We recently stayed at Abyssanto for our last stop on our honeymoon and everyone went above and beyond to make this the most spectacular and unforgettable part of our trip!!!! Our room was decorated special with flowers and rose petals upon arrival and we immediately fell in love with the staff and the whole place!!! They helped us coordinate everything throughout our stay and made it easy to plan and maximize our time. We were booked for a romantic dinner outside and it happened to rain and they improvised to set up a different suite very beautifully and served us the best meal of our lives!!! All the staff have so much knowledge of the island as well and are happy to answer any questions you have!!! The breakfast each morning is a beautiful spread and definitely worth it!!! Also very convenient to have beverage and snack options availabile in the mini fridge so you're not always running to the market!!! We plan to come back for our anniversary for 5 or 10 years we did not want to leave!!!! A million times recommend to anyone, thanks again for making our stay so flawless and special everyone at Abyssanto!!

When arriving, our driver was at the airport to take us straight to the suites. Upon arrival we were greeted with wine and a little taste of Santorini. Mr. Panagiotis will give you a run down of all the city and suite has to offer. Him and Ms Catalina are beyond humble and are always there to make sure you are more than comfortable and able to enjoy all this beautiful place has to offer. 10 out of 10 would recommend

The one good thing about this place is the view — it really is beautiful. Unfortunately, the rest was disappointing. We couldn’t use the outside part of our room because every night there were ants on our bench. The steps are steep, slick, and have no railings, which feels unsafe, especially after a drink or two. The pool is tiny — about the size of two hot tubs — and sits directly in front of the main office, so it feels awkward being on display.

Getting around isn’t terrible with a small store and a couple of restaurants nearby, but transportation is pricey. Rides cost $35–$45 one way, more at certain hours. Since there’s no beach on-site, you’ll need a taxi — about $70–$90 round trip.

The staff experience was frustrating. Before arriving, I called about early check-in since our flight landed at 8 a.m. They said it was no problem, but when we got there, they wanted $50 an hour — $350 total — just to enter a room that was already ready. On top of that, we had to sit through a 20-minute sales pitch for extras like in-room dinners and massages, and the upselling continued almost daily, which was annoying.

To make things worse, their pricing felt unreasonable. Something that cost $50 in cash jumped to $80 if paying with a credit card, which they blamed on “fees.” A 60% markup is just crazy.

Overall, the view is great, but between the ants, unsafe steps, tiny pool, pushy sales tactics, and surprise fees, it simply wasn’t worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at Abyssanto Suite and Spa. Mr. P. and Katerina treated us like family. Mr. P helped us plan our daily activities (private land tour with Cristos, sunset cruise). He provided shuttle service to wherever we wanted to go. The place was clean and breakfast was excellent. We were able to relax and truly enjoyed our vacation. The place has the best view of the caldera and the sunset!

Excellent location, very inviting hosts (the owner Katarina was really respectful and kind) and amazing, spacious rooms. We had a very memorable stay here. We relaxed in the pool and enjoyed sunset on the pool chairs with wine. It was a very relaxing vacation. The breakfast is served to your room and is too notch! It’s a huge breakfast and you can enjoy it after sunrise, go for a hike from Fira to Oia and directly have dinner at several nearby restaurants. The location is very convenient and you can very much spend the entire vacation without leaving the neighborhood.

Very family friendly atmosphere. Imerovigli is not the busy part of town but the laid back part. Abyssanto suites is in very good condition and was about what I expected based on listing photos. The staff is friendly, down to earth, and speak into your heart and soul when they speak to you!

The team at Abyssanto is fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with arranging transportation, providing recommendations, and even packed us a to go breakfast when we had to leave for the airport at 4am. We had included breakfast and there is nothing better than enjoying it with a view in the morning. They provided a different breakfast spread each day that we were there. You can’t beat the views from this location. It is well located near some lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk.

This property is located on top of caldera. Excellent location for Caldera and sunset view. Better sunset view from hotel compare to Oia which is over crowded by cruise folks and all other visitors. Excellent Breakfast is served in your balcony. This property offers very competitive pricing on transfers, tours, excursions. Manager Panos works with you as per your need. Takish was excellent tour guide for Santorini island tour. Oia has upscale shopping. Walkway path around perimeter of caldera was excellent.

I stayed at Luxury Suite, Jetted Tub (Abyssos Caldera Sea and Sunset View) and it was my best decision to stay at this hotel! I came for our honeymoon and they prepared flower bouquet which was very welcoming. The view is amazing and the jacuzzi tub with the view is to die for. The breakfast is HUGE and the owner and staffs are very friendly.

Great location and fantastic views from the jacuzzi and pool. We really liked the hotel, unfortunately the air conditioner appeared to not work as it should on our last two nights - air was blowing but it was not cold air. Our room on those 2 days was at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit which led to sleeping uncomfortably. On our last day we brought this issue to the staff’s attention and they tried to accommodate us with another room but we declined since we were leaving.

Great location for unforgettable sunsets. Walk to Oia can be tough in the summer months, but it's probably a must if you're in Santorini. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the hotel staff will help you get around as needed. Great food, the breakfasts are massive and delicious.
Only drawbacks were that the jacuzzi didn't get hot enough and there is no shade on the balcony or anywhere else in the hotel, unless you are inside your room

A very pleasant stay

It was a very pleasant stay. The gentleman at the reception (I think his name is Panos - my apologies if I have it wrong) was very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport was very friendly as well. We also booked a 5 hr tour and he was explaining and telling us the details of each site. The view from the room was exceptional and it was a plus to have a heated/jetted tub right outside our room, which we get to enjoy two nights out of the three. The breakfast was one of the things we look forward to every morning. Overall, everyone at this place is great! I would definitely recommend this place.

Great location with beautiful views and lots of dining options with the same great sunset views and an easy walk. The hotelier, Panagliotis, was very pleasant and accommodating. The tours offered thru the suites were well organized and high quality. We did the catamaran sunset cruis and wine tasting. Had a wonderful massage on site. We had 2 issues with our room: hot tub not working the 1st 2 nights but finally fixed on our last night and it was delightful under the full moon. Shower pressure is low and slow to drain. The daily breakfast was delicious and great variety. And the daily cleaning service was great. 10 min drive to downtown, Fira, and 20 minutes drive to Oia. Would definitely recommend.

The property itself were great. The issue is that the general manager and the rest of the staff only care about you spending more money. I scheduled what was supposed to be a private transfer to the ferry but had another couple from the hotel join last minute. I was told we needed to leave for the ferry 1pm because of “traffic” when the ferry was at 3:30pm. The general manger completely ruined and wasted my last day in Santorini by saying we had to leave at 1pm just so he had enough time to swing by the airport first to drop off the other couple who joined us for the ride first. The other couple thought they were paying for a private shuttle service as well. When i complained to management about they blatantly lying to me the day before they made excuses and said they would not refund me unless I came back to the hotel. They completely ruined my last day and would not even refund the ride. They only care about taking your money at this hotel.

This hotel is in a beautiful location! The views are stunning. The breakfast is generous and high quality. The extras that are offered by the hotel are very enjoyable, we did the wine tasting tour and it was one of our most enjoyable days on the island. The rooms are smaller than they appeared in the listing and that made things feel cramped at times. Most of the rooms have one small window which looks out at the view and a regular size door that can be opened to add to the view. Our room had a door facing another direction so our only view was through the very small window. In fairness, many of the hotels in Santorini are built in this style, but we will definitely be looking for a place with bigger windows and more access to the view from inside the unit next time we visit. The hero of this place is the outdoor jacuzzi tubs, that sit perched on the edge of the dramatic cliff and offer unparalleled views of the caldera and a sunset that will make you wish you could stop time and stay forever. Unfortunately, we like a jacuzzi hot!! And although the staff made considerable effort to get our tub hot, it never did reach a fully comfortable temperature. However we were there when the weather was cooler, it was quite windy and there was some light drizzling rain. All perfect conditions to relax in a HOT tub, but not so much, a lukewarm tub. For us, it was a huge disappointment. Again, the staff did try to resolve this, it just couldn’t be fixed.

What an amazing experience we had! My wife and I have traveled all over the world together but but attention that our host gave us was like no other!

We couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience, breakfast every morning was delicious, took us on a wine tour of the island, dropped us off and picked us up 24/7 upon request…airport transportation to and from…any questions we had he had the answer for us!

Soooo this place is absolutely amazing. I think staying in this are Imerovigly you get the best sunset views of Sanotrini, yes better than Oia. The breakfast is AMAZING, the staff is superb! They help you plan your days when you get there and give you all the help and tips you need for your stay. Just wait til you get there and they do EVERYTHIG FOR YOU! We were so so happy there! My family (including 3 picky College kids) absolutely loved Abyssanto! It’s just like the movies! Spectacular view & private jacuzzi & pool. Pano & his staff were excellent in every way! Picked us up at the airport , served us wine & drinks upon arrival & gave us excellent dinner & activity recommendations. He got us THE BEST tables at wonderful restaurants in Oia & Fira and he set us up with an amazing private boat excursion for the day. The breakfast was outstanding each day & served to us on our beautiful patio with spectacular view each morning. the location is perfect - easy to walk to shops, bars & restaurants & when we needed transportation , Pano happily arranged for us. My wife and I had a really great stay at Abyssanto for our honeymoon. The hotel has an immaculate view of the caldera, with a great location within Imerovigli. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The manager, Mr. Drossos, was kind enough to upgrade our suite when he found out it was our honeymoon. He also arranged our sunset boat tour, dinner reservations, wine tour, massages, transfers and other activities. He does it all, literally! The rooms were all very clean. The breakfasts were also really outstanding. Our only complaint would be that the pool water was extremely cold. The pool was very clean and nice but hard to enjoy with such cold water. We would highly recommend Abyssanto Suites & Spa!

The manager started the checkin process off with being super nice and offering a ton of information for our stay and possible tours/discounts.

For a week stay the room was a little small for storage, but the bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of room. There was AC however the coldest setting (turbo) would turn off every hour, so the nights were a little warm. However the manager did accommodate fan request.

Breakfast was included and handled by a very small kitchen, so you have to request a time block that doesn’t overlap another rooms. However the manager was super accommodating and even found dairy free options for diet needs!! Just be sure to voice all your preferences are voiced before 9pm and they do their best to make it happen!

The private hot tub for this suite had a little lounge pad which I highly suggest, it made for great sunsets and lounging after breakfast. I highly suggest a room with a lounge pad (there are only about 4). Keep in mind the hot tub area did not offer much shade, though I didn’t ask for a spare umbrella. I would suggest this.

The manager was very accommodating on helping us get a better deal on a catamaran trip and drive us around for a price!

The pool offers a swim up bar, where the manger will make a couple special cocktails, at decent prices.

The villas are walking distants from several restaurants, a mini market, and the rock hike! The local bus stop was only about 5 minute walk, which offer cheap prices!

This was a very unique property in Santorini. The room was a cave and has blue everywhere. It was just what we wanted for a hotel in Greece. Every morning we got breakfast delivered to our room and we had an excellent view from our patio. The staff was helpful and you could arrange transportation and tours from the front desk. Overall it was great, we would recommend it! About a 30 minute walk from the cable car.

The manager is absolutely horrible. Our flight arrived at 3AM and I had scheduled a pickup at the airport through the hotel. They stated a driver would be outside with a sign with my name on it. I couldn’t get my phone to work so after 20 minutes we decided to take a taxi. While in the taxi I finally got my phone working and got through to the hotel. The manager argued with me that the guy is at the airport and hung up on me. When we got to the hotel the gate was locked. The same guy answered and was upset that we were already there, we had to wait another 20 minutes for the driver to show up with our room key. Our room was far from what was stated on the booking. I went down in the morning to discuss the driver not being there and to get a different room. He argued with me that he was there and basically called me a liar. Refused to change the room even after I showed him the printed out booking stating that we would have a private balcony. I told him that I wanted to cancel the remaining days and he refused because it said non refundable. I argued that it should be because we didn’t get what was stated on the booking. He still refused. I’ve been to santorini many times and the hotels have booked four wheelers or mopeds for us. When I asked if he can book some he asked if we had some special grey license. We walk down the street and had them in a matter of minutes. They told us not to drink the water but only gave us two free water bottle the first night and charged us for t

The staff at this hotel are outstanding. Very kind and friendly. We had a great holiday. The food from the kitchen is great and it is shame that the restaurant is not used more. We were the only diners there while we stayed. However I know the reason why which is one reason why I did not give a higher rating. The hotel does not accept credit cards on site. They only accept cash for any room service or any excursions you book through them. In this day and age in a luxury location (where you spend a lot) this is a \"no-no\". They need to get this fixed. The views from the hotel are unbelievable. It is like the postcard image. The sunsets are fantastic. I took my son for his summer holiday but this place is made for couples. So romantic. My second reason why I did not give top marks was the place really needs to be refurbished once a year after the season. Re-painted, everything in top order for the next season. Speaking with the manager the hotel had not been through such an update for at least 5 years. This showed on some of the paint and the jacuzzi in the room (we didn't use it) and our shower had a tendency to flood (the drains had not been cleared). If these issues were attended to I would have given this place an excellent rating because the staff are marvelous!!

This is an awesome hotel - exceptional views, exceptional rooms, exceptional hospitality & exceptional management. People come to Santorini to see the beautiful water and sunsets. This is a great place to soak it all in. The views are awesome. The rooms are built on/in terraces of the hill. Every room has a fantastic view. The room and the entire property were extremely clean and well tended. I know this is considered a 5 star property, if available, I'd give them 6. Hotel staff at all levels were focused on guest happiness and guest service. It's clear they were all very well trained and enjoyed their work. Special accolades for Athina, property manager for orchestrating a great staff. Every one of the staff members worked with a smile and with joy.

Location is incredible, view is amazing. Friendly, helpful staff and delicious food too. Pool and Jacuzzi clean and relaxing. Staff knowledgeable and want to help you plan your day. Can walk into Fira and Skaros is down the path. Was delayed arriving (flights) but allowed check in early, very appreciated.

Everything from check in to check out was outstanding. One detail they did that stood out to me was that they opened their kitchen after hours to make me a sandwich since I was starving after traveling and we arrived around 11pm to check in. This has to be one of the best hotel stays we've ever had, everything from check-in until we left for the airport was above and beyond what people generally expect at a commercialized tourist spot.

Their staff at the reception is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and pleasurable. They'll arrange everything for you and give you recommendations about what to do and how to maximize your time in Santorini.

Finally, the views, OMG, no amount of money is enough for these views. The sunset, the caldera, the pool, the breakfast, the room, the ambiance, the drinks in the pool, nothing comes close to what this place offers.

Couldn't recommend it enough, an experience that should be on people's bucket list.
Thanks Abyssanto for making it a stay of a lifetime for us.

Really lovely part of Santorini and a gorgeous view of the caldera and sunset from all rooms at this hotel. However, it is a little old and run down. We had the honeymoon suite, and the private outdoor jet bath didn’t get much sun during the day, and wasn’t overly clean. The main pool is gorgeous, albeit quite small, and only 4 lounges. Breakfast was good served on your balcony, and the rooms are basic, if not a little old school. The staff were lovely though - so helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our time in Santorini.

Abyssanto was an AMAZING place. The room was extremely clean. The rest of the facility was beautiful and also very clean. The views are simply breathtaking. Thanasis (Manager of the hotel) and his staff did an excellent job making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They worked very hard and the service was exceptional. Very well run place. Close to restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Staff were nice. It is in a great location. Many restaurants are in walking distance. I picked this hotel because of the hot tub in the room. They look nice in the photos. But you don’t really use them because there’s no privacy. For $485, I don’t think it was worth it.
Honestly I never seen anyone to use them. Pool is very small. It’s like a big bathtub. No shades in the pool area. No full body mirror in the room.
Breakfast was terrible. It’s only 10 euros. But Breads were all dry. ( I didn’t even touch them ) Kiwi was not fresh ( it was frozen ) in the fruit salad. I was laughing at the cereal bowl. It was like a baby’s size! They should really work on the breakfast. If I was at the cheap place, I wouldn’t expect more. But for $485 hotel, they should be done better way. Just do it right. It’s not cost to make better food. It’s greece!
Overall it was just okay. I didn’t feel like I want to go back there next time. And I wouldn’t recommend for this price.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Everything about this hotel was perfect, the staff were brilliant and the view is amazing! The maid is really good too, she came every day and left the room spotless! The staff really make you feel welcome and they offer loads of information about the island. The only thing about this hotel, is the location there is one shop close but which is a little expensive but other than that, you need to stay at abbysanto suites and spa!

It was just what I was looking for! It was a quiet area in between Oia and Fira. 30 mins to Fira & 1:30 to Oia. The view was amazing especially during Sunset. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Perfect experience overall.

Great LOCATION

The Abyssanto's main strength is its position on the caldera. It also has staff who go out of their way to accommodate you in every way. We very much enjoyed our stay there although my partner found the shower frustratingly small. I was a touch put out that the jacuzzi on the pool level - in the common area - was apparently only for the appartment nearby. My advice is make it for everyone and make more people happy! The other terrific thing about this hotel is the range of breakfast choices and the fact they DELIVER it to your room at an agreed time.

Breath-taking views of the caldera, superb service

from the very beginning, when we needed to reschedule our stay, and to the very end, our late check out, the staff and service were absolutely superb. quiet hotel, only 8 rooms, makes the experience in Santorini very exclusive. Facilities are absolutely amazing, great breakfast (with a Greek option with their traditional spinach pie and amazing greek yogurt), good cocktails by the swimming pool, and breath-taking views of the caldera. We're coming back next year for a long weekend and looking forward staying at Abyssanto again.

We stayed in Abyssanto for 4 nights, we loved the views, the room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. We were located 30 min walk from Fira town center, and preferred to stay in Imervogli, which is much more laid back and relaxing than the city center of Fira. Hotel staff was helpful in dealing with the airline issues we had on the way flying back from Santorini to Rome.

Fabulous location and views atop Imerovigli

This hotel is in a fabulous location atop the hill of Imerovigli, overlooking the caldera and Oia to the north. The staff is superbly friendly and helpful. Rooms are pretty cool, with accent lighting and the smooth multicolored painted concrete surfaces. Linen is high end and comfortable. Bathroom (at least in my room) was extremely small, and using the shower would get water everywhere. I wish that the pool were open later than it is officially, but it was easy enough to poach a late night swim under the moonlight after reception was closed.

If you want the postcard Santorini experience...

We had a wonderful stay at Abyssanto for 6 days. Staff was very hospitable and gave us great personal recommendations for restaurants, directions and activities. I would recommend this hotel 100%. When booking I was choosing between a hotel in Oia and Abyssanto in Imerovigli and I am so happy that we stayed at Abyssanto. Oia while beautiful was extremely chaotic with tourists and the views at our hotel were just as good or better than in Oia. From this location we were able to hike into Oia ( 14 mile round trip or take a taxi) and we took mulitple trips into Thira ( 25 min walk). It was the best of both worlds and we can't wait to visit again !

Wonderful Location - Boutique Hotel

Abyssanto Suites and Spa is a gorgeous hotel on the cliff's of the caldera. The view is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The staff were very friendly and took the time to suggest itineraries and events for us to enjoy during our stay. We did not take advantage of the spa services but they looked very relaxing. The hotel is small but this is common with the ones located on the cliff. The only item I wish was more clear was the balconies are not private, they are more of a communal space. We were told that one of the tables was designated for our room; however, occasionally another guest was using it. However, one of the most amazing highlights of this hotel is the fresh breakfast served to your room everyday! It was delicious and they switched up the options every day. Thank-you Abyssanto for the wonderful stay.

\"Stunning\" in the best location on the island.

Abyssanto Spa Hotel has great friendly staff who did all they could to make our stay perfect.
Costas met us at the airport with a great smile, he told us a little about the island during the drive to the hotel. At the hotel lovely Vivienna greeted us, she gave us information that the hotel provides incuding boats trips, car hire, spa treatments and anything else we wanted, nothing was too much trouble for them, even trying to teach us a few Greek phrases.
Special thanks to Agi who made wonderful breakfasts and cooked delicious meals catering for my milk allergy. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, with big comfy beds and magnificent views of the Caldera. Thank you to Panagiotis for letting us keep our room until the evening flight we really appreciated your kindness and generosity. Santorini is a beautiful island.
