The room and facilities were tired and bathroom cramped.Not very pleasant to have to sit on the loo with the lid pressing into your back because it didn’t have enough space to stay upright!

We stayed at the Harrow Lodge Hotel, using it as a base to get to the Isle of Wight festival.
My first interaction with the hotel was 9 months prior to staying where I accidentally booked the wrong dates. The management agreed to move the dates without charging me the cancellation fee which was an excellent indication of the superb customer service that we experienced during our stay.
We stayed in a family room which was clean and spacious. The cost (inclusive of breakfast) was very reasonable for a party of 4.
During our stay, every member of the team we met was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Our one night stay was so nice. Beds are comfy with lovely pillows and duvets. Nice towels and well equipped with tea/ coffee making facilities. Friendly welcome and gave us early checkin. Weve been here before and would definitely come back. We had the best breakfast, cooked to order.

I've stay at the Harrow inn a few times, each time it has been excellent, the staff are so friendly, visitors are always welcome with its location it has local and others pop in for food and day thoughout the day. Pets welcome.

We stayed in the family room. Kids could only access the top bunk by standing on a chest of drawers (as it blocked the bottom part of ladder) so wasnt the safest. There was also a light nearby which could easily have been knocked off the wall and broken (on the way up and down the ladder). However we had a nice stay, staff were friendly and hotel was clean. Could do with an update.

The hotel was nice, but does look a little older. There was limited parking so I had to park on the road nearby, not really an issue. Nice indoor bar with terrace but a less appealing ground floor outdoor seating area. The room was fine, it was a good size, had a comfortable bed, TV, bath and shower. We used the fan provided when it got a little warm in the evening. The food was really nice with good options, cooked well and tasted good; 4 of us had evening meals and breakfast (full English), no complaints.
The staff were really helpful and pleasant. Service was good. The bar staff, chef and breakfast staff were very polite and professional. Our ferry had an issue and we had to look for alternate options, the staff member (guessing it was the owner) was fantastic. She really went out of her way to assist us and managed to help us book another ferry online.

This was our very 1st visit to IOW, we were not disappointed at all with our choice of accommodation. Everything was well above expectations, friendliness from all the staff, great food in the bar for lunch dinner or drinks, delicious well cooked breakfast with great choice, really comfortable bed. This was a lovely place to stay, they couldn't do enough for you, very friendly & helpful, I needed 2 rooms where there wasn't to much walking to get to, due to both parties having breathing difficulties, they were so very helpful & replied telling me we have both rooms on the ground floor & would be able to have our breakfast brought to us on the same floor, you wouldn't get that else where, just a nice clean lovely place to stay, the food was lovely evening meal & then breakfast, we all said we would like to go back & stay longer, sadly this wasn't a holiday stay this time, here for a family funeral memorial, looking forward to coming back next year in the warmer weather 10/10 Thank you all

Gem of a Hotel, Dog Friendly, Value for Money
Gem of a hotel! Positioned right above Shanklin Beach, wirh either a 10 minute walk (which i did everyday with my dog), or there's a lift literally a minute away, going straight down to the beach. The staff were fantaatic, really friendly, and couldnt do enough for you... sure, the hotel itself is a little dated, bur it's obviously been decorated, but coylddo with a much bigger makeover, but these thibgs cost a lot of money, and it's kept lovely and clean. My reason for booking was because they take dogs, and I was bring mine with me. I took a single room, which had its own shower room and toilet, and whilst it wasn't particularly big, it was clean, functional and had everything I needed.

Breakfast amazing, food in the evening very good value and quality. First visit to this hotel and certainly not the last. Our rooms were a little small but well decorated, en-suite and ours had a little balcony as well.

We stayed for 2 nights in a Seaview room with a balcony. The room was small, but very comfortable and the balcony was large with a table and chairs. Very pleasant especially in the morning. Excellent cooked breakfast. The only negative was a very low pressure shower. The first morning it did not work at all, and even after it was fixed it was still just very poor water flow. Good location on the cliff top. Walking distance to the beach or town. Evening food stops at 7pm. We would have liked to eat there had it been later. I would have given a higher rating if the shower was better, and if the restaurant opened later.

Our Experience
The hotel was in a good, quiet location, within a few minutes walk from the beach, even though it was up/down a steep incline. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and reasonably well maintained. Breakfasts were very good with a good choice.
The downsides were that the room and in particular the ensuite bathroom was very small and the water pressure was almost non-existent, especially for the first few minutes after the shower was turned on. ( but the water when it eventually arrived was hot enough )

All of the staff we encountered were lovely and the service was really good. The hotel does only have stairs to the upper floor so anyone with any mobility issue should request ground floor. Breakfast was good with two sittings. I don't know whether that is just a Covid thing and whether there is more flexibility at other times. Food is served in the evening until 7pm.

Excellent stay, we had a 4 month with us and the staff were more than accommodating. Our stay was in a room with a sea view which was great for us once we’d put the little one to bed. Would stay again.
