Our second time staying in this hotel. The staff are all amazing right from the check-in people to the concierge and bartenders. This hotel probably has the best buffet breakfast I have ever had in my life. Highly recommend this location.

Lovely staff, offered to take our bags to the room, always polite and helpful. Had a Superior Twin room with balcony overlooking the gardens, table and chairs on balcony. Nice and peaceful and quiet outlook. Pool area was nice, even had a dip though it was the end of February so water was a bit cold. There was a man with a bird of prey round the pool to chase the seagulls away as they had a tendancy to land in the pool! Breakfast was exceptional, buffet style, cooked breakfast, continental meats and cheeses, huge selection of fresh bread, pastries, fresh prepared fruit and yoghurts, cereals, fresh juices, coffee and tea and even prosecco! In a great location with walking distance to supermarket, Lagos town and the beaches. Would definitely stay again.

The resort was very nice and clean, with great staff! We found that the walls were very thin so we were often kept awake at night by loud talkers in other rooms. The breakfast had many options and was restocked well. The outdoor pool area was nice but we did not go in as it was not heated and therefore too cold. Overall it was a relaxing stay!

Staff are very nice and helpful, the facility is absolutely massive and walking around can take a long time, the restaurants were okay but extremely expensive for what they were. For the rooms the beds were extremely comfortable but my shower door was broken and the wifi signal didn’t reach most of my room which is quite annoying

What a great surprise this place was. The staff were excellent and so polite. I was upgraded due to VIP with expedia and the room was perfect. No issues at all. The breakfast buffet was probably one of the best I have ever had. So much variety and everything was delicious.
Would highly recommend and will definitely go back before my wintering in the Algarve is finished.

Staff was amazing, didn’t like that they did advertise they have 3 restaurants with winter hours but when we got there they didn’t actually have them all open. That should be changed to reflect what is actually open. Even still on their information pages in the room it says it’s open but only once you talk to the front desk staff it was them who informed us that they weren’t open due to low season. Also the fridge in our room was never cold, we had to order ice every day to keep our water cold. Us Canadians don’t like warm drinks. €5 a bucket and it was not good quality ice. That’s about the only down fall.

Room was dirty, poorly maintained, on a wet cold the room had a noisy air condition blasting and could not be switched off. I was freezing in the day and worst in the night. Expedia should not allow them to use those rooms.
The waldrobe rail fell on us when we opened to put our coats.
Telephone not working.
They dont seem to lean properly or check anything in the room.
Shame expedia do not put pressure on them to maintain standards.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So close to the train station and bus station if you decide to go back to Lisboa by bus (which is so much better than the train). Literally one minute walk to the bus station. It’s a resort NOT a hotel. The stuff is GREAT! Beatrice helped us a lot. The room is nice, breakfast is good!!!! It is just so good!

No view basement room. Building is a maze of stairs and corridors. $18 extra per hour for late check out. Power in room goes out when you leave the room so no charging of all your devices when you are out.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. Very walkable to tons of restaurants, shopping, and the marina. The hotel could use updating. There are tons of open to the public unused odd spaces. The pool decking is in disrepair and there are not enough umbrellas for all of the seating. We did not find the staff to be very accommodating or even pretend to not hate their jobs - especially the women at the front desk. The advertised “beach club” does not allow hotel guests to even sit in a chair poolside without paying for the chair even while ordering drinks and food which we found odd. I understand being charged for beach chairs, but there were tons of empty pool chairs (not sun beds which I would understand) & we were not permitted to sit. Nor were we permitted to lay poolside on our towels - we were made to sit on a rock wall - even while purchasing drinks and food from their poolside restaurant all day. I don’t quite understand why they are referring to this location as “their beach club” when hotel guests aren’t treated any differently.
Overall, the location of the resort is the only draw.

The Tivoli is an extremely large facility with several “wings” of rooms
Negotiating our way around was interesting at first but we got used to it

We loved the property, easy walk to old town where all the action is. Nice pool area, the property is large and easy to get lost. Liked the happy hour held daily in the bar, we met many guests staying in the hotel and had lots of fun. The breakfast was awesome. We would stay here again, the room was large and clean.

there were two things I did not like about the property, was that you could only use the pool near the rooms, You could only use the pool ( or sit on a lounge chair if you paid to reserve them , 15 Euro in advance, or 20E the day of. And I found this out the hard way. Also, Ice cubes are scarce, to fill up my yeti for the day, they will charge 5 Euro per day to get ice!!! Just charge extra per night instead of nickel and diming the service.

Standard hotel. Pool, longe areas and reception were nice. We got a standard room with a horrible location. We asked to move and were shown probably the only room in a worse location so stayed put as we didn’t want to waste anymore time the next day looking for another room. Reception didn’t ask if we wanted our card added for room charges even though we paid for room at checkin. Ordered drinks at pool only to find out we couldn’t charge to room without making another trip to reception. Also said they’d text when our room was ready but no text. We went back to reception after checkin time and it was ready!! Not the kind of service expected at Tivoli. No apology even though we let reception know.

The resort itself is very conveniently located within 5-10 minute walk to everything. The staff was very accommodating ,especially we were allowed to have breakfast at 5;30am because of our early departure. The only thing this resort needs is one big remodel in the main areas. At least replace old ,worn-out carpet. Otherwise, everything was great

Our air conditioner was dirty and needed filter cleaned so it didn’t work efficiently At night bugs would come out of the bathroom shower drain. I even bleached it a few time and still had bugs. I felt very uncomfortable knowing bugs are infesting in our shower.

It was a nice property. We asked for ice & had to pay for it or was denied by the staff. Went to the grocery store to buy our own. We rented two rooms for over a week & paid a good amount of money. One of the rooms had bugs & it took 2 complaints to the front desk to have the room switched. Large buffet for breakfast but the food was the same & just ok. Most staff was great, bar staff not so friendly. One of my family members room had a broken lock on the patio door, a complaint was made & nothing was done. Any issues of concern that were brought up was brushed off by staff & nothing done about it.

This was a great option for our one night stay in Lagos. It is walkable from the train station and to the Marina and night life in Lagos. We didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the amenities, but had everything that you would need. The layout of the hotel takes a bit of getting used to but staff is friendly and will show you around. Breakfast buffet was great. Would recommend and stay there again if in Lagos.

My partner and I had 5 nights here recently and absolutely loved it. We even got a random free room upgrade (and got told it was the best room in the hotel, what a win!).
Buffet breakfast was nice and had plenty of options. We didn't go to any of the three restaurants as we went into the Old Town for dinner, but I'm sure they're nice too.
Only very minor thing was the light outside out room only worked sporadically, so it was very dark coming back in the evenings.

I’m not gonna lie, I was most excited for this hotel. The pictures looked amazing. I was a little disappointed upon arrival. When we checked in they gave us a little run down of going to beach and hotel amenities felt like a little “nickel and dimey”. We got to our room and it was ok, pretty run down and dated but that didn’t bother us because as long as we have A/C we were happy. We opened the door to our room and found a huge cockroach waiting for us. Luckily my husband worked fast and killed it immediately. We chopped it up to a one off and put a towel under our door thereafter. The next morning ANOTHER roach attempted to enter our room! Ugh I couldn’t sleep the rest of the trip. The overall grounds of the hotel were pretty unkempt and dirty so we kind of understood where that came from. But needless to say we would not stay here again. I will say it’s nice they have a free shuttle to the beach so that was a plus.

This hotel is not what it pictures at all. All of the pictures posted by the hotel are absolutely filtered, from the pools, rooms, food, service. The gym is laughable.
I can keep going on and on about the terrible experience we had at the tivoli Lagos.
I would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Tivoli Lagos was overall nice. It's an older property so lot of things were dated. We got upgraded to a suite which was really nice with a big wrapped around terrace with a stunning view however since this hotel is pretty old there weren't that many plug outlets in our suite. This might not be an issue for a lot of people but it was for us as my husband is a professional photographer and videographer and has lot of equipments that needed to be charged including both of our laptops.

The bathroom sink was growing mold in the back which was gross and we requested to clean that up but was never done. Breakfast was mediocre and some staff at the breakfast were not friendly at all.

But other than these hotel is location is very convenient. Only a few minute walk to the square and marina. It was safe and quiet. They had designated parking lot which was really convenient if you are renting a car. All in all it was good.

The Tivoli Hotel enjoys a privileged location—central, and ideal for exploring the surrounding attractions. However, the logistical layout presents notable challenges for guests, particularly those with mobility concerns or heavy luggage.

Our assigned room was located at a significant distance from the main lobby, involving a series of corridors and, more problematically, stairs.

Adding to the difficulty, bellboy assistance was not proactively offered during check-in or check-out. This was particularly disappointing given the hotel’s tier, where attentive guest services should be a standard expectation.

This hotel has one major advantage, its location. Beyond that, the experience fell short on multiple fronts. The atmosphere lacked warmth, & the staff didn’t make us feel welcome or cared for. There’s a clear need for better training, especially when it comes to engaging respectfully with guests from diverse backgrounds.
The complimentary breakfast was poorly done, with limited options. The hotel had almost nothing for vegan guests. We also waited over an hour for a simple lunch (salad & pasta) at the bar, which was frustrating.

Service throughout our stay felt inattentive, & the overall condition of the hotel could use some improvement. Until the staff is better trained & the hospitality standards are raised, I wouldn’t consider returning.

Although ours was a very short stay.. I can say this for sure that this is in such a great location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Yes the beach is not walkable but they have shuttles. The marina is just a walk over the bridge. So many shopping and dining options. Boat tours from marina easy to access as well. Breakfast was also very good. Room spacious and clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Bar was good and there was a happy hour. In the evening they had someone playing the guitar which was nice as well. I would stay here again if going to Lagos.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing. The staff was not welcoming or accommodating, and there’s a real need for better training especially in how to interact respectfully with guests of all nationalities and races. The free breakfast was horrible, with very little effort put into it. There’s barely any vegan options available at the hotel. Lunch by the bar took over an hour just to get 4 salads and 1 order of plain pasta, which was frustrating. The service overall was slow and disorganized, and the hotel itself feels like it needs attention and care. I wouldn’t stay here again unless there are major improvements in hospitality, inclusivity, and overall quality.

Well located property, but it’s in need of a lot of maintenance/feels quite dated. Generally had what we needed for the stay, but just felt like it was need of repairs. There were also quite a lot of ants in our room each night. The cleaning staff also never cleaned our room despite multiple requests for cleaning, it seemed like they had very limited hours that were later in the day when we were in the room.

Perfectly located close to tons of amenities within walking distance to a few really beautiful beaches and restaurants. Travelled with young children 4 and 6 felt extremely safe at all times. The pool area isn’t totally equipped for children. Drinks are pricey at pool bar and it’s quiet vibe around there felt like I had to remind my children to stay on the quieter side. Definitely the beaches are a better option. We stayed for 6 nights the buffet was the exact same each morning. Tons of options however would have been nice to see a few different options. I’d recommend this hotel for the ideal area beds were comfy and rooms were clean.

The water pressure in the washroom sink was way to strong. Water splashed all over the counter (wasteful).

The marketing photos of the hotel online were misleading and makes you think it’s located right near the ocean. It’s not! And totally closed in by buildings around. The pool is not very big but surrounded by so many guests at the pool with lounge chairs fully occupied. Very old and stale in all common areas and really need updating !
Funky layout of rooms on several separate levels with connecting corridor and elevator upon arrival servicing one floor only requiring guests to use stairs to different elevator in order to get to their room. Then needing to use stairs in between floors etc. just really tacky. The room we were in was clean however. The Portuguese restaurant in the hotel was excellent. Not coming back to this hotel again!

The hotel is tired and needs work, a complete Reno. Our shower had black mould in all the corners, lots of it. Behind the bathroom sink huge black mould. The toilet seat was cut somehow and missing parts. The hotel pool was missing flooring tiles and the patio deck was horrible conditions. The bartender in the inside lounge tried to tell me that they only had warm red wine. The dinning restaurant there I must say had great food, but that is it, they late to serve between meals and the prices are over rated compared to the area and even with Madrid 5 star hotels we went to. All in all never again for me. The pictures they use are doctored up otherwise I would have never stayed there. The receptionist are great and friendly but that's all. I do not like to give such reviews but I felt I must.

The hotel, staff and food were fabulous. We were a bit surprised that we had no view when staying for 9 nights but really enjoyed our room. We also really liked getting free drinks if we stayed green and not washing our towels everyday. Thank you for the great hospitality and your lication was fabulous as well. We loved our stay and will tell our friends in Canada.

Loved staying at this property! It was easy to drive to from Lisbon and they had parking underneath the hotel. This place is huge and we got lost a couple times trying to find our room. The pool area was so quiet, no music or anything. Felt weird talking or walking through that area, which was weird because we had to pass by it to get to our room. The breakfast was very extensive and had a great selection. It’s also close to shopping and dining. My only issue was that the bathroom didn’t have a fan, so it got pretty stuffy after a shower. Aside from that we had a great stay. Would stay here again.

Basic hotel in need of freshen up. Room was ok and basic. Had a terrace overlooking a back alley where I believe the kitchen was. Delivery and garbage pick up occurred. The pool area decking was uneven with boards loose. Missing tiles in the pool, so the resort just looked dated. Food for breakfast was okay. we did not eat at the 3 restaurants.

We loved out 4 day stay here. The breakfast was fabulous and it is very close to the town to walk into. I only give it a 4 because it is a little dated and they were doing construction on some parts. The pool area was nice but they also had some areas taped off to do work. Staff were very friendly at the front desk and service staff. We loved that our room had AC.

Have stayed a few times before lovely hotel only problem for me was allowing people to save sunbeds around the pool. That policy needs to change.
