Cute, fair and nice - but they forgot our towels

The hotel is beautiful, the price is great. However, there are some stairs and courts spaces who make it difficult to access the rooms with big luggage. This is also due to the fact that the elevator, while charming, is old/classic. Moreover, one of their rooms has a separate bathroom but it isn't that clear in the ad, so make sure to double-check. There were no towels in our room too. The staff however, is very attentive to the travellers' needs.

The Attic

Had a lovely time in Turin. The hotel was within easy walking distance to everything, sites, shops, food places. Reception staff were very helpful and showed us places to visit on the map.

Nice place.

The first room we were given was \"in the attic\"---no wifi at all, but what a quaint room with a small kitchen! So we were moved to another room with great wifi and a balcony. Breakfast was delicious and the Cappacino was lovely. English speaking staff was hard to come by but all were willing to help as much as they could.

My Piedmontese stay (Il Mio Soggiorno Piemontese).

Generally pleasant, especially since I managed to pay it all in advance. The hotel's safeness and its accessibility to public transit like the trams and motorbuses/metro along with the Porta Nuova train station made it very convenient and tempting to stay at their place again in the future.

1. The Artua & Solferino was hard to find. 2. The hotel seems to share buildings with offices. 3. Room no 9 is in the attic with a very sharp winding staircase leading to a room that can best be described as an attic. 4. I upgraded to free internet, when I queried reception I was informed that I did not have free internet. I had to query this again to get internet access. The Artua & Solferino is one of the worst hotels if not the worst hotel that I have stayed in. Staff friendly enough except reception hanging up the phone when I rang down to reception inquiring about internet. Hotel 10 mins walk from city center.

our first night in Italy

This hotel looks grand on the outside. It occupies two buildings with reception on the ground floor of one while the hotel itself is on the fourth floor of the next with no interconnecting walkway. A lot of extra charges we hadn't expected - city tax 2.30 euro per person, off street parking 25 euro, in room wi.fi connection 8 euro & breakfast. With all these additional charges we probably could have found a nicer hotel. We were given a pin number for the building which didn't work & initially there was no electricity in our room because repairs were being done in the building. The bed was not comfortable but the room was clean & the bathroom good. Breakfast was crap - that's the best I can say about that!! The concierge spoke english, which is always a bonus.

conveniently located to airport bus terminal

Staff at the hotel are nice and helpful. The arrangement is odd as in 2 different buildings (rooms in one and main reception +breakfast room in another) but they do face one another. Room was in need of some renovation and quite basic. Bring your own shampoo.....

Very friendly staff....excellent breakfast with homemade pastries, yogurts, expresso, meats and cheeses....clean room with balcony,on a quiet street, adequate bathroom...although a couple of floors up, they do have an elevator...would definitely stay here again..very reasonably priced.

Hotel Artua & Solferino is an excellent location

The first stay was in an attic room that is about to be renovated. My second stay was in a room that had already be renovated. There was a significant difference. I felt the rooms were spacious and clean, the staff very helpful, the breakfast room charming, and the beds were very comfortable. There is lots of beautiful tile and marble and a sense of history that is so lacking in large new hotels. I have every intention of staying there in the future. This is the kind of hotel I look for. It is part of a residential area but near the train station, restaurants, shopping, and historical points of interest. I felt very safe.

Not worth its 3 stars

Certainly not worthy as a 3 star hotel. Staff were quite unhelpful. It was not even close to the photos posted on the internet. If my room had been on the net, I would have picked another hotel. When I looked around I discovered dirt in the corners of room and general impression of unclean. The TV was held together with selotape, and none of free to air channels were available. When I mentioned it, I was told the desk staff would let the manager know. Nothing happened. I mentioned it again the next day. Again it was ignored. My bed was not made nor my towels changed after 2nd night. Final straw was at check out when they tried to charge me an extra 37 euro for internet use. I had only used 1/2 hour and it should have been 1.60 euro. Over the 5 week trip I used a lot of hotels, and this was the only one that was a complete disappointment.

We traveled from overseas with two small children (5 and 2 yrs old) and stayed for several days. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had plenty of space and the room was comfortable and quiet.

The room and bathroom were very clean, room was big, personal at reception were very helpful, polite sweet and serviceminded, in the room was hairdryer and tv, gel for shower, but there wasn’t any shampoo/conditioner. Breakfast was not buffet, but menu.

OK rom, stort pluss for balkong og effektiv AC. Fint bad, dusj med dører som hindret at vannet sprutet der det ikke skulle. Fint med gamle kart og bilder på veggene. Frokosten ble bestilt ved bordet fra en innholdsrik meny og servert av betjeningen. Dette var en ordning som jeg etter hvert satte stor pris på.

Purtroppo la gentilissima receptionist era sola
La Camera era una mansarda affascinante ma rimasta agli anni ‘80
Il bagno era fatiscente
Non funzionava il phon e si prendeva la scossa dall’accensione della luce dello specchio
Colazione :
primo giorno arrivati alle 7 e 45
C’era da mangiare ma non c’era chi faceva caffe e cappuccio
Il giorno dopo alle 9 e 15 c’era la ressa , c’era poco cibo e non ne veniva portato altro se non due fette di formaggio e per il caffe bisognava andarselo a prendere al bar facendo la fila.
Nota positiva posizione comoda al centro

Vétusté de la chambre. Nécessité de réclamer des serviettes propres alors que les précédentes ont été mises sur le sol, parking payant à un prix exorbitant surtout compte tenu de l état de l établissement, dépose bagages payant...( hallucinant).

Bonjour a mon arrivee je demande un parking Ôk deux jours 45€ tout ceci en cash..
Toute la ville est payante .. de toute façon ca reste un vieil hotel Mais tres propre ..sur plus de 300 chaînes TV rien en anglais ni français ni d autres langues .. je trouve dommage .. le pdj est un peu restreint .. le cafe faut demander au bar .. les œufs ect .. dommage ..

Hôtel à 10 min à pieds du centre ville / stations de trains ,au calme.
La réception se fait au 1 de la rue au rdc et les chambres sont au 3 ( juste une cour intérieure à traverser). Le personnel est très serviable . Les chambres sont de bonnes factures même si la mienne faisait un peu datée, mais il vaut mieux un bon vieux parquet qu'une moquette , et la salle de bain est nickel

Como albergo in zona centrale.

Soggiorno a Torino per lavoro. Zona centrale molto comoda per gli spostamenti. Camera pulita ma non vi era nulla più del necessario. Frigobar vuoto, mancavano i consueti dettagli che arricchiscono il soggiorno (ciabatte da camera, lucido per scarpe) e giustificano il prezzo di 150 euro a notte. Ho dovuto richiedere gli asciugamani e il sapone in camera perché si erano dimenticati di metterli ...

Hôtel à proximité de sites touristiques

L'hôtel est bien placé. Les chambres sont au 4ème étage d'un immeuble dont les étages inférieurs sont occupés par des bureaux. Personnel de l'hôtel très serviable et à notre écoute. Par contre, l'hôtel aurait besoin de rénovations : ascenseur d'un autre temps, et surtout pas de double vitrage aux fenêtres des chambres, ce qui rend inconfortables les chambres qui donnent sur le Corso Re Umberto notamment.
Pour le petit déjeuner, l'offre est certes suffisante, mais cela manque de variété : pas de fruit sinon des pommes à peine mûres !

Ritornerò a Torino ma non in questo hotel!

Avevo prenotato due camere comunicanti vista monti, mi è stata data una camera dalla quale si accedeva alla seconda attravero una scaletta ripidissima e scivolosa , e la seconda si è rivelata essere un sottotetto privo di ogni confort.
Mi sono lamentata con la reception e la camera mi è stata cambiata, la camera matrimoniale dotatat di mobilia improvvisata ,con un lampadario da cucina , muri scrostati , tubazioni in bella vista e riscaldamento al minimo. la seconda camera , un soggiorno d'epoca con letto improvvisato , senza armadio.
La sala colazione è raggiungibile passando dal cortile , quindi bisogna andarci con il cappotto , e la colazione è mediocre.
Note positive : la posizione che è effettivamente molto comoda e la cortesia del personale.
Non ci ritornerò.

El hotel está bien, en el centro, se puede ir caminando a todos sitios, la habitación que nos dieron era cómoda, el único problema es que el baño no tenia ventana y, supongo que las tuberías, despedían mal olor (había que abrir la ventana del dormitorio para airear). Por todo lo demás correcto, sobre todo en relación calidad/precio.

Un bel hôtel typique. Un service un peu faible.

Cet hôtel où j'étais déjà descendue il y a quelques années s'est agrandi en acquérant le RDC de l'immeuble en complément de l'étage supérieur qu'il occupe, de sorte que réception et salle du petit déjeuner sont plus à la hauteur de ce beau quartier, par ailleurs très bien situé pour une visite de la ville et accessible à pieds de l'une ou l'autre gare. Ayant téléphoné pour avertir d'une arrivée un peu tardive du train de France et vérifier le trajet en bus, je me suis vu conseiller les dix minutes à pieds, et je recommande volontiers le trajet dans cette belle ville illuminée même s'il s'agit d'un 1/4 d'heure. L'hôtel offre un séjour en pleine harmonie avec le caractère propre de Turin, un patrimoine et un art de vivre, pas seulement un logement. On est donc un peu déçu de ne pas se voir porter sa valise, et de recevoir au petit déjeuner un sachet de tisane quand on a demandé du thé !

Personale cordiale, colazione buona e abbondante con vasta scelta e ottima zona centrale.. però la camera era un tantino diversa da quella che avevo prenotato, bagno pulito,ma in camera la pulizia lasciava un po' a desiderare. Top für kurztripps als junges paar!

Das hotel liegt sehr zentral und man kann die wichtigsten turistenpunkte leicht zu fuss erreichen.
Die zentrale lage hat aber den nachteil das man sein auto nicht vorm hotel parken darf, da dass zentrum turin für ausländische fahrzeuge verboten ist.
Das hotel an sich wirkt sehr nett und bietet was die fotos versprechen!
Das zimmer im speziellen das Badezimmer wurde nicht sauber geputzt, ebenso werden die handtücher und die bettlaken nicht täglich frisch gewächselt!

Nice hotel in the city centre and few minutes (by taxi or walking) from main attractions. My room was large and comfortable. Toilet was ok, mainly the shower was large. The check in was a bit slow, but at the check out I found the owner and he was very warm and kind. They have their own Car parking. Ex pensile if you stay few Hours like me, but very good if you stay all day long. Wi-Fi has good connection. Breakfast is ok
