This is my hotel whenever I travel to Edgewater/NY. I love the convenience of not being in New York, but 1 20 minute Bus ride to New York. The bus stop is located right across the street from the hotel. The staff is always polite and I appreciate walking into a building that smells wonderful. My room is always clean and tidy. I will always stay at the comfort Inn when I am in the area!

Very courteous staff and great location. Came in after 11pm, the floor (3rd floor) and room smelled of wet carpet/mold, and it wasn’t the room we chose; we were too tired to complain to ask for another room or floor then we left early the morning and didn’t come back til late, had to sleep with a mask on because I have allergies. Went to other floors to check and they all smelled better/clean.
Would stay there again but would make sure to check the room and floor for any moldy smell.

Loved the room’s view. Definitely waterfront with lovely sunrise and sunset views. It was a good size for our family. The next door guests were loud for a couple of hours from the outside. We were still able to sleep tho, we don’t mind. The front desk people were kind and the people in charge for the breakfast were really nice too. Overall it was a pleasant stay for a weekend with breakfast included.

No support from reception staff. They asked me to bring physical cash for security deposit wouldn’t accept my husbands credit card. No where before the stay they asked me to bring two forms of ID and ID Should match that on the card you are paying from. I had to try three ATMS all of them were temporarily broken. Told hotel receptionist no help from him atall. I finally had to go to money gram to get physical cash. I offered payment through various ways like Apple PAY , credit card he said they don’t accept any of that. At the end of the day all this for 100$ security deposit which I will get back tomorrow. What an utter shame. I will never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. They don’t care about the guest’s comfort atall.

Breakfast area was very small, first morning they ran out of everything at 9:30. It was very crowded and just poorly designed.

They have these scent boxes in the hallways that diffuse the STRONGEST scents (not bad but tooooo strong) if you are sensitive to smells stay far away from this hotel.

The pillows on the bed are essentially throw pillows and not a normal size your sleep on? I was so confused and when asked about it the front desk attendant said we weren’t the first to ask about that but there was nothing they could do.

The place with overall good, yet, I struggled for 2 days with Connecting the TV to the internet. The stuff came twice to help but that was not very helpful. Also, the plug of the microwave and the fridge stopped working on my first night and it stayed like that for a whole day which made me lose the frozen food that I bought for my little son and I was not compensated for that.

I am very disappointed with my stay. I reported a bathtub issue twice, but it was never fixed. When Hotels.com contacted the hotel to discuss compensation, the hotel denied the problem entirely. Not only was the issue unresolved, but the staff also chose to lie about it.

I booked a room with a river view but was given a view of the parking lot. I went to the front desk and she told me that’s what I booked. The picture on your sight was a view of the water. The front desk made me pay extra money to change my room to a view of the water. That is what I paid for already. Won’t come here again ever.

As an avid traveler, I greatly value convenience, local insight, and hospitality. This property is ideally situated near excellent dining options and a phenomenal spa, making it a promising choice for both relaxation and exploration.
While the staff were friendly and welcoming, I was disappointed by their lack of knowledge about the surrounding area. Upon check-in, I inquired about the restaurant located within the plaza. Not only was the staff member unfamiliar with the name, but he was also unable to recommend a single dining option nearby. While I can understand not recalling the exact name of a specific establishment, being entirely unaware of the local dining scene is, in my opinion, unacceptable—especially in such a well-positioned location.

A more informed front desk team would significantly enhance the guest experience, particularly for those of us who enjoy discovering local gems during our stay.
