Parking is funky, you park in a garage next to the hotel, handicap parking is NOT near the elevator to the hotel. NO microwaves in rooms and ice machines are only on even numbered floors. Wasn't told you have to \"flash\" your room key for elevator to work.

When we requested more towels and pillows, they were brought up immediately. Great place to stay! Have stayed there numerous occasions. Front desk staff member was easy to work with, very personable.

The room was clean and comfortable except for the desk chair. It was very heavy and hard to move. It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the room for leftovers and drinks. The food at the Cafe Bernardo was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Watching the hockey game on the wall in the bar was really fun!

Did not have breakfast. Nila (spelling?) at the front desk in the evening was super welcoming and helpful; a real highlight of my stay/experience.

I also appreciate the reservations person I spoke to about room location; he explained the pros and cons of the front (freeway facing) and back sides of the hotel, so I was able to choose the quieter side (and on the 4th floor was igh up enough to have a bit of a view).

The chairs in the room are hard and the desk chair in particular is very uncomfortable. It's also unusual these days to hae a desk that does not adjust in height. I could not sit in the desk chair for more than an hour and kept alternating between the arm chair (more comfortable, but too low) and the desk chair.

The fact that parking is in a public garage and not secure was not at all clear in teh descripton of the hotel, and is a major disadvantage, especially for a solo woman traveller and someone who had additional plans and therefore items that needed to stay in the car.

The location of the hotel is very mixed - capitol mall moving away from the freeway is nice and feels pretty safe, but 28th st and N street do not.

Love this hotel overall for business. Clean and modern with great food and super friendly staff. Only small drawback is depending where your room is, it can be a little noisy and there is not a mini fridge in every room. Otherwise, great place to stay in midtown Sacramento!

Right away the customer service at the front counter was amazing. We sat the bar for a couple drinks & apps. It was all great service! Then we also chose room service & the breakfast sandwich was an absolute winner! So pleased since I’d had been wanting to stay. I am a local but stayed due to a concert at Golden 1. It was one of the worst check in procedures I’ve ever experienced. The person who was checking us in was very rude during the process of checking in. Also, the room that we had reserved was not ready because it had not been cleaned yet. Even though we had a 3:00 pm check in and didn’t arrive until 4:45 pm.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone based on the rude employee that checked us in and the fact that the room I had reserved was not cleaned prior to my arrival.

Property was ok. We had room from Thursday- Monday it was cleaned one night, Thursday only. Rest of the stay we never got any room cleaning, towels or room cleaning at all. The shower gel/soap was empty yesterday am shower in the am. We talked to the cleaning staff and said we would be out of the room for the day at 10:30 am. Terrible service for the price of the stay

Check in was at 3pm. We waited in the lobby for 2 hours until our room was ready. When we got to our room, it was a King Size bed for 3 adults. We had to be moved and we were late to our concert which was the purpose of our stay.

The bar staff and servers were stellar as was Javay on of the employees at the check in desk. They were all explemerary.

The price of the room combined with all of the inconveniences ensure we will not stay here again.

Best Possible Stay during Medical Crises...

OMG...can't say enough good things about the Fort Sutter, both hotel and staff (every level). Had to stay multiple nights as my husband was in CCU at Sutter Medical Center (10 days). Every person I dealt with was personable, professional, compassionate, and understanding. Did everything possible to make my stays, during a very stressful time, as pleasant as possible. Great is an understatement, they were OUTSTANDING!!!

Hotel was clean, front desk reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed in the amenities and the restaurant. I generally stay at the Hyatt a few blocks away, but decided to try this hotel because the ratings were higher and the price was less. The room had a \"cheap\" feeling, there was no fridge in the room which I needed and assumed would be available. I had to hunt down ice, the bar staff was short staffed or something, and the service at the restaurant was worse. I typically dont leave bad reviews, but this stay just left a lot to be desired considering all the \"excellent\" reviews.

The property was very clean and the area wasn’t bad were didn’t feel unsafe walking around with our children…. The food in the restaurant was very good, staff was very polite
The hotel went the extra mile and honored my request of early check-in because we were exhausted with the kids and I later asked for a different room because the one we got was accessible room. The switched us with no complaints.
I will definitely stay there again… paid parking garage was convenient next to the hotel. $18/24hrs .

This has become our go-to hotel when staying in Sacramento. A bit higher price for the stay, definitely - and the parking garage for parking just feels sketchy. But rooms have consistently been clean, are decently sized, there’s decent breakfast options nearby, hotel bar has well prepared beverages.

A newly remodeled hotel/motel in a business part of town. The neighborhood was a little dicy if I'm being honest. I walked my GS dog around the block before dark. We encountered some drug paraphernalia on the sidewalk & didnt go out again after dark.
