You get what you pay for, but is amazingly located!
I like to start with PRO’s. Greatly located, a block or less away the 96th station lands. Less than a block you have a Starbucks, a local coffee shop, Paris Baguettes, Breakfast and Panini place (two blocks), frozen yogurt, and on the corner a Walgreens with everything you need to buy to clean, desinfect your room, your hands (while on the subway), and water/snacks for the room. Two and a half blocks away is Central Park on the nice part to begin with, and two blocks the opposite direction riverside park (gorgeous walk). The STAFF was very kind, but you only got to interact with them during checkin and checkout, or when requesting room service.
The room was comfortable (3 star quality) and had a lot of channels in the tv to watch. The lamps were awesome because had many plugs to charge your devices.
Now the CON’s… The building could use some updating and maintenance. Rugs looks old and bit dirty (need professional work or renewal). The bathtub would clog consistently, the door needed smashing in order to close, the AC made so much loud noise to cool the room, NO small fridge nor Microwave (so good luck bringing any expensive leftovers from the restaurant). The elevators got messed up a few times.

Get what you pay for. Good place to shower and sleep, greatly located, but not fancy at all. If they renewed the rooms, this place would be fantastic!! The location is what makes it.

This was a place to sleep, in a great location. We had the ability to drop our luggage off early and check in early for a fee.

Outside of that, the rooms were cramped, furniture cheap, items rusty/worn, and there were no amenities to speak of.

Walls were gross, stained and had lots of chips and cracking. I don't necessarily care about the wall or the flooring but presentation was poor. The bathroom was very dirty, the bathtub had dirt in it and the shower head was basically falling out of the wall. There was no fridge so you couldn't bring back food or drinks to keep cold. AC was nice and the bed was comfortable. Again though, the sheets were dirty and there were bugs and flies.

Room with old carpet, walls torn to pieces with some crazy marks and holes on them. The door was so jacked up you could see outside the room to the hallway. The bathroom was so small it was hard to close the door inside the bathroom. Water took forever to get hot. AC barely worked. Old outdated room that was in bad need of repairs. Forget using the bathroom, the toilets won’t flush.

Appreciate the larger room- rare in NYC. Great location, and an amazingly helpful desk staff. Close to varied eating options and a nice grocery in addition to steps from the Metro. Great walk to Columbia and easy subway access. Such a bargain!

The rooms are neat and clean. It's a no frills hotel but it has everything you'll need. All the amenities were new and functioned great - AC, TV, lights, furniture, bed, linens. The bath was sparkling clean and recently renovated. Staff is helpful and attentive.

Awesome staff. Very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Additionally, we asked them to keep our bags, 7 total, on our check out day because our flights were evening departures. They didn't even hesitate. They kept them and still treated us like we were still booked in the hotel for that evening even though we checked out at noon. Great people and I highly recommend a stay for anyone visiting NY.

Lack of cleaning/dusting in the lobby.
Lift floor filthy for 3 days (not vacuumed).
Room light switches were grubby.
Room reeked of cannabis! Staff offered to spray it but frankly, the smell would not have gone away. It was present for 4 days!
Nice toiletries, room was made up daily, fresh water supplied & towels changed.

AC was loud and not sufficient to fully cool the room, but not terrible.
Convenient to 96th Street subway. Staff was very friendly.

We loved the proximity to the subway. The pizza and Stromboli place a block down was amazingly delicious, friendly, and easy. The movie theater was down only 10 blocks on 84th and Broadway.
The carpet, and air conditioner needed cleaning. Faucets never turned fully off. They didn’t have conditioner but the shampoo and body wash smelled nice.
We used SpotHero for parking.

There are restaurants and a Duane Reade in the area.

There is also a Catholic church in the vicinity.

I will definitely be staying here again! The bed was comfy and there was no noise from the streets. I stayed in room 1223 and it’s right next to the elevators with a king bed. The ac was cold and stayed on for extra white noise which I love because it helps me sleep. The Throwback restaurant and bar is out the front door of the hotel and take 2 lefts. It’s a great spot to watch sports and eat.

The location is amazing. Near to the subway for a quick ride to Times Square. But everything you need in walking distance. Near to la guardia airport. Rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need. I would stay here again.

Gold tier room on floor 7 was clean, staff was helpful and nice. The neighborhood its in felt safe enough, and was walkably close to central park, several kinds of food, and several subway lines.

Beds were soft, clean. AC worked nice. Bathroom was clean, shower pressure fantastic.

If I had to be picky and give criticism, I'd say I wish they had conditioner as well as shampoo. My hair tangles :(

The room and linens were clean no stains or tears. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Air Conditioning worked very well. Kept our room cool. Parking is expensive but you can get a discount from the hotels front desk. Park in front, unload luggage, get parking coupon and go park in a garage a block away. Convenient burger had to pay $119 for two days. Ouch!

The reason our lower rating was because we paid 100% via Hotels.com and we still had to pay $40 upon arrival. This seems unethical and sneaky.
This hotel is convenient to everything one way or the other.

The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The staff is really nice and helpful. The lobby is beautiful. The Upper West Side has parks, restaurants, stores, entertainment, ice cream shops, and more. The subway is two blocks away. I am very glad I chose this hotel for my vacation!

Air conditioning was like sitting next to a running lawnmower all night, wife could not sleep and had headache the next morning, cancelled the rest of the nights and moved hotels waisting half a day of the vacation. Bathroom looked like a horor movie set, had not been refurbished in 20 years.

The staff was very nice and they let us check in earlier at no cost. However, the hotel is very old and several things didn’t work like the exhaust fan in the restroom. They had only one small table in the room and that wasn’t enough space to put our stuff on, specifically in the bathroom!

Great location - right around the corner from 96th St subway station - no. 2 express train to Times Square - good for a lower priced hotel - decent lobby - elevator was very warm and carpets show a lot of wear - window air conditioner worked well with 90 degrees outside but it is the typical window AC noise - great walk in shower. Basic room, dorm-size fridge, 2 free water bottle - No pictures on walls and clear plastic chair at the small desk. But it’s a lower price hotel

Staff were outstanding. The building is older so of course there are cracks in the walls but it seems to be well maintained nonetheless.

Air conditioning was ice cold!

Perfect accommodations on the upper west side if you prefer a little quieter than the hustle and bustle of midtown.

Although the staff ran into some technical difficulties with the credit card reader, and the elevators are a bit small and claustrophobic, the staff was clearly dedicated to helping their customers check in and have a relaxing stay. I'd recommend this hotel to travelers looking to stay on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, or looking to see a Broadway show and stay overnight in the city.

Room was fine, small but not a shoebox; bathroom door was unable to be fully locked but since I was travelling with a close friend, we did not have an issue with it. Desk in room had outlets to charge phones/ computers, but we had a hard time using it. After adjusting the cables it did eventually work, but it took a while to fully charge. Quiet area, super close to central park which was so nice! Elevator is old and sort of slow.

Not realllyyy close to TMSQ walking distance for people who are new but IF the trains are running properly super easy to get there. Unfortunately when we went they were but ubers and taxis easily available.

Had trouble navigating to the ice machine on the 9th floor, but otherwise everything was fine. Close by to subway and plenty of food options. Made staying in the city much easier.

The room was swept, and the beds were clean, unlike many other reviews. That's the only good thing I can say.
One elevator was broken so the wait time to go to the lobby reached 8 minutes during busy times (night/mornings). Our bathroom had a broken section out of the vanity, and the shower continuously switched back to running bath water. The blind was broken and wouldn't roll down. The TV didn't work, and the staff offered no recourse for fixing it. There also isn't daily housekeeping.
The neighborhood is a little sketchy, with industry right beside the hotel. It's on a busy highway, so even though the water is right across the street, you can't get there without crossing 8 lanes of heavy traffic.
Breakfast was available, but substandard.
Considering prices of other hotels in New Haven, I still think it was worth it, but as my husband pointed out, you absolutely get what you pay for.

The best thing about this property is its excellent location. The subway is only about a one-minute walk away, and Central Park is around 10 minutes away. There are also many good coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Despite the convenient location, the prices in the area are quite reasonable. Overall, it was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay.

A great deal for the location. Old hotel, decor looks worn, but everything was very clean and room was freshened up daily. It was nice to have the little fridge and coffee maker in the room (I used the hot water to make pour-overs with my own device). Just a block from the subway, lots of good food options nearby. Would stay again if traveling solo and not spending much time in the room (small and AC unit in room was a bit noisy, so not a romantic space).

I chose our stay in New York in this hotel because of the reviews from other customers! And I didn’t make a mistake ‼️
First of all: the location, location, location!!!
Close to everything ‼️‼️‼️ Whether it is food, crime safety or amazing great sightseeing. Second: very friendly stuff, starting the first employees at the front desk up to the cleaning lady!!!
Third: the quality of bedding, quality of bathroom supplies, yes, I am not joking, I was pleasantly surprised by everything in the bathroom, from the quality and whiteness of plenty of towels all the way of quantity of standard toiletries and specifically the smell of shampoo and body wash, don’t lough,it’s important to me…
Overall, to be honest, for the price we paid for two days. It was a find!!!
For those who wants to find a nice, convenient and not(!) overpriced place to stay and enjoy the city that “never sleeps”, go for this Night Hotel Broadway, you won’t regret 👍🥰

Night Hotel is a convenient & budget friendly option. The staff is very nice. There are updated rooms & old school rooms which are comfortable & clean, but shabby. If you are on a budget & like the UWS, this hotel is just fine.
I find it quiet and clean and the staff is nice. If you get a room that hasn’t been updated, just focus on the clean bathroom, comfortable bed and peace & quiet. I find the rooms rather roomy for NYC as well.

Room was okay. It took twenty minutes for the water got warm. It was filthy under the bed and corners No full length mirror. Four elevators at any time one, two or three were out of use. Room was on the 10th. Very noisy outside thru the night.

Staff was pleasant. Room was cleaned and bed made, towels refreshed. Staff at front doors were extremely friendly and helpful.

Probably won’t come back. Elevators and cold water were biggest concerns.

Wish there was a fridge in the room and a little more updated however the location was excellent. The garage where we stored our car for the weekend was a block away and the subway was right outside our hotel. Highly recommend.
