The hotel is exactly what you need to stay in Seaside Heights. Pretty clean for a simple beach hotel, no fuss, just a straight forward place to stay. Bring beach towels, skincare and toiletries. You are really paying for the location. Located right on the boardwalk around the corner from the Jersey Shore House with a free parking pass provided at check-in, shopping, rides and games. Perfect for my family's 2 night stay.

Overall, it was a great experience staying the two days. Room was comfortable, great
View of the ocean and boardwalk. Bed was very comfortable. The only problem was in bathroom, very hard to get temp adjusted in shower and shower door was hard to keep closed, otherwise no problems at all with room.

Muhammad at the front desk was amazing! We were able to check in early for a small fee as well as upgrade to a larger room for a small fee because we added an extra person with us last minute! He was great about working with us to make sure we had what we needed! The room was a great size for a quick trip & was stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely return when coming back to seaside!

the (732)793-1735 number does not work or no one answers but I received a call back from a Mr.Muhammad who was very friendly, accommodating & very helpful. the rooms are clean but very cramp & there are no closets or places to hang clothes. only other furniture in the room were 2 nightstands with a lamp with 3 small drawers & a desk with no chair. we stayed in a very nice single bed room during a very cold & very windy rainstorm. outside cold air leaked thru around the A/C unit below the window. there was no heat in the room but an electrical space heater was provided, which needed to be set on medium or low, or else it may trip a circuit breaker, which happened during our stay. the walls are thin so you may hear the other hotel guests next door & they can hear you. highly suggest to bring extra towels , hand towels & wash cloths. there is parking on the property but very limited to maybe a 1/2 dozen vehicles. on a nice summer day, the hotel is very ideal & conveniently located right on the boardwalk

Love the view from the room. Room is about what I expected. It’s a shore hotel. It’s meant to be a place to sleep and change from beach attire to walking the boardwalk attire. Room was cleaned before I arrived as the smell of cleaning chemicals was very strong. Portable heater in the room as the room didn’t have a permanent source of heat, and even on low the room was comfortable at all times. Fridge was not plugged in when I arrived and I didn’t notice it right away and had a couple things in the fridge for awhile before I noticed. My only complaint is the bathroom had a near constant heavy smell of cigarettes. Check in/check out was a little odd as there was no one present. I arrived early and had business to attend to so I wanted to pay my balance and wait for the room to be ready. There seemed to be some confusion as to what I wanted to do and when I returned later in the day the key was waiting for me. Still not sure if my card ever got run. I often need to find a place to stay in the off season when I have to come to town for business and I can say that I would stay here again. Rates were reasonable and I liked being right on the boardwalk.

The area is great, right on the boardwalk and beach. The room vibe, however, was of cheap used furniture and was built and maintained by an amateur handyman. It was also very small with no extra space available any stuff in the bath, on furniture, or on the floor. We stayed when it was cold and the heater triggered the fire alarm when we turned it on. Not a nice overnight.

We arrived to an open window and 64 degrees inside the room. No heater to warm it up ac units still in window dog next door barked for hours then the owners came home and stomped around upstairs. Very noisy. Impossible to sleep.
The next day the room was warmer because we closed the window Very nosy and can here every sound the the rooms next to you. Probably fine if you’re out late and don’t have kids.

So we just got done with our stay at Hotel Charlie.
The pros. Location is great. It’s right in the middle of the boardwalk. It’s quiet, and we did go in the off season. Easily accessible to the beach. Beds were comfy and clean.
Now for the cons. Where do I begin? Place is run down and the room was dirty. Dust was visible throughout the room. Furniture looks like it has seen its better days. Parking lot can fit 5 cars maximum. There is a parking lot across the street, which they did let me park at. That was pretty small too. I get that it’s the Jersey Shore, and none of the places on the boardwalk look up to par, but this was ridiculous. I also got charged for an extra person at a whopping $116. They would not take the charge off. First night it was myself and my 3 children. Next night it was myself and 2 children. We were located on the 3rd floor so there is one staircase. Fire hazard?? Don’t look for food downstairs, the restaurant was closed the whole weekend. We made the best of the weekend but if I return to Seaside Heights I will definitely search for a different property,

Parking is located 2 blocks from hotel. Rooms are very small, bed was uncomfortable and broken to the point I thought it would crumble underneath us. The room is very small and we kept bumping into things just trying to move around. Bathroom is very small also. Since the room is right on the boardwalk so it is very loud until about 10pm.

It’s right on the boardwalk so if you’re going to be spending time on the beach or boardwalk for any extended period of time it’s very convenient. But it is really just a place to sleep. The rooms are very barebones, just a bed, end tables, a bathroom, and a small tv. It’s my understanding they may be renovating some rooms, but it’s definitely not a room I’d be spending any amount of time in other than to sleep.

We booked 2 nights. $350 CAN. it was absolutely disgusting. We arrived after a 10hr drive. No one was in the office. And when someone finallly came in, they just finished smoking a joint.

We packed up and left at 8am after our first night. We had a 1 yr old and a 4yr old. The hotel was EMPTY and they put us 4 levels up, all stairs facing away from the ocean.
The room was hardly cleaned. Sticky floor from a previous party. Party beads and whistle in the room. A used Qtip on the floor. Sheets of toilet paper under the red bed cover. Our room smelled of cigarettes and weed.
A floor heater hot to touch. So extremely unsafe for kids. Splatter all over the bathroom wall near the sink. Toilet paper stuffed all around the A/C unit that was rotting from the wall. And the beds were on metal futon bases.

Weve contacted expedia to refund our money, but the hotel refuses to answer and return their calls. Its been an awful experience. I would never recommend this hotel and its a shame expedia is allowing a buisness like this to advertise on their site.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been too

Room was dirty, sheets were stained, outlet hanging out of the wall, shower was never cleaned from previous guest. If I was to change in my room, anybody driving by could have seen me through it. Toilet itself was never cleaned and stained. No other lock on the door besides the hotel key we were given (only one mind you) we actually gave them there key back and went down to another hotel 4 minutes away because the place did not seem safe. We also waited 15 minutes in the “lobby” to just get our keys in the first place.

The room is on the 3rd floor. You have to walk up 39 steps to get to the room. The microwave door was broken and it made loud whistling and grinding noises. There was no coffee pot. Toilet paper holder was broke. They gave us two towels and no wash cloths. We had to ask for more.No clock, no phone. No coffee pot. Took 18 minutes to let the shower run for hot water. The only perk of this hotel is that it's right on the boardwalk. Oh, and we found out, its close to the Hersey Shore house.

Amazing view but poor service.

We arrived to an empty office no one greeted us we waited for a while before I finally decided to look up the number and call and they answered and told me the key to the room was left on the counter to grab it and go to my room. Was never given WiFi password, the room was average the tv was small and barely worked. The walls between rooms were paper thin. As my family get ourselves situated because of the lack of sound proofing I guess the guest next to us called to complain because we were walking around in the room and talking.The person who we never met called my personal phone to let me know we are making to much noise and the guest next to us were complaining. We informed him we were just getting situated into the room. The only plus side was that they were pet friendly along with the view of the boardwalk and ocean. When checking out there was still no one in the office so I left the keys on the counter.

Room was listed as deluxe queen. Nothing in actual room resembled pictures on website.
bed was NOT a queen size. Instead of trendy wall shelves there was a somewhat rough beside table.
Mgmt was called and i was informed this was the standard queen size bed in NJ. We were moved to another room with 2 beds, definitely not queen size.
There was no housekeeping services during our 3 nights/4 days. Parking is limited to very small hotel lot.

Positives: The deck overlooking boardwalk was a wonderful perk. The staff was very nice and helpful. The man at the check in office was very hospitable and polite. the room was not as large as i thought, however it was very clean so i wont complain. the only complaint i do have is that the parking was very inconvenient. beyond that, the location was great and the staff was delightful to speak with. would recommend to anyone who wants a few nights on the boardwalk

The room was board walk level and looked clean and updated but with non-updated furniture and appliances. the toilet seat was bigger then the toilet and there were no hooks shelves counter space to put toiletries towels etc. The tp holder was non accessible and not in use so paper stayed on the back of the toilet. The staff was accommodating, and the room was safe. The room definitely needs work to make it more functional and cozier. the room also needs a microwave and coffeemaker. As stated in the room accommodations. overall the price to the room was satisfactory. Thank you.

I payed for a “deluxe” queen bedroom got there they gave me a two full bed room, not what I wanted when I brought this up they than tried to give me a single bed room claiming it was the deluxe queen which in fact just had a single full bed, room was dusty and dirty. Things broken no toilet paper roll holder toilet was dripping and leaking. Also so those know if Somone really wants the see through the window the blinds suck and have no true privacy. Convenient to the boardwalk obviously being it is on it, but could definitely find better for the price.

Went with a couple of friends. The room was very small. Not at all worth what I paid. Not at all like the pictures. No microwave or coffee maker. The door to the bathroom would not close easily. Nowhere to hang up your wet towels or bathing suits. And only 1 mirror for 3 people to use getting ready for the day. On the plus side- the room was very clean. Plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo was provided. The staff is very friendly.

It is right on the boardwalk and roof top view was awsome to see fireworks and the ocean. TV wouldn't shut off, had to unplug it and the volume was blasting and remote didn't work. The bathroom door needed to be cut on the bottom because the door had to be pushed to shut and open. Shower was gross, needed a good scrubbing.

Parking is very tight but at least you don’t have to pay for it.
The balcony is public like any one can just be on it no privacy / romance.
The walls are thin and you can hear people breathe.
People outside get loud and make it hard to sleep- don’t bring small kids lol.
The rooms are just that a space for 2 beds a mini fridge microwave bathroom and dresser- nothing extra.
Staff was nice no issues.
I didn’t see any roaches, I did look for them.

On arrival, property manager did not greet us. He called to figure out the room is open and key is on bed. There was no trash can, burn holes in bed sheets. Bed felt like a pull out couch frame and mattress. There was food left in the fridge from previous guests. We had to ask about wifi and it was terrible service and was for the Sand and Surf motel next door. It was the worst experience I’ve had. We we’re out most of the day, but the time we we’re there. I wish I wasn’t.

This property was an absolute disappointment. When we arrived we were given a room in a totally different motel across from the motel we booked. The pictures did not represent what the room looked like at all. It was outdated, had a very small bathroom including the shower, the beds were most uncomfortable and the blanket provided was rough and thin. The amenities that are listed for the room are not all actually provided. This was not worth the price we paid, especially after the peak of the season. The staff was very kind and friendly. That was the only positive thing about our stay.

We loved the location and proximity to the boardwalk and beach. Parking was sketchy - we had a large vehicle so they sent us to a small parking lot three blocks away. I ended up paying $30 to park in a nearby lot overnight. There were no towels in our room. We were given a few on day two after asking a second time. The bathroom was not very clean. Exhaust fan full of dust.
Dirty discolored shower floor. Dust covered light fixture above the sink. No lock on the bathroom door. The beds were small and supported by a cheap metal frame that barely held us. The one light in the room was a lamp, complete with a broken lampshade of which the only thing remaining was the wire frame - so I hung a t-shirt over it for the weekend. The window was covered with white blinds, but no curtains making it quite bright in the room come sun-up, so we had to hang a blanket over the window on night two. The air conditioner was about 12 inches from my face while sleeping so we re-directed the air with a boogie-board. There was no elevator. We were on the 3rd floor - so hauling our bags up four flights of stairs was not very easy. I am not one to leave bad reviews, but for the price, this place was pretty disappointing. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Looked like the door was replaced recently. It did not lock properly and the chain was missing. Manager fixed door and chain with screw gun while I waited. Kitchenette had no coffee maker or microwave. When microwave was brought over from another property it was dirty and missing a tray. Stove and oven did not work.

stay away

very old building. part was blocked of for safety. bathroom ceiling and shower moldy. no toilet paper no towels. had to ask. got toilet paper myself. only 2 pillows on TINY TINY bed ! 5 hours later still no towels or pillows. used our towles to shower. plugged in hair drier and blew all the power in the building.... by 10pm we had enough. got a room somewhere else. never go there.

This is a typical shore motel that is right on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. It has three floors, and is beach worn, but has character. There is an awesome balcony terrace for all guests to use that oversees the boardwalk and the beach. The staff is wonderful, eager to assist and pleasant to talk with. Rooms are basic, with wifi, a/c, small fridge, and microwave if you want one. It is located at the quieter north end of the boardwalk, a nice walk to the Midway.

The staff was nice however, I am guessing like most Seaside spots, its not in great shape and isn't really clean. Flies in the room and musty smell. Sheets were dirty, luckily we brought our own. The worst part, and this isn't really the hotels fault, is that our neighbors constantly smoked right outside OUR door. It is in a nice location, i just wish the property was kept up better.

Have to park several blocks away. Worst mattress I've ever slept on! Its more like a cot. It is literally just springs and some padding. I got no sleep. Floor had a slimy film which made it slippery. Only two towels in the bathroom and no washcloths. Not worth the money to be that close to the ocean.
