Location was great and the room was clean and comfortable. I was a little disappointed with the cost though, but understand that they charge for location and being that it’s walking distance to the convention centre, it’s understandable. But the room was still expensive for what you get. Everything else was nice.

This property is not far from a Metro line, which was GREAT. The property grounds could use some TLC as it looks grubby and unkempt. The interior spaces were good, clean and nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was nothing special.

We stayed 2 nights prior to getting on a cruise. The hotel was outdated. The rooms were in poor condition. There was no in room wifi even though it says it when you book. There is no safe or drawers in the room. A small hanging bar with 5 hangers and a small shelf. The bathroom was very outdated. They had an all in one wash in the shower. No lotion either.

This Travelodge is situated in a commercial area right next to the Barcelona trade fair halls and only15 mins from the airport. Nothing much in the immediate area, but there a big mall approx. 20 mins walking time. Limited dining on site, only a snack bar. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel is good value if you don´t need to be in the city centre or for an overnight.

Honestly imagine a Motel 6 and then go down a step. There were rust stains in our bathroom and a washer and screw for the cap where you pull up to have the water go through the shower head. The front desk people were very nice - the condition of the hotel is very lacking. WiFi only in the lobby? That is honestly just cheap. And the cost was not much less than the very nice hotels close by. The location is very close to a metro line though!

The property was good and quite area. However it was a little far from the tour bus location or main attractions. Shopping center was close but the facilities were not good. No kettle, iron, dryer, less options for breakfast no beans, no enhlish breakfast tea etc. Otherwise the price was decent.

Room was clean and beds were very comfortable. We asked where we could get something to eat and front desk gave us great information. We also forgot to pack a converter for a European plug to US, and front desk lent us one and a hair dryer. Would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for one night before we boarded our cruise ship.

They make pay for the WiFi in your room which is a no no in my book. I had to go to the lobby to use the WiFi. They charge 10 euros for the breakfast but I was disappointed the eggs taste average and the bacon wasn’t the best. The only that was missing is home fries which would at least made the breakfast worth it but they don’t make it here

The hotel is everything i wanted, super clean, friendly and helpful staff and at an affordable price. I didn't expect much from Travelodge, but this is a super spartan hotel, no frills, very basic. No dinner. I was staying for a conference, so hugely expensive this week for what you get. The Wifi I paid for didn't work well for 2 days. On Day 3 I asked reception staff to re-set their router and fix Wifi. That helped, but was hard to work from the room.

Just a little closer to the city centre and it would be convenient for those who prefers to walk around and perhaps a fridge and a safe to store your valuables but other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful, a nice tidy and spacious accomodation and a quiet area.

Travelodge Barcelona Fira is conveniently located to the Fira Conference center. It is only a 5-8 minute walk to the south entrance. The lobby area was fine and offered a breakfast buffet for 10 euros. The room is no frills which is expected from the Travelodge brand but the bed was comfortable and the room was pretty clean. However, the air conditioner was the issue. I was in the hotel for a week. First night, no problem cool air and comfortable. Second night the air did not work and I had to open the window. Mosquitoes entered the room during the night and had me for a meal. In the morning I informed the front desk. They sent someone to the room to check it out and they did something to put the system into a 'centralized' configuration. Each I informed the front desk the AC did not work. Each morning the same person would tell me they would look into it. Each evening the AC would work for a short time then quit. The last night, the front desk person (I believe her name was Litita) provided a fan and really tried to fix the AC which she said was a new system. That was the only real help I received. During the week, no offer to move to another room, no offer of compensation, just attitude and questioning if I knew how to operate an AC system that was configured to be operated by the front desk. None of the controls in the room worked. This is the worst hotel stay I have experienced.

Very poor room facilities. You could ask for a kettle, for a charge, but then you need to supply your own tea, coffee etc. No hairdryer, safe, bottled water. Basically a room with a tv. Not the standard I expected, you would not have rooms like this in the UK.

Basic TraveLodge property in the Barcelona Fair area. Close to all fair events and also to the airport, and about 15 minutes taxi ride to Barcelona city centre. No full restaurant and not much in the immediate area, especially in the evening, but there´s a big mall and a lot of restaurants within walking distance. \"Economy class\" rooms, but that´s what you get with TraveLodge anywhere.

It was ok. The room was cramped for three people, the twin bed wasn't ready we have to get it ready for the third person. We arrived around 11 pm at night you would think the room should be ready for 3 people it was only for 2 as we have to ask for extra towels. We paid for 3 breakfast that same night then the morning after the lady ask for us to write all our names.

This place had a very bad bleach smell that was very irritating. I kept coughing and couldn't stay at this place. We had to leave immediately. The place looked nothing like the pictures. The second floor was completely destroyed and under renovations. The room didn't have any amenities as described on Expedia. It didn't have a fridge, soap, safe, blow drier or ANYTHING. WIFI was not even FREE. Never staying there AGAIN! HORRIBLE!

Beautiful historical friendly Barcelona stay

Stayed 2 days after our cruise.
Need to compliment the front desk and breakfast area staffs, namely Jane, Lillian and lady native of Barcelona ( sorry did not get her name). Friendly &helpful . Place is kept clean and safe.
However missing are the usual coffee maker and refrig or ice bucket that we are used to having. Location is in light industrial area far from tourist attractions but quite close to the great metro system of Barcelonas including access to the airport.

This Travelodge is in the Barcelona Fair area, which is about halfway between city centre and airport (15 minutes either way in car or taxi). It´s a modern and well-kept property and the staff are and efficient and friendly. Limited dining at the hotel and not much in the immediate area, but there´s a big mall nearby which has everything. Good value-for-money hotel for a short stay.

There was a concert nearby with loud music that lasted until 6am.

With closed windows the noise inside the room was 60-70 decibels. With open windows it was over 80 decibel. I have taken video recordings of this noise inside the room with a closed window in the night. We could not have possibly slept with this noise, even when using earplugs the noise was too loud.

I would like to ask whether the concerts are a usual occurrence near the hotel i.e. every weekend, or was this just a one off?

I raised my complaint with the receptionist Lorena in the morning. She was very unprofessional and rude in our interaction. In her own words she said that I should have noticed the people and the party set up nearby so that I would know that there would be noise in the night before booking it! This is a very unprofessional thing to say to a customer aiming to make them feel they are wrong, just for expecting normal sleep conditions at night.

However we couldn’t sleep during a night when a gay party was nearby, they played super loud music from midnight to 7 am and we had no chance to move rooms, it was awful. At least the hotel should provide ear plugs or double glazed windows.

Staff are NOT FRIENDLY, We are NOT welcome!!! We booked this hotel because of the good review and good rating. We understand that we are 45mins early from Check-in time, but a welcoming greetings and a proper guest service explanation as to why we can't do early check in would be a better way to do it, rather than saying NO you cant check in and shake your head and roll your eyes on us. We are a large group coming from a long flight, we dont need to be treated like this, we are also a frequent traveller and this is our worst experience with customer service and we are very very disappointed with this experience. And ALSO, there are signs and posters posted infront that says Early Check-in and i would say don't put your ads that way its a lie. So so disappointed!!!

Everything in this place comes with an additional fee.

No sure what is the smoking policy but you could smell cigarettes in the hallways and even in the room.

Quiet room during Barcelona airport shutdown.

So grateful to find a hotel when stuck in Barcelona during the protests. We had stayed up all night in the airport, and really appreciated the quiet room, clean and comfy bed. We slept like logs.

The property was fine, but it was located in the middle of an industrial park, so there was nowhere to get a bite to eat while we waited for our room to be ready, or when we headed out at 5 a.m.

I chose the hotel because it’s across from the convention center. Taxis are required to get anywhere else. The room is plain, but functional if it’s mostly for sleep and showers. There are no clothes drawers for example. No TV station in English. The bathroom and shower were fine.
The staff was really friendly and efficient. There is 24 hour food available in the lobby and it was surprisingly good and cheap. It’s not a restaurant.
In all, for the price it was reasonable if you can get along with a minimum and don’t need to be spoiled in any way.

No reason to stay at this hotel unless you just need a place to stay for an early morning flight. One block to the L9 Metro. Nice staff. Free WiFi only in lobby. Limited food choices at hotel. Long walk to a shopping center with restaurants. Don’t be mislead by your GPS. You can’t cut through the convention center to get to the mall.

Staff spoke perfect English (which was great as international travelers), the room was lovely, beds shockingly comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast in the morning. It was noisy and next to petrol station, the cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable as I discovered a toe nail and hair in the bath, the bed covers were thin and the air con doesn’t work for more than an hour as the hotel turn this off to save money. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I wouldn’t stay here again, completely over priced.

Firstly: Fantastic location for the airport. 3 minute walk from the brand new Fira metro station, which is 20 minutes direct to the airport.

Basic and clean - exactly what you expect and need. Only problem was the aircon which was fixed on and at a fixed temperature making the room ridiculously cold at night.
