It's a nice country style unit. It's a little remote from Fira, and definitely need a car to get around, or just grab taxi service. It's on the bus route that can take you to Oia. Just have to walk to the public bus stop just north of the roadside market. There's plenty of hot water, but the cold water comes and goes, could be the pressure. You can make an order for breakfast for the next morning, which is nice.

The location is remote from the busy city area. It's on the bus route to and from Oia to Fira, but you have to walk over to Cerrefour market for the public bus stop that comes by every hour. Breakfast option is nice and made available upon request.

Nice, clean property. Delicious breakfast. However if you’re relying on the bus system it’s not the most ideal location. Hot tub was not super warm. Overall great two bedroom for family. Toys for the kids. Friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at Athiri for the 2 nights we stayed in Santorini. The views were amazing as was the breakfast provided each morning. The only downside was getting to and from the property as public transport was limited and the costs for taxis quickly added up but apart from this everything was great!

It was an amazing experience staying at Athiri hitel. Stayed with family and my kids loved it. Greg was an amazing host and helped with organizing local tours as well. Breakfast was amazing with so many choices and delivered to room. Rooms were very nice and location as well.

I will provide an honest and fair review of my mixed experience here.
ACCOMMODATIONS: It is nice however our stay was uncomfortable. The bed had dead bugs with smeared blood and unknown stains. We decided to sleep in the bunkbeds instead because of this. The next day they changed the sheets but this experience was odd since we should have had clean fresh sheets upon arrival.
Day 2 the AC unit was leaking so bad it soaked our clothes. The leaking sound was disruptive so again we slept in the uncomfortable children's bunkbed. The next day they had a technician fix it. The cost and this experience was unacceptable so we requested a partial refund for the partial experience we received at this accommodation and they denied it. They claimed to care about their customers experience but clearly they can not take financial responibility for their shortcomings. Very disappointing.
LOCATION: It is on a busy road that is dangerous especially at night. If you do nor have a car I do not recommend staying here. There are some bus stops but braving the dangerous road isn't worth it at all. There are better accommodations, location and management at other places near by. Very inconvenient.

Fantastic, We stayed in the family room with our children for 2 nights. Staff were welcoming and helpful in every way. Breakfast was amazing as was service. Only suggestion to anyone would be to rent a car. The buses are tough to figure and the cost to rent a car is relatively cheap ( the hotel can also help with this!). Great experience and we would absolutely recommend and return .

Our host Themis truly made this trip one to remember! He went above and beyond with the breakfasts delivered in the morning, made communication easy and was always there if you had a question, and helped hook our excursions! His personality goes above the average “customer service” and we cannot recommend Athiri Santorini enough!

Our view was incredible, and was centrally located from just about everything we needed!

The hotel is a small group of apartments just far enough outside of Imerovigli to be quiet and peaceful, though there is some noise from the road. The Superior room was spacious with living areas, a jacuzzi that was just warm enough (we didn't fiddle with the controls) for our sunset in October. There were limited cooking facilities and simple breakfast components were supplied. The bed was on a mezzanine, accessed by stairs with very limited headroom. We had very limited views of the caldera, but they were lovely - there were also views of the sea to the east and sunrises. A short walk took us to amazing views of the caldera from a quiet path, taking us to Imerovigli in 10 minutes, with good restaurants. We wallked that most days, though we had a car (buses are close by but we had to wait for them). The nearby not-so-touristy Taverna Tasos is wellworth a visit.. The staff were very, very helpful with the room and advice on trips. We took their advice for a Barbarosa sailing tour, which was the highlight of the trip. If we were to go back to the area then I would definitely rebook with the Athiri.

The stay was excellent and Athiri is a great hotel for families. Only around a 20 min walk to Thira it was well located and the views were stunning form the hotel. Kosta was excellent in summarising the island and some great tips on where to go and what to do.

As all other reviews have stated Kostas is wonderful. Very informative and helpful w booking excursions, cars, transfers etc. the location is central but you MUST rent a car nothing is walkable here. Also know this is no frills hotel, very simple breakfast that is in your fridge (bread, cereal and fruit ) it is clean but simple.

I gave a review about this hotel and this is the message I got back , you have to like the place otherwise you are rude and you will be reported in other hotels as bad customer, pathetic!!!!! Please work on customer service before insulting your customers , by the way that’s first time I write a review about a hotel but honestly it was a terrible experience thank god I had rest of my stay in dreams luxury suites which I had an amazing customer service and also I highly recommend, dreams luxury suites is worth every penny!

Kostas was a fantastic host! He knew all of the great places on the entire island and was thorough with everything. The great fresh fruit, wine, fruit juices, and groceries were a great surprise. The hotel owner Kostas was the best part of this stay. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He assisted with all of our enquires and even let us do a super late check out when we had a midnight ferry to catch. Breakfast items were supplied each day so we could make our own breakfast which was nice and different. Location was close to the caldera view walk between Thira and Oia

Clean and spacious aparthotel. It is in a quiet area which I prefer, short walk to imerovigli town with beautiful caldera views. Kostas was very welcoming, gave us detailed information on best parts of Santorini to explore, restaurants to eat, etc. Breakfast could’ve been better, we stayed there for 5 days and we had the same breakfast for 4 days, our last day was just bread, loads of butter, and juice. I had to ask few items like shower gels (doesn’t get refilled) and yoghurt but Kostas always ensures to cater to our needs. Hot tub was good way to relax at the end of the day but we had windy days that we can’t use it...maybe consider putting shield.
Having said all that I highly recommend this aparthotel. And thank you to Kostas for an excellent service!! We really enjoyed our Santorini experience 👍👍👍

First of all, Costa the manager is simply amazing. Attentive to your comfort and needs, he is genuine and an absolute plesure to deal with. Accommodating and family oriented. We stayed here with a 10 month old baby and it was perfect for us. They offered us a play pen for our son to sleep in. Lots of place for our belongings, comfy beds, great showers, free parking, and central to everything. Breakfast items updated daily. Would 100 % recommend.

Great value 3 star apartment hotel

Athiri apartments were a great find for our Fira part of our Santorini stay. The location is just far enough away from the center to be quiet but close enough you can walk to enjoy the evening sunset or a meal in town. A rental car is a good idea for this property. There is plenty of free parking available.

Our superior apartment was spacious, well appointed, clean, with great A/C and wifi. The sunrise from our window was spectacular. What a location !

The owner Kostas is a great island ambassador. He gave us great welcome and summary of the island with tips and ideas. Very appreciated.

Our only concern was the unexpected \"low ceiling\" of the loft in our superior room. Though we appreciate the domed roof style is customary on the island, we just never imagined the ceiling would be that low. Once at the top of the narrow staircase, there is no real head room at the landing and we had to bend down most of the time to avoid hitting our heads, again. Just not something the pictures & descriptions described clearly or we see as a loft height in North America. We know now for next time we visit Greece :) Might not be suitable for people with back problems or with mobility issues.

All in all a great location and value. We will choose a family room downstairs next time. Leave those lofts to the younger travelers :) !

We had a great time at Athiri Santorini. The property and the room are beautiful. We had amazing views of both the sunset above the caldera ( no need to go to Oia to enjoy this) and the sunrise. We did like relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the picturesque view of the caldera. On top of that the rooms were super clean and customer service was the best we have ever had. Kostas took time to sit with us and explain in details what to visit in Santorini, which are the best places to eat and helped us with renting a car to explore the island ( a tip- rent a car- it is definitely worth it to rent for the stay and use as means of transpiration to and from the airport and around the island, it is easy to drive and is only about $50-70 Euro a day depending on the car). Thank you, Kostas and Athiri for the great time we had :)

Good hotel. Prices is reasonable too. However they didn’t quite well responded to an emergency we had. We had kept a wine bottle in the balcony over night and found in the morning it felt n spilled/splashed wine into a wall due to heavy winds n rain over night. It was a genuine mistake I did to take the wine bottle inside. Who knows there’s going to be heavy winds over night. They demanded more than $350 damages to repaint their wall. Which I actually had to pay. Was just curious if that is something they actually had to demand me. I thought they could have covered that from the hotel insurance.

Very spacious and awesome view from our villa. Very quiet and nice sunrise view too. This hotel provided everything we needed. A welcome wine and fruits basket, everyday breakfast and a Jaccuzi with nice and awesome view from our villa. We had a delayed flight and reached the hotel late for check-in and the host Kostas waiting for us patiently. He is so helpful and recommended us the best traditional Greek restaurant not far a way and given us many info and tips about Santorini. We will definitely come back and choose Athiri for the stay again.

We stayed for 5 nights in a superior room. We could not have been happier with our stay at Athiri. Kostas was a pleasure to communicate with and was an amazing host. Our room was exactly as pictured on Expedia and very clean upon arrival and cleaned daily. Our breakfast was replenished daily and more than enough for our family of four. Our room had a view from every window, we saw the sea, the sunrise and sunset. We rented a car for three days which Kostas had delivered to Athiri for us. Kostas was a wealth of information and we ate at many of his recommended restaurants. There is a bus stop conveniently located steps from Athiri, which was helpful. There is a path that connects Fira to Oia located right behind Athiri, we walked this path each morning. The staff were all so pleasant and accommodating. On Our last day our flight was not until 11pm and Kostas had an area for us to store our suitcases, shower (freshen up) and rest as check out was at 12 noon so we could experience another full day on island. He had us like Kings and can’t thank him enough!!

Amazing and best host!

Amazing! Kostas was so very helpful and went out of the way to assist us.
We check out in the morning at 9 am but our ferry to Kos wasn't until after midnight. Kostas kindly offered to store our luggage and even though the reception hours were up to 7 pm, he arranged to meet us at the property at 9.30 pm thereby allowing us to book in a full day Santorini tour with Oia sunset. He was with us until our taxi transfer at 11.30 pm and even opened the play room for the kids.
I will not hesitate to stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini!

Spacious and comfortable rooms. Conveniently located between Fira and Oia. Able to catch the public bus which travels in both directions. For an excellent sightseeing experience follow the walking path that takes you you directly to Fira. An excellent opportunity to take some amazing photos of the caldera.

Close to every attraction Parking is available. Beautiful sunrise view. Friendly and very good advice with information to what to see and where to eat good food given by the hotel owner Kostas. Our room was the top floor superior category. Reasonable pricing. Good food with room service. Welcome res wine with fruits. Jacuzzi overflow water did not drain on the front of the door step. Kostas should leave a squeegee for the guests!!! Overall 4.9 rating

Like a nice apartment in your family village!

Beautiful surrounding, comfy with everything you need for a few days to a few weeks. Love the private patio and hot tub with a beautiful view. Quiet and location is accessible to everything. Grateful for the suggestions and directions on where to eat and where to go so we made the most out of every minute we where in santorini. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely venue for our short stay in Santorini...couldnt ask for a more helpful person in Kostas..so much advice just didnt have time to use it all. Room was lovely, mezzanine style apartment really with a hidden gem of a spa pool with views of sunrise and sunset..lots of space in the room and all the basic amenities to make your own meals. It is about 15 mins walk to the \"town\" but there is a taverna 2mins down the road. You can also get a bus from outside the taverna to Oia or Fira.

if I had to pick out a negative it would be it is on a main road (but so were a lot of other hotels) and wasnt a major issue.

An utterly delightful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Athiri hotel; representing excellent value for money, with great views, a fantastic location (a thoroughly enjoyable 30 minute walk to Fira), brilliant accommodation and excellent service from our concierge Kostas, Athiri hotel is a place I would happily return to. Recommendations from Kostas including the Barborossa Sailing Tour and Winery Visits were great shouts - both being wonderfully informative and entertaining. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel.

Kostas is a super host! Correspondences with him were promptly replied and informative. We received the warmest welcome upon arrival and Kostas proceeded to give us suggestions of things to do and places to eat for our stay. His recommendations were great and we did about 70% of it as my husband was unwell. We caused him some inconvenience as we accidentally brought the room keys to the airport with us! Kostas was ever gracious and arranged for us to leave it with someone he knew at the airport. This is truly a recommended hotel!!

Great property with incredible hosts and views.

Fantastic hosts made our stay amazing. The view is to the east and although I had wanted a view of the caldera, those rooms can be incredibly expensive and Athriri was a much better option overall. The room is spacious and the hosts bring you breakfast to your room each morning. Sit out on the deck and watch the sunrise with a mimosa! Missing them already.

Wow, just wow!

Travelled to Santorini for a friends wedding at the nearby Rocabella. Anna, on reception, at Athiri was the most welcoming and helpful receptionist I have ever met. From assisting us pre-stay to helping us throughout we couldn't have been happier. Whilst there isn't much 'to do' at the hotel the centre of imerovigli isn't far and it's a beautiful walk, if you can make the uphill cobbled streets in the Greek heat! The room and complimentary breakfast supplies were lovely and we cannot wait to return. The only drawback is the pool is not a proper swimming pool but still does the job if you just fancy a quick dip. I would definitely recommend the Athiri.

Enormous rooms and balcony!

The manager is wonderful and takes alot of time to tell you about the island and the facilities. The rooms were enormous huge living area and kitchen, 2 full sized bedrooms but best of all a huge patio / balcony with spa that was big enough for a child to run around and swim in the spa. We loved Santorini and liked that the hotel was out of town but a close enough walk (even with a 4 year old).
Great value for money.

Anna at reception did the best orientation EVER. She described bus routes, where to eat, what to see, and even booked taxis and excursions for us. There was a complimentary fruit basket and bottle of wine. The facilities were pristine, complete with bathrobe and slippers. The kitchenette allowed us to mark breakfasts and snacks. At first I was concerned about noise, as it is on a major road. I never heard the traffic, and being on the bus route was very handy.
I would stay here again. Anna's helpful, kind, and personable service is the #1 reason.

Lovely brand new apartments

Great apartments & service from all staff- very friendly and will help with anything at all that you need. Owner kostas arranged car hire for us and also provided microwave for room at our request. Great location for exploring the island, only a short walk from caldera views. Bus stop near by but car is useful for being able to explore the island properly. A short ( but very steep!) walk to the village with amazing views over caldera. Room was clean & just as shown on their photos. Only drawback is that it's on the main road to oia which can get very busy.. But all things considered who cares when you have your own private jacuzzi & balcony at a fraction of the price of places in oia and imerovigli village centre. I would recommend getting a room with jacuzzi if you can. We were travelling with a 2yr old child and the jacuzzi was a real god send as exploring the island can be very difficult with a kid due to all of the hills/ steps.. So a few lazy days by the apartment were much appreciated.

The Athiri is pretty amazing

While the Athiri doesn't have the amazing backdrops that the other hotels have, the rooms are large and Kostas, our host, is simply wonderful. You're outside of the large towns and a walk to Fira is pretty lengthy. It's beautiful since you're up on the cliff, but on a hot day it takes its toll. The best part about the Athiri is getting information from Kostas on where to eat and what to see. His recommendations were spot on and helped tremendously. As to the rooms - they're plenty large with more than enough room to relax.

Our stay was very nice, as soon as we got there, the staff (Kostas) sat down with us and told us in detail what to do, where to go, what to see. He was there every time we needed him.
The place was clean and new
I highly recommend this place to anyone

Very nice New Hotel

We love it. It is a new 2 bedrooms apartment, very friendly staff, easy to find. If you are staying in this hotel, you need to have a car rent it because there is not much around.

This was the perfect hotel for our romantic escape

I can not say enough good things about this hotel. Costas and Mikie were so very welcoming and took the time to tell us all the wonderful things to do on the island. Every recommendation was a home run. We stayed in room 101 which has the best jacuzzi in my opinion and was a major selling point when I was booking this room. We could watch the sunrises everyday from our front door which was a treat. This hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of Fira, but no more then a 5 minute ride by 4 wheeler (I recommend you get one for your stay... $22E a day and you can take yourself everywhere you want to be) gets you into town where you can pick up supplies for your kitchen if you decide to stay in and cook something. If I ever return to Santorini you can assured I will be staying in room 101 at the Athiri Santorini.

Amazing Rooms and Service?

This is a brand new hotel/apartments in Imerovigli, Greece and the rooms are stunning and the service is excellent! We stayed here in a 2 story apartment for our honeymoon and it felt like a small home. All appliances are brand new and modern. Also, If you want authentic Santorini experience, KOSTAS at the front desk will tell you the best places in town to go! We can't wait to return.
