Check in was quick. When we arrived at the room there was a dirty towel an an empty toothpaste box left on a shelf. The remote to the tv had no battery or cover. When I went downstairs to complain the front desk was not there. Waited a good 15-20 mins for someone to return. Rooms and doors are not soundproof at all. I could hear everyone in the hallway and the couple next door while they were being intimate. Lots of “suspicious” people in and out of the place.

Check in was easy and quick, but we noted the staff is not always at the desk, so it’s understandable seeing other reviews complaining about a delay in process.

We did bring a plug-in air freshener because ita common for NY hotel rooms to smell like smoke, and it was an AMAZING IDEA. Do this to add ambiance, thank me later. MTA Subway is maybe 2 blocks away (The 1 Train). Theres plenty of small restaurants and shops nearby. Would definitely be staying again. Again, not top tier, but really good for the price in under $200/night.

Do not waste your money, the hotel is in a dirty area of the city. Room was horrible. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Wires sticking out the wall. I booked the room for the balcony and the door was screwed closed and the light didn’t work. We went down to the lobby to speak to the guy about the room and no one was at the desk for like 10 min. Highly would NOT reccomend.

We were there for ComicCon so it was a cheaper option. Very plain when walking in. So maybe more decoration? The rooms were very clean as well as the bathroom. TV options very limited unless you put in your own codes.for streaming channels. It was a bit further from the convention center than we wanted but it worked for the one night we were there. The woman that was working was very nice.

Unfortunately, we didn't find the room and hotel to be in very clean condition. The water pressure was extremely low, and the floor was dirty when we got in. The AC was also not working, so the balcony door saved us. The phone in the room was broken.
The staff did what they could to help and were very accommodating and friendly, but the price of this hotel is way too high for what you get for a room.

Bed bug bites all over me the next day. In the morning as soon as the sun rose there were these bugs flying all over the room. I have no idea what they were but they kept landing on me and it was gross. I showered and left as soon as I could.

The bed is horrible! It’s really like a thick cot, it’s very squeaky any move you make. My blanket had stains on it. They did remake my bed with new sheets and blanket. The baseboards are DIRTY! The curtains didn’t close all the way, the whole thing wasn’t connected to clips.

It was a terrible stay! The staff was extremely rude. They gave away my reservation, told me there no accommodations, and then gave a walk-in an hourly rate room, while I stood there in the lobby communicating with hotels.com customer service. They only gave me a room because proof of my call, and my notifying hotels.com. The room was not clean when I entered it. I took pictures, but my phone was stolen while I was sleeping! Don’t chance it!

Pictures are misleading as they only show the “cleanest” parts of the hotel. The hallways reeked of weed, bed sheets and pillowing coverings were stained, and there were many flies in the shower. Also, my door to my room wouldn’t lock, so without even using the card key, the hotel room was easily accessible to anyone until I brought it up to the workers’ attention. Although they were able to fix the issue, the hotel needs many upgrades in order to receive better reviews.

The hotel wasn’t at all what was advertised on hotels.com or Expedia. The pictures on the websites had a nice view and the bedrooms looked comfortable. That wasn’t at all what we saw when we arrived. The elevator is broken and smells really bad. The tv and appliances don’t work. The plugs on the wall are coming off. The room had questionable stains all over the walls and there is a circuit breaker in the room that guests can access which is dangerous. I laid in the bed for an hour and I got itchy bites all over my legs. The hotel staff was very rude when we arrived. They forced us to pay cash when they have a clear sign that says they take card. We were aware of the fee to check in early but they never made it clear that it was cash only. They forced me to use the atm which gave me an extra service charge. This hotel shouldn’t be open as a place to stay.
