\"We had a wonderful stay at Xenones Filotera and would definitely recommend it. We stayed in a Honeymoon Room, which had plenty of private outdoor space for two sun loungers and a table with chairs, along with that incredible view.

The rooms themselves are well-equipped and comfortable. While the fixtures and fittings are showing their age, this didn't affect our stay. The breakfast was good: a buffet style with plenty of options, available until 11:00 AM.

The staff were always welcoming and friendly. The hotel is in a great location to explore all the island has to offer, however we highly recommend hiring a car, especially if your staying more than 3 nights.

Santorini is stunning but often oversaturated with tourism. If you want to stay away from the crowds and relax, this is the perfect place for you.\"

Excellent staff who go above and beyond and they really made our holiday. View stunning but the hotel is located outside of the town so you have to walk up a steep hill or get transport to local amenities. Room a little tire. Unable to get food for 2 nights a week due to staff days off and was a limited snack style menu which was dissapointing especially due to the location.

This stay was amazing from when you check in to check out. The staff is great at helping setup taxis when needed. A car is definitely needed to explore but I feel that is anywhere on the island to make the best of your stay. The views around this hotel were insanely beautiful.

Good location. Limited breakfast. Less amenities than surrounding hotels (like afternoon tea or treat, bed time chocolates, etc), but we’re always available 24/7. Did a great job arranging taxis. Great pool and views. Bar and food service very nice. We sat by the pool and got several delicious smoothies at good prices. Rooms were wonderful and spacious and cooled down nicely. Would stay again.

The staff tried their best, most of them were nice but for the price I paid, I didn’t expect to see ants in my bed and have a problem finding space to park my car every time I had to move.
Didn’t use the swimming pool because of restricted hours. The gym was so small, not tempting at all. Sauna should be turned on every time you decide to use it. Spa services are on demand only because the service is provided by a third party. So I wonder how they got their 5 stars. Breakfast is the same every single day. They even have it delivered every morning by a food supplier. The photos on Expedia are very misleading: you think you have access to the beach with the photos of umbrellas on the sand, but these are pictures of beaches that are a 30 minute drive away from the hotel. Anyways, as I said, the staff tried their best to make our stay comfortable and pleasant, however the whole experience wasn’t worth the price paid. Many other hotels in the region offer better for the same price.

The only downfall is their kitchen was hardly open and the selection was very minimal.
You could do takeout, but the food wasn’t very good where we ordered from.
The nearest grocery store was a 20 minute walk, which we were grateful or we would’ve starved.

Amazing Location with the View and comfort.

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding in Santorini. Everyone there kind and caring about our needs. Christina and Bill at reception desk were so helpful. Alex the bartender amazing! And Juliano at Breakfast was fastastic. Breakfast included 8-11 daily and bar with food to order 3-11 evening. Air conditioning was tricky but we got it figured out. The bridal suite is superb! The rooms for 2 have cute hot tubs on patios facing the water views. The rooms for 3 were spacious and adorable. It was smack in the middle of the Oia and Fira hiking path which was perfect! You won’t believe the view from here until you see it.

The hotel is on a quiet row with a handful of other hotels with faboulous views of the caldera and sunset. It's peace and relaxed and a perfect base for visiting Thera and Oia. We stayed in a room facinging the caldara with a jetted hot tub and it was hard not to stay there every evening!

The only minor fault I would say could be improved on was the shower. Very tired and needed a refurbishment. Not what you would expect considering the overall standard of the property

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful sunsets from the gorgeous pool area. Sunrise from the courtyard in front of reception. George and Dino were at the bar and were servers from the restaurant. The Sea Bass was delicious while watching the sunset. The front desk staff were outstanding in helping resolve an interruption in my trip caused by my cruise ship being unable to dock. They helped so much in modifying my stay. I am very grateful. I highly recommend this beautiful property. Thank you!

The personal hot tub was a nice touch, as well as the patio and bistro table where we enjoyed the view with a few glasses of complimentary wine. The view is incredible on both sides for sunset and sunrise. The staff were great particularly Maria, Panos, the 2 breakfast staff and the 3 afternoon/evening bar staff - they were very engaging and helpful, and Maria had excellent recommendations. The welcome wine and fruit were a really nice touch.
There could be more sunbeds with shade ie umbrellas with better coverage.

The staff went above and beyond to cater to our every need. Our shuttle left early before breakfast and they made us all breakfast boxes on the day we left. Panos was the most gracious host. He made restaurant reservations and car reservations

The view was amazing and perfect for the sunset. It is a few miles outside of Oia so the we did not have the craziness of the crowds. Highly recommend.

Quiet getaway..

Xenones is an excellent hotel. It was perfect for sunset views. The walk to Imerovigli was about 30 minutes (uphill). I recommend taking the taxi into town and walking back. The staff was amazing, specially Georgios and the other front desk employee/concierge. They took excellent care of us. Setting up dinner reservations, scheduling taxis, a cruise, and ATV rentals.

Incredible staff and very helpful in deciding what activities to do on the Island. Rooms were very clean, a bit warm, but had a safe, plenty of storage, and the staff gives you several welcome gifts if it is your Honeymoon. We had a private hot tub on our patio and it made all the difference. Room service was quick and easy and the food was a great option to have when we didn't want to leave the hotel. Highly recommend anyone going to the island stay here if possible.

Quiet and Relaxing Stay

Xenones Filotera was the perfect place for my husband and I to finish out our honeymoon. Located in a more quiet part of the island between Oia and Fira, we found it to be the the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The service at the hotel was fantastic, and they took care of every detail for us. We absolutely would stay at Filotera again if we come back to Santorini.

Great place to stay.

The hotel is located just a short 15 minute uphill walk north of the town of Imerovigli. The service was amazing and they helped us planning thnigs to do and renting transportation. The patio view of the Mediterranean is breathtaking and the breakfast was very good.

It is a beautiful boutique hotel situated between Oia and Fira. It is a great location for sunset (or sunrise) views, you are able to see all sides of the island from here. Only a little hard to see the volcano, if that's important to you. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. George at the front desk was the most helpful with tours, activities, shopping destinations and timings of when to visit which cities. Christos at the front was very helpful and accommodating to everything we asked. George and Bobbi were excellent, very nice and catering to alls needs. We had a wonderful stay, we had a room on the sunset side with the little jet tub, it was smaller than expected and not very hot, but we definitely enjoyed watching the sunset from there each night! Thank you Thank you Filotera staff!! We highly recommend and will be back!

The staff at the Xenones Filotera is first rate, excellent, and they take care of you like you are family! I can’t rave about them enough! They helped us find the right tours, excursions, and places to eat. They called for our taxi service and made sure we were safely home every night. They used their inside knowledge of the island to get us the best dining and sunset experiences.

The view of the Caldera is breathtaking. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable. It’s an ideal, picturesque location.

Thank you Xenones Filotera for making our Santorini experience magical!

Exceptional service and facilities. I travelled to Santorini with my two daughters for a family holiday and the staff at Xenones Filotera made sure that it was a most relaxing and memorable stay. The location between Thira and Oia was ideal, away from the crowds, however, easy access to everything with a bus stop virtually at the front door. Incredible views of the Aegean Sea on both sides of the resort, fantastic pool and service with a smile. Loved every minute of it!

From beginning to end, we were treated like royalty! Cristos went above and beyond to make sure our trip was exceptional. Cannot more highly recommend. Perfectly situated just out of the way of everything if you would like peace, quiet, and a hotel, without many stairs to access the property. Do plan on some sort of transportation whether it's your own ATV, budget for taxis, or the bus as it's about a 30 min walk uphill to Imerovigli proper. Great views of both Mediterranean and Aegean.

We were beyond impressed by the customer service at this hotel. They were individually attentive to all guests. There was not a single member of staff who crossed or path who didn’t greet us with a smile. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet offered slightly different selection each day, catering to all diets and palettes. The restaurant and bar offered a good selection of food and drinks. The pool and private jacuzzis were cleaned and checked everyday. There were an abundance of towels available poolside. The hotel dropped of new towels daily for the jacuzzi in addition to bathroom towels. The service desk took care of any requests we had. Room service was prompt and efficient. The hotel helped with arranging cars, airport transfers and ATV’s. The property itself is situated on the Caldera side of the island with breathtaking views of the ocean. The area is quiet and away from the busyness of Fira or Oia, ideal for couples. The neighboring towns are easily accessible by car, ATV or local bus. There is a walking trail that is parallel to the hotel which allows you to walk along the cliffs and take in all the views. Amazing hotel with outstanding customer service.

This small quaint resort overlooks the incredible caldera basin with magnificent views. Many people flock to Oiu on the northern tip of Santorini to view the sunsets. However, we thought the sunsets were comparable from our patio.

Hotel staff was excellent, everyone was so nice and accommodating. The location which is in between the capitol and Oia was perfect. No stair climbing, and I think this place has the best sunset views on the island. In my opinion better than the sunset views on Oia. Anything you need whether booking a tour, taxi, car rental, atv rental and restaurant reservations, they can take care of for you. So nice to have peace, quiet and be worry free.

Amazing place with perfect Caldera view

This place was absolutely amazing! We stayed for our honeymoon and it was truly the best decision! Imerovigli is a quiet town between Oía and Fira, which makes it an ideal location for couples! The staff was so friendly and accommodating and they helped book many of our excursions as well as made the best recommendations for lunch and dinner places! Our room was cave like, clean and spacious! Breakfast is offered daily with a variety of foods- all delicious! The drinks are spectacular (we drank Mojitos and their Pornstar special every day!). We also had dinner there a few nights because the food and sunset views were amazing! Would definitely stay here again!

It was a great time; the management team did a great job with everything. They were very helpful and nice. Also, use the bus since they are 99% cheaper than the flat rate of €25 for anywhere you go. You are right in the middle of everything and away from busy places on the island.

What wasn’t to like? The whole experience here was top notch! The staff was amazing. Immediately upon check in, we got a 20 minute presentation from Kostos at the front desk on the Island history, activities, how to get around, and specifics of the hotel. We were welcomed with a sweet treat and a drink. They upgraded our room, and everything about the property was lovely- the view, the pool, the wonderful breakfast, and the size & cleanliness of the rooms. I would absolutely stay here again. The only thing I would recommend for other guests is to know that you can’t drink tap water anywhere on the island, including the hotel. So you’ll need to buy bottled water. And the pool is closed pretty early - so you can’t get in it in the evening when you get back from Fira or elsewhere (it would be great if the hot tub were hot and you could use it in the evening, but this is a small thing). There was also a smell in the room, but I think it was ant spray, and that is better than having ants- again a very small thing in relation to what a wonderful place this is. I highly recommend Filotera!
