The room was in a inside hallway closd to the entrance, noisy and the mini fridge was also noisy we had to umplug it, hotel needs multiple upgrades including the shower head.

Difficult to find property as it fronts on a board walk that used to be a street. Very difficult to get luggage from a car ,that may have to park a considerable distance from hotel.

The location is ideal for access to the beach. The rooms are just ok. There were two beds in our room and the single bed was old, uncomfortable and miss-shapen. The staff was nice! It would be nice if they offered coffee in a dispenser at a common location for guests.

The hotel is well located. However other than a very basic and small room there are no other services. Not even coffee inside the hotel. The hotel did not honor the Expedia reservation, cancelling it without alerting us nor Expedia, and upon check in time, they asked us to do so with a new reservation directly with the hotel and at a higher price.

My room doesn't have a outside window. The window in the picture is to the corridor so even if you want to sleep there is still light in your room. Next door(inside of the hotel) is a small counter to sell snacks and I'm 5 meters away from the front desk I can hear people work on something at 6am in the morning and people talking around 10pm. There is a switch for hot water, if you didn't turn on the switch long enough before your shower you water will get cold very soon. I lost the key (a non-contact magnetic card) and they charged me for 250 pesos. The pros are the room is basic clean and the staffs are nice.

The location is great. First line, easy access to the beach. Our room was spacious and clean, everything works. I'd recommend to replace a shower head and a toilet seat as they both were loose.

Clean rooms, minimal effort by front desk staff.

Location is across from the beach. Hotel is nice and clean. Willingness of staff to extend any effort was minimal. I left a full bottle of sun tan lotion at the pool, went back shortly and sit was gone - staff just shrugged their shoulders and said hadn’t seen it despite camera on the pool. When I checked out at noon I asked to use the pool until I was getting picked up at 2pm and they said “no”. Based on that indifference and unwillingness to make any effort beyond the basic minimum, I would not stay there again. Just that slight effort tips here scale from a great stay to an annoying stay.

Fantastic location right across the road from the beach. A foot shower in the hotel lobby for when you return from the beach. Didn't use the pool but it looks clean. Fan & aircon worked well. Could open the many windows to freshen air with a nice seabreeze. Stayed in a 2 bed room with a kitchenette. Very spacious. Peculiar arrangement of doors in the bedroom/bathroom...I had a bit of a scare when I first entered and couldn't find the bathroom b/c if the bedroom door is open, you can't enter/see the bathroom. Shower has 2 dials: cold and less cold. Sheets and pillowcases had a few marks/stains on them but I wouldn't say it was bad. No in room safe. Pleasant staff. I would return.

Good beach home away from home

Hotel and Suites Domani is in a very good location. The hotel looked like it has had some updates done and it appeared to have been getting some updates while we were there but we were never awaken by any construction noise so that was great. The pool area was well kept and clean. You have the beach right across from the hotel and the Mercado is a good 4 blocks away walking distance. The kitchenware, table, microwave and fridge came in very handy. It legitimately has a door to close off the kitchen area and felt like we were in a little condo. The only downfall was that there is no elevator access so if you have a stroller that can be a little challenging. Also the pool towels were quite small and run down. Overall, I would return to stay here again.

Great beach home for the weekend

I loved that the hotel was very spacious and very close to the beach. It was also walking distance to the Mercado. The customer service was nothing to complain about. They were courteous and friendly. We booked one night and ended up booking to stay a second night. The kitchenete was very convenient because we had a dining table, microwave, stove top and kitchen ware to cook and have dinner indoors with the AC. The only down fall we’re the pool towels and the fact that you needed to keep the room key on the AC. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but for the price of the room, I’d say it was a steal.
The hotel was super quiet.

When I booked the room, the pictures are very deceiving. When we arrived we were taken to a very tiny room with 2 beds and no windows. We did complain and they put us in a little bigger room with sliding glass door with pool view. The beds only have a sheet and one blanket was provided for a room with 2 beds, the internet didn't work in this room and they provide 2 towels (no wash clothes). We ended up upgrading and paying extra for a view with a kitchenette and ocean view the next 2 nights. The location is good but the hotel is nothing to write home about.

The staff are Awesome and very helpful. They keep the hotel very clean. The seaside rooms seem to have been updated but not sure about the interior rooms. They are a little more dated but that is also reflected in the price. Stayed for five days and really have no complaints.

Great value and location, right by the main amenities and beach, close to everything, clean. Some things like cookware, dishes, coffee maker, are available under request which is very convenient for a long stay. My only request will be pillow top mattresses. Be aware there’s stairs only.

Nice clean hotel on the malecon. We only stayed one night and had a pool view room. It was a comfortable little 2 room suite. When we return to Progresso for more than one night Id book an ocean view when we stay here again. Great price, clean, across the street from the beach.

I tried to extend my stay by 1 day. I was unable to communicate with ANY of the staff verbally. I used the Translate App on my phone to explain that I needed an extension. What ended up happening is, I was charged for TWO ROOMS for the SAME DAY. I called Expedia to see if they could explain. My refund was DENIED and I have been charged for a room that I did not stay in.

We enjoyed our time. Being on the malecon was excellent..2 minutes to the beach and wonderful for evening walks. We had a kitchenette with basic cookware etc. However all you need to do is ask and they wlll supply what they have. Pool always kept clean. My husband enjoyed having a Gym. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Domani staff were great at getting us a room with no notice. The pool looked amazing, but didn't get to take a dip. The rooms were clean. Wish there had been a coffee maker in room, but for only one night it was fine. Thanks Domani!

No internet

The internet service was unacceptable and that’s why I gave it a low score. The internet would come and go constantly. When we got to the hotel they gave us a slip with the internet info. It had a different address on it so I had to go down to get the correct ID. Service was bad so I asked at the desk and they said the equipment is in a couple of other rooms, so I hooked up with another room and it had the same bad service. We were basically left with extremely bad internet and we had an important contract to do.
The hotel itself is very nice and clean and it’s in a great location. If you can do without internet it’s a good place to stay.

Very nice hotel on the Malecon.

Hotel Domani has to be the cleanest place we've ever stayed and that includes luxury resorts! The staff is great. We enjoyed their small pool and the beautiful beach across the street. Perfect location right on the Malecon. You can walk everywhere. We highly recommend Hotel Domani. It's an incredible value!

We had a great 4 days there! Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, specialy gentleman on night shift . We got there a lot later than expected and he made things very smooth for us and was always very helpful . The hotel is right on the malecon directly across from the beach. We had a front suite on the second floor, room 7, excellent view. It was amazing to wake up to the view we had. Although we had a dirty dish left in the sink when we checked in, the room was always very clean. The mattresses are not the best but the price for the room oversees that. I strongly recommend this place and you can't beat the price nor location.

Location, Location, Location

Best location on the Malecon. Pay the extra for a room overlooking the Gulf. Incredible value, impeccably clean with pool, air, ceiling fan, WIFI and equipped kitchen with basic needs. Restaurants, grocery and shopping are all walkable. Hotel reception is incredibly helpful and staffed 24 hours. There is constant activity on the Malecon which is great for people watching. There is some noise from the street, but if you want quiet you wouldn't stay in Progreso. The noise does not go late and the Milk Bar next store plays the best music, so you get free entertainment and a great restaurant that offers a discount to guests of the hotel. Would definitely stay at the Domani Suites again.

Very nice staff at the reception let us check-in in advance. Suite is very clean, very modern kitchen a,d lots of storage in bedroom. The \"partial\" vies rooms are a bit akward, the balconies are closed in and the windows of other rooms open onto the balconies so very little privacy.l

Perfect location!

We spent four nights at Hotel Domani. The weather wasn't great so we were not able to enjoy the lovely beach. The hotel is well located and the facilities were wonderful. There was construction going on at the hotel which made the pool area not very desirable. The staff were friendly enough but not outgoing. The room was very large and although there were some cooking facilities they did not supply cooking supplies. (i.e. no filters for the coffee maker).

Las habitaciones sencillas son muy costosas para la experiencia que ofrecen. Los colchones son pésimos , muy viejos. El personal es muy bueno, dispuesto a ayudar. No escogí habitación vista al mar porque ya no había disponible, quizás eso hubiera mejorado mi estancia.
