Great location and outdoor space

We were there for 3 nights. Great location with wonderful outdoor spaces and pool area. Located on the high end designer shopping street so a bit less hectic than other parts of Capri. Things quiet down at the end of the day when the day visitors leave.
Make sure to utilize the porter service at 20 Euro per bag and arrange for a taxi through the hotel to avoid long lines at the ferry dock. However, there is a significant premium to reserve a taxi over the already very high taxi cost. Hotel reserved taxi 60 euros …on our own the second day was 25 Euro. Front desk staff not very engaging given the quality of the hotel, but they were very professional and helpful when approached. Overall a great hotel on a very overcrowded island.

Staff was great. Shout out to Giani, the bellman, and to the staff at the checking desk as they were very helpful. Location was amazing! Food was good. Washrooms could use a renovation. A bit pricey for what it is but overall, the hotel was good.

If you have bigger luggages, it is worth paying the €20 per luggage per way. It’s pricey, but worth having to carry them up the hill.

I’ve been to Capri many times. Luckily, I discovered the Hotel Syrene— the best location, a block away from all the shops, restaurants, gelato cafes & transportation. The staff was terrific, and each one was nicer than the next. Plus, my room was beautiful and elegant. The bathroom and amenities are excellent. Loved every moment. I can’t wait to return next summer.

Loved it! Its an oasis right outside the best walking part of Capri Town.

I wasn’t sure what to expect since it was our first time in Capri, but this hotel is very cute and the outdoor dining outside is under a bunch of lemon trees so peaceful. Staff was soooo helpful helping us make dinner reservations and also beach club reservations. Yoli ate in the middle of all the shopping and so conveniently located! Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Hotel Syrene in Capri was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. They were warm, professional, and always ready with a smile, offering great local recommendations and making sure every detail of our stay was seamless.

The hotel itself is beautiful — elegant, peaceful, and ideally located just steps from the heart of Capri. The front desk was so kind to upgrade our room for free without question, with lovely views and all the comforts you could ask for. We especially enjoyed relaxing surrounded by lemon trees and the island’s charm.

But what truly made the experience special was the staff — especially at the front desk. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel right at home, and we’re so grateful for their hospitality.

We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend Hotel Syrene to anyone visiting Capri!

Beautiful hotel with very kind staff. The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful sea view. The location is great with many restaurants and shops around. There is an elevator from the hotel that goes down to the ferry terminal. I just wished the restaurant had more protein options for breakfast instead of pastries. I highly recommend hotel Syrene for your stay in Sorrento.

A hidden gem in Capri. This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is a little off of the main piazza, so very quiet & not crowded. The whole feeling of this hotel is calming from the minute you walk up the stairs to the entrance. Easy access to everything the island has to offer. The pool & the outdoor seating area is lovely. The staff is wonderful & very accommodating.

Charming Capri Hotel

We had never visited Capri and we took a leap of faith. The hotel was in an excellent location alongside two of the most high end hotels on the island and in the middle of all the shops. It was much better than I expected from pictures on-line including the charming rooms (we had two, and both had giant balconies with magical views), a lovely pool area and a lunch/bar spot under the lemon trees. The front desk attendants were incredibly helpful and the reception area and attached breakfast terrace space was lovely. There was a complimentary breakfast that provided plenty of options. The only complaint we had was that the bed needs some updating. The pillows and mattress weren’t the most comfortable and that upgrade would make the hotel perfect. It wasn’t awful, though. A much more reasonable rate than many of the neighboring hotels and very pleasantly surprised. Finally, we walked on the pedestrian paths from our location to both the Marina grande and the other side of the island to a beach club. Heading down the path wasn’t bad, though not for anyone with mobility issues. We took a cab back up the hills and would recommend that to anyone!

Lovely hotel in a great spot.

Location is best. Short walk to everything. Our 3 person room was roomy, clean, with a good sized closet and a large balcony. The breakfast was good and staff very professional and helpful. They took care of all of our bookings for us.

Very friendly staff, all you can eat breakfast that was delicious. Upon our arrival, the receptionist gave us many suggestions for Capri. They even had these touch pads in the room where it has a bunch of suggestions on what to do, food to eat, book transportation and reservations, etc.

Fantastic location as it is still central but out of the way from the high traffic areas. The staff were super helpful as we were able to check in a bit early. The breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast service and location were wonderful as well. The hotel itself is beautiful with nice clean rooms and a beautiful courtyard/pool area.

When I come to Capri I expected a room with somewhat of a decent view. Been going there for Years. for rooms . 2500 eurous small room at qiuisisana or Lapalma 3000 euros per night. Will never go there again. At least not in July. It’s a rip off. They take advantage. Too much everywhere.

This is a pay-by-the-hour quality establishment with Hilton prices. I paid $350 for a room that was SO disgusting, dirty, smelly, and just all around terrible. I would not pay $49 a night here, much less $350- I was beyond angry. I booked through my credit card so I didn’t have much to barter with, it was non refundable. All I can do is forewarn others. Look at the pictures from my room and decide for yourself. There was hair EVERYWHERE, the bathroom door wouldn’t even shut, the “ocean view” was mostly of the nasty roof with clothing and trash on it... Just terrible. And all management would offer was a cheaper room, which I checked out and had crumbs in the floor of the kitchen and hair in the bathroom as well. DON'T STAY HERE!

Seaview room with terrace on second floor offers fascinating perspective of pedestrian street below, Via Camerelle (at one point included a parade with marching band). Also overlooks beautiful natural landscape. No noise from people on street below at night, but garbage cans shuffling each morning at a neighboring hotel proved a rude wakeup call. Pool-view room might be better choice in trems of noise level as swimming not allowed in early morning or late evening. Gorgeous pool, but cold water in May as unheated. Lap swimmers will love it. Lemon grove by pool is charming spot for a prosseco and lunch snack. Hotel in great location, close to posh La Camerelle ristorante (eat at an inside table to hear music) and shopping — as well as to the pathways to walk to Parco Astarita (must see), Villa Lysis & Villa Jovis. Twice a day maid service was superb with pleasant housekeepers who provided plenty of towels. Marvelous front desk, fluent in English, and helpful with suggestions for restaurants, sights and ferry information. Room was plain but well equipped, with very good bathroom. Loved the shutters that opened and closed over glass doors to terrace with flick of a switch, which blocked all outside light and aided sleep. The included breakfast lacked oatmeal but nothing else. A charming hotel overall, with a classy and clean interior that is well maintained with extremely professional staff and well worth the price. The owner is to be commended. We would stay here again.

Our stay was fantastic - great location, close to everything and yet private/secluded at the same time. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful, recommending local restaurants and the best sights, and even helped us find the perfect boat tour of the island. With their help we were able to avoid the tourist traps and experience the best parts of the island. Our room (sea view) was clean, spacious, and had a stunning terrace.

- Away from the main tourist district, so lovely and quiet.
- Cab’s drop you about 400m away, so must be able to carry luggage across cobblestoned streets, then up a flight of stairs to hotel (no concierge at entrance).
- Plesant staff; gave a good recommendation for dinner
- Found out about luggage transfer back down to ferry 15 Euros per bag, very $$$ when bags were left UNATTENDED down at ferry wharf.

Check in through check out is marvelous. Nice accomodations, and friendly staff in a great location, not far from the Funiculare lift. The downsides at this property would not prevent me from booking again, but it may be helpful information to others in making their choice: weak internet WiFi service, uncomfortable bedding pillows, and an air conditioner that struggles to keep the room from reaching 78F.

Walls were way too thin. Heard everything and everyone every single morning. The queen bed was two single beds pushed together. Front desk was comepletely useless. Asked them if I could get a taxi to go to Anacapri and just said “no”.. No further help or information. It’s like I felt bad for having to ask him the question. Each time I walked back to the hotel they looked at me as if I didn’t belong there. I asked a second question and the other front desk operator just asked if I was staying there. Location of the hotel is great but the staff is terrible besides maybe one man I spoke with who was actually upbeat and tried to help. For the price you’re better off staying somewhere else. Regretted staying two nights as it just didn’t feel worthwhile. We came from staying two nights in Positano. Clearly the Positano hotel was similar in hotel amentities but the staff was beyond years ahead of this one. I don’t write reviews but this is the first time I’ve felt such negativity in s hospitality environment.

Right in the middle of shopping area, but quiet and serene space above the crowds. Amazing blackout shutters. Balcony was small but good view of the sea. Staff very helpful and courteous. Only complaint is that for ~EUR500 a night one might expect the bathroom and floor tiles to be updated. But it was peak season in Capri and we booked only 2 mos prior.

Hotel location is excellent. Room was clean. However we had no control of the temperature in the rooms and when we asked, they said they control it. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything from your room. One night I couldn’t sleep because of the noise. The staff was courteous and arranged transportation and porter service for us quickly.

Great friendly staff. Both concierges were amazing and helpful. Rooms are quaint with italian tile and decor typical of the culture. Buffet breakfast was wonderful. The best Best Western I have ever stayed out. Hoping to go back there again. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Capri.

Great location with the classic traditional Italian style. if you want a modern hotel this is not the place for you. Amazing breakfast, one of the best I've had, very accomdating to all dietary needs. The only negative is that it lacks the inviting charm of some hotels that keeps you coming back for more. We felt the concerege during the day was a little cold and made you feel like another number. Where the man on the desk at night and the waiting staff during the day was fantastic.

Very comfortable hotel that was right in the middle of town. We could walk everywhere. The rooms were comfortable & clean and we had an amazing view of the ocean from our terrace. Very nice pool with a quiet area to eat or relax under the lemon trees. Was very quiet at night even though we were right in the middle of everything...shops, restaurants and the busy walkway! Would definitely stay here again! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our needs...ferry tickets, luggage, etc...
