The Log is a beautiful high quality hotel.

Excellent breakfast with a wide range of high quality options. Staff extremely helpful. Beautiful bar area with very friendly staff. Hotel room was well decorated and very comfortable. It is quite a way from the City centre but Uber was very quick and cheap. The metro was also only a 10 minute walk away. The hotel had car parking so if coming by car would recommend this high quality hotel. Only minus was check out as it took 15 minutes in the queue. Perhaps you could have an express checkout for those with no bills to pay.

Brand new design hotel near the Porto FC stadium and inner ring road. Cheap and fast taxi rides ( or subway) into the historic centre make it a cost effective location for staying in Porto, plus there is a area 5 min walk with plenty of good local cafes and restaurants.
Enjoyed it so much we stayed a second time on our Portugese trip, the rooms are very comfortable, and brilliant bathrooms, plus great complimentary breakfast.
Only change would be to lower the bar/reception lighting levels at night to make it more conducive to a nightcap. It’s very bright!

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. Interior and room was lovely. All still smelling new and woody.

Buses to centre nearby or metro a 12 minute walk. Very cheap, best to buy single multiple titles.

Staff at desk friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was amazing and staff were friendly and efficient.

Some moany bits, shower kept going boiling hot, room could have done with a bin for waste. There was only 1 small bin under sink. We bagged up our rubbish and it was never taken by housekeeping!

Overall though a great hotel and supermarket and local cafes nearby off the main road at top, a 5 minute walk passed McDonald's on your right. .

Overall, the hotel was okay for a short stay. It’s a good option if you just need a place to sleep, as it’s centrally located and convenient for getting around.

The staff was friendly and willing to help, but the service could improve. When I checked in, the room was clean but had more than four pairs of socks that didn’t belong to me. I had to call reception three times before they finally came to remove them.

Breakfast was very basic, with little variety. The food in general was fine but nothing exceptional. Cleanliness was acceptable, and the service was okay.

One thing to note is that parking is not included — we rented a car and had to pay €15 per night, which was disappointing.

In summary, it’s not a bad hotel, but it’s very simple. Perfect if you’re just looking for a place to rest, not for a full comfort experience.

The hotel is new; so everything is new and clean. Room was large, but missing a safe box and a mini-frig (our friends' rooms had them). We had to request for them and the hotel provide a mini frig the next day, but no safe box :(

No light directly above the dressing mirror in the room, separately from the bathroom (need more light in the bathroom/shower also).

A excellent stay in Porto

Stayed along with friends, who came in separate cars, finding the hotel on two different sat-navs was extremely difficult, had to revert to Google maps. The information of the hotels location from the centre of the city, stated \"3 minute drive\" that would have been at midnight & driving at 100k/hr. Saying all that, the hotel & staff are both excellent, spacious clean room, excellent breakfast, we also had dinner in the hotel, which was also excellent & reasonably priced. The hotel is in a quiet location, with the metro 10 minutes walk & a bus stop 5 minutes away. Both journeys taking about 25 minutes.

Several of the staff were very friendly and helpful. One young lady at reception even remembered my first name the day after checking in. The gentlemen working at reception and at the restaurant were also very pleasant and helpful. The initial person who checked us in wasn’t very pleasant and one lady working in the restaurant seating people was not cooperative or pleasant. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff at breakfast were very attentive.

Brand new designer hotel, with a very ‘woody’ theme. It’s all very stylish, and quite different. Staff were excellent, friendly reception, great barman, and helpful breakfast staff. The rooms are spacious with really comfortable beds, and super bathrooms. The included breakfast was very good, with a huge selection of hot and cold options, plus an amazing selection of pastries.
The only change I would make is to change the light levels at night to make the bar area more inviting.
Location wise it’s close to a tram stop, but Ubers are only €5 to the city centre ( €12 from the airport).
It’s a quiet business/residential neighbourhood, close to the FC Porto stadium, but there is an area 5 minutes walk away with several cafes and restaurants, which were all very nice around the Jardim Doutor Francisco Sá Carneiro.

I gave it a total of 3 stars. The property is new, looks beautiful and modern. As for it being new, I understood how our room was without a fridge. The 3 stars come from how we would ask the front desk staff for an additional towel for our child who was with us or a sheet and pillow for the pull out bed for our child to which the front desk staff would say “oh it’s late, housekeeping went home.” Or “we will try informing housekeeping.” But no actions were actually taken. I had to take initiative to look for a housekeeping personnel to provide me with the said essentials. The booking by the way is for 2 adults and one child of 6. The restaurant staff are the best though. They were pleasant, hospitable and made our stay great! My husband would never fail to say after breakfast that he the restaurant staff needs to be commended for how they do their work!

Its a nice hotel but not managed very well. Check in time was 15:00 but room was still not ready. Following day my room was not made until 16:00 After calling reception. The restaurant is not open all day. . Its 4km from.the city no restaurant near by. Overall its a modern hotel with comfortable beds. No very professional at reception. The hotel looks nice and is fairly new, with a good breakfast. But overall, I cannot recommend it.

We came back to our room at 6:30 pm after a long day, and it hadn’t been cleaned. No apology from the front desk—just an excuse that they were short-staffed. I asked for at least the bathroom to be refreshed (towels, trash, etc.), but the cleaning staff insisted I leave the room, and then reception called asking me again to step out. At nearly 7:00 pm, I was waiting outside my room instead of resting.

The whole point of staying in a hotel is to return to a clean room and fresh towels. Having a full hotel but not enough staff makes no sense, and what’s worse is that no effort was made to make up for the inconvenience.

Disappointing and not what you would expect from a hotel stay.

We booked two nights for our arrival into Porto. Early morning arrival so we actually booked the night before our arrival to be able to crash after our flight. The blockout curtains made our first experience perfect. This place is new and very spacious. Front desk staff was very helpful pointing some highlights of the city as well as restaurant recommendations.
So if a brand new hotel isn’t enough to intrigue you, just book this hotel for the breakfasts which are amazing!

We had booked our stay at The Log Porto Hotel by Piamonte Hotels July. We were really excited about this but then a week ago our excitement turned into a nightmare. Our flight was cancelled by our Air Canada due to a flight attendant strike and they could not fly us out to Porto given the huge supply and demand. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip and requested a refund from this hotel for our stay on Thursday-Saturday. The hotel absolutely refused, was extremely insensitive to our request and refused to cancel our reservation. We were charged for our \"stay\" regardless even though we gave more than 72 hours notice and they were a nightmare to get ahold of.

Would never recommend this hotel to anyone - save your money and stay somewhere else. Horrible customer service and communication.

The place looks very modern but far from being functional. It lacks furniture, i.e., a desk to place your computer or to eat. See the pictures. On the other hand, and in all fairness, I was very pleased with the eram attention of the front desk staf. We left at 3:00 am and they were kind enough to pack us breakfast boxes to take with us. Whatever lack of furniture there was in the room was compensated ten-fold in attention.
