Hotel Villa Sarah was one of the highlights of our vacation. The property was immaculately clean, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and we are still dreaming of the capuccinos at breakfast. Our room faced out to the open sea, overlooking the backside of Capri, over the Marina Piccolo area. What a treat! We even extended our stay, and the hotel was able to keep us in the same room. We are very grateful for the staff at Villa Hotel Sarah - they truly made our time there special. We highly recommend this property. One hint if you have luggage - arrange to have it sent up in a cart. The walk-up is serious and we missed the email from HVS with instructions. Tough if you are tired and it is a hot day. No worries - once checked in and showered, the memory of this disappeared.

Our stay at Hotel Villa Sarah was amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. The property is beautiful, our room was clean and updated and the beds were so comfortable. The staff was amazing and SUPER helpful. They were the sweetest people and so accommodating. The location was also great! It was the perfect stay in Capri!

Wonderful hotel! It's a bit of a trek to get there from the central square, but it's entirely worth it. The outdoor relaxation spaces are so inviting, with the infinity pool and many loungers and both in the sun and shade. There are several walkable dining options nearby, including a great restaurant called Lo Sfizio literally 2 minutes up the street, and it's a perfect place to stay if you're interested in some of the walking/hiking delights of Capri such as Park Astarita, Villa Jovis and Villa Lysis, all of which I highly recommend. The 24-hour service is wonderful, and the nighttime view was stunning, with stars visible on a clear night. I will say that the bed was not the most comfortable (I have back pain and found the mattress too firm and springy), but my husband had no trouble sleeping. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it particularly for couples or friend groups who are more interested in the hiking/outdoor pleasures of Capri than the chi-chi dining/shopping experience.

We loved the location which is away from the tourists. It felt like we were in the heart of local Capri. Although you can get there easily, it is a 10 minute incline walk with somewhat steep sections so if you have mobility issues, it is important to keep this in mind.

Hotel Villa Sarah is the most wonderful hotel. Yes it's a short 5-10 walk up the hill from the main centre of Capri but once there it's so beautiful,quiet,calm and away from the hustle and bustle of Capri town.. all the staff were so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable..it's a small family run hotel and once there you are treated like one of the family,nothing is ever too much trouble.
The pool is perfect to relax around after a busy day exploring.
Rooms are very clean with tiled floors, basic but have super comfy beds and top quality bed linen,air conditioning etc...when in Capri you'll only want somewhere to sleep as there's so much to see and do. Breakfast is lovely,fruit breads cheese, cereals,juices etc.

If you have heavy bags you may well want to get them portered up to the hotel when you get off the ferry as you have to take the funicular up to Capri town from the marina, otherwise it's a taxi and the queues are usually very long..

A perfect place to relax after a busy day walking and exploring. Yes the rooms a little dated but there is amazing hot water in a small shower. The AC worked great. The pool was chilly here June 2024 but who cares you’re in Italy on an amazing island. Yes to get to the hotel it is a bite of hike up hill. (Bring the high heels in a bag, lol) So be ready for that. I would recommend this hotel for sure!

This place is a gem on the amazing island of Capri. The room was very comfortable, plenty of space, very clean, nice bathroom and large king size bed. We had a balcony with a sea view that was like something out of a fairy tale. We sat out there a lot. The staff was welcoming and exceedingly friendly. They really made us feel at home. The location is great. Price is quite reasonable as compared to hotels in the area which often have small rooms and tiny beds. My wife and I stayed two nights on our 12 day trip in Italy. Free breakfast was a nice benefit. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. Would definitely consider staying here again.

This villa is beautiful and clean. However, no one tells you that to get this villa is such a hassle. NO taxi service to hotel. You need to walk uphill/downhill the equivalent of 5 staircases to get to square or to get a taxi. People stop to catch their breath. Be sure you have a map of where hotel is when arriving in Capri, it's a maze. It took me over two hours to get to villa and 60 euros. How does the hotel expect us to make prior arrangements for baggage pickup? We don't know how to call the villa in Capri. The bags get picked up but not the guests. Taxis are very few. I highly recommend you getting a hotel that will provide provide pick up and delivery to the ferry. Taxi line over an hours wait in the hot sun. Terrible! There are tooooo many people traveling today. It wasn't like this 20 years ago. The villa staff was very helpful again the tv would cut out, why?? The dirty red carpet in the hallway needs to be replaced!! Breakfast was very good. Wifi does not extend to the pool area, only in the room. So I was unable to listen to jazz while sitting at pool. Need a few improvements.

The staff were very helpful and friendly; rooms are very clean and comfortable; lovely pool for cooling off in the afternoon; and they make a very good Compari spritz. The property gave us easy access to all of the attractions in Capri, and was the perfect.spot to return to at the end of the day.
It is just a short word walk from the piazza, and an equally pleasant walk from sites, such as Villa lysis, or the ruins of Villa Jovis.
Equally important, it is virtually next-door to one of our favorite restaurants on the island.

Our overall stay at a Villa Sarah was lovely. The rooms were nice, and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony which was great. The grounds and garden are beautiful as well. Our only complaint was that they did not advise us of the luggage service, and we ended up, dragging our suitcases up a very steep hill. They also did not tell us that we had to set up the service a full day in advance going down when we left. The communication about this could have been better as people with mobility issues would have trouble getting up the hill or going up the stairs to this location. The woman at the front desk insisted that the information came with my confirmation, I checked again, there was no information about where and how to use the luggage service or even directions to the hotel. The communication was a small irritant in an overall great stay at the hotel. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

This hotel is a charming and welcoming property truly off the beaten path on the paradise island where tourists can be a bit overwhelming of late. For us, the highly professional and engaging staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We had a number of things we wanted to accomplish and Giuseppe who was on the desk during the day basically checked off all of those boxes for us. A couple of \"pro tips\" if you are looking to stay here. It can be difficult to find. By all means, use the service which will cart your bags up the steep hills to the hotel. If you have to carry them up yourself, you'll have a workout that you didn't expect or want. The breakfast is delicious and the pool is beautiful. A nearby restaurant, Lo Sfizio, just a couple of minutes away, is also a top recommendation, frequented by locals. If you want a genuine Italian experience, you'll do well by staying at Hotel Villa Sarah.

We've been returning as a group of friends for the fifth year in row now as the hotel is decently priced during the high season on Capri and convinces with the feeling of a familiar place - mostly down to the friendly family who own and run it. It is airy and bright with a good-sized pool and a luscious garden.
The rooms are all tiled with the typical beautiful tiles of the island and have a sufficient size.
If there was anything to lament about it would be the water pressure and the condition of the shower equipment in general, but this really is just a tiny downside.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is outdated however it is incredibly priced for being in the heart of Capri. I would stay again due to value and fantastic location. It would have been nice to know about the lack of access by taxi or car, and that there’s a porter service available. Also not a great place to stay if you have any issues walking up or down steep inclines. However it is excellent if you are active and want easy access to great hiking paths and challenging runs - no need for a gym! I will definitely stay again, knowing that the rooms are small and outdated, very bare bones. But clean.

We heard about this hotel from a national newspaper feature on the best places to stay on Capri and we were not disappointed. The hotel is very well appointed and the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in low season and got a free upgrade to a sea view room which made our stay on the island all the more special.

Villa Sarah is a beautiful property that is conveniently located close enough to attractions but far enough to provide a quiet, peaceful respite from the hustle of the tourist areas. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and everything was in excellent working order. If you decided to stay here and have much luggage, consider opting for the luggage transport service (the hotel can arrange for you) because the trip from the port to the hotel is challenging with a heavy suitcase.

Amazing staff, so so helpful, they went out of the way to phone the blue grotto and ferry companies and reserve amazing restaurants for us. I can't recommend the staff enough. The hotel is at a top of a walkway for for elderly would be good idea to ask them to arrange to have your bags collected and maybe someone to pick you up. Perfect staff, lovely rooms, good breckfast.

We enjoyed our stay on the beautiful island of Capri. The family that owns this hotel is charming and kind and work hard to provide an excellent experience. The pool is refreshing and extremely clean. I was appreciative of the personal attention of Guissepe. He organized a luggage service and ferry tickets, made local dinner recommendations, allowed us to make document copies that we needed.

It would be hard for those with back, knee, or hip issues to climb the steep and narrow \"road\" to get to the hotel. The locals do it easily. Still, I would have appreciated the chance to go by taxi, especially in August in 94 degree heat with high humidity. I suppose it is part of the charm. We loved our stay at Villa Sarah! Warning it's a bit of a hike uphill (about 5 minutes), but you are so close to the center of town with all the shops and restaurants. I recommend giving your bags to porters when you arrive in Capri and let them drop at the hotel. The front desk staff was so lovely and gave us great recommendations for our stay. The room was extremely spacious and clean and the bathroom modern and clean as well. We had an early ferry the morning we left and the night doorman had told the morning doorman in advance and they had coffee waiting for us when it was time to leave. We hadn't asked for it but it was such a kind gesture. I would love to come back and stay again!

The villa is clean and very well presented. It's at the very top of Capri so it took a while from the main square to get up to. The room was decent size and clean, and the staff very helpful. We had to leave early in the morning for a ferry which meant that we had to go outside of the standard breakfast hours, the staff allowed us to have breakfast which was amazing. Wifi reception was bad in the room but better in the corridor. Overall neat villa to stay in, would probably pick one closer to the main square.

My husband and I stayed here one night on our honeymoon. It is in a beautiful location away from the bustle of Capri town. Other reviewers are right - it's quite a hike. We did not pack light and we were sore from rolling or big bags up the cobblestone hill. The service was great and everyone we met was helpful and kind. They gave us a view room for free because the hotel wasn't full at the time we visited. I didn't like how you have to leave your key at the front desk - the desk isn't always guarded. However there is a safe in the room for peace of mind. The bathrooms are small but the balcony is nice. Would stay there again.

One of our best stays after 4 wks. in Italy. Although an older building, everything was pleasant. It was obvious that the owners take care to present the best possible stay for their guests. Very helpful and informative on what to see and nice breakfast with special attention to each guest. Beautiful pool and interesting surroundings. Nice to have room to move around, since that's not always the case in Italy.

Lovely hotel in the hills above Capri town. It is a little bit of a hike to get there so don't book it if you have a lot of luggage. We really enjoyed our stay. The only think that could be improved on would be the beds that are quite hard (like everywhere in Italy). Also the pool is closed for children between 4-5PM.

Beautiful tile everywhere. We stayed a night and then left for a hotel in Marina Grande (next to ferry docks) with a sea front view for same price. Great service from authentic cute staff. Good for older couples probably. My parents might like how quiet and remote it is. A lovely place but not for me and my gf (30 and 26). It's a hike up there!!
