Brilliant Hotel! Thank you!

My partner and I stayed her for a week in July. This was possibly the best hotel we have ever been too! The view from the hotel is beautiful and Vaggelis and his entire family are the perfect hosts. The hotel is lovely and quiet and super clean too and its also very close to the bus stop so super easy to get around.

Owner Vaggelis is a very enthusiastic and helpful person. He is familiar with all the attractions and delicious and inexpensive restaurants on the island. Whether it is renting a car or local tourist activities, he is happy to help you get the best price. The hotel environment is quiet and elegant. It is one of the best hotels for watching the sunrise. The only thing that needs improvement is that the Wi-Fi 📶 is a little weak in the room, and we need to go out or get close to the office to connect to the Internet.

Beautiful property in a fairly remote location but the towns are still easily accessible by transport. The host and staff were amazing. Nothing is too much! Great communication and Airport transfer was arranged before my holiday, greeted with a smile, a drink and excellent customer service. Filled with lots of knowledge about the area and best places to visit. Room was a nice size with all amenities and over looked the pool, such a gorgeous view! The room was cleaned everyday and spotless. Breakfast options are plenty and delicious. The host gave us so many recommendations and helped organise our trips and transport. Can’t thank him enough for a fabulous, comfortable stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Santorini, stay here!!!

Our trip to Santorini

Vaggelis is an absolute superstar, he was very friendly and helpful. He gave us fantastic recommendations for visiting sites, and he also assisted us with renting a car and booking a trip on the catamarans in no time.

The room is small, and so is the bathroom, but it was clean. The breakfast was below par in comparison to the other hotels that we visited on the trip.
The bed was not the most comfortable, as I am 1.87m, and the wooden base at the end of the bed hurt when one's feet hung over.

I would still recommend them as they offer good value for money.

We had a wonderful 4 day-stay at Agia Iniri from 15-19 Sep 2022.
The accommodation is lovely and the environment is serene and with a beautiful view of sunrise from our room balcony (unblocked view!). Nice pool & spacious parking space unlike places at Oia or Fira. The owner Mr Vaggelis is simply the most hospitable host you should get to meet during your stay. We were a little clueless with what we can do and see at Santorini and Mr Vaggelis was so helpful to plan the itineraries for each day of our stay. On our second last day of the stay, we were supposed to go on a volcano island cruise & the weather that morning was so bad that the boat trip had to be cancelled. He had saved our holiday by communicating with the tour agency to rebook another trip for the next day. So instead of cancelling the trip & got our refund, we managed to board the boat the next day & we had a very enjoyable cruise of the volcano and the surrounding island. Thanks Mr Vaggelis!

Vaggelis and his family are the very best of hosts; so warm, friendly and helpful in offering recommendations on where to visit in their beloved Santorini. The breakfast they offered was lovely and it was so peaceful enjoying it on our balcony in front of the incredible sea view; the homemade pies and pastries were delicious. The location is stunning and I haven't felt as relaxed as I did by the side of that pool in quite a long time. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily and air conditioned which is very handy. The shower is pretty small so the bathroom can get a bit drowned but dries quickly and is still powerful. Would love to go and stay again!! You would likely need a car as it's quite remote and would need to get out and about to explore - everything very accessible.

Peaceful retreat from the crowds

Really nice family run venue with beautiful sheltered pool area and sea views. The rooms were nice with your own balcony area. Vagellis could not be more helpful whether organizing transport or recommending key spots to visit. The location is a little out of the way but no issue as long as you hire a car or bike. It's only 10 minutes away from the major towns. If you want to be in the thick of things and be able to walk to restaurants and bars then stay in Fira or Oia but if you want to explore the island the Agia Irini is a great base and a peaceful, good value retreat from the masses.
We included breakfast which was really good and plentiful and had lunch and dinner out while looking around. However you can have food delivered if you want to settle by the pool.

The tour guide Milan was an excellent addition to the package as he was always available to give us a ride whenever we wanted whilst also keeping us informed of the local history. Huge thanks to Vaggelis and his lovely parents and family for a wonderful two week holiday at the fabulous Agia Irini.
Vaggelis speaks great English which made communication far easier and he really couldn’t do enough for us... thanking you Vaggelis🙏
Agia Irini is in a fabulously quiet and relaxing location, an immaculately run complex with beautiful pool area.
Our hosts were a very welcoming and friendly family who went the extra mile to make our stay just perfect, for that we are most grateful.
Many thanks also to the wonderfully energetic Milan, who provided us with a really helpful bespoke itinerary should we wish to use it including restaurants, beaches and also local history recommendations.
Milan also provided us with great nutritional and health and well being tips where requested, which again we are very grateful🙏

Relaxing Honeymoon Stay

This was a stay on the beautiful island of Santorini and we loved every minute! Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts (Vaggelis and Milan were particularly kind and gave lots of hints and tips on exploring the island). The hotel is in a quiet area away from all the tourist crowds but in an ideal spot to reach the rest of the island(I would recommend hiring a car). The pool area is lovely, well-equipped and clean. The optional breakfast was a good price and you could sit out on your terrace and eat it. On request we had a view of the pool/sea which was perfect. The room was well-equipped including extra pillows and a fridge. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to the island!

Had a great stay at this hotel. Great quiet location away from all the noise. Right along the edge of the sea with great view. Such a peaceful place. Also the staff was great! If you’re looking for a place to just relax and get away from all the noise/busyness, I would recommend this hotel.
Just note that this location is not in the heart of a busy area, so walking to restaurants and shops from your hotel is not really an option, unless you’re going on a hike. However, they have a great staff that organizes transportation for you at your request with reasonable prices. So you are still able to go out everyday to visit other beautiful places you may want to visit. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel & would stay here again if we visited again.

The perfect place to stay in Santorini

This is the best place to stay on the island. The hotel is really a lovely series of about 12 integrated apartments and sits on the quieter side of the island. That said you have great views looking over the sea and hills but you are less than 10 minutes from the main towns - however you miss out the crazy number of tourists coming off the cruise ships.
The business is family run and you feel like one of them from the moment you arrive. Kind, helpful, chatty, great breakfasts - there's almost nothing they will not try and do for you. The pool area is really nice and you almost feel like you are coming home each day - it's just so relaxing.
They have a great person in Milan who welcomes every guest, talks about the island, finds out what you want to see and gives you perfect recommendations for where to eat, what to see, what trips to take and where to avoid. He is certaintly the best most enthusiastic member of staff we have ever encountered,
We cannot recommend Igia Arini highly enough - the absolute perfect place to stay on this stunning island and such kind staff.

Beautiful location and family owned. Vaggelis and Milan make a great team, and are very helpful. Breakfast is wonderful, they take personal care. Milan is a very good guide, helps you plan your day. He gives very good recommendations on places to visit, restaurants, activities, parking, etc. He was always available through WhatsApp and is very responsive. We highly recommend you use hotel's transportation service to/from the airport or the ferry port. This place is very quiet, has a beautiful sunrise view, and is away from the tourist noise. Vaggelis is very helpful with guest services. Highly recommended to stay here and also follow Milan's recommendations!

There is nothing at fault with this hotel. Miguel who operates the place along with his lovely family will help you with almost anything. Check in is not until 12pm and due to an error online with the check in time they still fixed a room up for us by 9.30am. Milan who assists Miguel with guests can help you with airport transfers, tours , advice and rentals he's amazing. The hotel is in the most stunning area, we got engaged next to the hotel at a small pebble beach whilst watching the sunrise the hotel is best known for the amazing views for the sunset.They also have 2 restaurants near by that will deliver for free you just need to ask for the menus at the hotel reception. We've decided that we will stay here again when we come back the area is quiet and calm. It's a 15 minute drive to Thira and Oia is around 20 minutes it's essential to rent a vehicle of some kind to get around but that rule applies to 80% of Santorini anyway.

Lovely boutique hotel

This hotel is a lovely charming place to spend your days in Santorini. The location is atop a hill overlooking the ocean and the other side is a wonderful view of the mountains. The rooms are simple and a little dated but it is spotlessly clean. The cleaner works very hard every day cleaning all around the property and it really shows. The toilet is very small but adequate and recently renovated. The swimming pool is the property's crowning jewel, it is always clean and overlooks one of the most breathtaking views on the island. If you stay in Oia or Fira, due to lack of space, you would be lucky to have a plunge pool in your hotel the size of a bath tub so to have a large beautiful swimming pool like this is a real treat. The family who own this hotel are so kind and hospitable despite the language barrier, this comes across. The lady even gave us some of her home baked cake one day as a sweet gesture and lent us anything we needed from their kitchen. Milan who is a tour guide and driver for the hotel is very kind and knowledgeable. He gave us great advice about the best places to see and tours to book and he offers good rates for picking up and dropping off which we found was more suitable for us than renting a car or quad bike which some guests did. There are no restautants/shops by walking distance but you can order food at reception from nearby restaurants which we did one night and it came promptly and for a good price. Simply Wow!!!

One word to describe this place: WOW!! Wonderful, calm and peaceful place!! Located 15-20 minutes from everything.

The most amazing thing about this hotel was our hosts!! The owner and his family made this experience one of the best travel experience ever!! And of course, I have to mention « Milan » our driver and tour guide! What a nice guy! He knows everything about the island and gave us the best advice on what to do, where to go, where to eat, etc...you can’t imagine a guy like him exist in the planet! Without him, our vacation there would have been completely different!!

Do I recommend this hotel? I would just say, don’t book anywhere else in Santorini!! Agia Irini is the place to go!!!

Amazing Hospitality

This is the very first review I’ve written about a hotel because it was a truly exceptional experience. I stayed here with my friend as a treat during our backpacking trip, and it was the best decision we’ve made so far! The facilities speak for themselves — the gorgeous pool overlooks the sea, is equipped with several lounge chairs and a few tables in the shade, our room was meticulously cleaned everyday, and the quiet location was perfect. Each and every family member treated us so kindly; we were greeted with the biggest smiles and waves, the son graciously drove me to the supermarket on our first day there when my friend was feeling sick, and walked us through the process of renting an ATV (which I also highly recommend to explore the island).
Milan definitely made our stay worthwhile as well; he sat me down and gave me the most interesting history lesson on Santorini and gave me all his tips on the best local restaurants and spots — none of the typical tourist hotspots! Given that we were in Santorini for four days, he gave us a perfectly tailored plan to follow. We followed his recommendation and went on a boat tour around the island (the BBQ and unlimited wine was great), but I unfortunately forgot my phone on the van on the way back from the tour. Milan immediately contacted the company and went as far as to go pick it up for me, which I was incredibly touched by.

3 nights in Santorini

Stayed in Agia Irini for 3 nights; right from the airport pickup to the final drop, the services were spot on. Vaggelis who owns and manages this place (along with his parents) does a great job in ensuring that all guests receive his attention and hospitality service.

The sea facing resort has close to nine rooms (with two rooms being apartments to accommodate a whole family), breakfast is average with the standard fare of bread, cheese, jam, butter, eggs, juice and coffee.

Full marks to the resort for hiring Milan who partners towards client servicing besides doubling up as a tour guide. His services were impeccable especially giving a half hr intro to the island and explaining what could be covered over our stay. The food recommendations for lunch and dinner also worked for us.

The resort is located in Inveriogli (lower) which is around 4kms from the main village of Fira and 8kms from Oeia (famous for sunset); so mandates for transfer arrangements to be in place if not by renting self drives (bikes, ATVs and cars).

All in all, a good place to stay away from the din and giving the much needed quite after a day of activity. Definitely a worth stay.

Great place to stay, ideal if you want to go to the touristy areas and then go back some where quiet to sleep.

Breakfast is mini croissants, pound cake, boiled egg, coffee and orange juice. The rooms are clean and cleaned every day.

Milan is entertaining and fantastic at organising your trips.

NB. The pools in the main tourist areas are Jacuzzi size whereas the pool at Agri Irini was a nice size.

FANSTASTIC VIEW, HELPFUL HOST

I booked a 3d2n stay at Agia Irini. Two days before I arrived, the hotel
management emailed me saying that there's no available room. I freaked out and I was sad at the same time. The room I booked was on promo and ia not refundable. But, Vaggelis, the hotel manager helped me calm down and told me many times that he'll make sure I get a place to stay when I arrived in santorini. He invited me to meet at the hotel reception. Once I arrived, we talked through it and went through some options. He got me a stay at Villa Stella which I didnt really like because as a journalist and photo enthusiast, I wanted to stay at a greek style white-blue hotel. But vaggelis was so kind, he sent us to our temporary stay and picked us up the next day. Finally I got my room at agia irini. the hotel was fantastic. view of aegean sea was splendid. The good thing about the villa is, it's quiet and private. The downside is, it's far from Fira and taxi drivers are charging €15 per trip which is crazy! (€15 is a cost of a volcano trip on a sailing boat!). however, i believe Vaggelis is aware of that problem and he's too kind to offer us a ride to Fira town free of charge! Vaggelis was helpful throughout our stay. Definitely will stay here again!

Perfect place to stay!

This is a gorgeous place. Its family run and they go out of their way to help you, to tell you about the island and book anything you need. Much more than a regular hotel does. The rooms are very well furnished and well cleaned every day. They each have a huge balcony with an amazing view! The pool over looks the sea and is lovely to sit by and swim in. The location is quite remote which we were worried about at first, however it turned out to be perfect as it is quiet and relaxing. They have drivers to take you wherever you need to go and if you hire a car, scooter or quad (which most people do anyway as not everywhere on the island is serviced by buses) then you are free and getting back to somewhere so peaceful at the end of the day is lovely. This makes it cheaper than many other places on Santorini so the value for money is excellent. They do a delicious breakfast for 5euros, and will order food from local restaurants for you for lunch or dinner. There is also a fridge in the room to put food in. We had such a great time here and were sad to leave - a highly recommended place with wonderful people!

It's a small and cheap hotel which does not face the caldera but the service is the best I have ever encountered.

They have a tour guide that helps around the hotel and can offer tours at very reasonable or just help out in other ways. He is a very genuine guy and offers advice even if you don't hire him for a tour.

The BEST place to stay in all of Santorini!!!!

Spending 2 weeks in Santorini and Folegandros, my new wife and I stayed in several different places. Agia Irini was BY FAR my favorite. We were dropped off by a taxi van and greeted at the pool/main entrance by an elderly man. I quickly learned this is a family-ran hotel. The man refused to let us carry our own luggage and took us straight to our room. We were greeted by a friend of the owner who made our stay the best ever. He was a Serbian fellow named Milan. He told us all the things we needed to know about Santorini and even hooked us up with the most amazing boat tour ever. We met the owner and another couple of ladies that work this hotel. Every single person here is super nice!!!! Don't speak Greek? That is ok, as the owner speaks good English and so does his tour-guide friend. The facilities are nice. This place is a little remote, which is great. Right next to the sea side of the island. Beautiful sunrises every morning. For the price, you can't beat this place. Rent a quad, scooter, or car (in Imerovigli) and stay at this place and you will never regret it! The neighbors even let us take some wedding photos at the little church next door. Every part of our stay here was awesome.

Friendly quiet hotel

The owners were very helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great stay with them. From emails before we arrived giving directions to find them and confirming that they could accommodate a celliac diet, to their helpful suggestions for places to visit once we got there.
The room was clean and tidy on arrival and cleaned daily thereafter. The pool was a bonus for us, allowing a cooling dip after a hot day sight seeing! The air conditioning in the room was a god send, given the hot temperatures even overnight.
The hotel was a great base from which to explore Santorini and although it was a little off the beaten track, it suited us better than the hustle and bustle of any of the towns. It made a fantastic honeymoon on Santorini even better thanks to their dedicated approach to ensuring we had a happy stay.

Warm welcome from a friendly family run business. Rooms have basic comforts (which is typical of a Greek holiday) all clean and tidy. Situated on the quieter side of the island but you'll need a scooter/quad (18 euros p/d) to tour around wherever you stay so it's perfectly fine. Kamari beach is lovely. Oia sunset is stunning. Seafood is delicious. Loved it.

My partner and I have just come back from a four day holiday in Santorini. It was the second time we visited the island and this time we decided to stay in Agia Irini. The main reason for our choice was the small number of rooms these hotel has, which makes the service completely personal and very attentive. Yes, it might be a bit far from Thira, the capital (a taxi will take you to Thira in less than 10 minutes and the cost is around 10Euros) but if you are prepared to but that aside you'll be hugely awarded: the views that surround the property are second to none, the staff are very friendly and helpful and breakfast is very good.

The rooms are clean and most importantly the mattresses are high quality...

Overall, it's a beautiful property in a secluded location in a traditional Greek village. After discovering the island the best thing is to be able to relax and these studios are just the ticket for it!!!

ONLY TAKE THIS HOTEL AS LAST RESORT

Although the son was lovely but this place is in middle of nowhere..out in the bush..even though they offer to pick you up or take you to where you want to go but seriously how can you communicate with his folks who dont speak a word of English and rooms..dont even go there. No hair dryer, had to make my own bed with sheet left there for me to do the bed. Turn on water smelt like sewarage even toilet paper cant be flushed. Being woken up by chickens and donkey and breakfast...not nice or substantial..it felt like I was in a remote part of Santorini and home breakfast nothing special..find something else..there isnt 1 restaurant or anything close by..bit like a monastery. Pics are deceiving and if you wanna go to the beach you gotta bring your own umbrella..not a holiday at all! Find something lese...Try Rena Suites..best ever in price, right near Fira 10 min walk to everything & best restaurants clubs etc..thats where you wanna be ..not this place..I was so depressed there!

L'endroit, à l'écart de l'agitation de Fira et Oia, est très reposant. De par ses conseils, Vaggelis a rendu notre séjour encore plus remarquable (visites, idées restos, conseils pratiques,...). La piscine, tout comme le petit-déjeuner, permettent de réellement prendre le temps et profiter du cadre. C'est une belle adresse que je recommande.

Nous avons passé un séjour Fantastique en amoureux dans cet hôtel familial. Notre chambre était d'une propreté irréprochable, le ménage était fait tous les jours, le petit déjeuner était très bon et copieux, (les gâteaux de la maman du propriétaire, un vrai délice !) Nous avons également bien profité de la piscine. Coin calme et éloigné du centre. Possibilité de louer un quad via l'hôtel. A notre arrivée, petit verre de bienvenu, et le propriétaire, Vaggelis, très sympathique et accueillant nous a préparé un programme des villes à visiter, des meilleurs endroits pour admirer le coucher de soleil, des randonnées à faire, des restaurants...Tout était parfait !

Fantastique avec du calme autour de l'hôtel. Vaggelis le propriétaire est super accueillant et sa famille très sympa. Superbe couché de soleil et levé le matin.
