My husband and I stayed here because he was having medical treatment at the UC Davis Medical Center and this hotel was on the hospital shuttle route. Hotel staff were wonderful, helpful, and cordial. Unfortunately, the heating/cooling system kept us uncomfortable and unable to get a good night's sleep before my husband's procedure: without AC room was too hot; with AC on there was cold air and noise blasting us awake. A small table in the room that the two of us could sit at would have been extremely helpful. The website noting \"2 restaurants\" on site was misleading; the \"grab and go\" option was definitely not a \"restaurant;\" finding gluten-free / sugar-free options was very difficult; it would have been good to have a menu for the Bistro on the website. The \"kitchenette\" was a small refrigerator and a microwave; I had brought along oatmeal to prep for my breakfast, but there was no way to do that although I tried using one of the paper drinking cups.

Great Staff, Great Location!

Friendly staff and great facility were appreciated. But the main selling point for us was the great location; so close to UC Davis Medical and Shriners Children’s Hospital. Having a nice space to go back to between the kiddo’s medical appointments has been such a relief! The staff at this location understand a lot of guests are involved with the nearby hospitals for medical and are super accommodating & understanding.

Probably one of the worst hotels we have stayed in - we were staying after a hospital procedure and the heat/air unit was soo loud it sounded like a plan taking off - which kept coming on all throughout the night. It was awful - then the room above us was loud as well. For 300$ it should have been alot nicer and quieter especially since it is right at the medical center. The food was good and staff was very nice but the stay was awful

Attention is needed in the area of cleanliness. This property is dirty, the elevator was dirty, I was highly disappointed on the lack of attention to details with the cleanliness. I have stayed 20-30 mins away at a competitor and their property was clean and quiet. The construction on the 4th floor is very distributive, my room was on the 3rd floor and the noise from the construction on 4th floor was horrible.

I have stayed at this hotel quite a bit and will continue to do so whenever I have medical appointments at UC Davis that requires I stay overnight. This hotel is within the UC Davis campus, which is really convenient for those getting medical care and traveling great distances. This trip, the hotel is starting to show it's age. The television system would not turn on, requiring a technician to rewire the system, and then it would not turn off. I had to disconnect the AC power to the TV to shut it down. The elevators are getting creaky and noisy. Parking used to be free, now there is a fee. The food from the Bistro is simple, but very good and remarkably not over priced. Staff has always been great.

Hotel was in good condition. Parking is not free and is paid separately. Breakfast is not free. I opted to buy breakfast thinking it was a buffet because one of the emails said \"buffet.\" It is not. You order from a very limited menu and then wait for your food. Total ripoff. Staff was meh.

We were there for one night, and for room 236, they had previous knowledge that the shower handle to turn on/off was an issue and it broke. Also, the phone charging station on the night stand closest to the bathroom did not work at all for the usb and both plug ins. There was no pillow for the pull out bed either. We were moved to 336 after 10pm and there were no sheets for the pull out bed, so had to request, but there was a pillow. The shower drain flooded/backed up when we simply turned the water on and during showering. It was not a good experience given we were only scheduled for one night.
I would also suggest installing quieter a/c units; they are so loud and makes it difficult to sleep.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Snack bar is terrible and expensive. Got a breakfast to go and opened the box to find everything jumbled in the box. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast. No wrap or plate. Just a pile of parts for a meal. Strange.
