An ok hotel for a short stay

A quaint hotel near to the river and away from the busy city centre. A lovely walk from the hotel to Ponte Vecchio especially on a hot summer's day. The hotel itself has a sparse, modern charm - minimalist white decor, however the lack of friendliness and warmth from the concierge team (excluding the night porter, a lovely man who at least made some effort) did dampen my stay. The room itself was cosy, relatively clean however the wardrobe did not open fully because of the bed. There was a mirror at the head of the bed and then facing the wardrobe with floor to ceiling mirrors was very off-putting, I must say. Despite all of this, I would recommend this hotel for solo travellers in Florence for a short trip.

Great experience!

An unbelievably chic place with everything I could possibly need. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s on a major thoroughfare for large walking tours. The windows are thick enough to keep most of the noise out, but it does get loud and crowded at times. Otherwise it’s beautiful, excellent gym equipment, perfect location, friendly professional and responsive staff. Would absolutely stay again.

Daniele checked us in. He was magnificent: Friendly, informative and helpful. He spoke English very well. The room was small but had all the amenities. The walls were all white. Everything was clean and well kept. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Hotel is located right near the Arno River, short walk to Ponte Vecchio. The gym was anemic - the room was very small, the treadmill was broken as was the universal. That left only the stepping machine and a few free weights.

The hotel itself is really lovely however breakfast was just ok, if you just wanted continental then it was fine but my husband had the cooked breakfast each morning and each morning he had to ask for it to be put into the microwave! Not really good enough for a 4 star hotel!

Great location, short walk from centre of old town, quiet although plenty of road noise but it’s a city so can’t avoid that. Decor is very quirky, beds comfortable and showers were very good, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with wide selection. Only limitation was no bar and limited sitting areas but they do have a selection of drinks in an ‘honesty bar’ where you help yourself and write down what you’ve taken to pay later. If I return to Florence I’d stay here again, can’t say better than that really. I’d certainly recommend to friends and family.

ice place super nice check in staff. Really modern and good location. We're provided a nice bottle of wine and strawberries for our honeymoon complimentary which was lovely. We took this to the roof top terrace which is great!

Despite this good start the bed was very hard and the pillows terrible. Not only this the WiFi was appaling and the breakfast staff rude. There were other nice touches throughout but all in all quite disappointing for what you pay and the supposed 4 stars.

Unique design and appointments throughout the hotel & rooms. Wonderful breakfast area & service!
Location is a wee bit off the traveled path but that allows for a quiet room ambience. Well within 10 to 30 minutes walking distance to all notable Florence attractions as driving is NOT an option!
Upset that parking and city taxes are so high so we opted to return our car early, save the 27 euros/night but the 10 euros/night in additional city taxes was disappointing 😏

We did like that it was a small boutique type hotel. They had a nice continental breakfast. The amenities were far less than hotels with prices not that much higher that had complete restaurant, pools etc.

If you want a property with a working AC this is not the place, it was pretty much a fan.

Besides this it served our purposes and was doable...i think the price per night should be much lower.

The staff and accommodations here overdeliver for the price (especially their breakfast buffet). The rooftop view is not to be missed, either. The room wasn’t sparkling clean, but it certainly wasn’t dirty. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the main tourist locations, but nothing too strenuous. I would stay here again.

Cracking hotel!

The hotel was very good, the breakfast buffet was the best my husband and I have ever had! Exceptional staff who always had a smile. The room was excellent - the only down side being the overspill of water from the shower (although that is a very minor niggle). The view from the top floor of the hotel is superb, with great views over the city and the Arno. I would strongly recommend this hotel!
Hopefully we will get back there again.

This was our second stay at Hotel Home and we wouldn’t think about staying anywhere else. All the staff are so helpful and friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay special. We got engaged in Boboli Gardens on our first day (she said yes ) and arranged exclusive use of the terrace and dinner a few months in advance with Giuseppe. Giuseppe planned the dinner perfectly to the smallest detail including flowers and lots of candles! The setting on the terrace was out of this world and the food was the best we had on our entire trip - I wish I booked it for every night of our stay! Our room had plenty of space with a balcony where we had breakfast one morning. I cannot thank the hotel enough for making our stay special. We will be back at Home very soon ❤️

Essentially, you get what you pay for. The rooms are quite old and appear stained throughout (walls, floors, bathroom). The bed is uncomfortable and the sheets and pillows are cheap. The shower is terrible with little water pressure and no tub. It is, however, in a GREAT location and it's a great price point. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a luxury hotel -- it's a place to go when you want to be in a good location for cheap and are willing to make sacrifices for a cheap stay.

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable, although I do wish the room was a little bigger especially to store our luggage. On our last night, my fiancee and I got a ton of bug bites all over and it may have been bed bugs or a quite simply a mosquito trapped inside our room. No complaints though! Highly recommend and overall fantastic experience.

White Nights near Santa Croce

A calm oasis in the midst of bustling Florence in October. The staff are welcoming and gracious and there are always chilled drinks and little cakes available in the foyer.
The only colours are white, grey and accents of gold. My room was furnished in a spare fashion, but adequately. All was spotlessly clean and maintained so on a daily basis. The only puzzle was working out how to operate the various lighting options.
My stay at Hotel Home exceeded my expectations.

Had a fantastic time in Florence and the hotel was just the right distance from the centre . 10 minutes walk and we were right in the centre with all the sights. Quiet location , Breakfast was plentiful and comfortable. More lighting in the breakfast room would be better and more seating in the small lounge area although most people tend to be out. Receptionist was very good and helped us book various attractions. Well done.

A very contemporary and chic hotel. It was close to pretty much everything, Piazza Croce, Piazza Duomo and the Mercato. The terrace was great for sunsets, the room was comfortable and roomy; however, because it's all white, the walls need to be repaint, the shower was small and there was not much counter space in the bathroom. We were greeted every time we walked in by my last name and I absolutely loved it, very nice staff. Breakfast was okay.

The hotel overall was nice and clean for the price that we paid. Breakfast was always good! I would probably recommend, but our issue came the last night of our stay.

Because we had an extra traveler with us, we had to change our bookings. When I booked on Travelocity I always selected a room that slept three just to be sure we had enough room if our third person came, and she did. The first three nights worked out well as they just brought in a twin bed and charged us the additional amount. The last night however, they said they had to give us two rooms and charged us accordingly, which was fine. But when we came back to the hotel around nine or ten and went to this room the door opened without a key. We kept trying to get it locked but couldn't.

So we went down to the desk and asked for help. They sent up a staff and it was doing this for him too. He went and did something to the key and after a little while he said it was working, so he left. We went to get my luggage from the other room and when we came back the door was opening without a key again. I didn't feel safe and ended up sleeping in the other room with the other two ladies in a small room.

I asked in the morning about this and they said that they couldn't do anything at that time and would email me. I haven't heard anything yet, but feel I should get a refund for this room since it wasn't even used.

I will wait to hear from you before I try to contact the hotel. Thank You!

Convenient to work for me. Small boutique hotel, so not dealing with the masses of people at the larger places. Very good breakfast bar, 6:00 PM apretivo and nice rooftop terrace. Decor is fun/funky. Rooms are clean and bed was comfortable, though pillows are a little firm. Given that I was there during a heat wave of temperatures between 100-106, the AC was a true joy! I've stayed here before and will likely stay again.
PS: My room had a wonderful full-length mirror on the door of the wardrobe, but nothing over the vanity/desk, making hair styling a bit of a challenge.

The hotel looks very nice and the staff is friendly. we liked their breakfast and the soft drinks they offer all day long at the reception. at the beginning, we even liked the rooms but discovered that maybe the designer never stayed in them as a guest. there was a very small cupboard looked nice but had very little space to hang our cloths and the bathroom had no space to put our toiletries and other staff. with a shelf or more in the bathroom and a different cupboard the rooms will become much more practical

Great location, walking distance to all Florence attractions. It has a rooftop from which there is a beautiful panorama, and is perfect for catching the sunset. Breakfast was a nice spread of fresh food, and they even packed me a 'to go' breakfast when I had a 6am flight!

A Traditional Hotel with a Modern Touch

The Hotel Home Florence is a unique boutique hotel not too far from the main sights of downtown. Most major sights were with 10 to 15 minutes walk. The room was very clean and blended both traditional and modern touches. I found the WiFi a bit less than reliable though, and lunch and dinner options at the hotel lacking.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant and the rooftop bar/lounge area was small but had excellent views of Il Duomo and other major city sights. Great hotel if you want to discover Florence!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Home Hotel Florence, the location was fantastic and service was excellent. The roof terrace was the icing on the cake, we loved sitting up there in the sun enjoying a glass of wine after a day of exploring. The view from the roof terrace was truly incredible! One thing that did slightly let the hotel down was the bathroom which could do with some modernising, particularly as when you had a shower water got absolutely everywhere. Otherwise an incredible stay. We would definitely come back.

From the time we checked in at the front desk to having the workings of the hotel explained to being taken to our room and shown the roof top deck the staff were always wonderful . Called cabs suggested restaurants booked reservations . There wasn't anything the didn't do to make our stay a pleasant experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Booked into 7 rooms for a family event and everyone enjoyed the hotel. If I could change anything it would be the shower. Can't seem to figure out how to keep water off the bathroom floor in European bathrooms! Quaint rooftop terrace allowed us to celebrate into the night with a stunning view of Florence!

The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful, and the location was good - very quiet but a short walk into the city centre.
The room left a bit to be desired, especially as it was supposed to be 'deluxe'. There was nowhere to sit, other than the bed, the storage space was only two small drawers, which for 2 adutlts staying 5 nights was nowhere near enough. Every other hotel of this standard I've stayed in before provides at least body lotion or conditioner, but here we only got bottles of shampoo/shower gel, and the mini bar was a joke. In a double room there were 2 bottles of water (which at least were complimentary), 1 bottle of orange juice, 1 small bottle of Prosecco and 1 bottle of beer.
Breakfast could be a bit of a bun fight as well. Although the food was nice, seating was strange - a big breakfast bar that you all sat round, with totally impractical seats, or a couple of small tables.
Room decor was modern minimalist and all white, which was fine if a bit stark. However this showed up the foot marks on the bathroom floor and it looked a bit scruffy.

This was a great hotel! The location was close enough to walk with luggage from the train station and was very easy to find as it is on the main street of Verona. It was also very close to historic Verona with all the sights.

The hotel is very modern and our room was really nice (best mattress we had on vacation!)! The breakfast was also very nice!

This was a great hotel for a short winter break. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the room thermostat worked effectively to ensure the heating could be adjusted for cold nights. Excellent bathroom with shower and bidet. Room was on first floor but no noise from street. The only minus is the breakfast arrangement - a good breakfast but seating is limited and on communal tables and high benches. It was clear we were not the only guests to dislike this arrangement. Overall though I would recommend staying here.

Really nice hotel

Amazing views from the rooftop terrace, the hot tub was boarded over as it was in October but presumably it's open in the summer. The mini bar was always stocked but maybe more selection would be better. There were free canapés around 5pm and drinks available to purchase, however, on the Saturday there was a DJ and €10 for a drink with canapés, we were not given prior notice of this event and didn't want to spend €20 on 2 drinks so we went straight up to our room.

nice hotel at eastern edge of town center

The hotel and its location are fine although I might have underestimated the 5 minute walk at the end of the day away from Santa Croce, further away from town center. The staff is very, very hospitable and accommodating. The whole setup has a nice welcoming feeling.

Friendly and quiet, lovey stay

Great hotel, new but fantastic service. It was my fiancée's birthday they gave him a lovely tray of pastries and red wine with a card. They recommended great places to eat and overall very nice atmosphere. Would definitely stay again

The hotel was charming, the décor white with a lot of glass, the staff was very helpful. The unusual treat however was a fourth floor deck that provided 360 degree view of
Florence, the Arno river, the Duomo. We spent a pleasant two hours taking pictures enjoying the views and the quiet, We had requested a quiet room with no street noise and got it. The breakfast buffet was fabulous.

Great hotel with wonderful amenities and a very friendly/helpful staff. The rooms were clean, although a bit on the small side. All staff members were extremely kind and willing to help whenever necessary. The daily free breakfast was lovely and included a wide variety of fruits, yogurt, cereal, nuts, pastries, eggs and bacon among other items.

Great hotel staff

The breakfast spread was excellent, hot food: bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs. Freshly baked pastries: croissants with plenty of nutella spread, cakes. Had their double shot cappucino every morning. Great waiting staff.

The staff was wonderful! Breakfast and snacks in the afternoon wonderful. On the outskirts of the tourist region so quiet but still perfectly walkable. Bed was uncomfortable, but this seems standard for the price range on our Italy trip.

Nice hotel. Clean and new

We liked staying here. Nice modern decorations. Lovely breakfast with homemade coffee cakes every day. Would recommend. A few blocks of walking will be required to get to most of the sites most visitors would want to go to but not too far.
