The staff was very nice and the location in Salou is great. I'm not sure I would call this a 4 star hotel, but it is affordable and clean. There was a laundry bag in the room, but when I brought the bag full of laundry to the front desk, I was informed the service is closed for the winter. Strange.

Additionally, our room was hot and we asked about how to use the AC, to which they said the AC is turned off in the entire building for winter. We had to sleep with the window open, which was noisy at times.

The staff at the Cook & Travel restaurant were very nice, especially my guy Ice Cube.

Handy hotel for beach

Lovely hotel, great rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff.
I booked a superior double for the balcony….it was tiny! You couldn’t fit a chair out there and should not have been advertised as a balcony.
The roof top pool was very disappointing….only 2 loungers woulx fit by the pool. Loungers were on a stepped down area from pool but were covered by beams so if sunbathing for too long you’d be a zebra!

The room was small but clean, at first ,balcony is small and air-conditioning didn't work , started to leak and wallpaper peeling off walls , the skirting board came out from the wall due to leak from air conditioner unit, the fridge is small in the room, directly across the road is a building site where they are building apartments , very noisy all day , and walls are not sound proofed could hear the neighbours up until 3am every night , they were not necessarily loud just the walls are thin. After paying for a late check out I had another couple walk into the room while I was in the shower and my belongings around, was told it never went through the systemWill not stay again

Waiting to check into the property at guests in front of us had a complaint which was leaving them unhappy, this should have been the first red flag.
This establishment is based in a back street, of a residential area of salou, surrounded buy the constant smell of cannabis and graffiti filled dark dirty streets. Tiny room and tiny balcony. Poorly staffed reception.
My partner got lost and locked out in a service area in the middle of the hotel for over two hours and we were subsequently put out of the hotel the next day. Without the option to speak with management or a refund for the remainder of or stay.

I was woken up at 2am by crashing and banging and people walking up and down in shoes. Also a very loud bang it’s too close to residential flats so no peace. It’s not a 4** property and lacks frills ( no tea and coffee) bedding old and worn. Certainly not comfortable.

Minimalist style but quite attractive and pleasant. The hotel is very centrally located and minutes to the ocean on foot. I did not dine in the restaurant but it has a Michelin star. The staff was helpful and the desk people spoke perfect English.

Very friendly and helpful. There wasn’t a vast variety of breakfast but I visited out of season but enough choice to suit everyone. Be mindful not a lot going on in Salou town in January but still a lovely place to relax

The beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in and the rooms were very basic and dated we stayed for 4 days didn't even have clean sheets once no tea/coffee making facilities plastic cups that we had to keep for our entire stay and only two bottles of water when we first arrived. Breakfast was OK nothing special all in all this hotel was nothing like what was portrayed on the website I feel very let down

Good location, awesome staff. However, you can hear everything from the rooms next to you. I traveled with a 10 months old baby and people next to us where a bit loud but the walls made super easy to hear everything, literally everything, some parts where inappropriate to hear. My night there wasn’t a pleasant night.

The location was why I chose this hotel. However I found it soulless with no empathy displayed to me whatsoever. The room was adequate, but the bathroom like many in Spain had a rotten smell in it,but this was also present in the bath towels, something I have never experienced before so I chose not to use. The TV had 3 English news channels only which all were impossible to view at the picture was pixelated. The maintenance man did try to resolve but once switched off, it reverted back. The rooms were noisy with other room doors being slammed at all hours, but the main issue was the sound of running water which seemed to happen when any of the surrounding rooms used the toilet. I was on the 3rd floor. This woke me up most nights. Did I report this to reception - NO, This is an inherit problem within the building. The main receptionist on during the day I found to be clinical to say the least. The WiFi kept dropping out and I had issues accessing my emails within the hotel. I cannot see me staying there again, based on this experience.

Well-located. Stayed there during the Danone Nations Cup that took place at Complex Esporitu de Salou. It was about a 20 minute walk and located right across the street from Lidl. Highly recommend this hotel.

I was traveling with a friend so requested 2 single beds when booked. When got there told no they didn’t have that on that day that we would have one double bed. She kept saying no it’s no possible but could move rooms the next day . We were only there for 3 days so didn’t want to move rooms when I had requested on time of booking. This was really poor service but after much arguing we got a room with 2 double beds

Good location a few minutes from the beach, very clean room, comfy pillow and bed, nice pool but seating area around it not big enough and not enough sun beds.
Good breakfast, rooms basic and lacking in hooks for clothes and towels, no shelves in the bathroom for toiletries.

Real mixed bag.

1. 2 ladies on reception were amazing. Super friendly and helpful. The lady running dining room was lovely - and worked so hard.

The bar man was rude and unfriendly. Didn't want to help. The waiter was the same in restaurant.

2. No room service after 1030pm??? Ridiculous.

3. Room was hot. Air unit was set to winter temperature (end of April). No fans for room.

4. No bottled water the one morning we chose to have room made over.

5. Breakfast was a huge spread but not enough hot choice for vegetarians.

6. Pool was nice.

*location is one end of town/strip. Didn't mind walk as it's the beach. Loads of restaurants nearby and supermarkets.

Wouldn't stay again.

Nice hotel, great staff all very helpful.

Nice hotel. Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful giving great information on where to go and what to do. We book a quadruple room which was very small (kids 13 & 15) we asked for an upgrade and for a small fee they offered us an apartment which was 5 star and made our holiday. Can’t praise them enough.

This hotel should not be rated 4 star, you have to pay extra to use the hot tub, rooms are basic and most are without a view. Nice enough but very over priced for what you get!! Plenty of other places are much better for cheaper and you won't have to pay extra to use the hot tub.

Disappointing doesn't come close

hotels.com and the hotel website clearly state that rooms are \"fully air conditioned\" which they are not, not in 'Winter'... it was 24° daytime temperature, couple that to the EMPTYminibar fridge pumping out hot air (its how they work) and a room that has a small window which opens into an enclosed, 6 storey + courtyard and you basically bake in your room...

We were moved to a front facing room after the first night, this had a balcony and a patio door that could be left open, this offered no temperature control and was noisy...

Breakfast, I sssume the lone waitress puts out various items at 07:30, no tables are cleaned in between opening and closing of breakfast, food items are not topped up, we gave up on breakfast and ate out...

There is no way I would rate this hotel 4 stars...

Very nice hotel. No more than 5 min from the beach. Very clean and staff is very polite. The area is not the busiest at night but 10 min walk and you will get to the bar and restaurants area of Salou. The breakfast was quite good, however I was missing some english breakfast. In overall I would recomend this hotel to everyone.

Quiet hotel and a lovely location

The hotel was pleasant, clean and the breakfast was good. The location was perfect, beach, bus stop and restaurants at your doorstep. I found that the receptionist with the white framed glasses could be more helpful and maybe a little more friendly. This has such an impact on the hotel as the receptionist is the first person you met and deal with and would hope that they will help and advice you, especially if this is your first time in Salou. Now saying this the women that I first met on reception was very helpful but sadly she was off when I needed advice on buses to the airport. If you want a quite location but all amenities close by, this is for you.

Lovely hotel in a great part of town.

Close to the beach and lots of restaurants and shopping. Easy to get around and a taxi to PortAdventura is about $11 and only 10 minutes. The room was modern and clean, but a little small, especially after pulling out the couch bed for our daughter. Excellent staff and restaurant and the pool was beautiful.

Hotel in very good location

The room consider small and the floor is not clean.
Depend on your luck, you may not have a good night sleep, because the sound insulation is very bad, you can hear someone talking, walking, closing door, and making love....
Second night, next room came back at 4am and making lot of noise, we can't continue our sleep, that was the worse night.

The good thing of this hotel is the location, it is very close to the beach and public transport.

Hotel was lovely and in a great location. The walk to the beach was less than 2 minutes! The restaurant was being renovated while we stayed so that was disappointing. There are only 8 sun loungers around the roof top pool which was also disappointing, if you didn't get them early, chances were that you weren't getting them at all that day. Staff were friendly, especially in the bar.

Hotel was limited in how it looked after the person, with limited in room facilities (bottle of water on first night but then not replaced), no coffee/tea making facility, dingy breakfast area in basement, quality of food for breakfast limited. Not a 4* hotel.

The hotel was ok. Bed was ok, breakfast ok, just expensive. It's walking distance from the railway station and the beach front. If you like Salou you could consider this hotel just bear in mind it does not quite feel like a 4 star. I found Salou beaches to be overcrowded and the place masstouristy. Better spend your time in barcelona!

OK, but more a good quality 3* rather than 4*

Clean and tidy hotel, although I would not classify it as 4*, more like a decent 3*. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was extra but I suppose in Salou its very difficult to park so it was a bonus that they had their own spaces. Breakfast was really basic and probably why I would rate this as 3*.But all in all the price to vale-for-money ratio was correct.

Salou in comfort

The Regente Aragon hotel is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Situated in the Old Town area of Salou it is a five minute walk from the fantastic beaches and promenades of the town. There are many small boutiques and interesting shops nearby and the restaurants are excellent. We would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to visit Salou.

The staff were very friendly and helpful although our room wasn't up to the standard we expected for a four star hotel. Our mini bar was empty and although in the hotel description it said bathrobes were supplied, they weren't. It was also quite expensive considering breakfast wasn't included and we paid nearly 20 euro for one breakfast there. The indoor pool was only heated one of the days and the sauna and gym were closed during our stay.

A hidden Gem in Salou

Great hotel, not much to look at from the outside but very comfortable and welcoming inside. Executive rooms are well worth the extra, staff smiling and great welcome. few minutes walk to the train station which takes you to Barcelona in 90 minutes. Easy walk to seafront and buses. Lovely pastry shop around the corner.
Lovely roof top pool, glassed in and comfortable temperature and depth.

Kick off your stay in Salou from the centre of everything

This a very good quality, friendly 4 star hotel with all the amenties you wish for in a base camp for your stay in Salou. I arrived by train and found myself 150 metres from the hotel so not far to walk with my case, and left from nearby Reus airport, Ryanair's latest discovery, only 10 minutes away by taxi, 25 euros. The hotel itself is 100 metres from the centre of an extensive, 2 mile or so beach and is on the main Carrer de Barcelona road on which most of Salou's shops can be found. At the beach, turn right, south, and enjoy a pleasant walk to the next town of Cambrils which boasts a number of historic monuments. Turn left, north, and walk along a hugely impressive promenade and takes in a great selection of shops and restaurants, try El Toro - the best Calamares I have EVER had. At the end of the beach, try Carrer de Saragossa for bargains in the \"street market\" or walk around the bay and browse from a selection of menus in the array of restaurants that I promise will give you a spectacular sunset to remember.

Avoid, not a 4 stars not even 3...no coffe machine, no kettle, tiny bed, they advertise Spa but there is no SPA, all in all just a scam of a hotel

Très satisfaite de mon séjour

Besoin ni de plus ni de moins, chambre impeccablement propre, équipée de climatisation, douche à italienne et lit hyper confortable ! Pour un prix raisonnable surtout pour ma part j’ai réservé le jour même, j’hésiterai pas à revenir !
