Overall Experience:
My stay at the hotel was excellent. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided a warm welcome and professional service. The check-in process was quick, and the concierge helped with luggage and local recommendations.

Room Quality:
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had luxury toiletries, a large shower, and a bathtub. The view from the room was also impressive.

Facilities:
The hotel offered great facilities including a swimming pool, gym, spa, and fine-dining restaurants. Everything was well maintained and easy to access.

Food & Dining:
Breakfast had a wide variety of options, including fresh fruits, hot dishes, and international cuisine. The restaurant service was fast and the food quality was excellent.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Housekeeping maintained the room perfectly every day.

As a dog owner, we loved hiw dog friendly the hotel was. Lovely surroundings great staff, very clean, lovely swimming pool, the only downfall was the beds beside the pool were very hard, and we just couldn't sit on them for long, the beds in the grass area were comfortable. We stayed overnight with kids. Staff were amazing, so friendly, the room was super clean and spacious for a family. The whole building has such a charm! Our kids loved the heated pool, the gardens (they had a mini golf field, giant check game on the floor and a kids play area) and the local pub was walking distance. The walk to the beach was so beautiful through the chine! Oh we had such an amazing time!

The hotel had published wrong info on the Expedia website. They don’t have a private beach and the beach is 15 mins away, not three minutes away. There was no room service and the restaurant is in the hotel next door and not within the property.

Great place for kids

We had a great time as a family. The staffing was very kind and helpful. The location is beautiful, with convenient access to the beach via the Chine and there are lots of indoor and outdoor activities for the kids to do.

A dog loving hotel. We booked a sea view room which was fantastic, we stayed an extra night. The double bed was unfortunately two singles pushed together and the used dirty towels not refreshed the second day, just picked up and rehung. All the other facilities were great, dinner and take out are serviced from the hotel next door. I would recommend a visit to the retro gaming room in the other hotel next to the pool. The outdoor pools are not available until May. The path to the beach no longer exists but you do get a free weeks pass to Shanklin Chine next door which is a lovely walk down.

Thank you so much, had a beautiful time. Definitely will come back. Everybody was so accommodating the staff… the residents were lovely… The hotel also changed the ferry times. Accommodating our travels. Our Labrador went he had a beautiful time who is nearly 8 years old. The staff are so friendly towards Noah. Thank you so much once again for giving us a beautiful experience in Shanklin definitely will be back.X

Nice location, lovely views but do not stay at this hotel if you don’t like dogs - they were everywhere, even in the dining area where they were being fed at the tables. Room walls were thin so a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms . Breakfast was good but hash browns seemed to be on ration.

Three days away

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The room was satisfactory and clean. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very attentive.

Dog friendly value for money in a great hotel.

Great value at the most dog friendly hotel I’ve ever stayed in!!!! Lovely hotel in great grounds with free parking, good food and a short walk to the charming Shanklin old village and beach. Very friendly reception staff and restaurant staff. Will definitely come again if we’re back on IOW.

Nice overnight getaway

Great service (especially the breakfast!) and a very lovely and convenient location but paper thin walls and a miniscule shower. The handrails and bannisters were dirty and sticky. Cobwebs on interior of the windows show they had not been dusted for many months.

In a delightful location, Luccombe Manor was easy to find, overlooking some stunning cliff top scenery. There is a large car park, and we were warmly welcomed on our first day and shown to our lovely room. We had room 7, which was a “standard” room, south/west facing. It had a nice big window and although it looked out over a flat roof, you were able to see the sea. Comfortable bed, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, and a nice sized shower room. Mini toiletries were provided, as were tea and coffee making facilities, including a regular supply of tasty biscuits. Breakfast was splendid spaced out in their conservatory and dining room. Buffet style for cereals, plentiful fruit, toast, pastries etc, and on order you could enjoy a delicious Full English (including vegetarian option) Evening meals could be taken at the next-door sister hotel, which were also lovely. We enjoyed a couple of lunches, which could be enjoyed anywhere in the grounds. Drinks could also be had anywhere (but plastic glasses were used by the pool areas) Everything was reasonably priced. We loved that there was lots of spaces to sit outside (and in) close to or away from others. The swimming pool was lovely, and you could use it at the sister hotel as well as their indoor pool and sauna. Pool towels were provided. At all times the staff were friendly and helpful and always wanted to chat. Very dog friendly but not nice if people allow their dogs to yap!

Overall the property while seemingly appealing in photos, lacks any real charm.

The rooms are terribly small. The amenities are bare & the restaurant makes you feel as though you are in a plush cafeteria

It’s a mid air collision with the 1950s , right down to the rickety floors and bland coffee.

Just minor suggestions

We stayed for only two nights but found the room both comfortable and generally well equiped. It could do with a coat rack in the room lobby and the bathroom mirror though lit misted up so was unusable after the shower was used.

Overall it was very good. Our only comment would be that the adjoining walls were a little thin. This didn't bother us unduly as our nieghbours weren't too noisy - it was mostly running and splashing water. It wouldn't deter us from staying again.

What an amazing stay
The check in was smooth and staff very friendly and helpful
Our rooms all though not all high tech were very clean and comfortable and a good size had everything you needed .
The breakfast was outstanding all you could possibly want the choice of cold things was extensive and the cook to order was delicious.All the food was of great quality.
The building and ground s are lovely made all the better by having a pool and hot tub .

Overall a good stay would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Luccombe Manor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fine.The breakfast menu was good and the quality of the produce was also good. The only small disappointment was the quality of the bed pillows they could defiantly use a refresh.It was lovely to be so close to Shanklin Old Village even though the path was hilly.

Stayed four nights at this hotel in a standard room, mid June. Lovely setting with park opposite, easy walk to old village, (need to book anywhere for eating as very busy) ocean view, nice gardens and warm swimming pool. Carpets look like they have been replaced. Can also use facilities at sister hotel next door. All staff cheerful and helpful. Nice breakfast, provided with packed breakfast on request which was useful. Comfortable lounge, restaurant area. Standard room was comfortable. Bathroom very small and no tray for soap etc. light pull needs replacing as dirty. No aircon but fan available in room. Would definitely return hee and recommend.

Great Hotel - Great Staff - Incredible Breakfast *

Lovely over night stay at Luccombe Manor Country House Hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious whilst the room was nice and comfy. Bathroom was very clean and the shower had lots of pressure.
Service was wonderful - nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast! Just wow! So much to choose from and very tasty!
We will most stay here again.

Luccombe manor Shanklin

Breakfast was exceptional and waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was ok, walls were paper thin and you could hear next door talking and kid coughing constantly, and above us someone walked around for hours and the creaking floorboards were very annoying, however the room was warm , the bed was comfy and the TV had all channels, Netflix and iPlayer which was brilliant. Also the Curtains were torn and lights from carpark shone into the room. The sea veiws from the hotel dining room were gorgeous.

Nice getaway for a short stay.

We and a lovey weekend. The room was clean and comfortable, although very basic and felt like it was an 'add on' to the property. As we were only there for two night and just somewhere to sleep, it was ok. If we had been there longer, I think we would have asked to be moved. It would have been nice if, on arrival, someone had told us where to go to access the pool and other amenities, as well as where to go for breakfast. Breakfast was good. plenty of choice and served hot. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again although maybe not in room 11. Reminder to all customers, log out of your amazon and Netflix accounts before you leave!
