We had a wonderful stay! Easy self-service check in and clean, cosy and comfortable bedroom and ensuite. In a perfect location just a short walk from the local pubs, restaurants and shops in Betws-y-Coed. Dave was a great host and breakfast was lovely! Hope to return again :)

Good value for money

Ample parking at rear and walkable distance to town. Good internet speeds and the breakfast was generous in portions and excellent quality. The owner is always up for a chat in the morning at breakfast with friendly advice on the days plans or just to talk weather. The rooms are on the small side and there are stairs to contend with so just take up an overnight bag from the car and you will be fine and avoid swinging cats in the bathroom

Don't normally sleep well in a strange bed ..but had a fab nights sleep.

Unfortunately I was unable to properly experience the town and accommodation as I broke my wrist on the first evening on my way back to the property. Our host was very helpful and directed us to Bangor A&E. Hopefully will have the opportunity to go back.

Very impressed with Summer Hill, location was excellent right on the main walking routes and still close to town. Dave was welcoming, breakfast was lovely, room was clean and had everything we could have needed. Free parking was also a bonus - our room was spacious with a huge bathroom, really nicely decorated and the shower was amazing.

Beautiful decorated room ,perfect temperature and plenty of room ,lovely hot shower with all the toiletries .The house was in a lovely quiet spot away from the busy part of Betswy-coed but only a few minutes walk away
Breakfast was perfect and had a fantastic help yourself set up,loved the fridge idea for customers and fresh milk ready in the fridge. Highly recommend for the perfect tranquil stay

A lot of cobwebs in the room. No welcome pack, instructions, information in the room when we arrived which would have been useful when no staff around when we arrived.

Breakfast choice was good, and despite the cobwebs, the room was clean and well appointed and we felt safe.

Second time staying here and will return. So calming and peaceful just tucked away from the hustle and bustle but just a short walk to the main part. Rooms are lovely, clean and beds are so comfy. Host is welcoming and informative and the breakfast provided is spot on.

Fabulous stay in this lovely quirky guest house. Lots of lovely touches and really nice freshly cooked breakfast. Beautiful spot about 5 mins walk from the main centre so nice a quiet whilst still being a stones throw from restaurants and bars etc. on site parking available which is always a bonus.

Beautiful stay!

Beautiful guest house on a hill with parking at rear and just a short walk from the river and shops. Access from road or car park area via steps. Dave couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated.
Breakfast was totally amazing, with lots to choose from as well as a full Welsh breakfast. I had home made granola, then omelette with goats cheese and drizzled with honey. Yum!
I forgot to say, the bed was so comfy, I asked if I could take it home 😄
Lovely that Dave said we were welcome to sit in the garden. There was a choice of areas to sit, with beautiful planting and the relaxing sounds of the river below.
Would thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic bb in a quiet part just off main street. A great base for exploring all that the area has to offer. We did Zip wire and Snowdon in the time we had. Rooms spotless and very comfortable with a great shower. Lovely guess lounge and really nice breakfast room with and excellent breakfast. Loved the homemade baked beans. Dave is a fantastic house, very welcoming, friendly. We wouldn't look anywhere else when staying in Betwys Y Coed now we found Summer Hill. Thanks Jo and Roy.

Lovely weekend

Very welcoming host and lovely guest house made our weekend away a fantastic break. The rooms are clean with great shower and really comfy bed. Decent choice of food for breakfast and good quality. We will definitely stay again as so handy for a base to explore around North Wales or just around Betws-Y-Coed.

Charming stay in N Wales

I loved my stay at this gorgeous b and b. Immaculately clean, updated, comfortable, quiet. The room had touches like robe, hot water bottle, soap/shampoo/conditioner. Host David was kind and helpful for hike/bus suggestions. I didn’t meet his wife as she was in the kitchen cooking divine FULL breakfast.
It’s walkable from train station, and super close to bus stop on main road.
The village is lovely, the hIking great. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay, David came to meet us on arrival and is the perfect host and was very knowledgeable about walks and other things in the local areas which was perfect for us with it being a fairly short trip.
The area is lovely as is the accommodation and we were made to feel most welcome.
I should also mention the breakfast which was plentiful and lovely especially the home made baked beans and the home made granola both of which were made by David's wife (apologies I've forgotten her name)

If you like excellent service and great breakfasts, this is the place for you. Dave is the consumate host and nothing is ever too much trouble. He is very knowledgable about places to visit and good walks to do. He is friendly and good natured, checking you have all you need, without ever being intrusive.
His partner, Gabby cooks delicious breakfasts and is responsible for the lovely cottage-like feel of the whole place.
Betws y Coed is a great location from which to visit so many places in Wales - so this guest house is ideally situated. It is clean and well maintained with a top hygeine rating.
There is parking at the back and even though the guest house is near the river and the bridge, it is surrounded by trees which allow for tranquility, peace and quiet.
There are plenty of eating options within walking distance for evening meals etc.
TV in rooms and excellent WiFi.
There are plenty of places to eat nearby but it is advisable to book early because in high season there may be queues.
Anyone thinking of running a guest house should visit here and see how it is done.
Thank you Dave and Gabby, my wife and I had a wonderful stay. We will return!!

This trip was a reset and recharge for me and the first thing you noice about this place is as soon as you walk in the door you feel at home. Its cosy and warm. I have so many great things to say about this place..i cant fault it. Dave was so welcoming, friendly, informative and remembers your name! Which is rare in hotels, its those little personal touches that maklde me feel i made the right choice in staying here 🙂. Room was comfortable and cosy, great views. Breakfast selection was amazing..the Welsh breakfast will keep you going for the day. Right outside you are in the perfect location to start the local hikes, restaurants are 5 mins away..sherpa bus is 5-6mins away to take you to snowdon. You will definantly feel much more relaxed and recharged after staying here.
You will not regret booking here. Dave and Gabby have an amazing property. This place is a blessing and i wish them all the success.

A superb stay. We had 3 rooms. The breakfasts are brilliant, and the service is excellent and so friendly. Rooms so clean and well equipped. Have stayed here for the last 10 years, I just wished we lived closer. So much to do locally and our host can recommend the type and best local places to dine and have coffee stops.

Me and my partner stayed over New Years and we were both more than impressed! The house was so beautifully decorated and was very welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of variation on what to have. Free parking aswell. Over all we had an amazing time and I would 100% recommend staying, not one complaint about our whole stay.

The best B&B we have stayed in. The owners went over and above to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Great self check inn, amazing choice on the breakfast, the room was very clean and spacious with everything thought of. Their knowledge of the local area was brilliant and they gave suggestions on what to do and where to go It was so nice to have on-site parking. We will definitely be returning again.

Everything was perfect for us at the Summer Hill Guest house. Our room was clean, and spacious and stylish, the bed was extremely comfortable, and fluffy dressing gowns were provided - perfect after a hike up mount Snowden!
Dave and the team were so friendly, helpful and accommodating and gave us plenty of tips for our stay in North Wales.
Our breakfast was delicious with plenty of different options and catered to my dietary needs.
I would highly recommend Summerhill guest house to anyone wishing to explore Betws-y-coed and North Wales.

Myself and my partner stayed for a week and we are so glad we chose here. The room was lovely, I normally have trouble sleeping in a bed that isn't mine but slept like a baby, the are so comfortable. The shower was great good water pressure and always hot water. The breakfasts were unreal, the menu and breakfast specials were all so tasty and you could tell alot of love and passion went in to the food. Even when we weren't going to be there for breakfast David offered to make us something to take with us. The place was just so lovely. To the front down the hill are the water falls which are lovely but busy but David advised us on a walk behind the B&B which was so beautiful and we found water falls without all the people! Anytime we would say where we were going David or Linda would advise where is good to go around and give recommendations. They couldn't do enough for us. I don't normally go to the same place twice but we will 100% be going back there as it was just so good. Make sure you try the home made baked beans!!
