This hotel is located a little off the beaten path, but it offers convenient access to both the bus routes serving many of the area's top attractions and the train station, which was very helpful during our stay.

The property is well maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooftop area offers beautiful sunset views, while the pool and sauna were a nice added touch.

One thing to note is that some of the photos may give the impression that the rooftop hot tub is available for general guest use. In reality, it is a private rental, so keep that in mind if that amenity is a deciding factor for your stay.

The experience is a little more rugged and independent than a traditional hotel, but that was not a problem for us. Overall, we had no complaints and would happily stay here again.

We stayed one short night here between travel days and found the apartment very comfortable for our family of 4. They were able to provide a crib & had the pull out couch set up as a bed. The room was large, clean, and spacious with great air conditioning. They kindly held our luggage for us after check out & let us use the pool for a few hours, which was amazing! Super friendly staff too.

We didn’t explore town from here much, but it seems like it would be quite a walk to the main attractions. But it was the perfect place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

I would actually give this a 4.5. It was great, but not perfect. It did fit our needs well. The indoor pool is actually great. My problem with indoor pools is ventilation - I hate the smell of chlorine in the air. They have done a decent job ventilating the spa area. They have put effort into aesthetics, and it really helps. The mood is relaxing (though there are plenty of families - but the kids seem to get that it is a tranquil environment. The room is nice. The area is convenient - it is out of the primary tourist area. You can go across the main boulevard and be right in the thick of the tourist sites, or you can go into the area behind the hotel, where locals live. I love this access to both. We went to a wonderful grocery store around the corner and bought wine, cheese, salami, etc. and had a picnic on the terrace. The hotel has some really nice outdoor, common space, on the top floor. The views are nice and it is well appointed with comfortable seating. The days in Florence were hot, when we were there - in the 90s and we loved coming back to the spa to unwind. I would stay there again.

Well situated for accessing the city. Due to our arrival time, we didn’t get to use the spa or enjoy breakfast. Room was spacious but could do with a fresh coat of paint. Disappointed that the extensive construction work around the hotel wasn’t disclosed at time of booking meaning that we needed to find alternative parking arrangements - the hotel notified us a couple of days before only.

Our stay at Forte 16 was fantastic. The room was large and full of amenities such as dishes, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator.

The bed was firm but comfortable.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

We fell in love with the rooftop patio (with beautiful views of the city)

The laundry room was an added bonus. Pricey at €4 Per machine but definitely convenient.

My husband was quite fond of the free sparkling water machine as well.

The hotel was in a construction zone, however we still managed to make our way to all of the major attractions within a 20 minute walk or so.

We loved our stay here! Spacious room, bright, wonderful amenities. The staff were so helpful and kind they had great restaurant recommendations. The location is a bit of a walk from the historical center which was fine for us as we like the walk but something to be aware of. The view from the rooftop was amazing! A relaxing place to hang out after a day of exploring. They also have laundry machines one washer one dryer. We didnt use the pool but it looked nice. A grocery store and local Gelato shop minutes away. I would stay here again!

What an amazing location. Plenty of food options, the staff’s suggestions were great. The room was magnificent, very clean, plenty of space, bed was amazing and our kids loved it. Literally no complaints at all. 15/20 min walk to the Duomo where all the hubbub is, plenty to see on the way. Didn’t have a car, but plenty of parking on premise. 10/10, would love to stay here again!

This was my second visit in less than a year with this one being an extended stay. The location is outside the main tourist area but close enough (walking) to amazing restaurants, pastry/coffee and grocery (CO-OP). Our room came with an espresso machine, fridge, microwave/toaster oven, cook-top and dishwasher. The pool/spa relaxing. The staff was superb. This will be my go to place to stay in the future in Florence

There is a lot of construction happening for a new tram line outside of the hotel which should make it more convenient to get around with public transport. Breakfast was OK. This was our first time visiting Italy, and we were immensely impressed with the accommodations. Our room (110) had an amazing view of the back patio and surrounding buildings, which made our stay feel even more special.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions for local food spots and places to explore. We also enjoyed our massages on the first evening — a perfect way to unwind after traveling.

The hotel’s location is ideal, within easy walking distance of all the major attractions. After long days of exploring the city, the heated pool was exactly what we needed to relax and recharge.

Well-appointed apartment with kitchen facilities. I would have appreciated a basic chair, but my spouse really enjoyed the spa lounger! There were bar-style chairs. We didn’t avail of the spa facilities but those that do would find that a big bonus. Kitchen facilities were great. Well located in a quiet neighborhood with access to the bus service and nearby Tabacchi shops to buy bus tickets. We were given fresh towels and coffee every day, and our room was tidied up. There’s also a Coop grocery store nearby. Would definitely recommend!

Early check-in was accommodated by very friendly staff. Newer hotel, with modern amenities. Room was large, clean and loved that we had a fridge and stove (didn't use the stove but nice it was there just in case). 10 minute walk from the train station, and about 15 minute walk to the lively piazza's and Duomo and about 20 minutes to Piazza Michelangelo. In the evening, with a bottle of wine, we enjoyed the multiple outdoor terraces, overlooking cathedrals and Duomo and the Florentine mountains. The hotel is a great home base location to see everything Florence has to offer if you're willing to walk, which in Italy, IMO there is no other way to immerse yourself into what each city has to offer. Used the pool and steam room, a welcome few hours of relaxation, before hitting the cobble stone streets again in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic coffee/takeaway food shop nearby frequented by friendly locals, plus supermarket and more than one excellent restaurant. Easy walk to buses & town. Best all-round view of historic Florence centre possible from roof terrace.

Nice table, but the rooms also badly need a desk/dressing table with a mirror one could sit at, plus a drawer for cosmetics & bits & pieces, and bedside cabinets with a drawer & a larger, safer top to put nighttime articles on, such as phone/watch/water glass/book. Easy to make perfect!

Fantastic views from the roof terraces. Rooms spacious very clean and reception staff very helpful. Although the rooms very modern they need some maintenance eg kitchen cupboards don’t close properly, neither the sink or bath plugs worked in our room in fact the bathroom sink was loose and the shower holder was also very loose.

Would liken to have had some mugs for tea and coffee and a kettle although it’s easy to boil water in a pan.

Above is feedback as we enjoyed our stay the Spa was great.

The bed was extremely comfortable. The rooftop terrace was just beautiful. We went bought some pizza from pizza taxi around the corner and some Prosecco from supermarket and it’s was a top notch dinning experience. You can also buy beverages from the hotel. They gave you a free bottle of wine and the pool after a few days of intense walking was calm, serene and warm.

Over all this is a good location and good walkability. The bus stop is across the street. The handsoap pump didn’t work in my room but I didn’t report it. I just used the soap in shower. This is a pretty decent place for a first visit to Florence. I usually travel luxury but knew I had a short time and would mainly be out the room for most of this trip. I stayed here with my 9 year old daughter. We felt safe and the staff was helpful in coordinating airport transport.

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the place very much. We stayed in room 405 and it was Very large, in clouding a balcony that wrapped around the entire side and to the front of the property where there was a view of Florence.
Two small. Things- this property is at least 20 minute walk to most attractions in Florence so just know that but, because of that we discovered a wonderful restaurant- Trattoria Cesarino- ate there twice- get the small steak Florentine.
Second: DO NOT get the jacuzzi experience!! It was a complete waste of money. The jacuzzi is on the rooftop facing Florence- sounds wonderful, right? But, no. The jacuzzi is oriented away from this so that the cover to the jacuzzi completely blocks any view except of the jacuzzi cover. Great idea, poorly executed. The last photo shows what I’m talking about.
