Reception is a mess, staff disheveled, driveway and parking were great, but you’ll run into workers in uniform and aprons smoking out the back door of the kitchen. Location was fantastic and walkable to the towns other hotels, pubs and shops. Skip the breakfast, even if included. Still a good stay.

I foubd an anti-depressant tablet by the side of of bed , there is still rubbish under it. The room clearly had not been cleaned prior to my arrival. Nor did anyone bother to clean it after i reported finding the tabket, a chikd or oet ciukd have easily found and eaten it.The bathroom was full of black mould, the ceiling, the tiles and the shower cubicle need to be bleached and cleaned correctly, I have asthma and my travelling companion has COPD. We not expecting to find mould.

The accommodation offered both hotel and bunkhouse options which is misleading as this states it is a hotel. The bathroom was well-maintained, although the room was situated next to a fan and the bed was quite firm which made it very hard to sleep. The quality of the staff's service varied, depending on the timing of interaction.

Sorry I don’t like leaving a poor review but !! My room was miserable solo room , window lock was broken so couldn’t leave on latch , the very small shower room wasn’t very clean , asked to have money back to leave but couldn’t as manager had gone on holiday !I was offered another room but that was worse , mouldy lamp shades /curtains. Crack in the sink , hair in the bath plug hole , furniture all shabby … lamps and kettle not working but got them fixed by a lovey handy man …some staff didn’t speak , others were lovely … glad to come home early

Me and my friend really looked forward to our stay after hiking and camping in rainy weather in Snowdonia. We booked specifically for the spa, so were beyond disappointed upon arrival, when we were told that we could not book a slot in the spa because all slots were being saved for GroupOn guests which had this feature included in a deal - but who might or might not even want to use the spa!
Despite there being free slots, we were not allowed to book one. I am absolutely appalled by this - hence the low rating. I think that if you have a deal on which prevents other guests to enjoy their stay fully, then send out an email and give us a chance to book elsewhere. After begging and getting a bit annoyed, the person at reception finally gave us a 5pm slot - only because some GroupOn guests had not arrived in time.
2nd disappointment: no hot water in the room, showered in freezing water.
The 3rd disappointment came when we wanted to book a table for dinner. At check-in we were told that we could decide re dinner later. At 6pm we tried to book at any time they had a table free, we were flexible. Only to be told that everything was fully booked. Surprised that a hotel doesn't do more than one sitting, we could see the dining room currently had plenty of room. But we ate elsewhere and came back just after 8pm. To find an abandoned dining room and a half-empty bar! Must've been a crammed hour of dinner service while we were away!!

Breakfast had lots of choice including a cooked breakfast (and an option to provide a sausage for the dog). Only very minor criticisms - breakfast starts at 8 - seems quite late for a weekday stay. The property is probably due a bit of a refresh but it certainly wouldn't stop us staying there again.

Our room was charming and comfortable and the breakfast was hearty. This was a great location to get to the trailheads to the summit as well as.many forest hikes. It was very convenient to the Sherpa bus stop to.take the bus to trailheads and to Caenarfon Castle. The only limitation was the small car park but there are several pay car parks nearby.

I stayed at this property alone after climbing snowdon. Easy check in, was made to feel very welcome at dinner despite the anxiety of dining alone. Enjoyed the bar facilities and jukebox afterwards. Hotel looks tired and dated, the rooms we had were clean but things like a handle on drawer unit was broken and no end stop on curtain rail meant curtain came off when you opened it. Carpets throughout really needed cleaning. The photo’s we saw on web site are a little misleading as our rooms did not look like this. However staff were very nice and helpful and breakfast was good.

Very poor conditions and service for a dear price
The pictures on the site did not match reality.I booked a family weekend in a cost effecrive accomodation.Upon arrival we were shown a bunkflat,which was not bigger than a cupboard with the windows situated at the high ceiling.I decided to upgrade to a double room and the conditions were slughtly better than the bunk room.For £90 per night I had no wifi, there was no signal for the small telly availiable in the room.The explenation from the receptionist was that the area could not provide better signal.Not to mention the dust behind the telly,dirty carpets or cob around the ceiling.For less of the price you can get luxorious B&B.I raised the issues with the receptionist and asked for a password of the secure wifi,but this was passed to the owner who did no bother to acknowledge or resolve the issues.Staff were friendly, but this did not improve the service due to the very poor management.The issues were obvious and the dust behind the telly was discovered when I attempted to resolve the issue myself in effort to improve the quality of theenvironment myself since there was no customer service. Pictures would be availiable if anyone is interested for more details.
