Not the best hotel in Santorini. The room is alright. Outdated, the room is divided into 3 parts, bathroom, then bed in the middle, the small sitting area with TV. You can't watch the tv from your bed.
Pros: free delicious breakfast (starts at 8:30am), beautiful view of the Caldera.
Cons: outdated, shower look dirty, pool is very very small and the hot tub was not working at that time.
No reception or anyone to help you after 9pm, until 8am next day

Loved our stay at Ilioperato! Family run, every one was so nice and welcoming. The location in Imerovigli was perfect! Short walk to restaurants, but far enough from the main stretch to allow for a quiet, romantic retreat. Would definitely book here again!

We had a large party of people staying at Ilioperato for a wedding. Some of the staff were very nice, but some were terrible. A review of our stay:
The Good:
- They give free bottles of water which is amazing
- Location is very good to Imerovigli
The Bad:
- One of the staff members, Bruno I think his name is, is extremely rude and made everyone feel very unwelcome, he made it very clear he didnt like everyone.
- Even though we had so 9 people staying, they were often reluctant to give out more than one bottle of water.
- They made no extra effort for us considering we were there for a wedding. Other guests received flowers and wine for example; Ilioperato did nothing considering we spent so much money for a big occasion with them.
- The cleanliness of the pool was not great, and there was an unusual smell in one of the rooms
- One of the rooms also had a broken towel rail, not great attention to detail
- Almost every day, they would get our breakfast orders very wrong. It was almost like they were doing it on purpose - we just had to laugh it off in the end.
Ilioperato is cheap, and in a good location - but we won't be back, we will consider other options next time we're in Santorini.

Extremely friendly and helpful owners and staff. Location was fantastic. We were close to what we wanted to be near, but out of the hustle and bustle. Daily breakfast brought to your room. We ate it out on the patio- lovely! We had a couple issues regarding electricity being off for a while one morning and no hot water late in the day but there is no beating the view, location and the kind people. We would stay again without hesitation.

We had a wonderful time in Santorini, this property perfectly met our needs. The location was great, far preferred over Fira or Oia. Beautiful view of the caldera and the sunsets. Staff arranged for our transportation needs, carried our luggage up and down the stairs, and delivered fresh breakfast each morning. I highly recommend!

We loved that the hotel was in a quieter area, yet only a few steps from many restaurants to watch the sunset. The moment you walk along the pathway leading to the hotel you can't help but smile, absolutely incredible views over the caldera, even from our balcony. We felt that we didn't need to visit Fira or Oia, and that Imerovigli and Firostefani had all that we wanted.

Best view
Stay here for the view, one of the best in Santorini. Breakfast served in your room rather than the restaurant area, perhaps because end of season and a bit chilly in the shade first thing. Choose time and meal one day before. Food was good with a decent choice. Could have done with more coffee though. Our room had limited wardrobe space or drawers, whereas our friends room had a double wardrobe. Comunal areas were nice. We would go back again inspite of a few issues. Depending on your room, stairs down are above the room and can be noisey early in mornings or late at night.

What a view
The hotel is right on the edge of the caldera offering fabulous views across Santorini. It is much quieter than staying in Fira and still has many restaurants to choose from, lots of super/mini markets and easy access to the local bus to get around the island. The rooms were spotless, hot and cold breakfast was good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful experience
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and husband’s birthday in this hotel, and so happy we did! Rooms were very spacious and clean, the view was unbelievable, food was great and Roza ( hotel manager) made us feel very welcome and helped us with everything we needed. You can even celebrate your wedding there. Highly recommend and we are definitely coming back on our own and with our families.

Amazing hotel in the perfect location!! There are so many positive things about this hotel. The first being the amazing customer service. Roza was SO friendly and helpful and made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcome. The breakfast (which we had delivered to our private patio every morning) was very fresh and delicious. This was one of my favorite things about the hotel! The views from the hotel are stunning and are perfect for watching the sunset away from all the crowds. We loved the location of this hotel because it was quiet and right on the trail to hike to Oia or Fira. If you are staying here I highly recommend you have a car or ATV. We rented an ATV and it was so easy to get around the island. I 100% recommend this hotel and if we get the chance to come back to Santorini this is the only place we will stay!! Thank you Roza for an incredible experience :)

We love this hotel, it has an excellent view to the caldera and beautiful sunset. We could sit in the private balcony and enjoy the sunset, don't need to go to the crowded Oia for that. The Staff were friendly and helpful, they even went to the parking lot (3 min walk plus some stairs) to get our luggage for us, and they said that's part of their job. The area is quiet and safe but with limited restaurant to choose from. Although Imerovigli has public transportation and buses, but I do recommend renting a car when stay here for better mobility and time management..

Amazing view with warm hospitality
Spent 4 wonderful nights here in August. Roza, and the rest of the staff really went out of their way to insure our stay was perfect and a memorable one. Roza was very helpful during and before our stay by arranging for our transportation to and from the port. She also assisted us with scheduling a wine tour during our stay. Upon arriving I asked where we could get a good view of the sunset that Santorini is known for. Roza told me that the best view was from our patio. She was right. Our room had a patio that overlooked the caldera and faced the sunset. The view was quite stunning. We enjoyed evenings on the patio sipping wine and relaxing after a long day of site seeing. Each morning a wonderful breakfast that we had ordered the day before was delivered to our patio. The property offers, scenic views, a very attentive staff, a romantic setting, comfort and a quiet location. I highly recommend staying here.

Good View of the Santorini Sunset From the Balcony
I stayed at Ilioperato for 2 nights in August 2019. We stayed in the Honeymoon Room so the room was quite large and comfortable.The hotel is in a quiet village and have good restaurants nearby.
The staff were very helpful and attentive. They booked me a taxi that took me to the hotel from the airport and also for my return trip. They were also willing to help me book other tours.
From the balcony of our room, we saw the famous Santorini sunset for 2 days. We decided against going to Ioa where there are hundreds (maybe more) of other people, and you might get pickpocket (I met a guy who was pickpocket while trying to get out of Ioa after the sunset. He didn't realised it at that time because everybody was pushing each other) and have to wait for hours before being able to catch a bus and just watch the sunset from our balcony.
They served breakfast at the balcony, which makes the experience unforgettable. Although, you might not get everything that you ordered because they might not have it in their pantry (but if that was the case, they shouldn't put it as an option).
I only have 1 minor complaint, although to be honest it wasn't such a big problem for me. The electricity at the hotel (?, maybe area, maybe whole of Santorini. I don't know to be honest) is prone to interruption from time to time. The interruption lasted for a fraction of a second so you might not notice it, but it is enough to disrupt the wi-fi in our room.

Knowing next to nothing about where to stay in Santorini, we lucked into Iloperato as a choice. Great staff, perfect views of the sunset and Western side, convenient to Fira Square yet far enough away from the cruise ship crowds to really feel isolated. We had the top floor of their cliff side apartments and the room would have slept 5 easily along with a large patio for sunning and a hot tub as well.

We doubt anyone could find a better place to stay. The setting was picturesque and private, away from crowds, yet convenient. The staff is attentive but never in your way. They go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Our room was clean, comfortable and had the most glorious view of the caldera. The sunset was over the top.

Wonderful stay at Ilioperto
We stayed at Ilioperto for 3 nights on our honeymoon and had a great time! The staff service here is incredible, very personal and down to earth, seems like run by a small family. The hotel feels like an upscale luxury resort, without the prices to go with it. Our room had a private balcony with caldera and sunset views. The pool area was great, the snack bar was useful. Breakfast was provided each morning on our balcony. I cannot speak highly enough about Ilioperto and would recommend for anyone, especially couples. Hotel is about a 5-10min walk to the bus station, and Imerovigli was the perfect place to stay, much quieter than the crazy Fira and Oia.

The only drawback I can think of is the pool is on the smaller side if that’s something you are looking into. However, everything else about Ilioperato was amazing. Ilioperato was fantastic. Amazing views from your private patio, where you'll eat your included breakfast. The place is small so its nice and quiet. Its off the beaten path being in Imervigli. If you want more night life stay in Fira. If you want classic Santorini stay in Oia, but there are lots of tourists. If you want peace and serenity, stay here. The pool was nice with amazing views. The rooms gave you everything you needed. Nothing to fancy, but not old or outdated. The best part about Ilioperato is the service. Roza took care of all our needs. I started emailing with her about 3 months out to coordinate special plans for my fiance's birthday. She did it all. Got flowers and wine for our arrival in the room, made me dinner reservations and called our taxis for us. She provided great recommondations on where to eat and how to get around. Her service is what made this hotel experience top notch. You won't regret Ilioperato.
