Fantastic views from our villa. We had a lovely terrace where we had breakfast every morning. 10/10 recommend
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel very welcome.
The only con was the lack of a spa which appears as a facility on the app and on their website. It was a big reason why we chose this hotel. It's not a deal breaker, our stay was lovely but we were never informed of this and when I asked about it before arrival, my question was ignored. So if you are looking for a spa hotel, this is not it.

Not a good experience. Toilet didn’t work, then told to use the public bathroom that looked like a janitor’s closet and they would fix our issue “tomorrow”. Issue was not fixed until midday so half our stay was without a working toilet.

We had a fabulous stay at the Gold Suites in June 2024. The views from the hotel are jaw dropping, the staff is so kind and helpful, and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. In keeping with the luxury concept, you’ll get welcome drinks and nightly turn-down service and lots of fresh towels and such. We got the room with the private pool. It was so very lovely.

We struggled to decide between staying in world-famous Oia (where the famous blue-domed buildings are) or where Gold Suites is. We are SO glad we chose Gold Suites due to the droves of tourists and cruise line day trippers in Oia. We didn’t have to deal with any of that obnoxious level of tourism. There are good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel that are also cheaper than Oia.

Know that taxi rides are bracingly expensive between towns on the island, but it’s easy to get around if needed and the hotel will help with transfers. However, you may find that relaxing at the hotel is all you need!

We loved our stay at the gold suites. We were on our honeymoon and had the best time. The room was spacious and we loved the outside balcony area. The location of the hotel was great and we did not have a lot of steps. The staff were all amazing and always willing to help. The view from the room was spectacular. It was that santorini moment. The breakfast is served by time slots so if you need a certain time slot the next day go early to book yours so it doenst fill up. The portions are on the smaller side so order a bit extra.
The only downside I would say Is the hot tub wasn’t all that hot so we could not enjoy it as much. The shower was also a bit cold. Despite those two things, I would recommend the hotel and recommend staying here.

Junior suite furniture very shabby , sofa was stained, water from shower didnt drain away properly and came back up through another drain in the bathroom and flooded it sometimes. Bed was very comfortable though. Cocktails and snacks were great from the pool bar. Outlook immediately in front of hotel had building materials thrown on to it from a building site literally next to our junior suite (although there wasnt any active building going on during our stay), which could have been camouflaged better. Staff very friendly.

Had a wonderful 5 days with Gold Suites. The room service was very good and accommodating for a vegetarian, the bar made killer cocktails, and theres plenty of food options within 5 min walk of the property. We reserved the Gold Suite and loved the spacious room, private pool and absolutely stunning view. The spa options were also plentiful, really enjoyed the cliffside massage and honeymoon treatments. The staff were super friendly and helped so much with room orders, ordering taxis, and giving reccs. There were a few issues, our in-room safe didn’t work and our shower’s hammam was a bit weak. Overall, I would definitely stay with them again.

Nice, but could’ve been better

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Gold Suites. The location was great and our particular suite offered us a lot of privacy, which isn’t easily guaranteed given the topography of the area. The views of the caldera are stunning and the property connects directly to the pedestrian path that runs from Fira to Oia.

That said, there were some things we didn’t love so much, particularly given the $600/night price tag. Reception wasn’t very helpful; WiFi was often spotty; no bath mats were provided for the shower. The breakfast was good, but they utilize a delivery slot time system and bring your order to the room. If your preferred time slot on a given day is not available, then you may be left having breakfast at odd times. When we politely requested some more drinking water, they were oddly very reluctant. Lastly, the “hot” tub was more of a “warm” tub, and when we asked about increasing the temperature, we got the runaround and it never happened.

Our stay at the Gold Suites was absolutely wonderful, relaxing and quiet. Maria and her staff went out of their way to help us with everything. View from balcony, served breakfast with caldera view and stunning sunset view were just perfect for our getaway. Hike to Skaros Rock below Imerovigli or Oai was one of the best things to do on Santorini to see dreamy view of aegean sea and make us feel \"on top of the world\". Location is just perfect to get to many great restaurants nearby or in downtown Fira. We wholeheartedly recommend Gold Suites for anyone 's stay in Santorini island.

I am so excited to review this property. My husband and I came for our 20 yr anniversary and the honeymoon we never had. I read the reviews of so many Santorini hotels and settled here. It was Worth it!

The view was breathtaking and the staff was great! We had the room with the semi-private balcony overlooking the Santorini Caldera, a full spread hand picked breakfast on the balcony every morning. The staff was wonderful on providing suggestions and setting up transportation for us. Santorini owes me nothing! It was so worth the money we spent.

The room was spacious and restaurants/ local markets all in walking distance. You’ll love the location if you are a couple. It’s quiet and perfect for a romantic getaway or honeymoon.

We loved our stay at Gold Suites. The staff was very hospitable and helped us with our ATV booking and gave us great recommendations. We stayed in the superior suite with jacuzzi and a caldera view. Would highly recommend this room! We enjoyed the sunset from here and had delicious breakfast setup on our patio each morning. Housekeeping came each day and left the place spotless. We were glad to stay in Imerovigli since it was really quiet and less crowded. You can walk 20 mins to Fira or rent an ATV and go around the whole island.

Perfect location and you can view the sunset right from your room. It’s a small hotel and the layout is very nice. Our room had a large balcony with a jacuzzi. It was very private. Cleanliness in the bathroom is a huge concern with this place. The shower had about an inch of mold at the bottom up the walls. It had a very bad smell. All the floors in the room were also dirty. They seemed to be swept between guests and not actually moped. Our feet got dirty when walking on them. I’d only recommend staying here if they fixed the cleaning problem. For the price you pay, this place should be spotless.

I did a thorough search for a property that had good reviews, nice staff, and a heated pool. We ended up getting more than what we asked for! On our first day we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite without charge due to its availability. Recieved small welcome gifts nearly every day of our stay. Perfect honeymoon location

This place is fantastic. My wife and I stayed here for two nights after staying in Oia the previous 3 nights. We wanted to experience the cave style hotel there but then something more upscale in Imerovigli and Gold Suites fit that bill perfectly. We stayed in the Superior Suite with hot tub and caldera view. The rooms are spacious and upscale. The view us beautiful. The hot tub is plenty large. I can’t think of anything negative to say.
The hotel provides robes, slippers, etc. On the first night they gave us a nice bottle of Santorini white whine, a plate of fresh fruit and a couple of sweet treats. The breakfasts provided were delivered right on time both mornings. The selections are terrific with a large variety of options and everything tasted great. All of the attendants were extremely helpful, setting up an ATV rental, airport transfer and helping with some of our self guided touring of the island including restaurant recommendations. On the last morning the concierge even made some recommendations in Athens when we told them that was our next stop.
Gold Suites really did a great job in helping with our perfect honeymoon in my wife’s dream destination.

This place is so amazing! We stayed in the grand suite for 5 nites - w/heated pool on balcony & jacuzzi in room. It was worth it, the heated pool allowed a view up to the moon at night, & The glass over look balcony to the caldera gave a wonderful view! They shuttled us to and from airport, They brought gifts of wine & snacks, kept our marble floor room immaculate, & when we left they all came out to wave goodbye. The place is clean, new decor all classy and gorgeous. The hotel pool has a great view.
They have other rooms with pools, no spa, and they looked great as well - but the grand suite is very private, & imo worth a splurge!
The location is only 20min walk to Fira. It’s got the best view of Caldera. Oia you can bus to. There’s a mini market and restaurants around 2 min away. I will be coming back to this adorable hotel. Absolutely. I had looked at this and another nearby, with an indoor cave pool - I am so glad u finally chose this one. An outdoor pool is a must in Santorini. After a walk to fira and shopping - it’s needed!

I would give this 3.5 - 4.0 stars.
It's hard to rate this hotel bc you have some ups and downs. It is located 6 miles from Oia and 1 mile from Fira. We got the room with the view and hot tub.
Pros: View is 2nd to none. Staff is super friendly. Room was really nice and and clean. Location is good. The hotel is in a cul-de-sac, so you have a few restaurants, and a market where you can get snacks, souvenirs, beer, and wine. The market stays open until 12:00am.
You can rent a scooter, ATV, or car from the hotel.

Cons: Hot tub is about the size of your bathtub (just deeper), and about as warm as your tub when you get out. Hot water shower is hit or miss. You might have hot/warm water or you might not. Pool is super small.
Taxi will cost you 25 euro to get to Oia; learn the bus route.

Eating a huge, personal breakfast on our balcony was so relaxing too. Well worth the price.

Best view in Santorini with great service.

We came here for our 15th anniversary and we loved this place. We chose it based on the reviews, location, photos, price point and privacy that seems rare in Santorini.

The location is ideal for the sunset. You honestly couldn’t have a better sunset anywhere. People talk about Oia but Imerovigli is way better in my opinion.

The breakfast on the balcony is amazing and abundant. The rooms are clean and typical with good services. We had a hot tub on our balcony and it was all you needed at the end of the day. Again it was private on the balcony unlike many places in Santorini so we enjoyed our time there. We felt like we had a private villa with the best view in Santorini.

100% recommended for a couple looking for a place in Imerovigli.

Amazing views!! We stayed at the Gold Suites for 3 nights and from the time we arrived we were treated like their name Gold. We were upgraded by Nico at the front desk from a deluxe suite to a private grand suite. Spiros at the pool bar area was fantastic. We stayed in Suite No.2 for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We were absolutely blown away by the view from our very private terrace (we overlooked some of the less private balconies). The best thing about this tiny family owned hotel is the staff. Always smiling, extremely helpful; made our stay feel so special. Couple of minor disappointments - bringing your own alcohol to the room was discouraged. But the well stocked mini bar prices were so prohibitive, we had to break this rule. The only other slight niggle was the cooked breakfast served cold each morning. Beautiful breakfast on our private terrace, served by the hard working smiling porter each morning in the most idyllic surroundings - but cold. This is a very minor point. Our short stay centred on relaxation. Gorgeous 25 minute walk to the capitol of Fira along the cliff top path right outside the Gold Suites (highly recommend the Palia Kameni bar for a cocktail). Take the path in the other direction, we had a lovely walk to Oia (pronounced Ear) which we were told would take 2 to 3 hours. Smashed it in 1.5 hours! Oia is stunning village. Very up market and we were very lucky to find the Fanari Villas restaurant for the best seat in the house to watch the sunset. Taxi home cost €20. If you’re on a special occasion like we were, you must book the front seats at La Maison restaurant. Pricey but worth every penny for what I would say is one of the best dining experiences I have had ever! Highly recommend these suites.

Fantastic Service with Incredible View

Gold Suites was fantastic all around! My room had a private balcony (as do all their rooms) with an absolutely incredible view over the Caldera. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning so you can enjoy a leisurely wake up gazing over the ocean. Staff were super helpful, and allowed me to store my luggage when I arrive early. They remembered my name each time they saw me, were great about helping with bookings or taxis or whatever I needed, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a nice stay. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. They sent a complimentary bottle of wine upon check in. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

Our stay at Gold Suites was absolutely amazing. Obviously the caldera view was stunning, but that wasn't the only great part about our stay. We had a Superior Suite which was perfect for our honeymoon - plenty of space, comfortable, and had a private terrace with hot tub.

The staff was incredible from check in to check out. It was the same, small group of folks every day, who were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about our days and what we had planned.
We utilized the spa services for massages, which were excellent. You do have to go outside Gold Suites and down the road just a minute to access them, but our concierge walked us over, so you wouldn't get lost or anything.

The made-to-order breakfast each day was very good and it was wonderful enjoying it on the terrace. The restaurant, Aurum, which is by the pool - they serve the same menu for room service - was excellent. Order the cheese platter, you won't be sorry.

All in all, we would highly recommend Gold Suites. The customer service is top of the line, and staying in Imerovigli was a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of Fira and Oia.

Gold Suites has a lovely view of Skaros Rock and the surrounding beauty and that is definitely the major draw of Gold Suites. Our room was spacious and did have a large balcony with a hot tub, but the furniture and overall room seemed tired and outdated. The bedding was uncomfortable and the glass doors were never cleaned our whole trip. The room had a slight sewage smell that we had to flush out ourselves. The staff was friendly but also seemed tired from a long season. The highlight was the included breakfast on our patio every morning - very tasty! Overall given the high price tag and large selection of other boutiques hotels to choose from with the same views, I would stay elsewhere next time.

Our 2nt stay here was fantastic. Overall friendly staff. Pool bar/restaurant staff exceptional. All our requests promptly met. Imerovigli is the highest part of Santorini, and nothing blocks the sunsets we all hear so much about. Quiet, romantic, picture perfect.
Walking path along the caldera from hotel takes you right to the end in Oia. Approx. 10kms one way, but worth it for the breathtaking views!

Beautiful hotel with secluded feel

The hotel is beautiful and is certainly more secluded than some of the other hotels in Imerovigli where people can be walking right past your hot tub. Details like having your breakfast served on your balcony every morning really added to the romance of the trip.

It is a shame that they have changed the poolside area - they have built a white covered area next to the bar. Therefore the dining area is not a candlelit romantic area such as in the hotel photos but in a white box which takes away from the sunset views.

If you do not have sun loungers in your own suite it is difficult to secure an area by the pool, as there are only 6 sun loungers. I think that this was the main downside to the hotel, as when in Santorini you don't want to have to wake up at 8am to secure a sunlounger by the pool!

We are recent;y back from a weeks stay in Gold Suites and couldn’t be happier with the hotel. Imerovigli is a great option on Santorini, close enough to walk to the restaurants in Fira but away from the cruise ship day trippers. All the rooms in this small boutique hotel have fantastic views over the caldera, with patios on which to relax and watch the sunset. We have a superior suite (number 3) which is very private with a jacuzzi and a superb aspect over the caldera to Oia. There is not much sun on this balcony, but that is not a problem as there is plenty of space around the pool for sunbathing with the same views. The food at the hotel is very good and we had breakfast served to us on our balcony each morning and watched the sunset with cocktails and dinner in the poolside restaurant. The staff have been very helpful and unfailingly friendly throughout. There are many other similar style hotels clinging to this beautiful clifftop but I can’t recommend this one highly enough.

As a side observation this is early in the season in Santorini and much less crowded than the mayhem you see in the height of summer. The weather, though not sweltering is still very warm and is a good time of year to enjoy this beautiful island.

The walk from Imerovigli to Oia along the edge of the crater is a must, but bear in mind it is a proper 2-3 hour walk in some challenging terrain, so prepare for it properly, but it is well worth it

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We were absolutely amazed when we arrived, the room was perfect (suite 2) and the views were spectacular. The staff could not do enough to ensure our stay was the best and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel is small (but huge rooms!), clean and a great location for exploring the island. The hotel staff helped us with restaurant bookings, boat tours, spa days, places to go. I would highly recommend this hotel for honeymooners or couples looking for a place to relax. thank you Gold Suites!

Beautiful views, great location

We stayed at the gold suites for 5 nights on our honeymoon in early October. The hotel was nothing short of amazing. We were greeted by the staff who gave us a map of Santorini and showed us the best things to do. The staff also gave us a free both of wine and basket of fruit on the day of our choosing. Our hotel room was beautiful - we had a suite with a balcony and a jacuzzi right on the balcony. The views from the balcony were amazing - we spent most of our time out there. Our room was in the perfect location, we weren't too close to the walking path but we could see all the activity. The hotel location is perfect in Imerovigli. It is a much quieter town than Fira, but there is a path that connects the towns and you can get to Fira in 20-25 minutes. It was nice staying away from the crowds. The path that connects the towns makes it very easy to get into Fira for lunch/dinner and it is very safe. During our trip, we rented an ATV which was priced very reasonably and was definitely the best way to see the whole island. Would highly recommend this hotel and would also recommend travelling in September/October when the weather is still pleasant, but the island is a bit quieter.

Golden view in Gold Suits

We arrived a little early but the lovely desk staff let us relax by the pool until our room was ready.
This was a real benefit as we had travelled a long way and were .relieved to stop and relax ..
Our room was perfect. the view amazing .We were above a footpath that takes people along the island, but very private , with our own deck.
Everywhere you go around the Hotel gives you wonderful views over the bay.
Our meals were delicious and the service very friendly and professional.It was lovely to have breakfast served on the deck each morning.
Thanks you for making our stay wonderful.
We,ll be back again.

Delightful view from private balcony!

We spent 5 nights of our honeymoon at Gold Suites and it exceeded our expectations! The private balcony where our breakfast was served to us every day is somewhere we will long for always! Dina on the front desk during the day took excellent care of us and was a font of information and recommendations. She was able to get us a reservation at Athenian house where we had one of our best meals on Santorini. Kostos, on the front desk at night was also very helpful. Gold Suites is in a fantastic location in Imerovigli - after walking around and past other people's private balconies that were right on the \"street\", we felt like we had lucked out with how private our hotel was compared to others.

AMAZING!

This is by far one of the best boutique hotels I have evee stayed in. From the staff to the location, views and the rooms, this place is worth every penny. Imerovigli is much quieter than Oia and Fira, still close enough to make it to restaurants and bars. I really loved this hote and would definitely stay again!

World class caldera views! Exceedingly expensive

This is a luxury hotel for the room itself and views. There are no frills or extras that would be found in a larger hotel. This is like a bed and breakfast. While the staff was great, there is a lack of adequate staffing. For $900 / night, there needs to be more staff. There needs to be free shuttles to and from Oia and the airport. We stayed in Mykonos at Rocabella for half price and had a full service concierge and all of the free shuttles and airport transfers. Regardless, for a honeymoon, it was worth the once in a lifetime splurge. The views are just that good. The deluxe suite felt like a penthouse suite. The private pool is very tiny but heated and wonderful. Not that these are not private balconies. Many walkers or staff or hotel guests are able to see you. Rooms are separated with just some low dividers

Beautiful hotel!

After researching nearly every hotel in Santorini, we settled on Gold Suites and couldn't be happier we did. The property is stunning. The suite is spacious and the patio is huge! We had a private hot tub and used it often. A beautiful breakfast served every morning on the patio...it was gorgeous! And the staff - Dina in particular - could not have been more accommodating. She made our time in Santorini even more special! After walking up and down the path to Fira and touring Oia, this was the best property hands down!
