Is good value for money, as the low price per night means you shouldn’t expect the high standards of other more expensive near by hotels.
Clean, comfy and ideally located for my overnight business trip.
Desk in the 2 rooms I stayed in did not have a chair but a soft square stool.
Bathrooms could do with an upgrade, as very dated.

The room (5) was clean and bright, however the radiator was stone cold. Contacted reception, the boiler had tripped, the room radiator warmed up but the shower room stayed cold. The shower didn't have enough power for the overhead shower to work and the smaller shower head on the riser rail kept slipping down and wouldn't hold the shower head in place. Breakfast was great and the staff were very attentive. Got to Gatwick airport in 5 minutes so it served a purpose.

My room was across the road from the hotel in a converted house
The single room was small but ok - the bathroom tiny
Could not stand to have a pee due to the low ceiling height which I cannot imagine meet building code.

Landing lights don’t come on until you are half way down the stairs

And the room is heated to sauna temperature - a heated towel rail pushes out enough heat for an average 3 bed detach house plus a second radiator

I opened the window and then it was noisy

At least I can sleep on the plane!

I needed a quick overnight stay before a long-haul flight—this place was perfect. Close to the airport, 24/7 shuttle, and reliable service. From Terminal N, call 88111 at bus stop 6, then proceed to bus stop 8 for pickup. I arrived at 1 a.m., grabbed food at Pret, changed clothes, and called for pickup at 2 a.m.—the minibus arrived by 2:10. Quiet and comfortable; I slept well. In the morning, I easily rescheduled my shuttle to Terminal S from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. No issues. Bring £26 cash or coins; there’s an ATM and a coin machine in the terminal for vending. Great service—would stay again.

Needed a quick stay after arriving late at Gatwick. The room was clean and the bathroom lovely. The bed and comforters were so cozy. The hotel is old, but I that’s part of the charm. Disappointed they didn’t say upfront they charged for the shuttle. Easy mile walk to the train into London. I would stay here again

Unfortunately I did not have a good night. Passage and especially room overhead had loudly creaking floors. In addition shuttle service is expensive at £26 return. For a similar price I could have stayed at Premier Inn or Travelodge with en suite bathroom and no noise

I liked this room 15 more because it was ensuite. I did not like the reception from the staff - no eye contact. The last time i stayd the staff were friendlier and funny. The only issue with the room 15 is that I could hear all the noise and luggage being dragged ar AM in the morning. Other than that I do like the corner house and would recommend it to others.

A nice enough place to spend a night before a flight. Shower was clean and powerful. Close to local bus lines that get you to Gatwick South 24h per day - you can also walk to Gatwick South if you are committed enough. Slightly on the noisy side (as every airport hotel is!) with people moving in the corridors throughout the night. I would stay again though; it was a lovely start to the holiday - thank you :)

I booked a room at this hotel to be conveniently. Lose to Gatwick Airport, from where I would be meeting my family arriving the next day. The hotel clearly stated on their website that they offered complimentary airport transfer, which was a deciding factor for me as I am disabled and was travelling on my own. On departing the hotel I asked about the departure time of the next complimentary shuttle, only to be told that I would have to pay £13 to be taken to the terminal a short distance away from the hotel. I was told in no uncertain terms that if I didn’t pay I would not be able to avail myself of the “courtesy transfer service”. I felt uncomfortable and coerced and given my disability I had no alternative but to pay for the service. I showed the passage on the website that stated “complimentary” to hotel staff to no avail. I would not stay at this hotel again as I felt cheated and misled.

The room was well decorated, clean and had a very comfortable bed. The down side was from the noise from the hotel bar directly below the room (number 1) plus the traffic noise outside (though that is the not the fault of the hotel). Also people leaving the hotel talking loudly very early in the morning outside the hotel also disturbed our sleep a couple of times.

Liked the location near Gatwick but having some character. The bathroom door had to remain closed (and it was very small) due to the steam setting off the fire alarm in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a good dinner there too.

A bit of a noisy night with a busy road close by. Surprisingly it wasn’t airplane noise but rather road vehicle noise. Therefore I had to keep my window shut which made the room somewhat stuffy. Position of the bed in the room had the head right at the windows and as the curtains didn’t fit snuggly, light from outside beamed onto the head area. Perhaps the bed could be turned 90 degrees to avoid this discomfort?

I was deeply dissatisfied with our recent stay at The Corner House Hotel Gatwick. To say the experience was disappointing would be an understatement.

Upon our arrival around midnight, we were met with an appallingly rude and racist attitude from the individual at reception. When we brought up concerns about the cold room and a non-functioning lamp, he responded dismissively and made a completely inappropriate and racist comment: “This is England, not India.” This assumption was based purely on the colour of our skin — an incredibly offensive and ignorant remark, especially considering we are from Toronto, Canada and have never been to India. This level of hostility and racism was shocking. We have travelled extensively, including in England, and have never encountered such treatment.

Additionally, our room was not located in the main building with the reception, but across a busy road — a completely inconvenient and unsafe situation at midnight, especially with luggage. The staff member made no effort to assist us with our bags. He walked with us but left us halfway to figure out an outdated lock on the room, which took us at least a few minutes to figure out.

The room itself was far from the standard one would expect from a hotel with good reviews. It was outdated, noticeably dusty along the edges and had a non-functioning lamp.

This experience was deeply upsetting, and we feel compelled to share how unacceptable it was.

Myself and my son were only there for one night to catch a good nights sleep on a layover, but we certainly had no complaints. The shuttle picked us up from the airport right away, and the driver was friendly with a good sense of humor. As he was playing Elton John on the radio, I knew he was going to be okay.😎 Both desk attendants handled reservation and issue (there was a couple in front of us) courteously and promptly. I have no reservation about recommending Corner House Gatwick.

If you need a cot

Lovely hotel, although bathroom was very small, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunately despite requesting a cot in advance and getting an email saying it would be set up in our room, this didn't happen. When we arrived they seemed unsure a cot would even fit in the room we were in! They did find a spare cot but it wouldn't go up properly despite me and one of the hotel staff trying for a while. I was told that unfortunately some other guests had arrived first and were given the cots. Thankfully we had a cot packed away in our luggage so had to get that out, but having to unpack and repack wasnt ideal. So just be aware if you request a cot it might not be there.

Perfect location for Gatwick Airport, utilised the pick up service from the North terninal which was very reasonably priced. Situated close to many bars and restaurants in Horley.
Will certainly revisit whenever travel plans go through Gatwick.
