Room itself was clean and fine. The only problem we had with the hotel was that they put us in a separate building in a suite they were renting from someone else. We literally couldn't get in the building because somebody had abandoned a bunch of old furniture on the other side of the door used to access the building. We literally could not get into the building until someone moved it. The stairway to the suite did little to instill any confidence in what we would end up with. It just looked like a tired old building. However, the room was new and clean. If you get this room, just be prepared to be disappointed in the building, its cleanliness and decor. The room is actually above some government office.

A relaxing stay

Situated on the water, our views were beautiful. The room was comfortable and hotel servives were excellent. We enjoyed the spa each day, with pools in cavelike settings, saunas, and relaxation rooms. Meals were delicious. We liked walking along the waterfront to the town on a windy day. It was a perfectly relaxing stay.

Friendly staff shame admin not as efficient

Specifically asked for a twin room and for a double, then offered us a twin room over top of the kitchens, them eventually go one which we had to accept with the laundry air pipes just outside our balcony. Check out procedure left much to be desired as we weren't allowed to pay bill in both Kunas and card.

The hotel has nice facilities and the room is comfortable. The location is also very good, in front of the beach, with a guests-only parking and at walking distance to Umag. Stay at Sol Umag

Wonderful area with very pleasant employees, who even tried to speak in Slovenian. A very nice touch that a welcome message with our names was waiting for us in the room. We did miss information in the hotel room about additional amenities that are offered in the hotel - no information regarding the Wellness Center. Unfortunately the sea side view balconies was also turned towards the restaurant, where all guests were able to see who was on the balconies. Otherwise, our stay was great and would return again.

lovely hotel with pool and a beach nearby.

It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Croatia. the junior suite we had had 2 rooms which made holidaying with young children easier. I would suggest rubber type beach shoes as the beaches are nearly all rocky as are the shallow waters. the pool got a bit crowded at times but not usually for long. overall we had a lovely holiday and would seriously consider returning to the same place.

I was playing in the World Super Seniors Tennis Championships, so location was excellent. Although i booked early on arrival i was given a room for a disabled person. My room was changed but had no balcony which i was very annoyed about. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

it's a great location for families; kids love all the entertainments that is offered in the vicinity, kayak, paddle boat, trampolin, pool hockey, etc';

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We had sea view room and it was magnificent. Qualify of food was good and many varieties. Staff was friendly when we checked in and out, also, at restaurant and outside seating cafe. Location of the hotel was great and nice walk along the beach. The outdoor pool was nice too. We enjoyed our stay and we would go back.

A nice Hotel with all you need a a short stay. I would not recommend for any longer than a weekend though, as it's rather limited in what it can offer unless of course you hire a car.

Beautiful Location!!!

Sol Umag is a great place to stay. Just over the border of Slovenia, and quite peaceful. The room had an amazing view of the sea and the staff was extremely helpful. Food in the restaurant was quite authentic and the breakfast/dinner buffet was rather extensive. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a 3-7 night stay!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour . Cependant la chaleur n'ai vraiment pas a la hauteur. Plusieurs interventions d'un technicien pour réparer la baie vitrée. La climatisation ne fonctionne pas, le premier jour tout l'hôtel été en panne de climatisation. Malheureusement les chambres on une baie vitrée plein sud , donc si la climatisation fonctionne, cela ne sert a rien, ia chambre reste avec une chaleur de 28degres, cela est très difficile surtout avec un bb. Le restaurant, le buffet est très basique , les pattes ou le riz avec plusieurs sauces, pour montrer qu il y'a plusieurs plats , mais cela est très basique , le poisson est pas mal. Sinon la bague est très touristique tout les hitei se mélange etc.... La piscine pour enfants et les toboggan sont vraiment top , ainsi que les infrastructures enfants.

Hotel Umag Plava Laguna has very nice beaches (sand and also gravel), pools and a waterpark for kids. Breakfast was great though quite crowded. The room was clean and rather large yet visibly not the newest anymore. Umag is a very safe town super suitable for families with children and overall so underrated.

Laute Baustelle für ein unnötiges weiteres Schwimmbecken. Keine funktionierende Klimaanlage im gesamten Hotel. Vermutlich eine zwangsweise Stromsparmaßnahme auf Kosten der Kunden. Da wäre wohl eine Photovoltaikanlage zeitgemäßer. Platz auf den Dächern und als Überdachung für den Parkplatz mit Stromladestellen wäre ja vorhanden. Bitte Aufwachen Hotelmanager.

So an sich war es gut.

- Nur die Klima Anlage hat das Zimmer nicht runtergekühlt. Wir müssten zu alten Tricks greifen. Das heißt Abends vorm Schlafen gehen das Fenster voll auf machen und Tags über Fenster zu und Formhänge zu. Dann blieb das Zimmer einigermaßen Kühl.

- Die Getränke aus der Zimmer Mini Bar kosten auch extra.

Das Personal an der Rezeption könnte schon Recht gut Deutsch. Und Haben alle Fragen sehr gut beantwortet.

Das Buffet (zum Frühstück und Abendessen) fannten wir bisschen komisch sortiert. Aber sonst eine sehr gute und große Auswahl.

- Was wir bisschen blöd fannten war das zum Abendessen die Getränke-Automaten abgedeckt waren und nicht benutzt werden dürfen. Wenn man was trinken wollte musste man sich was bestellen was man dann zahlen müsste.

Strand direkt hinter dem Hotel. Badehandtuch gibt es beim Bademeister am Strand kostenlos mit eine Karte von der Hotel Rezeption.

Sauberkeit und Hygiene waren so weit sehr gut.

Im nächsten Umkreis waren mehrere sehr gute Restaurants für Mittagessen. Die fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar sind (c.a.900 meter vom Hotel entfernt). Preis Leistung sehr OK sind. Mittagessen war leider nicht zubuchbar beim Hotel.

Das erste Zimmer funktionierte nicht die Klimaanlage es war wirklich nur warme Luft, das zweite Zimmer auch keine Klimaanlage aber etwas Kühler aber dafür behindergerechtes WC. Ich beschwere mich normal nicht aber das war nicht Professional und die Matratzen waren Katastrophe bin enttäuscht😥

Terrible, avoid at any price! Rooms not clean, bathroom not clean, airconditioning in the room not working, not enough chairs on the beach, not to mention the food quality which is just beyond the level of acceptance. This is such an example of mass tourism! Good thing is the personnel of the hotel which is trying to be kind and friendly in this sad environment!

Mit Hallenbad und Sauna, das ist Erholung

Unser Zimmer aus der 3. Etage ermöglichte herrliche Blicke direkt auf das Meer. Einige Besucher nutzen auch noch den Pool draußen und das Meer, während es uns eher ins Schwimmbad innenliegend und in die Sauna zog. Die Veranstaltungsbühne auf unserer Seite des Hauses war um diese Jahreszeit (Okt) nicht mehr in Betrieb. Die Musikveranstaltungen abends fanden drinnen statt und luden zu Cocktails und Getränken bei sehr angenehmen Preisen ein. Insgesamt empfanden wir das Haus nicht als hellhörig. Das Hotel wird von Busreisegruppen wie Einzelreisende mit und ohne Fahrrad genutzt.
Fahrradstation befindet sich gleich gegenüber.

Leider waren wir diesmal sehr enttäuscht. Zimmer sehr klein für eine Familie, Sauberkeit der Zimmer sehr unzufrieden. Frühstück und Abendessen Situation Katastrophe. Personal kam nicht hinterher, haben mir richtig die Leute leid getan. Busse werden inzwischen angenommen und zu wenig Personal dafür. War wir störend fanden das sich die liebe Polizei beim Buffet ob abends oder morgens da mitbedient obwohl sie mit der Anlage nichts zutun haben. Fanden weder andere Gäste toll noch die Kinder. Personal war zwar immer sehr freundlich und bemüht aber das reicht für ein 4 Sterne Hotel leider nicht aus. Werden wahrscheinlich nicht mehr hinfahren

Weekend in occasione del torneo di tennis

Colazione e cena a buffet ottime con orari molto ampi (entrambe dalle 7 alle 10); i vassoi del cibo venivano continuamente riforniti. Hotel fronte mare e vicino ai campi di tennis in cui si disputa il torneo APT world tour. La camera economy è comunque spaziosa, pulita e dotata anche di minibar e tv. È possibile usare gratuitamente il centro benessere per 2 ore al giorno su prenotazione. Alla reception è possibile cambiare euro in kune (i bar, ristoranti e negozietti vari al di fuori dell'hotel non accettano euro, né carta di credito!) Tutto il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, un grazie particolare alla direttrice Franka, attenta a soddisfare tutte le esigenze dei clienti e a Mojca del centro benessere.

Personal übermüdet und zum Grossteil nicht freundlich. Pool sehr unsauber. Zimmer nicht am modernen Stand. Mittlerweile sollten bequemere Betten und ein grösserer Fernseher Standart sein. Zimmer ist auch sehr hellhörig (alte Türen wo unten ein Spalt offen ist). Lärmende Kinder nach Mitternacht am Gang (kann zwar das Hotel nichts dafür aber das Beschwerdemanagement war mangelhaft)
Essen OK mehr nicht. Wenig Abwechslung. Wir waren schon öfters in den letzten Jahren in dem Hotel. Es war aber sicher unser letzter Aufenthalt hier.

Bei Check in netter Empfang. Nach Empfang auf uns allein gestellt. Das Badezimmer war alt und abgenutzt. Bei ersten Betreten nicht richtig gereinigt. Armaturen fleckig und der Heizkörper voller Staub. Wurde aber nach unserer Beschwerde an der Rezeption umgehend erledigt.Der Saunabreich war stark abgenutzt und sehr reinigungsbedürftig. Blumenkübel und Glastische total verstaubt. Von einem Kellner wurden wir einfach ignoriert. Nachdem er dreimal an uns vorbei gelaufen ist haben wir bei seiner Kollegin an der Bar unser Getränk bestellt. Welches dann auch sofort kam. Bedienpersonal ansonsten freundlich aber relativ unorganisiert. Die meisten Mitarbeiter sprachen nur Englisch und Kroatisch. Unserer Meinung nach kein gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Dieses Hotel hat nach unserer Meinung keinen Anspruch auf 4 Sterne!

Hotel ist sauber schön und einfach toll

Wir waren zu dritt 2 Erw. Und ein Kind 2 Jahre alt.wir sind mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden, Zimmer waren immer sauber gemacht und man schläft auch bequem, das Essen ist toll, Halbpension mit Buffet ... man kann essen was und wieviel man will. Es gab auch jeden Abend ein Program für die Kids und auch für die Eltern. Das Pool ist schön und der Strand etva 50 m von Hotel Türen bis zum Wasser. Wir würden wieder kommen, auch Meer Wasser ist schön sauber mann kann tauchen und sieht alles, ( in Italien war das Wasser trüb und schmutzig). Also nur zum empfehlen.

Schöner Urlaub mit Kleinkind

2 Nächte im Hotel Sol Umag Halbpension. Der erste Eindruck war hervorragend.
Der Strand war direkt neben dem Hotel und es gab sogar einen eigenen Sandstrand für die kleinen und großen :-)

Das Essen war nicht so berauschend, viel Fertigprodukte, besonders am Abend.

Das Zimmer, Familiensuite, war ok. Das Bett quietschte zwar schon und der Balkon war etwas schmutzig (Tisch und Sessel) aber so im Großen und Ganzen war es OK.

Freundlichkeit war zu 100% geboten, alle sehr bemüht.

Manko - Wellnessaufenthalt pro Gast und Tag nur 2 Stunden, also für Wellnessjunkies eher nichts. Wir waren immer im Meer, das wirklich sauber war und der Sandstrand sowie der \"normale\" strand sowie so!!

Positiv überrascht. Personal sehr freundlich, Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, Umgebung lädt zum Sport machen ein, viele Möglichkeiten beim Hotel oder in der Nähe. Ein Züglein verkehrt so häufig zwischen Umag und den diversen Hotelanlagen, dass man sich chauffieren lassen kann.
Grosses Wellness Angebot in angenehmer Atmosphäre.

zu viel Lärm im Speiseraum, viele Kinder und Kärntner, die meist sehr laut sind.
Boden des Bases bei jedem Duschen überschwemmt.
Keine Liegen am Betonstrand und wenn man schnell genug ist extra zu bezahlen,; diese sollten statt der Liegen am Pool vom Hotel verwaltet werden: Poolliegen ist nicht jedermanns Sache!!!!

Großes Hotel am Strand

Wir verbrachten 3 Nächte mit HP im Hotel Sol.

Premium-Zimmer: Sehr schön, wie abgebildet. Badezimmer wurde bei Renovierung aber scheinbar vergessen- dieses war alt und entsprechend beinander. Unser Zimmer war leider direkt über der Bühne; abends konnte man den Balkon nicht wirklich nutzen (während der Aufführungen). In unserem Fall wäre deshalb der Gartenblick besser gewesen...

Essen: Sehr viel Auswahl zum Frühstück, Qualität aber eher mau. Nur Automatenkaffee. Wir waren nur 1x am Abend im Hotel zum Essen- wie beim Frühstück: Quantität vor Qualität. Da es ein sehr großes Hotel ist und viele Gäste hatte, war es dementsprechend sehr laut beim Essen. Eher Massenabfertigung und zu wenig Personal.

Personal: Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Außenanlage: Generell sehr schön. Der Pool ist toll! Liegen vom Hotel gibt es leider zu wenige bzw. werden diese nicht- wie von der Rezeption gewarnt- von Handtüchern befreit, sollten sie länger als eine Stunde nicht benützt werden... Die Liegen am Strand sind zwar nicht teuer (20 kuna/tag), jedoch bei weitem nicht so bequem, wie jene am Pool.

Lage: Das Meer ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Mit dem Zug (20 kuna/per) erreicht man die Altstadt in ca. 10 Min.

Sehr schön! Personal sehr nett aber übermüdet. Die Leute arbeiten 14 wenn nicht mehr Stunden am Tag!!! Hotel in groß und ganzen ist OK.
