It was okay . I got lucky i used the fawlty toaster and it tripped the circuit. It was 4.30 if it had happened 30 minutes later ( no person after 5pm) i would have been powerless and in the dark . I told tte reception lady that toaster is fawlty and even after leaving i emailed on behalf of the next occupants to remove the fawlty toaster. I didn't even get the courtesy of a reply

The communication before hand was brilliant as I'd made a mistake filling in the online forms, this was rectified easily.
I was apprehensive about the check in process being a machine outside as I was arriving around 10:30pm alone with 2 children. But it was quick and easy to check in and the machine issues your room key.

The hotel is very modern. The rooms are spacious and clean. Very close to malls and transport. The mall is just across the hotel and the train was a 5-10 minutes walk. Also there’s some shops surrounding the area. It was a quiet area with the room equipped with a kettle and basic necessities like tissues, towels and hairdryer.

Registration process to get keys after hours was very easy! Plus Gran Via 2 is right across the street so great shopping experience! The bathroom was the only thing I wasn’t so happy with because there was no way to stop the water from splashing outside but other then that, the bedroom, lobby, kitchen was very clean and convenient.

The area around the hotel is not the prettiest and a bit far from the centre (25 -30 minutes at best) and do not feel like the real Barcelona vibe, for example the buildings around the hotel are not pretty and so do not reflect the typical Barcelona architecture that you see in more central areas. There are not many restaurants around. The hotel is comfortable and the stuff are attentive. There is a mall very close by and great for shopping but nothing else happening around.

Despite arriving only one hour before the official check-in time of 3:00 PM, the hotel charged us an additional $50 for early check-in. This seemed excessive, especially considering our situation.
Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. The room had multiple issues: the dishwasher wasn’t working, there was no washer or dryer available, and they didn’t provide a highchair for our kids. To make matters worse, the reception was completely unmanned after 6:00 PM, which was incredibly inconvenient.
After going out for dinner with my family, we returned to the hotel only to find the reception closed and our keycards not working to access the entrance. We were locked out for a long time, and only after another guest opened the door for us were we able to get inside. However, the same issue persisted with our room key, leaving us stranded outside our room. We tried calling customer service multiple times, but no one responded, and when we finally reached someone, they promised to send help. It took nearly five hours before anyone showed up to resolve the issue.

We booked Ona Living because of the location. The hotel is right across from Gran Via 2 mall and there are few restaurants and small supermarkets around (nothing fancy). Taxis were easily available around the mall to take us to city center and going to the airport in the morning was a breeze (around 10mins).
The hotel is fine. Room was very clean, though there were some signs of wear and tear. Adequately equipped for longer stays. The area is not the most touristic but it was fine.

Major shopping mall across the road and restaurants all around (including takeaways). When I read some of reviews online. I was doubtful however I decided to go ahead and it was the correct choice. Bus, train, underground connecting to all parts of main attractions is literally 4 mins walking distance. From property, we were most out and used the property for sleeping and showering. We had more than enough towels for family of four. Plenty of clean sheets . Fridge door didn't close properly, and there was bit of damage on door. But this happens even at home because people live and use the property and it can get damaged. I loved Barcelona and enjoyed my stay at one living. Our flight was late therefore we reached very late but they had shared the instructions on check in. The instructions were very easy and we had no problem check in. I would definitely book it again if I am visiting Barcelona.

Where do I begin? We checked in via the machine in front of the building, the passports wouldn’t scan so had to enter all the info manually which was a hassle and it took a while. Everything was fine until I tried to put on the kettle to heat up the milk for the baby. At that moment the power went out and we were left sitting in the dark in the apartment. I checked the switch board to see if I can fix the problem but nothing worked. I sent a message to the emergency number provided by the apartment but nobody replied. In my many years of travelling I have never experienced anything like this. Not to have anyone in the entire building that can assist in situations such as this one is simply outrageous. We had to fumble in the dark the entire night. We couldn’t even charge our phones because the electricity was out in the entire apartment. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement and like I said I have never had such a bad experience with accommodation in my entire life. I wrote to the reception to make a complaint about the stay and they simply ignored my email. Have not yet received a reply.

The apartment had everything you needed especially for long stays in terms of cooking utensils, I would only say the lack of fresh towels and the ants. It’s a hot country so the ants are understandable but I’ve been to other hot countries and they don’t really have an ant problem. Ants can’t kill you so overall 4/5 and it was a good place to stay.

This is well situated about 30 minutes from the airport, and Segrada Familia. There is a huge shopping centre opposite with a large supermarket which is excellent and lots of shops, but we found quite limited dining unless you want fast food. The only thing was the air-conditioning is quite loud at night, we had a clicking above us, but it wasn’t too bothersome. The excuse every day for a week was that was an issue in the area which was rubbish as the shops round the corner had wif.
I called the after hours and no one picked up and every time i spoke to the VERY RUDE reception person he said nothing he can do its an area thing.
I asked him to open safe and fix the other issues and only the safe was opened after 3 days out of my 4.
