Excellent pool area for kids! The Buddha head swim-up bar was a highlight. Very convenient for the beach and a huge variety of restaurants close by. The rooms and breakfast were fine.

Our stay was great, friendly staff and a lovely resort. Thexresort is a bit tired and needs a refresh but all still functional. The housecleaning staff sometimes forgot rmto replace consumables such as tea, coffee, milk and toilet paper. The bars and staff were great but the cocktail list needs to be rotated, after a few days they git a bit boring. The location is in the quieter end but tuk tuks are always available or everything is a nice walk away.

ウォータースライダーはとても良かったです。子供用のスライダーでもたくさん遊べますし、大人用のものも4-5歳の子供も遊べて楽しめました。
朝食会場や部屋に蟻がいるので、日本の感覚からすると衛生面が△という感じです。近くのTHAVORNにも泊まったのですが、こちらと比べると全体的にホテルのランクは落ちる印象です。

If you're up for a poolside stay at a resort and not much else, this place is great. Great pools and slides!
However, it seems to be the place where package holidays include for their accommodation option. Guests are quite rude and obnoxious, especially to staff.
I wouldn't be returning to this hotel unfortunately.

The property is exactly as advertised. It is not fancy but meets all your needs. The pool, water slides and access to the beach are all great. The surrounding area has plenty of dining, shops, 7/11 and massage. For the bigger adventure 200 baht for taxi to other end of Karon ( lot more shop, markets etc) or 400 baht to Patong.

This is a great hotel with waterslides for the kids. Makes having easy days in the pool so much easier for parents. It's an easy walk to the beach. Just a few minutes away and in a great location overall. We enjoyed our stay and will come back

No plates for plates or cutlery for breakfast and poor choice, food runs out and isn’t replenishes with hours left of meal time

However, the staff save the hotel, they are incredible and really do strive to make everyone happy but clearly let down but rules of management and they are always apologising for the shortcomings

The hotel is centrally located in Karon, within convenient walking distance to the beach, 7/11, eateries, money exchange and pharmacy.
The property is expansive and carers to families with the option of 3 pools and water slides.
Breakfast each morning had a good variety of food, catering to Asian and western preferences.
The rooms were well appointed, but looked a little tired. The room smelt musty, but that's pretty normal for the climate.
We preferred this accommodation over the neighbouring hotel. We will definitely stay again!

The resort offers a lot for the children but the quality of the room was poor and everything is showing its age. The room was most disappointing with leaking taps, poor airconditioning, broken light switches and lights and nothing remarkable for the price.

The room makeup service made the beds, emplied bins and replaced towels, nothing more. Empty glasses were left for days and flooring not cleaned once in 5 days. The toddler pool was good for our youngest and so were the waterslides for our eldest.

We also stayed at Thavorn prior to this resort and would pick Thavorn on our return trip as the overall quality of the resort was better. For a similar price the room was also much larger, everything worked and the rooms were maintained to a high degree. The pools and water slide were also excellent and breakfast was a little more diverse for a longer stay.

The hotel was old and require lots of renovation inside rooms and the bathrooms. Outside area in particular the stairs in water slide was rusty and all the painting was worn-off. Very unpleasant when you walk up the stairs.

Services were great and fast, never seen anything being left empty in breakfast buffet. Staff were very kind and helpful.

The New Year dinner's ticket was sold way over priced in compare to what was offered. The music band playing the Russian songs for more than an hour was very annoying for other nationalities attending the party. It was such an unfair opportunity for everyone else regardless of the number of Russians being resident in the hotel. The management should reconsider how to select an enjoyable program for the entire guests who are staying in hotel and not to only pay attention to a specific nationality for their leisure.

Resort was OK. Was disappointed that the main onsite restaurant (Le Bayon) was unavailable for lunch and dinner every day during our stay due to an onsite conference/convention. This meant we had to leave the resort every night for a decent meal.
Used the onsite Spa for a pedicure. It was literally just my nails being painted, not the traditional pedicure you would expect. Highly recommend hitting the street for Spa services. Daily breakfast was good if you were there extremely early (0600 - 0700). Any later than this everything in the buffet was cold (except for the freshly cooked omlettes and fried eggs). Location was good but there is some room for improvement. Staff were friendly enough.

Probably the hotel with the best ever water slide, swimming pool area was large and very nice. hotel seems like it may have had a revamp in recent years. Had read many russians visited the property but perhaps with Putin's unprovoked war on Ukraine not so much, mostly Thai's celebrating New Year. Only thing I did not like was the hotel seemed to look the other way on smoking, one of our rooms smelt a little like cigarette smoke, some guests smoked close to pool area and cig butts were common around the grounds

Large room, comfortable beds and pillows, good bathroom - decent size and clean, free bottles of water each day, soft towels, we had a room with easy access to the pool. This is a really nice hotel, friendly staff, tours, transport, so close to the beach, excellent if you are staying with children due to the beach location. However bear in mind slides are old, hotel is a little dated, kids club is very dull, children's playground old and rusty but if you have children who love swimming the pool this place is perfect. Breakfast disappointing however main menu for lunch and dinner was great. Best seafood pizzas. Prices to eat at the hotel are the same as out on the street. Would I stay here again - yes with children. This hotel is ideal for families.

Great pool. Huge. Big water slides. Separate pools for young kids. If you're looking for fun in the water, you will find it here.

That said, there's nothing else that really stands out about this place. It feels very dated, but it's relatively clean. I didn't care for the breakfast buffet. I've had much better food at other resorts in Phuket. Service is adequate for necessities, but nothing special. Location is OK. Close to the beach and a few shops and restaurants, but not within walking distance of the \"main\" area of Karon around the temple market.

This resort is purely functional. There is no attempt to be fancy or luxurious. Good for families with young kids. This is the kind of place where you can let your kids run wild and not worry about them disturbing someone's honeymoon. On the other hand, I would definitely not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful or romantic getaway.

The pool is really the only reason to stay here. If you don't care about the pool, you can get a better experience at other resorts in Phuket in this price range.

Very family oriented the pools were great. The only dissapointing thing I would say is there's no free Wi-Fi which we knew before we booked but it's 2018 get with it Orchid.

Orchid Phuket has everything you need on holiday, great swimming pools with water slides, gym, bar restaurant, convenience shop and spa. Breakfast has a good variety of choices including Western and Asian food. Bacon was crisp and perfectly cooked. From Asian breakfast choices I personally recommend rice soup.The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and local shopping area and also short drive to Karon viewpoint, Big Buddha and Wat Chalong. The biggest surprise for us was quality of service. You wouldn't expect such professional and prompt service with personal touch at a big hotel but people at Orchid Spa and Resort do just that. Thank you so much great team at Orchid for our dream holiday in Karon. Highly recommended especially for families with kids.

Preface: If you are traveling as a family, this review is NOT for you. For families, this hotel would be perfect.

If you are traveling as a couple, be advised that this hotel charges you for the in-room lockbox, wifi, etc. A resort with over 500 rooms and for reasons known only to them, they charge for wifi. Know this in advance.

Room was far from clean. Upon check-in, taking my shoes off at the door, walking to the bed my feet turned black. The bathroom had mold in it. Hot water was always going from hot to cold to hot to cold no matter how I adjusted the water.

The hotel is situated a good walk away from Karon centre with small children. A tuk tuk cost 200 bhat one way.
Pool area was good for children.
Accommodation was basic, a little tired but clean. I had booked a triple room but this turned out to be a double room with a roll out bed, which I was not expecting. Other hotels generally specify that the bed will be a roll out. The double bed was large and comfortable but the roll out bed was hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
Breakfast was fine with many nationalities catered for. As I had booked through Expedia I had the premium breakfast which consisted of plates of bacon, salad and pastries.
Overall a pleasant stay.

The pool is nice for families but water slides shut off promptly at 6 pm, and are not as fun as they look in pictures. Wonderful for families with kids

Prior to my booking, I have already read a few reviews about some of the poorly maintained rooms with foul smells. And indeed, I was given one of those rooms. I went back to the counter and requested to change to another room. They were kind enough to allow me to check out 2 rooms, which we happily took one of it, and was happy with it.

They don't usually restrict guest using the pools in the night, and you tend to see a handful of them chilling out at the poolside (in the pool as well) with drinks and/or surfing the net. Oh yes, free WIFI is only available near the lobby and you need to pay for room WIFI.

Breakfast provided by resort has sufficient range of local and western food.

Was told be a local that this resort was good a couple years back. I'd suggest the management improve the service quality of the staff first while they gradually make its facilities rejuvenation.

a great resort for the kids .. My 7 year old had a ball and loved it . The pools for a resort would almost be the biggest in Thailand and there good... restaurants and massage places are all very close by and mini marts over the road. The beach is nice and only 100 metres down the road. It's clean but strong currents . The staff were very good but busy most of the time. A good nice safe family hotel .

Hotel extremely busy and breakfast was a massive bun fight. Food good. To get a spot by the pool you need to get up early to grab a chair. Room was fine. Everything worked well. No wi fi in bedroom only reception area.

it is a big resort with 3 pool areas. Kids had a great time. Rooms are bit rundown, needs a bit of renovation. Very close to beach.

We lasted 2 days in this resort before being transfered to another Kata Group resort. The service was well below average and the facilities were unusable. 2 of the 3 pools could not be used and all restaurants were closed. The grounds were unmaintained and the overall resort requires alot of TLC. Upon threatening to report our concerns to Hotels.com, they faciliated our transfer to their superior Kata Beach Resort which was absolutely fantastic.

-new kids slide they building looks really good

-this people are crazy.when we arrive i realize the restaurant and 1 of the pool area was under construction.we talking about full on 8-6pm grinder and power tools.i think they about 20 to 30 people shouting and yelling all day because they dont have the crane so they tried to lift all the kids slide stuff.some parts covered doddgy very unsafe for little kids.pool are never get cleaned tthe bottom of the pool have construction sand.when i did complained not even sorry.second day they closed down 2nd pool with very old and doddgy kids slide!!!!!!thats thats the only reason i booked that hotel.kids had to go adult pools 1.5m deep.they didnt do any effort to make up for it.so 2 of the pools and 1 restaurant under construction well done
-right in front of the construction 3 m away they have pool access rooms which is the most expensive rooms.i have no idea how to they put up with it.
-hotel mainly for chinesse and russian tourist.they dont usually speak so its hard to make friends.
-they have more than 100 people working there but they are not interacting with the customers.
-rooms and hotel is very old looks like soviet era public housing especially the kids playground
-dont complaing because nobody cares.
-the rooms are full of mosqitos and they spray the rooms with pesticides not aloud in australia.

Great family friendly resort

This was my 12th time visit to phuket and I alway stay most of my nights at this resort. Staff are so friendly and its very effordable. Great location. Find it hard to fault. My 10 year old doesn't want to stay any place else apart from here.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Hotel was great with 3 pools. Kids pool has a waterslide. Great buffet breakfast. Family room was big and clean.
Staff was mostly helpful and friendly. Karon has markets and restaurants without the hustle of Patong. Loved not having to barter as much as Bali.
