn’t walkable to any of the attractions or areas we wanted to visit, and the closest metro was about a 20 min walk away.

I am delighted to be staying at the Westin Tokyo. Initially, I thought I would prefer a more Japanese-style hotel. The Westin has a special flavor and is exquisite on so many levels. The rooms are impeccable, the food excellent, and, most importantly, they have outstanding Concierge services. I don't speak Japanese.

Staying here felt like being at home. While it is a large hotel with potentially many guests congregating at the same time, the layout and design made the place feel calm and relaxing. The city view was wonderful from our room and seeing so much green outside in the middle of the city was great. The neighborhood was convenient and walkable, many restaurants nearby (reservations were a bit hard to get with little notice. Neighboring Hiroo was about 20 minutes walk and had so much to offer too. Overall this was a great hotel and sanctuary in the middle of a huge and bustling Tokyo.

We had a view of Mt. Fuji from our room which was amazing. What we didn’t like was that the bar on 22F charges 5,000 yen to sit in a window seat! Even when the place was completely empty! Just gauging the customer.

It is right in shibuya Its my second time here. It is a short pleasant walk across restaurants and shops the Yebisu Garden area to the Ebisu Station that get to everywhere. I got a Suica subway pass.

I had access to the club lounge and it was nice. With Covid caution, cocktail hours were set, and we had to choose from one of the slots. With a group of 3 checking in at different times this could have been a bit friendlier because when I asked if we can come in for 2 slots they didn’t accept it (1 person was coming in late so I wanted to get one drink first, and then come later on with all 3 of us).

Otherwise, the hotel was excellent.

Solid for the price. Biggest issue is access to the subway which requires a 10 minute walk of almost 1km. It doesn’t sound much but it is given the amount of walking one does in Tokyo. I would say the room requires renovation. Breakfast was reasonable.

The Westin never disappoints! Super comfortable Heavenly Bed, clean room, and wonderful staff all throughout the hotel. The hotel is located in a very convenient location close to many 'western' restaurants and the metro system is a 10 minute walk away.

Westin in Tokyo always a great place to leave Tokyo from. The Limousine bus leaves from the hotel to Narita. The rooms are large as are the bathrooms. The bell hop and staff outside were wonderful. Unfortunately, our room was not available to check in to until 4:30pm (perhaps a coffee/tea in the lobby might have been a good way to address since we were informed that check in is at 3pm) and there was some type of water dripping down from the lobby ceiling (assuming AC water).

Great staff, dated rooms.

The staff really makes this place. They are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel itself is somewhat dated. We stayed in two different rooms and the quality of each differed to a noticeable degree. The design/decor is pretty 1980's Dallas. When we were there the second time it was also noticeably more families, and I now know that my version of hell is a club lounge full of loud children. The location is pretty good, it's about a 10 minute walk to Ebisu Station, which can take you pretty much anywhere.

The Westin is clean and comfortable, but this one is very dated. It is overdue for a number of upgrades. The concierges were not particularly helpful, and the bar staff could have been warmer. The area is quite quiet. For the cost, there are other hotels in Tokyo that are far better.

A little sprucing up is needed.

The carpeting and furniture in the rooms are in need of changing. The decor is of an older vintage but very nice and high end for the time period. The furnishings are worn beyond what is expected in an otherwise nice property. The service at breakfast was unusually poor by general standards and very bad by the normally extremely efficient and high Japanese standards. On busy days it was completely off the mark and on average days it was still average at best. The staff is always great but the whole place could use a bit of sprucing up including the uniforms of the staff. I have stayed there before and I would stay there again but my expectations would be lower than in years past. The Ebisu neighborhood is great and even the walk to the train station is pleasant.

The hotel is near Ebisu station which is a JR and subway stop. Overall, the hotel is quite decent but needs a little bit of updating with décor. But everything was clean and the bfast buffet was decent. We had a pretty nice stay and would recommend it. Good bang for buck.

Staff has changed and it will take a while for them to accept that all customers are important, not just cater to those who appear to be affluent or demanding. What’s left of the staff (5 years or more) are still great. Rooms are always comfortable, room to move.

It's a safe choice if you are staying in Tokyo. There are other newer high end hotels in Tokyo lately but if you like to stay out of the madness and the noise, this place is a winner. Nice quiet residential area with much nicer restaurants and still close enough to all the major spots in Tokyo.

My Go-To Hotel in Tokyo

This was my 3rd stay at this property in the past year, I keep returning for the excellent customer service, extremely comfortable bed and spacious rooms, convenience to the Tokyo Metro system, and location outside the noise and traffic of more centrally located hotels. My booking included free breakfast in their main restaurant, which was superb, as was the Friday evening buffet. As a government employee, I'm limited to a fixed allowance for each night, and Hotels.com was the only site I could book a room close to that figure; only negative is the limited points SPG awarded me for the 2-night stay because I didn't book directly. Bottom line, I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning again in the near future.

The place is fabulous! The staff are super friendly and very courteous. The room and cigar lounge (all the good Cuban cigars for sale there) were outstanding. Didn't find a fault anywhere. Paid 3000 yen for parking but was able to stay 6 hours after checking out. Highly recommend it!!

The staff were wonderful and courteous. They were good at what they do. I arrived very late on a snow storm night and everywhere was closed for food. One staff walked few minutes with me to a convenient store. I needed a taxi at 5:30am the next morning and it was taken cared of. The room was roomy, nice and clean.

Worst 4/5 star hotel experience I have had - bedding / sheets / cushions and towels horrible. The concierge was absolutely hopeless all they could say is sorry it’s New Years nothing is open which is rubbish because once we left hotel many places were open. Concierge made no effort to find us a guide. On our final night they wouldn’t even make room at their in hotel restaurants to eat at. Avoid this hotel.

For a five star hotel, unfortunately the spa was not five star quality. Staff were professional and courteous, but the massage qualifications and capability were non existent will all but one person ( Naoco) who was excellent. They did give us a discount for the horrible massages, but it does't negate the fact that most of the spa massage staff don't belong working in a spa.

Went for a business/weekend trip to Tokyo. Decided to give Westin a try since we've never stayed there before. The room was big and comfortable. Smoking room available. Clean. Breakfast on point. Close to shops and not very far from subway. Staff very courteous and speak English. Everything high quality. Way better than Hyatt or Sheraton by far.

Great Service and great hotel.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The concierge was very excellent. I was trying to make an appointment with one of the large grocery chains and she helped me find the right contacts and let me use the phone to get make the appointment. The rooms are older, but have a lot of character and were very clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. It had a wide variety of items and they had a hot station serving omelets. I really enjoyed staying at the Westin. One downside is that is was a little far from the train station.
