Just steps from the award-winning Laguna Beach, the newly renovated Umag apartments are a prime location for beach enthusiasts. Pula Airport is about 90 km away.
This air-conditioned apartment hotel offers 134 apartments and everything guests need for a memorable Istrian holiday, including beauty, privacy and convenience. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a 24-hour reception, as well as a hotel safe, currency exchange and a newspaper stand.

Very pleasant for family with kids
At the beginning I was a bit suspicious about price but despite the property was a bit weared off, it was well designed. Spacy, properly airconditioned, offer of clean towels every day. Whole areal quite well maintained and lot of atractions for our kids. We have enjoyed and recommend!

Everything was wonderful experience since we arrived. Greetings and warm welcoming and helpful with any question we had. Perfect location. Clean apartment, every day asked if we need clean towels or any hygienic supplies. Cost for food in local store and in restaurants is reasonable . We are planning to come back next year or definitely am very soon again. Recommend to everyone to visit.

The apartments were right on the amazing family beach, which is not even shown in the pictures of the resort I have seen. It was comfortable and had what we needed. There was no kettle in the room but we called reception and asked for one and it was brought straight to us. The resort is absolutely fantastic, with so much to do. The sea by the family beach where we spent a lot of time is shallow for a long way out and sandy on the bottom, it is ideal for children (ours aged 7+8) to splash about in for hours. There are so many activities, segways, watersports, boats to hire, of course the waterpark on the lagoon. The food in all of the restaurants was amazing. Particularly O Grille.

The apartments are spread out in nice complex however the Kitchen is very basic, no kettle, toaster, oven not even a tin opener. The daily cleaning consisted of a quick brush and clean towels, we had to phone reception after a few days to ask for the floors to be mopped. We found the reception staff rude and abrupt and I don’t think we saw any members of staff smile!
The pool, Laguna and beach areas were good, however you have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas even if you are a guest (20-25 kuna per bed) which was an unexpected expense.

When you see pictures of this accommodation specifically the lovely areal views... this will not be your reality. The coastline is beautiful but spoilt be the masses of holiday complexes and walk to wall people. If you are looking for a holiday shared by thousands of other holiday makers this us for you. Umag city center is beautiful as are distant (30km) hill top villages.

Sofa bed opening mechanism broken. When finally open it had different levels and was like concrete it was so hard. A v nice night porter gave me a fold up single bed instead. He really did try and be helpful. Patio door did not lock. No air conditioning in twin bedroom. No thing to block out light fog person sleeping on fold out couch in living room.
House keeping was a complete joke, just emptied bins and did not replace towels etc.

A large resort but too late in the season.
The resort was very large and I imagine very busy during summer but we stayed on the last weekend that they were open for the summer season so it was dead. Most things inside and outside the resort were shut down for winter.The room itself was fine - had an issue with some lighting and the serviceman was there very quickly. The kitchen needed updating - looked very tired. There were no dish cloths or brushes and no dish washing liquid - so you'll need to bring your own. Not enough utensils and things to cook more than the very basics.

We stayed at Sol Amfora for a week during July 2012, with 2 young children. The apartment was adequate and clean and the balcony with garden furniture was spacious and fantastic. Our apartment was right next to the play park, which meant that we could relax on our own balcony in the evening while our children enjoyed themselves right at our doorstep. The play park also had a soft artificial surface, so I was never afraid that my children might get hurt.
The only down side to the apartment was the fold-out couch that was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on – in fact it was abandoned in favour of the floor after the first night.
The facilities available in the resort were far better than I expected. The two outdoor swimming pools were clean, right next to restaurant facilities and they were never overcrowded. The indoor pool (sweet water) was heaven sent on the one afternoon that it rained during our stay as we were leaving the next day and my children were not done swimming just yet.
There were many different types of beaches to choose from (sandy, rocky, concrete, shallow water, deep water), all within a short walking distance and they were all kept clean.
We also participated in and enjoyed many of the events organised by the resort – all for free and all very well organised.
The only truly disappointing aspect of this holiday was that the week went by so quickly. We will definitely return at some point in future!

Il resort si presenta bene e offre numerose attività che si possono svolgere durante il soggiorno, tuttavia abbiamo riscontrato diversi inconvenienti che non sono stati risolti dalla reception. In particolare, il condizionatore non funzionava e ci è stato detto che avrebbero potuto intervenire solo il sabato, nonostante fossimo arrivati il giovedì. Inoltre, il frigorifero non refrigerava, il freezer non era presente, l’acqua del boiler era sempre fredda costringendoci a fare docce fredde, e abbiamo avuto anche problemi con l’elettricità. Un altro disguido è stato che, pur avendo richiesto già a gennaio appartamenti vicini, ad agosto ci siamo trovati in tre soluzioni distanti tra loro. Da segnalare anche che i letti di uno degli appartamenti non erano puliti.
Non riterrei quindi la struttura all’altezza delle 4 stelle dichiarate: le aspettative non sono state rispettate e, se si fosse presentata come un tre stelle con prezzi più contenuti, sarebbe stato più in linea con quanto offerto. Nel complesso, per un gruppo di amici può risultare un posto accettabile, ma non consiglierei se si cercano standard più elevati.

Freundliches Personal, aber wenn das ATP Tennis Turnier stattfindet, dann ist 9 Nächte nicht an Schlaf nachts zu denken. Open Air Party bis früh 5 Uhr jede Nacht. Super laut, für Familien mit kleinen Kindern völlig ungeeignet. Anlage sonst für Kinder schön, Unterkunft war geräumig, jedoch auch sehr hellhörig.

Der Aufenthalt war bis auf 4 Tage richtig schön. Da wir nicht darüber informiert wurden das dort ein Festival stattfindet, das richtig laut war. Der Lärm ging bis früh um 6.00 Uhr. Sogar das Nachbar Apartment wurde so zerstört (von den Festivalbesuchern) das wir um 23 Uhr die Polizei und die Security kommen lassen mussten. Wenn wir darüber informiert worden wären, dann wären wir nicht zu diesem Zeitpunkt dort hin gereist. Es war einfach unmöglich, Nachts bis gegen früh Party pur (Lautstärke über den normalen) tagsüber Bier- und Partyleichen zwischen unseren Kindern am Pool. Eine unmögliche Situation. Und dafür musste unser Jahresurlaub herhalten. :-(

Si tratta di un appartamento un poo' essenziale e con atrezzatura un poo' datata, ma molto grande e comodo all'interno di un complesso assai grande con spiagga, porticciolo, bar, ristoranti, supermercato. In maggio era tranquillissimo, in estate, se molto affollato, potrebbe essere molto vivo ma anche un po' rumoroso. Non vicino alla cittadina.

Nice Resort near Umag, Istria
Umago is my birth place and I went back, after 28 years, taking children and grandchildren, a group of 3 families for a total of 11 peoples .
Children mostly enjoyed the pools, laguna , soccer, go-kart and other games. We all took the little road train to Umago and visited the old town. My wife and I rented a bike for 3 days and rode all over.
It took me back to my childhood when tourists were few, Donkeys and cows were common on the street and a bathroom at home was a luxuries, The Stella Maris complex was just a small hotel.
Overall, we enjoyed our vacation in Umago and I' sure I will not wait so long to come back.

Die Ferienanlage bietet die unterschiedlichsten Bademöglichkeiten, Kiesstrand, Sandstrand, Felsenküste, Pools für Groß und Klein, sowie eine Marina für Bootsbesitzer. Außerdem ein reichhaltiges Angebot an Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten für Kinder.
Der Touristenzug, mit dem man bequem die Stadt Umag besuchen kann, ist zwar sehr praktisch, aber mit 20,- Kuna pro Erwachsener, und 10,- Kuna pro Kind und Fahrt etwas zu teuer!!!!

Wir waren kurz vor Saisonbeginn 2015 im Sol amfora Hotel. Appartement classic war super und sehr gut gelegen, Strände bieten für jeden was. Essen kann man sich raussuchen. Bisschen blöd war die Umstellung des HP Restaurants auf 19.00 für das Abendessen (für unsre Kleine zu spät). Besonders gefallen hat uns die Freundlichkeit, die überall herrschte. Besonders in der Kinderbetreuung (wir nutzten Club 4). Auch die Kellner in den Restaurants waren kinderlieb und das macht für uns sehr viel Wohlbefinden aus.Insgesamt ein TOP Urlaub- jederzeit wieder.

Plus: Nice, clean appartement ideally suitable for 2 (to 3) persons, reasonable pricing (except for extortionate WiFi prices, buy a local GSM-card which gives you 1 week of internet for 2 hours of their WiFi). SCUBA Diving operator (very friendly and professional and my main reason to stay) and other sports rental on premises or nearby, indoor pool (limited opening hours), Kid´s club/area. 5 minutes by car to Umag central (take a walk along the beach or use the \"train\" which stops at the resort). ATM, small supermarket and some restaurants on site.
Minus: Extortionate WiFi prices. Reception staff considered card payment (on booking of appartement) on Expedia as down payment only and wanted to charge again (needed lengthy discussion on checkout to resolve), if you pay any other way than by card on Expedia the given price in EUR/$/etc will be converted to HRK at a bad exchange rate upon checkin and then your bank charges you again for withdrawal of money in HRK. You have to pay separately quite a lot for deck chairs and sunshades in the pool area, which is rather windy, too.

Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr schön, gepflegt und man findet alles was man braucht. Es gibt verschiedene Cafés, Bars und Restaurants. Das Hotel ist besonders auf Familien mit Kindern ausgerichtet und wenn man einen \"ruhigen\" Platz zum Relaxen suchst, ist das wohl nicht das richtige Hotel. Uns hat es für einen Kurzurlaub sehr gut gefallen und das Hotel Amfora ist für den Preis absolut in Ordnung, wenn man keinen Luxus erwartet! Für eine ganze Woche, würde ich jedoch eine andere Unterkunft wählen.

Fin, lys lejlighed - og vi var heldige at fåe en med god beliggenhed. Rengøringen skuffende - køkkenet var beskidt ved ankomst og 16 døde fluer i vindueskarmen blev ikke flernet i en hel uge til trods for daglig rengøring. Sovesofaen kunne ikke sættes sammen - så den kunne ikke bruges. ALT koster penge - ved den ene pool opkrævede de 100 kr. pr. solstol pr. dag. Maden ved poolbaren var uspiseligt.

Kjempefint anlegg med miniklubb og underholdning hver kveld. Turisttog som kjører hvert kvarter til Umag sentrum (20 kuna for voksne og 10 for barn). Var også mulighet for å leie sykler (15 kuna pr. sykkel pr. time). Flere strender (også sand), med god plass, og fint bassengområde (fra 15 kuna for solsenger). Badehåndklær for basseng/stranda og oppvaskutstyr må tas med!

Vi hade höga förväntningar på hotell och område och är nog lite besvikna. Ett hotell som börjar bli lite slitet, personalen vågade inte ta några beslut då vi hade problem utan allt var tvunget att gå via ansvarig som inte alltid hade tid..
I området finns många öde/fallfärdiga hotellanläggningar och stränder och områdena runt omkring är ganska slitna.
Vi gillar att bada hav men här var det inget bra, barnen gillade inte att det bara var saltvatten i poolerna.

Reinigung nicht vorhanden, nur handtücher wurden getauscht. Küchenausstattung sehr dürftig, keine cafemaschine u. Wasserkocher. Den gesamten aufenthalt hatten wir das gefühl dauernt abgezockt zu werden weil für alles extra bezahlt werden musste. Zb. Strandliegen/poolliegen zirka 13 'a liege/tag. Indoorpool vorhanden jeddoch extra zu zahlen. Internet muss man auch teuer bezahlen (4€/tag)und das in zeiten wo wlan in ganzen städten vorhanden ist u kostenlos zb. Novigrad, rovinj und andere städte in der nähe von umag. Positiv ist das für kinder viel geboten wird. Pools ganz ok wobei bei den einen man ballermann gefühle bekommt. Allgemein sehr laut und wer ruhe und privatsphäre sucht, der sollte diese anlage meiden.

Veldsig fornøyd med hotellet. God aircondition - godt å behagelig å sove. God plass på rommene. Det var en tennisturnering som pågikk da vi var her, som nok var årsaken til festbråk på natterstid - og grunnen til at restauranter var lukket. Utover det er vi veldig fornøyd - og drar gjerne tilbake hit.

Et relativt stort resort med mange faciliteter for \"børn\" i alle aldre, men man får indtryk af at ALT koster penge (leje af liggestole/parasol ved poolen, leg på flydende agilitybane m.m.) og prisniveauet er meget lig det danske.
