Awesome stay!

Terrific hotel close yo the train station and very easy to get around. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Service was excellent. Breakfast had a great variety of foods and service was amazing. All the staff were great, especially Anduena. Very friendly and always on the go.

Clean rooms, annoying buzzers through the night

The hotel is in a good location, within easy walking distance of all the sights and the river.

Our room was clean and spacious.

We were disappointed that there was no EV charger on site despite it being advertised as having one. We ended up charging on the street a few streets over. The underground car park was having work on the gate done the next day so we had to get up early and move our car out of it by 8am. Our parking was discounted 50% as a result.

There was some work being done in the corridor along from our room and the corridors need freshening up. We moved some cleaning stuff in a bag that had been left in the corridor and it was still there the next day.

We didn’t get much sleep due to some kind of buzzer/ alarm going off every twenty minutes for the entire night. Not sure what it was but it was really annoying!

So overall, a good spot, but I’d expect more from Best Western.

The property was very clean and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the room was incredibly small and there were a few issues, such as the curtains not closing fully. The heating system also made our room incredibly warm when we were out and we had to turn on the air-conditioning and open the windows to cool the room down which went against being eco-friendly. However, the hotel is in a good location with easy access to the city centre (20 minute walk) and to Porta Nuova station where you can catch a bus to the airport (10 minute walk).

5 minutes walk out of the left hand side of the station if you exit a train, don't go to the front of the station to exit. Hotel on a quietish street, yes there are trams and buses going past the door but they don't bother you. Hotel clean, well kept, staff pleasant. Breakfast is not included for everyone, we took it one morning but went to a local cafe the second day as it wasn't the best. I would stay here again if I was in the area

We had a great stay. The hotel was able to accommodate our party of three adults. Altogether a wonderful experience for us all. Quick service. We called the front desk after tripping circuit breaker and someone was sent up within a couple minutes. The hotel has a great location with about a 10-15 minute walk into town square and museums. The main train station is also a short walk. And perhaps best of all was the 3€ (soon to be 4€ in 2020) breakfast buffet. The service was phenomenal with the unsung hero; the breakfast attendant, promptly refilling and replacing breakfast items. Would very much recommend.

Sixth floor room had good views over part of the city, and not too much road noise. Hotel was walking distance from the main station and not much further to the shopping centre and attractions. Room was the older style, and not one of the largest, but clean and with decent shower.

We stayed here on two separate nights with a different room each night and were really happy on both occasions. Both rooms were on the seventh floor and had a balcony, which was well worth the extra cost for the wonderful views. The rooms were attractive, exceptionally clean and in quiet locations. The staff in the hotel were extremely pleasant and helpful and we would certainly stay here again when visiting Torino!

Perfect stay in a great part of Turin

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the Hotel Luxor. The front desk staff were most helpful and worked diligently to facilitate our purchase of bus tickets - which was no easy feat as we are traveling Europe with touring bikes. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was most comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and was also a great value. The hotel is located very near the train station as well as the old city. We would like to thank the desk staff and would definitely recommend the Hotel Luxor.

Location is convenient to reach every interesting place in the city center by foot and rather safe considering its closeness to the train station. Other pluses: Quick check-in and check-out, friendly staff. I stayed in the non-smoking Superior Room with Terrace that was spotless clean, spacious, had a great mattress and bedding to sleep. The view from the terrace was nothing to write home about but if you like to seat and relax on the open air (or smoke near your non-smoking room) that room is for you. The breakfast is surprisingly good considering its price (3 euro). I recommend this place for a long stay to everyone who prefers something like “business style” or as a justified value for money for a quick stay for everyone else.

Pleasant experience at Best Western Luxor

The hotel's staff is very friendly and helpful! I had a first floor room which was connected to apartments next door which had noises throughout the night. Since I was there for a business trip, sleeping well at night was very important to me. The front desk staff helped me switch to a better room the next day on a higher floor. Had a great time at this hotel! Also, breakfast was delicious, way better than the Best Westerns in the U.S.! Also, the hotel was less than 5-minute walk to the train station, and also close to the old city. Very good location!

Good standard but let down by being too hot

My room was large for a single, decorated to high standard and spotless. The internet was high speed and worked well. The breakfast was excellent and as a business traveller I appreciated the early opening times. Two things let the hotel down for me, the first was the hard dining style chair at the desk in the room. I needed to spend an afternoon working at the hotel and after a couple of hours I was sore. The killer though was the heat. My stay was in January and I needed the window fully open just to keep the room at a liveable temperature, I could not get the air conditioning in the room to work and this would prevent me returning to this hotel on my next visit.

Nice hotel - excellent location

Great location, very convenient for the city centre, railway station and airport bus. Good wifi, very friendly and efficient staff and nice breakfast at a very reasonable cost. The only negative point was that I ended up with a smoking room and I could do nothing to diminish the unpleasant smell. So, the message is specify a non-smoking room.

We found the Luxor to be comfortable and clean. The neighborhood is very near the Porta Nova train Station. There are a few excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. The center of the city can be reached by bus or taxi in a few minutes.

Enjoyed our 4-day stay at BW Luxor. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Coffee-making machine a great plus. Wi-fi was fast on our room. Staff very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was great with an abundant choice of food. Hotel is situated 5 mins walk away from Torino Porta Nuova which makes it very convenient. The only thing I can complain about is the hard pillow we had, otherwise it is a very good hotel which I recommend. Will surely return there on my mext trip

Booked this Hotel with a flight via expedia. Arrived on the 19th May on the 6-55 flight from Stanstead, and by the time we had cleared the airport and made the Bus journey to Porto Nuveou we arrived at 11-30. we found the Hotel, which is on busy main street, and were hoping that they would allow us to store our luggage until the official check in time of 2pm. We were met with a friendly greeting in English and immediately given our room key, a very pleasant surprise.
The room was on the 5th Floor, and had the twin beds we requested, and the following facilities.
Tea/Coffee making facility's
TV (Only one English speaking channel, and that was BBC World news)
Fridge
Electronic safe in the wardrobep(provided for free)
Marvelous Shower with overhead and front spray,Bidet, etc.
Very good continental breakfast
The Hotel is idealy located for a brisk walk into the main part of Turin, with The Royal Palace, Turin Shroud, Cinema Museum, and Egyptian Museum being no more than a 40 minute walk away.
The Hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the staff are all very helpful.
Would we go back there, you bet.
The whole package including flights via expedia, and five nights came to only £530, so an excellent price as well.

Value for money in Turin

Hotel Luxor was very handy to the Turin station (Porta Nuova) and the nearby shops and restaurants (especially La Conca) were a treat. Hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly, especially if you indicated your support for their football team Juventus. Breakfast was very good, unfortunately some of the cakes and sweetbreads were a little too good. No hesitation in returning to this hotel.

Good location. A couple of blocks from the airport bus drop off and the Porta Nuova railway station. Friendly and helpful staff, all spoke English. Moved me to another room for the second night due to the noise. Staff recommended a great restaurant nearby. Good breakfast. Rooms at the front to be avoided because of the noise from the street and the bus stop outside the hotel. Air conditioning not on at the hotel which meant rooms were stuffy. Couldn't leave windows open because of the noise. When I asked about it I was told that it would be another month at least before the air conditioning was turned on. \"We only turned the heating off in April\".

Traveling solo to torino and wanted something close to the railway station yet in a good location to walk to the center of town easily. This worked pretty well. It was a bit of a walk to the center but less than 5 minutes to the train. Neighborhood was quiet and clean. Good breakfast, front desk was friendly and room was clean. Room was a bit warm but was able to easily open the windows and turn the temperature where it needed to be.

3-1/2 stars for our stay at Hotel Luxor

Overall, the hotel condition, cleanliness and service are ok. The hotel is situated very close to Porta Nuova Station; yet, it's a few blocks away from the airport bus terminus. For us, we had to carry the luggage and ski equipment to the hotel which was very tiring. We were very happy to find jacuzzi in our bathroom on the first two nights; yet, when we returned to the hotel from Venice, we had to live in a room with shower only.

Comfortable city centre hotel...well situated next to Train Station, buses and Metro.
The reception staff were really friendly, helpful , and spoke good English. Nice breakfast area with good choice of everything....this became the hotel bar which in the main was pretty lifeless, but nevertheless functional...
The rooms were pretty simple, but well maintained and clean. The maid's did a good job on a daily basis.
Overall , it was a nice city centre hotel with very attentive and friendly staff.
I think it is fairly rated at 3 star...

We spent 3 days in Turin, mainly to visit the wonderful Egyptian museum. The hotel staff provided a map, and lots of help and advice. We were on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel, having asked for a quiet room, and it was very satisfactory. In particular, we were impressed with the curtains, which really were black-out, unlike those in most hotels. The room and bathroom were a decent size, and there was plenty of space in the wardrobe too. Just around the corner we found a little Carrefour-express store, perfect for day to day needs, and there were plenty of nearby places to buy yummy cakes, chocolate and coffee. But the most important part of our accommodation was the hotel staff, in particular Marco and Giuseppe, who went out of their way to be helpful in all things, including our computer wi-fi. Thank you!

Air conditioning was turned off centrally for most of the day so the room was stuffy at times. Noisy location more than half a mile from the centre. Overall, adequate for a couple of nights.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff was very attentive and friendly, getting us an iron to iron out travel wrinkles quickly. Breakfast good. The neighborhood in the opposite direction of the train station has a number of nice little outdoor cafe/bars that were a nice place to sit down for the evening and unwind. Some mention the carpets might be a bit old but they didn't seem overly so to me. One of the hotel staff and I had a good laugh about me trying to say the room number in Italian - just an example of the friendly staff. One block to train station, 15 minute walk to Duomo. Would stay again.

Good hotel to stay in Turin

The hotel is very close to the central station and giving access to the shopping and museum districts near the station. It is located in a rather quiet street. The staff was very friendly and let us chose from several rooms. The room was small but the bathroom was rather large comparatively. It had, however, a balcony all the facilities that the Best Western chain offers, so we felt comfortable. The breakfast is above average for Italy.

If you want a hotel close to the train station it's perfect but we found it difficult to find any other amenities (restaurants, laundromat, supermarket) close by. The hotel itself was nice and clean with free wifi, however only one person could access it at a time, which was problem with three people in the room!

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful city

The hotel was a really pleasant place to stay. The decor was pleasant and you could see the snow on the mountains from the bedroom window. The room also had a little balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. The location was ideal not too far from the city centre and very close to the main station. It was not quite so close to the Porta Susa station where the TGV for Paris leaves from.

The Luxor was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city.

Don't listen to the moaners This is a great hotel

I had my concerns about this hotel after reading some of the feedback on the moaners website tripadvisor. But the reality was everything that someone moaned about was non existant. The staff were brilliant , the guys on reception could not have been more helpful , the rooms were spotless 10 /10 to the house keeping team. Breakfast was perfectly fine. So what they serve their scrambled egg less warm than we do ? One simple request to microwave it brought back to me steaming hot. The rest of the breakfast items were quality through and through. Two cereals choices 3 Juice choices 5 yoghurt choices 2 fruit choices 5 croissants choices, hams cheeses galore , great coffee machine, 8 choices of tea. Honestly if you want silver service go pay for it. This hotel is in a perfect location, yes you have to keep your wits about you at night, but thats no different in any city in the world. Thank you Best Western Hotel Luxor, we had a great time

Too hot for comfort at night

Very convenient location about 3 blocks from train station, in a good neighborhood with several good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby. The staff was pleasant and helpful, but the room was so hot we needed to keep the windows open whenever we were in the room, including during sleep time. The front desk staff explained that the air conditioning is not available until June, but there was no heating on. Not sure where the heat was coming from, but with windows open, street lights also came in. A great hotel otherwise.

Good hotel, definitely recomend it

Basically my only complaint is the bed, which was no worse than your average hotel mattress. It was good quality and I could see they had bought the mattress to last, it just happened to be extremly uncomfortable for someone who is used to sleeping on a memory-foam mattress.

The rest of the room was great. Nice, newish furniture(certainly not run-down, the room appeared to have been renovated in the last several years) TV was good-quality, I used a USB stick from home to play all of my american telivision on it.

The wifi left a very small amount to be desired in that it was secured with a password that was only good for one device at a time, and switing out devices was somewhat challenging. On the list of complaints this is really digging pretty deap as there was also a wired connection available and I am sure if I had just asked they would have issued me a second username.

The hotel staff was polite and very professional, they always had someone on hand who spoke english well enough to help me. I had the impression the hotel did not typically cater to foreigners but again they did well.

The continental breakfast was superb. Nice selection, fresh food, I had no trouble eating there every morning of my stay.

I would definitely return -

We were extremely impressed with the Hotel Luxor during our stay. This hotel clearly earns its star rating with the overall appearance of the hotel. We especially appreciate the friendliness of the staff who were always willing to stop what they were doing to help us or to answer our questions; this was very important to us. The room was clean and breakfast was always available with a variety of options to select from.

Overall OK hotel, well located. The room was not very comfortable as there was not an entre and you can hear everyone who talks and walks on the floor. If you plan to sleep until late, this is not your hotel. Also the parking was pretty expensive. Apart from that the hotel is Ok - close to the centre.

A great hotel for Terra Madre

The BW Luxor was a perfect choice as a visitor to Terra Madre and the Salone del Gusto. The room was great and the breakfast was very nice. The only complaint was the lack of wifi, but the front desk offered network cables for the free plug-in internet connection.

A Pleasant Surprise

In decades of travel, we have found most Best Western hotels across Europe to be somewhere between entirely adequate to delightful surprises; the Luxor was at the upper end of our scale. It was clean, relatively modern and quiet. The staff was polite, helped with an excellent restaurant choice in the neighborhood, and otherwise stayed out of the way unless needed. Breakfast was, well, breakfast; plentiful, ordinary and well-balanced.
As a party of three, we were given a room on the top floor which offered a large, outdoor balcony with table and chairs and a great view of the city. The bathroom was clean and modern.
All in all, one of our better choices, and recommended.

Perfectly fine for a short stay

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel location is very near to Porta Nuova station which is extremely handy for taking the coach to and from the airport. The hotel is slightly out of the central area (but only a 10 minute walk to the main squares) with a couple of restaurants nearby but not much else. The hotel is on a main road which has traffic noise throughout the night so rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter. The self service breakfast is very generous, comprising everything from scrambled eggs through to fruit and yoghurt and a coffee machine which gives a variety of hot drinks. Standard single rooms are an ok size with an en suite shower room and tea/coffee making facilities & a fridge/minibar. The TV has a variety of foreign language channels including a BBC world news channel for English speakers. Anyone who struggles with steps should be aware that there are several steps at the main entrance up to the reception area, then more steps up to the lifts and more again down to the breakfast room.

Worst Western Hotel Luxor

We have stayed in Best Western Hotels before and only a few days previously we had a fantastic stay in the Best Western in Reims. Unfortunately this experience in Turin, was not our best and hence we came up with our title 'The Worst Western Hotel Luxor.' We were checked in to a bedroom that was as far away from reception as you could get in this hotel? There was a family above us, who were walking around on wooden floors!! Therefore the noise from above was unbearable. Also, believe it or not, the adjacent bedroom had their shower, toilet/bathroom constructed in the corner of our bedroom?? The times that the toilet was used overnight was ridiculous! We managed to have a few hours sleep, but come first light, the neighbours began showering. No problem with that, it was just that they were six foot away and singing!! Once the 2nd person got in the shower, that was it! Up we got, booked out before six-o-clock and scarpered. Luckily, we were only there for the one night, but NEVER again. It definitely deserves the above title!!
