The room was spotless. The owners/staff were friendly and helpful. I got upgraded to a sea view room and it was absolutely delightful! Beautiful bay windows with the view of the calming sea. The shower is amazing!! The water pressure was absolutely perfect and the way I like it.

I had a lovely veggies breakfast in the morning.

I would absolutely recommend this guesthouse. It’s so close to everything but offers such warmth and home vibes, I will definitely be booking again!

We was greeted by Margaret when we checked in, she made us feel really welcomed. We had a bottle of champagne on our bed, room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really nice, Margaret told us where the best places to go and where not to go. Nat the waitress was amazing, she was so kind and understanding. Overall really enjoyed our stay and will be back again to se Margaret, Owen and Nat.

Loved it!

We loved staying at the Minerva Guesthouse. The hosts are lovely and thoughtful. as are the staff. It's really what makes this place special. The location is excellent, right near the beach for an early morning or evening walk when the tide is out. Our room for three was tight but with everything we needed: an excellent shower, comfortable, clean bed, and closet space. Go for the location, but stay for the hosts.

Perfect stay in central Newquay

We had a xmas party to go to for the evening so was looking for a reasonably priced B and B as only wanted a bed for the night. We were sooo lucky to have found this little gem right in the centre of Newquay, owner was very attentive as was the waitress at breakfast. Room was lovely and clean, and breakfast was scrummy.
We will definitely recommend you, and book again if we are out in Newquay, thankyou soo much 😉

We stayed here for 1 night on a quick trip down to Cornwall. Margaret and Owen were great hosts and very attentive. Location was great, right in the centre of Newquay with lovely views of the beach. The only downside is the lack of parking at the property and being unable to get a space outside on the road, meaning we had to park in a car park.
This was only a few minutes walk away but was only free between 00:00-9:00 unlike other reviews we previously had seen saying it was free from 4pm/6pm - 9:00am

The Minerva is a delightful B&B with a very personable staff and a great location. Their breakfast is very good and features pastries from local bakers. A large variety of resturants, pubs, and shopping are within easy walking distance as is one of the beaches. I heghly recommend this for a nice comfortable stay.

My partner and I booked oyo Minerva guest house on the fantastic reviews and we weren't disappointed. From the start everyone were very inviting and helpful. We had a room with a lovely view of the sea and breakfast was just right. We stayed 4 nights in a room with sea view from bay window. Room was excellent, comfortable and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The whole house was spotless and freshly painted and the breakfast room was well stocked. Breakfast was superb, great eggs, and the service first class. The hosts, Owen & Margaret were very friendly and helpful and minor issues, like a non working lamp were attended to promptly. We would heartily recommend anyone to stay at this guest house.

The view was good.
The breakfast was set to room numbers 1-9 ate earlier than the other rooms.
which meant if you were in room 10 or above you could end up having breakfast as late as 9.15 till 10, half the morning has gone by then, you could not change it, so if you wanted an early start you would have to miss breakfast even though you have paid for it.
It seemed that the breakfast was served more for the convenience of the hotel rather than the customer.
Parking could be difficult even though the hotel does advertise it, you are not guaranteed to get anywhere we didn't find that out until the day before we travelled.

Excellent property and owners, took care of me after I was injured in a car accident and made sure I was safe and cleaned up. Great breakfast in the morning and pleasant bar service at night. Quiet and off the main street of Newquay but within walking distance of all major shops and known by taxi services.

Amazing break

This was our second visit to the Minerva Guesthouse and just like the first visit it was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it. The only slight negative is that this visit we had room 6 which felt rather cramped. Overall a fabulous break and the guesthouse is perfectly located.

Such a lovely hotel! Great location right in the middle of the town so easy to walk to local beaches, shops and restaurants.
The room was 5*, beautiful views, clean and all the amenties that are needed, even with a mini fridge!
Breakfast was well organised and delicious with more options that I've seen at most places including waffles.
Staff were excpetionally friendly and helpful. The ability to be able to leave our luggage there after checking out so we could potentially catch a later train was very useful, although we ended up not using it, the staff were more than happy to look after it. Would definitely stay here again!

We had 4 night stay as a small family. Hotel is ideal location for the beach and the centre of Newquay. The limited parking is the only downside but actually the car parks a short walk away so dont allow this to put you off.

Our room was very nice and clean with a nice ensuite and tea&coffee facilities. Breakfast has a good choice and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Breakfast was also consistently good.

When visiting Newquay we would definitely return to this Hotel.

Had a very nice, comfortable, and relaxing stay. The room was very clean, well equipped, and comfortable with a nice view.
Everyone was friendly and polite, breakfast was good. Thanks to the ladies that looked after us every morning for breakfast.

Can’t fault the place, would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Idealic stay for any occasion.

I cannot fault the hotel at all, from the second we walked in we had a warm welcome and given all the details we needed. I would 100% recommend having a sea view room. A bay window and cup of tea looking out over the sea is perfect! Ideal location too, seconds from anywhere you want to go. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone needing a hotel in Newquay.

Just perfect

Like most of you I did wonder whether the reviews and rating were real as they were almost too good to be true but trust me, this place is fabulous.
From its amazing location, right by the sea and within a 30 second walk of the town to its cleanliness and decor and not to mention the price, you will not be disappointed and my partner and I will definitely be staying there again next year.
We managed to bag one of the parking spaces outside the hotel which was great but there are free parking spaces on the roadside.
The room was spacious and clean and modern and the bathroom was the same. We stayed in room 14 at the rear of the hotel.
You get a cooked breakfast included in the price which was a fab surprise and overall the price is just amazing.
If you choose to stay here I promise you’ll love it.

Owen was really helpful before we arrived. Responded quickly to emails and ensured we had the room we requested and adjusted check in time to suit our arrival. Fantastic place to stay

The OYO Minerva is so close to the beaches and the town. It is the perfect place to stay to visit Newquay. The hotel is so clean and the staff were really kind, especially the ladies at breakfast. Breakfast was also really good with a great choice and fantastic hot food. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
