Beautiful views from the hill top position and we were grateful for the funicular lift to sea level. Our first room was poor and needed updating. We immediately asked to be moved which could not happen until the next day. The new room was excellent and worth the money.

The hotel is highly out dated and their parking options are highly inconvenient. All of the amenities are old and not well maintained. For being owned by the same company as the Grand Hotel Arenzano, this property really falls short in terms of upkeep and staff friendliness. Also, if you’re traveling with a kid in a stroller, this is definitely not the location for you.

The staff doesn’t allow to park next to the hotel, even though the space was available. They keep the space for their own cars not guests.
The staff asked us to move our car to the Grand hotel which is 7min walk. Given we are with toddler it was very inconvenient
It was so inconvenient we even left one night earlier

A very nice hotel with staff that are extremely helpful and friendly. They cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable.
The room was spacious and comfortable.
The roof top pool and bar are fab and enjoy far reaching glorious views.
Breakfast was plentiful and nice.
Would definitely come back for a longer stay.

Excellent spot if you get a 2 bdrm apartment with terrace or a small balcony room with a view. Staff and food was excellent. Communication was poor - check in was a circus. Convention checking out at 3pm while new arrivals are checking in. Parking was a clown show. The lift (get's you to get the town level for the beach, shopping, restaurants etc. was out of service. Water to the town / hotel was off between 8 PM and 9 AM one night. Bad timing for us I guess - but it's a beautiful spot with fantastic views. Staff was as helpful as possible.

The property and service were amazing but my balcony looked out into the tanning deck with plenty of foot traffic making us feel on display while in our room. There was no coffee maker or espresso machine in the room. Valet parking meant they took our car to a lot and then we had to find it later which involved walking through the maze of the hotel. The service at the front desk and with the gentlemen that helped us with our bags was incredible and I have nothing bad to say about them.

A terrible experience! The property is vastly outdated and poorly maintained. Very unclean facilities! Front desk staff are totally inept and complacent. Rooms have zero decorations and are the most spartan I have ever seen. Hotel layout is like wandering through a maze. No assistance with luggage and no convenient parking.

First the good- there is a large car park for visitors to the hotel which is free. The breakfast is very good with a pleasant pool side location with fine views. Nearly all the rooms have a sea view.
Then the bad- the layout of the hotel is a nightmare. Some sections of floors do not connect with others on the same floor. Only safe policy is to go down all the way to reception and set out again. To get to our room one had to go up to the third floor and then down stairs to a tiny separate part of the second floor. The room had no balcony although the literature said all rooms had a balcony. (probably reserved for those booking through Expedia).
Evening meal included a dish that was absolutely revolting. They did however deduct the cost from the bill.
The architect should be condemned in perpetuity to roam the corridors rescuing lost guests. On no account try to find your way back to the upper car park without a guide unless you have marked the way with a ball of wool.

very good overall, comfortable hotel, very clean, good location.
Loved the big pool on the 4th floor 33 metres long!
Lovely breakfast! Loads of choice and friendly staff.
Only negative was I asked 3 times for the shower attachment on the bath to be fixed and it wasn't over the whole week we were there. Quite a big deal for us so the hotel gets a big black mark for that!
Special mention for Arrika or Erica? our waitress at breakfast. Big smile each morning and couldn't do enough for us and went the extra mile.... big thank you.

Not a bad hotel, but not a 4 star as claimed, the food in the restaurant not great for the prices , breakfast was absolutely rubbish , quite a steep walk back up the hill from the town , we wanted a drink when we got back the only bar is by the pool and shuts at 6pm the only other place to get a drink was the restaurant which shut at 9.30 pm , the views are nice , there was as a wedding taking place on the Saturday so nobody could use the small pool by the restaurant, we had an ok stay but wouldn't pay nearly 300 euros for 2 nights there again and that doesn't include the city tax

I would not recommend this hotel with the following experience I had:
1) the facility is old and malfunction that was not competitable with some motels in some lower tier cities in the world I traveled to. The AC didn't work. The door card didn't work etc. By the way, the room we had was a suite.
2) We arrived in the night and it took us half hours to park a car. It was dark and not clear signs. The access to the parking lot and parking lot to hotel entrance was hard to find and confusing.
3) services: the front desk was not friendly and had no patience.
4) my decision to book this hotel was totally mislead by the photos. In fact, the beach far down the hotel belongs to a third party that charge for staying there. The most disgusting thing was after I swimmed in the sea along the beach, I found there was a big sewage exit above that discharged unknown liquid into the sea in about 80 yards to where I was swimming!
5) the hotel has swimming pool and I saw the staff poured in white cleaning up powders in front the customers which didn't give customers a good perception.
I paid about $320/night to stay in this hotel with the above experience and I will not come back again.

A great hotel, amazing views over Arezano and the Ligurian coast.
Staff were very professional and friendly.
Only draw back for some might be that the hotel is situated on a hill just outside the town and it is a short but steep walk up from the town, that being said the location is the best thing about this hotel, close to town yet very quiet neighborhood and the best views imaginable.

Lovely Place !

We stayed there for 2 days and were happy to have booked a Hotel in a great location, representing the mood of the area. The rooms were large and the view from the rooms were excellent ! . The breakfast was quite good, with a decent spread.

The only hitch was that the internet was displaying poor signals in the room and we had to come to the reception to access our messages and mails.

A big let down

I stayed at this hotel in the first week of Oct 2015. I booked the hotel as all the pictures showed it be a beautiful place. Unfortunately, the hotel did not live up to the pictures it displays. Firstly, it was a mission just finding the place, going up the windy mountain roads, and once it was located parking was a struggle. Check in went smoothly. The hotel is very dated, needs to be brought into the current century. It is not ideal for disabled visitors as there are no ramps or any facilities (that I could see). The pool was off limits whilst we were there also. Staff were generally friendly and helpful (except the night receptionist- I asked him for an iron and his reaction startled me. He got very upset and stated that irons are not allowed in the room and no hotel in Italy allows irons. Oh well... that was news to me). Ended up having to pay £40 for 5 items to be ironed. The hotel breakfast was ok but the evening menu was very limited so we ate out every night.
The only plus I could see for this hotel was the views and how friendly the staff were (except one ;-)

Visited at end of sept so weather wasn't the best, large pool was closed, and getting down to arenzano was difficult. Either take the road with no path route or the cable car lift. The lift seemed to be closed a lot of the time. The restaurant food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The hotel rooms were nice but the heating didnt always come on. For free food go to the cafes in arenzano as every time you order a beer they bring out bread, meat and crisps.

Very nice stay, I recommend.

I only stayed one night, but it was very pleasant.

We were in 3 people, and got a renovated room, with a nice balcony with ocean view, Inside the room it was like a 2 bedroom apartment, with a huge bathroom. The big pool was very nice, service very good, the only complain was in the breakfast, there was not enough staff to replace clean dishes, food, milk, beverages. But everything else was very good, I would definetely go back to spend more time.

If you want to tan and swim on the Italian Riviera, this is a nice place. Take advantage of the pools and private beach. Arenzano is a small town on the Italian Riviera. The hotel is up a hill at the end of town, so if you arrive by train, call a taxi.

Great for a quiet and relaxing day/night!

This was a great hotel for my fiancé and I to spend the end of our vacation. The pool was great, the view was amazing, and the town was beautiful! We were able to relax in the sun, and then have a nice dinner down by the water. A couple of fun facts: The hotel information says \"private beach,\" and we thought that meant that guests of the hotel could use the beach for free. That was not the case - you still have to pay to get on to the beach. We got there after 3pm, and they wanted 22 euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. We opted not to pay and went back up to the hotel pool instead. The free wifi in the lobby is not great at all.

Bit rough round the edges

While the reception area has been redone not much else has. The room was fine but wouldn't win any style awards. The staff were nice except for the pool lifeguard who drove us away from \"reserved\" loungers. Over half the loungers by the pool had small handmade reserved signs making everyone crowd into a small area by the end. The beach operation is a separate business and it costs Euro 30 for a lounger for the day. The pool in particular could do with a good clean there was green algae all round the edge. If you are driving dont get there too late as there is limited parking in a small area. It took us a 17 point turn to get the car out in the morning !

A stunning location

Punta San Martino is a spectacular place to stay. It boasts stunning views, fabulous pools, handy access to the beach and bike/walking trail via the tram and spacious and gorgeous rooms. The restaurant is excellent and the staff was quite friendly and helpful. The rates are very competitive. I would love to come back!

Hotel was well maintained but dated in some areas, but more than adequate for a brief stop off at the beach. The only unwelcome surprise was the private beach - hotel website and hotels.com both mentioned hotel has private beach, NEITHER MENTION IT COSTS A WHOPPING €35/DAY PER PERSON TO USE!! There is however a public beach approx 200m around the coast.

Great Location

If you arrive by car parking can be a little difficult although there is adequate parking behind the hotel which is not made clear upon arrival. The Hotel is a little on the old side but well maintained with very helpful staff, breakfast is more than adequate for starting your day. There are two pools one is fresh water and for the exclusive use of the hotel patrons, the second larger pool is salt water and very big, also deep. As is the custom locals may purchase a space for the summer and and at weekends it can be crowded but there is a small area for hotel guests. Make friends with the lifeguards at the pools and the beach and you will get a space any day, all in all a good hotel. The only drawback I can offer, is the long walk back up the steep incline to the hotel after the escalator to beach level stops working after 7pm, however its a great way to work off a few calories after dinner.

We would not stay here again. Our room wasn't ready for us when we arrive at check in time. When we checked in we asked for the nearest restaurant since we didn't eat for most of the day and they sent us up to their restaurant but it was closed due to a wedding. We then went down to the lobby again and ask again, they said try their small pool area. They stated they were closed. We went up to the front desk again and they stated everything in town is closed because it's three pm and \"your now on italian time\" (with attitude of course). Funny because we've been in Italy for 8 days already and had no problem finding a restaurant open at 3pm. Their restaurant was not available to eat in during our whole stay due to the amount of weddings held here. The food that was available was only sandwiches and pizza which tasted aweful, like ballpark food. When we arrived in our room my husband began to plug in his phone to charge, with appropriate attachments and he got shocked. The outlet was not grounded. The room was not wirth the cost of the hotel stay. The large pool and beach area was nice and clean. If you don't mind walking into town for all of your meals you will be very happy here. If you don't know a little bit of italian you don't want to stay here. Staff had a hard time speaking and understanding english.

Vi ville booke lidt mere luksus, men mødte op til et noget slidt hotel. Synes ikke det svarer til billederne. Strygejern kunne kun lånes mod betaling. Personalet var venlige. Morgenmaden var god.

schönes Hotel und wunderschöne Natur. Für mich war es ein Minuspunkt, dass es keinen Privatstrand gab, wie angegeben, der Pool war nicht in Betrieb, was für mich ein wichtiges Kriterium bei der Hotelauswahl war. Das Frühstück war gut, aber jeden Tag das Gleiche. Das Personal ist freundlich und bereit, aktuelle Probleme zu lösen.

Appena arrivati abbiamo capito subito che di 4 stelle ne aveva ben poche. Abbiamo prenotato una stanza al prezzo di 160 euro a notte e siamo rimasti terribilmente delusi. Entrando nella camera abbiamo sentito subito una forte puzza di umidità e muffa che non ha concigliato assolutamente il sonno (meno male che siamo stati solo una notte).
Anche il bagno non era il massimo, in quanto la pressione della doccia era bassissima e lo scarico del lavandino arrugginito. L'unica nota positiva è stata la vista dal balcone dove si vedeva tutta la costa.
Per quanto riguarda i corridoi, la moquette era sporca.
La colazione, invece, non era niente di che e il servizio inesistente.
Peccato perché alla reception sono stati molto gentili e disponibili (Marco).
Non lo consiglio assolutamente!

Hotellin uimaallas alue sekä maisemat ovat hyvät. Aamupala hieman suppea ja ruokaa piti olla saatavilla 10:30 toisena aamuna menin kello 10 ja lähes mitään ei ollut jäljellä sekä palvelu aamupalalla hyvin nyrpeää..

Bella struttura, bella piscina , panorami unici, stanza bella con vista mare meravigliosa, personale gentilissimo e molto professionale . Due piccoli nei non mi fanno dare cinque stelle; ci sono troppe scale non servite da ascensori e pertanto anche il trasporto di un trolley risulta difficoltoso; il buffet della prima colazione è abbondante e buono ma manca la possibilità di avere una un caffe od un cappuccino fatto da un barista e non dalle macchinette elettriche

Struttura fatiscente, richiede rinnovo sopratutto nelle zone comuni, pavimentazione e muri di 30 anni or-sono. Ascensori indescrivibili, aria condizionata non rapportata alla metratura della stanza, piscina sporca, aghi di pino da per tutto, Non so di chi sia la responsabilità della funicolare, ma speriamo che. Ok accada qualcosa come al Mottarone, manutenzione penso quasi inesistente, mancano tutte le targhe di ispezione annuali degli enti preposti, come tra L altro negli ascensori, cosa che è d obbligo in ogni struttura per il pubblico. Una follia il costo di queste camere per il servizio offerto, unica nota positiva la vista eccezionale

Es ist eine tolle Unterkunft auf dem Berg. Die Aussicht ist grandios. Wir konnten den ganzen Tag aufs Panorama schauen. Generell ist die Anlage in einem Mittelmäßigen zustanden. An vielen Ecke bricht der Putz von den Wänden. Teilweise werden defekte nur überstrichen. Im Badezimmer war der Duschkopf total verkalkt. Es kam kaum Wasser raus. Fast alle Silikonfugen hatten Schimmel flecken.
Das Bett war in Ordnung und das Zimmer sauber.
Beim Frühstücken nerven die Vögel die konstant versuchen Essen vom Teller zu klauen. Ich empfehle allen drinnen zu essen.

Schöne Lage mit Blick aufs Meer

Das Hotel ist erhaben auf einem Felsen, deshalb sieht man von allen Seiten aufs Meer. Zum Strand hinunter gibt es einen Lift. Auch zu Fuss ist man in wenigen Minuten im Städchen, wo es viele hübsche Restaurants gibt.
Das Frühstück ist sehr fein.
