We had a wonderful stay at Aghios Artemios Traditional Houses. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Breakfast was very good — fresh, satisfying, and a great way to start the day. A car is essential for exploring the island, but parking at the hotel was hassle-free. The only minor drawback was the tennis court, which stayed damp after evening rain due to limited sun exposure. Overall, a charming and peaceful retreat in Santorini.

This is a beautiful, small hotel on the island. The rooms were spotless and we had a nice view of the ocean and sunrise. The bus to Fira is right in front of the hotel but, is you want to go anywhere else, you have to take a cab. The cabs got to be really expensive.

Located between fira and oia with a great view of the sunrise and ocean. Small staff but everyone was friendly and eager to help. Breakfast buffet was included and delicous. Plenty of options for anyone to find something they like. Greek yogurt and honey was my personal favorite. Recomend renting a car, quad or scooter to get around the island. Reception can arange for rentals and rides to and from airport and ferries port.

The hotel is located about 10 min drive from Fira. It is an amazingly beautiful property and away from the crowded towns giving you peace and privacy. This is the place so far that the pictures don't give justice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mirsini helped me to get a car rental. She communicated well before my arrival and helped with a taxi transfer from the airport. The staff is like family. Would like to come back again. Keep in mind, you will need to rent a car or other modes of transportation offered in the island as the hotel isn't walkable distance from Fira.

The staff there were so nice and helpful. The owner of the property provided us with a historical background about the property upon our arrival. She explained to us how the property is 600 years old and how they turned this property 17 years into a hotel If you are looking for an authentic Santorini place to stay with welcoming and friendly staff this is your place to stay. I do not regret having stayed at this beautiful property. Do get a rent a car. Getting around without one can be challenging, but the hotel does inform you about this in an e-mail as soon as you book. There is nothing nearby and they do have parking on site.
The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Thankfully the breakfast was European style. I am glad that they did not adjust to tourists and provide guests with the typical American breakfast. I can have that at home. The only thing was that the coffee and eggs were always cold, no matter what time we ate breakfast. That would be my one and only complaint. They also have a restaurant that offers Greek cuisine. The food there was amazing too.
While staying at the hotel we also did a flying dress photoshoot, since the property does have a church with a blue dome. However, the blue color of the dome is light blue, which we will photoshop. We talked to the owner about this, and she said they will paint the church dome dark blue to make this property even more precious and a great site to take pictures.

What a wonderful place to stay! It's located on the peaceful eastern side of the island in a 600 year-old church. Perfect for seeing the sunrise or talking a half mile walk/run to the beach in the morning. The reception and owner were extremely kind and we really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. They actually reached out to us before we arrived to help arrange transport from the airport and one time, the owner offered to drive us herself to Fira. Location-wise it can be tough since it isn't located in the main cities. As a couple of college students, we couldn't really afford to rent a car or use taxis (maybe used a taxi once in 4 days), but managed to figure out the public bus system which actually has a bus stop right outside the hotel! The rooms are spacious, very private, and honestly it was one of most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The air-conditioning worked well and the hotel makes sure to keep your refrigerator stocked with water which is very nice. Amazing stay!

The hotel was quiet and situated away from the busy tourist locations of Fira, imerovigli and Oia. All of these were easily accessible via taxi though. The only downside to this was the surrounding area was very limited, so the nearest shop was 20-25 min walk away. The hotel and rooms were very traditional and looked great. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive to anything we needed. The food at the restaurant was fantastic, serving authentic Greek dishes. Overall our stay was excellent and was well worth the price, especially when compared to the more expensive options in the busier locations on the island.

I had the best travel experience in Europe by staying at Artemios and Yvonne’s Hotel. Their place is very quiet and beautiful with a private blue-done Church. They started sharing all-need-to-know information even before my trip to Santorini. Their information is so practical and saved me much time to explore the area. Ask Artemios for his secret spot to watch sunset. You would love lit ;).

It’s very sweet for them to invite me join lunch with their friends when they know I am a solo traveler. I felt so homey and safe in Santorini.

They have wonderful friends, developing from their guests to frequent visitors. I wonder who will not love them, their place and their hospitality.

Will definitely stay again when I am back to Santorini. Thank you, Artemios and Yvonne.

The location was so peaceful and quite.

Our flight out of Santorini was @ 11:45 pm. We were not only allowed to store our luggage but could also go back and freshen up before our flight.
Everyone and everything about the place is perfect.

It is a beautiful hotel! It has traditional vaulted rooms and a 600-year old Blue dome roof private church. Love the serenity and special ambience there as it is tucked away uphill from the busy touristic areas. I could really relax there! It is also not far from the village - e.g. it is only 5 minutes drive to Fira. The food is good. The staff are wonderful. Special thanks to Jetta (I hope I spelled your name right:)!), the lady who took care of us during our stay. Learnt that both my sis and I don't drive, the owner of the hotel gave us lifts to the village multiple times and the airport too. He also gave us suggestions about nice places to visit. Very kind of him. Last but not the least, there are 3 lovely dogs and 8 cats in the compound. I enjoyed having them around. It felt like home:)!

I would definitely recommend the hotel to others visiting Santorini. Hiring a car will be the best option to go to explore the beautiful island.

Beautiful Traditional Home Hotel

We arrived here on Greek Easter Sunday. This hotel is family owned and they were celebrating Easter. they were happy to welcome us in the midst of their celebration and in fact even invited us to join them. We freshened up and decided to join them. They served us the freshest of salads, lamb, fries, wine and fruits....all complimentary. Mr Artemios is a great help in suggesting 'things to do' in Santorini with interesting tips that you may not find anywhere. We wanted to live in a traditional house in Greece and this hotel more than met our expectations.

Our first stay in Santorini

We stopped in a junior suite at the Aghios Artemios traditional houses on our first visit to Santorini and were literally blown away by how beautiful this place is . Artemios and his family/staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble . They sorted us out with scooter hire which was very reasonable. It is very beneficial to hire transport at this resort as it is very quiet and remote( this is what makes it so fantastic ). The pool was the cleanest we have ever experienced at any resort with a view to die for . The cave suite we stopped in was one of the nicest places we've ever stopped in in Greece . The food offered was fantastic and very good value for money and if you requested something a bit different they were only too happy to oblige. The whole place had an air of calm about it which made it a lovely place to relax and read . It is well worth getting up just before 6 to see the sunrise as it is stunning to say the least . From what we saw of the other hotels/resorts I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be revisiting in the not too distant future .

Absolutely gorgeous to look at but secluded.

Beautiful hotel with a very \"Santorini\" look. Beautiful white exteriors with blue domes, blue doors, and pink flowers. There is a tennis court, pool, breakfast, food and drink options. The owner is very hands-on and welcomed us in. He called for a 4 wheeler rental person to come to the hotel to drop off a 4 wheeler for us (about 65 euros after insurance). We later found out that the price was a little more pricey than in town but it was convenient to have it brought to us.

PLEASE NOTE: there is no wifi in the rooms. If you are attached to the internet, this is not the place for you. Internet and cell service is very shotty there but if you a honeymooner or a family, I could not recommend this more.

This was a wonderfully charming experience. The clean, nicely furnished rooms are set in caves, dotted around a courtyard. Beautifully lit at night. There's a pool (cold), tennis court, table tennis, even a small gym. The chapel is 600 years old, and they've done weddings too. The owners are well-traveled, hugely accommodating and sociable. We were invited to their Easter lunch, which lasted much of the day, where we met their friends on the island and other guests. The lamb had been roasting nearby all morning. Stay here if you want an authentic Greek experience and to make new friends - Santorini was the highlight of our 2-week trip.

A massive massive massive thank you to staff members, Jim, Eelia, George and Ilyati who went beyond for our stay. I actually hve no words to describe their hospitality. So genuine. Lovely location, so remote and easy access to other places. Food was so fresh and tasty. Room service, cleaning couldve been more often and mattress was a little stiff, but I'd still give it 10/10. Owner really nice too. Thank you and well done staff!!!

We had an amazing stay. Breakfast buffet every morning and if you aren't bothered to go out for lunch or breakfast they were more than happy to whip a meal up for us. We made us of all the facilities - pool, gym and even table tennis. We arrived very late at night and organised an airport transfer.
Any time we needed anything - Chris was always there to help us!!

Wonderful Hideaway Away From the Crowds

My husband and I planned a 4 day getaway to Santorini—he hadn't been back in 30 years and I'd never been. Aghios Artemois was the perfect \"home base\" for us—a beautiful, historic structure renovated with love and well located away the overbearing summer crowds.

The owner and staff are AMAZING, making you feel welcome and providing island insights and secrets to help you plan a wonderful, personalized stay.

Although we choose to venture out to see the island, we could have just has happily spent our 4 days at the hotel enjoying the environment, pool and incredible local food.

Amazing! Favorite stay in Santorini

Everything about this place is amazing! Went here for our honeymoon and this was our favorite part of our trip. The views, the spacious rooms, robes, tennis courts, service...Artemis is super nice and helpful. Got great recommendations for walking trail from Fira to Imergovli.

You'll need a car (it's safer than an ATV and can take those road curves) if you want to go to Fira, Oia or other places.

Picturesque 'Village'

Gorgeous place to stay! Absolutely picturesque, spotlessly clean, peaceful and very friendly.
We arrived at the hotel knowing very little about the place and the area, and the one thing people need to know is that you really need a mode of transport if you want to get to local towns, restaurants, beaches etc as Aghios Artemios really is in the middle of nowhere!
Definitely the prettiest accommodation I have stayed at, and perfect if you prefer a smaller, quieter place.

Honeymoon stay was ok

We Stayed in the honeymoon suite and wish the outdoors and the suite would have been nicer- right in front of us there was an empty umbrella stand ( no umbrella) , one outdoor chair ( we're two!!) and facing the door were dead plants - not landscaped . This was disappointing for our honeymoon. The service however was impeccable - especially from Christos.

This was the most perfect place to stay on Santorini for peace and quiet. Out the way of the towns crowds with beautiful surroundings. Staff are extremely friendly, very kind and thoughtful. It was home from home. Artemios is a true gentleman, very wise and helped us way beyond our expectations, driving us into town daily and suggesting things for us to do and places to go. We will defiantly be returning!! It was just what perfect!

Quiet and welcoming

We had a very enjoyable stay. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Wi fi was accessible in communal areas and the swimming pool was idilic . The only disadvantage was the lack of Air conditioning in the standard room. We hired a quad bike for the duration of our stay as the hotel is situated away from the main town, which was a bonus for us. We would return again in the future but upgrade to a room with air con.

Wonderful wonderful hotel !!!!

Very pretty and super service !!! Only disvantage is you need to rent a car, but this disadvantage become out advantage, because we get to see entire island in Santorini ! And hotel cost we saved to rent a car is still much cheaper !!!! We love this hotel and Santorini !!!

Welcoming, Beautiful, Warm People, Incredible!

My husband and I traveled here on our honeymoon. We fell in love with this place, the staff (shout out to Pericles and Anna in the kitchen and Giannis!), and of course Artemios himself. We were only there a week and yet I am homesick to return!

Artemios picked us up from town because we were lost, and was so kind and welcoming from the first minute. He gave us fantastic recommendations and taught us about Greek culture and life throughout our visit. He is a sincere, generous, and incredible man. He treated us like we were family, and the hotel felt like home.

Even if the staff hadn't been wonderful, which they were, the place really spoke for itself. The grounds are immaculate. The pictures online do not lie--it is as stunning at sunset as it looks. Also the amenities are unmatched by any place I saw in Greece: pool, gym, tennis and basketball courts, even a picturesque little church in the center. Artemios upgraded us (for free, and without pretense) to the honeymoon suite, which was literally a white washed cave in the cliff-side. It was private, quiet, huge, and so clean. We called it \"the love cave.\" There are also sweet little kitties and two dogs who live on the grounds--they'll totally respect your space or play with you if you are nice to them.

Ordinarily I am a rather cynical person, so you can imagine how great this place must be if it turns me into such a gushing fool.

A lovely hotel with glorious sea views but nowhere in walking distance. The owners were very kind and helped me out with lifts as I had not bought my driving licence. Taxi from Thira 12 Euros. Breakfast was fine and evening meals very tasty but no choice, understandable as numbers dining were small. Excellent wines.

Fantastic holiday. Truly Greek!

Our husband and I and three sons just came back from a wonderful weeks stay with Artemios. His hospitality is generous and the whole atmosphere is wonderful. It's quite and relaxing, but also not far from the main town- about 7 minutes by car. The pool is lovely and you really feel like your staying with a small Greek family. Nothing is too much trouble. There is a wonderful cook there who makes excellent food and the breakfast is great. We will be going back to this gem of a place very soon! Highly recommended. Melanie Marshall

Super receptivos. O café da manhã não é tão amplo, mas serve bem. Sobre a localização, depende de como você estiver, se estiver a pé, as coisas são um pouco longe e você vai precisar caminhar por pelo menos 1 hora. O ideal é estar com carro/moto/quadriciclo. A maioria dos outros hotéis que fiquei na Grécia não cobravam pela água que fica nos quartos, mas esse cobrava, salvo engano 3€. Mas você tem opção de comprar a sua própria. No geral é um hotel muito bom. A sua estrutura é linda, o quarto é limpo, a área de piscina com o bar é uma graça. Recomendo!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit an diesem wunderschönen und fast schon magischen Ort! Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich herzlich, freundlich und hilfsbereit, man merkt einfach, dass hier mit Liebe gearbeitet wird.

Das Frühstück war gut und es gab alles, was wir gebraucht haben, ein schöner Start in den Tag.

Auch die Sauberkeit im gesamten Hotel war top! Alles war sehr gepflegt und ordentlich, was das Wohlfühlen noch leichter gemacht hat.

Was wir besonders geschätzt haben, war die Ruhe und Entspannung, die dieser Ort ausstrahlt. Trotz der angenehmen Abgeschiedenheit ist direkt vor dem Hotel eine Bushaltestelle, von dort kommt man ganz unkompliziert nach Fira und von dort aus weiter nach Oia, zum Flughafen oder an andere Orte der Insel.

Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder, ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Abschalten!

El alojamiento es precioso, la señora que lo lleva fatal, me dieron una habitación que no es lo que pone en la web, y como llevaba dos niñas me cobró un plus por cada niña, decía que se cobraba por personas cuando encima que había contratado 4 plazas y solo habia 3 en la casa. Y casi tenemos que dormir en el suelo. No tenía problema en pagar un extra pero si me daban un servicio no en malas condiciones. Además cuando les dije que no estaba de acuerdo encima se burlaban sarcásticas hablando entre ellas . Trato pésimo

Dalla struttura bellissima e in pieno stile Santorini, la posizione strategica per visitare tutta l’isola (abbiamo noleggiato lo scooter che ci hanno consegnato direttamente al nostro arrivo in hotel che si è confermato essere l’unico mezzo per girare senza problemi di parcheggio) lontana però dal caos e dalle resse, e i proprietari (fantastici) con lo staff accogliente, gentile e accorto .. 4 giorni resi perfetti proprio da Aghios artemios!! ❤️

Magnífico local. Não é propriamente um hotel, mais turismo rural, mas também por isso a estadia foi memorável. Quartos em estilo de gruta, muito branquinhos, extremamente limpos e bem decorados. É um daqueles sítios para recordar para sempre. Foi um privilégio usufruir de um local assim.

Location meravigliosa, proprietari altrettanto, sembra di essere accolti in famiglia. L'unica cosa che forse dovrebbe essere piu' chiara e' che e' un posto un po' sperduto ( non proprio Imerovigli, ma Vorvoulos) e quindi bisogna calcolare di avere almeno un motorino o un'auto a noleggio per potersi muovere agevolmente.

Un lieu paisible

Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour. L’établissement est typique, construit autour de l’église. Les hôtes sont plus que charmants, adorables et aux petits soins pour leurs clients. Propreté irréprochable, petit déjeuner excellent et fait maison. Nous séjournerons ici pour notre prochain séjour à santorin sans hésitation.

Super hôtel.

Un petit bien surprenant dans la pure tradition grecque, avec son église privée. On a l’impression dans un village.
La gentillesse, la disponibilité et la discrétion du personnel ainsi que de la la direction nous ont fait passer un excellent séjour. Nous les remercions vivement et nous recommandons leur hôtel tel.

What to say about Aghios Artemios. The Hotel itself is really beautiful, it makes you feel in Greece. But wat makes it even more special in my opinion, is that all hotel personel is so incredibly nice, always there to help you with whatever you might need: advice to go around in the island, scooter renting, transportation to the airport, tours...
I recommed 100% to stay in Aghios Artemios Traitional Houses, you wont be dissapointed.

Le bonheur est ici !

100% satisfaits : cadre magnifique, demeure atypique (sorte de trogglodyte) personnel à l'écoute et très serviable, conseils d'excursions très pertinents par le responsable Mr Artemios, un vrai père pour nous qui veille à notre bien-être, restauration au top (la moussaka, la meilleure de Santorin). Bref que du BONHEUR!!! Merci mille fois Mr Artemios pour ce beau séjour, nous reviendrons... :)

Mi aspettavo di più da questa struttura

Posizione davvero ottima, si trova a metà strada tra Oía e Fira raggiungibili rispettivamente in 15minuti e 10 minuti.
Personale cordiale e simpatico.
Piscina bella però piccola.
Colazione buona ma nulla di eccezionale.
Pulizia della camera e cambio biancheria sono a mio parere il punto critico di questa struttura.

Hotel war was besonderes, Lage, Ausstattung und Service waren
gut bis sehr gut. Die Hotelanlage liegt sehr sonnig an der Ostküste der Insel,sehr gemütlich die Außenanlagen mit kleinem Pool.Zimmer mit einfacher Austattung, sehr gute Betten, leider nur griechische Fernsehprogramme. Griechische Gastfreundschaft von Gastgeber Herrn Artemios bis zum Zimmermädchen. Würden diese Unterkunft wieder buchen.

C'est le plus bel endroit qu'on a vu sur l'île, de la piscine on peut relaxer avec un goûter en regardant une des plus belle vue de la mer. Même si ce n'est pas à proximité des villages. Ils y a des chats et des chiens qui sont très amicaux, le personnel est sensationnel et le propriétaire \"Artemios\" a été d'une très grande gentillesse, car il veut que ses visiteurs se sentent bien. Nous recommandons fortement, surtout si vous voulez relaxer à très bon prix, parce que même si vous payez un peu plus pour la chambre, la nourriture et l'alcool est à très bon prix.

Un’oasi di tranquillità a pochi km da Fira e Oia

La struttura, con la sua chiesetta e le camere ricavate nella montagna, è veramente graziosa. L’ospitalita di tutto il personale e del proprietario ti fanno sentire a casa. Posto in cui rilassarsi e godersi il panorama.
