Good experience. Would stay again. But the hot chocolate and breakfast ran out and for a short time we ran out of hot water. Otherwise a very pleasant and safe stay.

Would go again for the price. (Under $100) Friendly staff and walking distance to restaurants. Clearly, a lot of basic updates needed and TLC. Feels neglected (no ceiling fan in bathroom, uneven tile on floor). Things are worn and often clearly a bit dirty looking. If you aren’t too picky, it was comfortable and basics adequate.

Overall, not impressive accommodations. It was clean but the room was small (2 queen beds). The shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty and window blind was broken. No waffles available on the first morning, even though all the fixings were set out for them. Juice machine out of order. Parking was adequate.

The young lady working the desk on Sat afternoon/evening (April 4) was EXCELLENT! She helped me so much. She told me where the dryer was and broke a couple dollars into quarters for me. She was just very friendly, helpful and was cleaning the lobby with a broom. She deserves a raise!!

I was surprised there is a pool. I didn't have time to use it or the gym but it looked great. Our room was clean and the welcome snacks brought me joy. I have been in other more popular hotels with less friendliness and no snacks. I was quite pleased. I was pleased with the offering of breakfast. I would like to give kudos to the person who was managing breakfast on Sunday morning because he handles the homeless person very well. He could have been rude and nasty but he wasn't. Had the person cleaned up behind themselves or been a little thoughtful, I don't think the gentleman worker would have even said anything to him. Compassion and not because people were watching.

Larkspur has seen better days. It is in need of a major rehab. It is currently a one-star property with a three-star price. The staff was great. My first room had broken floor tiles in the bathroom, major stains on carpet, missing bedding. Second room, after a switch, was better, serviceable. The breakfast was minimal at best. I had booked this place for graduation, but after staying, I cancelled and booked elsewhere. Sorry Larkspur.

Stayed here while visiting a family member at U of M Hospital. Only stayed to sleep and shower. Convenient and easy to get back and forth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. I have to say that the room and bathroom were one of the cleanest I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. And that’s something that is very important to me when traveling. The hotel isn’t the newest and fancy but the cleanliness makes up for it. I always say I only need clean and comfortable and this place met my needs very well. Will definitely stay here next time we are in town.

Also the Continental breakfast was very disappointing. No juice, no consistency In refilling the hot food. Some days there wasn’t any breakfast at all. Some days the breakfast was put away before it was supposed to end and or late getting set up. Blinds were broken I the room and the security latch was broken off of the door. The cleaning staff were very helpful and accommodating. They were the highlight of the stay. Two of the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The other two not so much. Overall I would rate the whole experience at 2.5 stars. Definitely lots of room for improvement especially in the customer service department.
Oh and one more thing…. They charge a $25 dollar per night incidental fee which you know nothing about until you check in. So if you stay 10 days you have to pay an additional $250 with your credit card that can take up to 2-5 business days to be put back on your card after checking out!

I was given keys to room 420, when I reached the room there were dirty linens on the ground in front of the door, & the door was propped open. I did not even bother opening the door all the way. I just went back to the desk. Upon arriving at my second room assigned 436, again the door was propped open by a dirty washcloth although the room did appear to be clean. I called the desk and the person had no explanation as to why this was happening nor did they offer any compensation other than another room. I agreed to just stay in this room as I really just wanted to get in shower and sleep as I was staying local to my work d/t weather. I have stayed here multiple times over the past few years & will never return.

The hotel was old and the carpet in the hallway was obviously stained. My tv didn’t work but the maintenance guy was very nice and fixed it. I noticed the next morning that my bathroom hadn’t been completely cleaned. I left the door open because it was just me and really only had to wash my face before sleeping. I got in later in the evening. In the morning I went to shower and found a used towel hanging behind the door and there was a used soap bar in the shower and several hairs left behind. I looked past the carpet and tv issue but the bathroom was my biggest issue. I didn’t complain because the front desk girl was very helpful and polite. If my family had come with me I would have complained.

There was no breakfast food available or anywhere to sit in the poor excuse for a dining area. After about 25 minutes someone brought out some disgusting scrambled eggs which we passed on. When we arrived, people were shouting in the entryway and in the parking lot which was in terrible condition with huge potholes.

The reason I'm giving this hotel 3 stars is the reasonable price and convenient location to the north part of the campus of U of M. As for the quality of the rooms and property it's just ok. Worn around the edges for sure. Currently their pool and spa are out of order with no comment on if and when repairs will happen, so if that is important to you, call before booking. I have stayed here 3 times in the past 18 months, and twice we had to call maintenance for issues with the room, which they did take care of same day. Breakfast is what you would expect from a lower priced hotel--hit and miss. I will stay here again because of the price and location. And because I did feel the property was safe and secure.

The price is very good and for the comfortable ambience of the hotel it is now my favorite hotel in Ann Arbor and will be where I stay again the next time I travel to Ann Arbor solo.

The room was clean enough but the door was all beat up, the mini blinds were all broken(which in turn made sleeping in on vacation impossible). We asked for room service on saturday and never received it. Breakfast on Saturday was only bacon. Nothing else was on buffet. The restaurant was not open at all. Front desk staff was very friendly.
