The staff at Beyond Karon are kind, professional and always willing to help with a warm smile. From the check in to the room itself, it was a exactly what you expect from a “beach resort”.

Food: Breakfast is diverse, and includes daily Thai dishes that are perfect for those looking to explore Thai food without the overwhelming if you are not used to it. Room service is very similar. Western and European options too. All priced for the area.

Beach: Because of the recent mudslide and flooding there was trash and debris at the beach, but that is just Mother Nature (and terrible tourist) being being exactly what they are.

Location: Very tourist oriented, with lots of markets, local traditional Thai food, and fun options too. Phuket is always busy and awake so there is always something open.

Overall, whether you are looking for a romantic or chill adult only space, promise Beyond Karon will not disappoint. Hope we can return! Thank you again to all the incredible staff! PS our expressos where great!

Unfortunately, I found myself in Phuket as the typhoon was making landfall in Vietnam and creating havoc with Phuket weather. Hotel is clean, quiet, and in a decent location. Staff was personable. Breakfast was not good. Didn’t get to use the pool or go to the beach because of the weather.

The breakfast was great and room fairly comfterble. My only complaint was the bed was very hard but not a deal breaker. The staff was always super polite and on point. Would stay here again. Was not able to swim due to very rough sea state and red flag warning so if you want to swim in the ocean be sure to check the seasons for calm seas. Pool was very nice and connnected to a bar which was fun and awesome.

We stayed for 5. Nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent and the facilities were just ok. For the cost of our stay expected more. Our room smelt apon arrival, there are no ice machines on the property, the food was good, the pool was not heated but not uncommon to find. The pool didn’t appear to have a working filtration system. The shower in the room had a sign that said very hot and anytime someone flushed in other rooms flushed the water got scolding hot for a few moments. Also we had three rooms and one room was 1K usd more forever same room. I would stay there again but at a discounted rate.

Beyond Karon location is perfect for those who want to be near but not next to the party. Pool and beach area were beautiful. It would be nice to have hotel sponsored beach chair & umbrella and, it was easy to work with the folks renting the chairs and umbrellas. Be sure to not keep any food or leave soda/juice spills, bc the small ants move quickly.

Perfect location close to all the action in Kata. Easy access to the beach and at the quieter end of Karon Beach. Lovely spot to swim with no waves. The pool is great however the whole put your towel on a sunbed first thing in the morning to claim a spot that you hardly use is ridiculous. It’s just inconsiderate as hardly anyone would use the pool or sunbeds. I haven’t experienced this at other hotels in different areas of Phuket. I wouldn’t stay here again for this reason. Nice to not have screaming kids around, so it was a nice peaceful place to relax. The breakfast is nice. Staff very friendly.

This property is very dated so much so be careful taking a shower. The water turns scolding hot potentially you can get second-degreeburns with that said there is a warning sign in the shower. There is no room service and the bartender at the pool bar has a total attitude when you ask for a bucket of ice, and you’re only allotted four small bottles of water a day according to the staff. When you leave your room, you must take your room card key, which shuts off all air conditioning and electric so that you can come back to an extremely hot room. This hotel is about $100 a night value at best. With the lack of options this hotel had the best beach location.

I would come back!

Great location and adults only. The people are amazing and go out of their way to help you.
My only request is to fix the water going super hot as pressure changes. Showers do come with a sign to say hot water but the sudden change in temp can seriously hurt someone if they dont know and already like hot showers. If you can’t fix the problem maybe let people know beforehand so they can lower the temp accordingly.

Not exactly like in the pictures. The location was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The \"lobby\" is antiquated. It felt like you were at a bank asking for a loan.

The hotel does not have 2 twin beds, as some option appeared in the app. It is a King size made out of 2 FIXED twin beds. We paid prime$ for the location and hotel because we wanted plenty of room for two friends. Otherwise we'd have gone for cheaper options with a true actual king size bed.

The shower was laughable. There was no wall, instead a floor to ceiling glass, clear glass. The hotel had a curtain on the outside, which could be very easily be opened by accident by the ppl in the room. The glass should be tempered or had contact paper or something to make it more bulletproof.

The experience got saved by their morning breakfast! Great food and service.

Anyway, this is why I rate it a 3 out of 5.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beyond Karon.
It is ideally situated at the end on Karon beach with lovely views.
The hotel is quiet and relaxing.
A short walk to the sea, but with a lovely pool complex.
Good sunbeds which were easy to obtain without having to put towels down when we were there
Breakfast good, pool bar good and reasonably priced. Restaurant for lunch had a good selection, the food we had was lovely and again reasonably priced.
We had a sea view room top/3rd floor room, which was excellent. Massive v.confortable bed.
Resort very clean and staff very hospitable as are all Thai people.

The people who work there are amazingly kind and friendly. The resort was very quiet, probably because it's adults only, and the breakfast options are plentiful. The only issue I had was that the water in the shower would go from where I had it set to scaldingly hot (there is a sign saying very hot water) and back again, every minute or so.

Great stay. I think they are priced appropriately for what you get. You have direct access to the beach; very convenient to other food options and walkable or short grab bike to Kata. The pool is nice and has a swim up bar. Other guests were nice and the breakfast buffet was good and had an omelet station. It's not an extravagant hotel but well worth it and very enjoyable. There are several quicky marts across the street for more drinks and snacks. Very delicious Indian restaurant is also across the street. Karon was less crowded than Kata and you can easily spend 1 hour walking to the other end of the beach. I would stay here again.

Thailand president, please start a program to clean up trash from the beaches. It's shocking to see all of the bottles, bags, plastics, ropes washing up. I'm not knocking the hotel, as I've seen this all over Thailand. You guys would have so many more tourist if you would clean up the beaches.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beyond Resort Karon which we booked last minute due to issue with another hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and room was great if a tad small for a twin share howver the view was fantastic, could not beat it both from the room and from the hotel restaurant when dining for breakfast. We swam in both pools which overlook the beach, could not get any closer to the beach if you tried!

I would like to give this place 5 stars. However the only thing stopping me is the trash on the beach. Everything else about this place is great. If beyond and the hotels next door would spend 20min cleaning up the beach each day this would be a perfect place to stay. I mentioned that to the desk guy and he shrugged and said we don't do that.

An Excellent Hotel

This is a great hotel, tucked away from the hustle of the touristy Patong Beach area, yet close enough to get to. There is ample shopping and restaurants within a very short distance from this hotel, which was very convenient.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, whenever something was needed. The room had an amazing view of the Andaman Sea and pool area. It also had a decent sized balcony. The shower was large and always had hot water, which can be a challenge in Southeast Asia. Free breakfast was included with my stay and the food options were quite large, always with a mix of Western and Asia food.
The only thing I’d say that this hotel needed was a bit of TLC as far as decor went and to have the air conditioning on in the lobby of the hotel, as it was stifling in there in August.

Even though it was low season, this was for me and my daughter a great place, the breakfast buffet was fresh and there was a very good variety to choose from. It was an easy walk around Karon and in to Kata. I would definitely stay again. Unfortunately I felt a lot of the tourists staying at Beyond didn't respect the staff or Thai people in general by not wearing masks, it clearly shows you on signage that you should be wearing a mask in the eating area when moving around.

Cannot speak highly enough of my stay at Beyond Karon.

I've travelled to many places, but this resort understands the importance of creating beautiful moments.

It's in all the small things they do to make your stay amazing.

Everything you forgot to pack, they got you covered. Umbrellas, beach bag, sandals, foot pool for washing off sand when you return from the beach... Things you don't think of in advance, but are there when you need them.

To say the staff are friendly is an understatement. There's a comradeship there. Genuine smiles and conversations shared throughout your stay. The people who work here are the best souls.

This is a beautiful property, it the only hotel directly on the beach! It’s just steps from the sea and a long picturesque beach. Wonderful, helpful staff that seem like friends after a few days. We really liked that Beyond Resort was one of the few places to stay that was located directly on the beach. Most others were across the road or up the hill. The staff were polite and respectful and did a great job. Our room cleaner \"Jim\" did a great job and was very personable. We would definitely stay here again and will do so in the near future. Everything you needed, was close by. The resort overlooked Karon Beach, with Kata beach a short walking distance away.

Property is directly on the beach and within walking distance of many bars and restaurants being perched on the edge of both Karon and kata. Unfortunately despite its lovely location on the beach there at no sun beds on it. There is evening entertainment in the form of a pleasant band but is not well advertised meaning they played to an empty bar. There are two happy hours one at lunchtime one for sundowners but the price concession is not sufficient to draw guests in. Make the happy hour half price drinks and have the band playing and you could have a truly lovely venue to watch a beautiful sunset. Cleaning staff excellent. Shah is a real asset and stood out for her lovely smile and wonderful service in the restaurant.

We wanted a resort on the beach and that's exactly what we got. We were very happy with our room in the 3rd floor. Had a great view of the beach and ocean.

We had no idea what to expect in Phuket. We were very happy about the location if the resort. It's at the southern end if Karon Beach. But at the North end if the town of Kata. You can walk out the resort front door and everything you want is available to you within a few minutes walk. Just be careful of the sidewalks.

Firstly, this property is in need of an update. I could understand if the price was cheaper but for the amount you pay for it, it is not very clean. There is mold and water stains on the walls and floors in the bathroom and a strange smell in the room. EVERYTHING on the property is expensive. I suggest not taking airport pickup because it is 500tbh higher than Grab and they accused me of not paying, even after seeing CCTV footage and seeing that it was not clear. Someone from the property took my money at the vehicle then they made me pay inside as well. I will say, after I complained to Expedia's review service they contacted me to ask if I wanted to move to another room. It was a cheaper room than the one we paid for so I declined. It was not poolside. They said they did a \"deep clean\" but it looked the same. When we arrived there were ants everywhere and a stain on our blanket. Pluses, very nice beach although it is kind of dirty (they don't clean in front of the resort) and free wifi. The water in the bathroom also ran brown at one point to which they just said \"let it run 5 mins.\" The water was luke warm not hot the whole trip. We came here for our honeymoon and were just not impressed. For 150-250$ a night I expect more. I travel a lot and this fails in comparison to other places I've stayed in Thailand.

The room was clean but overall stay was disappointing... staff members weren’t very friendly, the pillows were the worst things we have slept on, after complaining they had nothing else to offer (felt like crushed biscuits in a pillow case. The breakfast was very disappointing, a wait always for the morning breakfast and what was made was enough for maybe 5 people so we were always waiting for more food to be made. Karon beach I wouldn’t recommend every morning the beach was full of plastic rubbish washed up on shore.

Let’s start with the positive. I could walk 30 meters out the door and arrive at the doorstep of the most wonderful massage place (that was dirt cheap). The bar and wait staff were wonderful which was a sharp contrast with the hotel manager. Food at the restaurant was great and you could walk out of your room straight to the beach. The room was spacious and clean, and the cleaning staff was also very pleasant. They always greeted me!

Now, cons. I must not have researched my trip enough because there’s some sort of unspoken pool rule that a measly towel can hold your pool chair for hours. They literally posted signs that people couldn’t “claim” their seats with towels until 7am & people would be waiting at 6:59. I kid you not. I learned this the hard way when I accidentally took someone’s chair not realizing that it was “marked.” It was my fault and I own it, but it was still embarrassing & the pool staff stood idly by and offered zero help. Additionally, the end of my trip was completely ruined by the hotel manager with the perma fake smile. I checked out early & reserved my transport, paid my bill, and told them I’d come back when it was time for the car. I thought I was all paid up. But no, when I came back the manager informed me I needed to pay another 1600 baht for my transport which is an outrageous amount, plus they’d led me to believe I’d paid up. The way it was handled seemed shady/bad business-next time, I’ll take a cab. Soured an otherwise pretty good Thai exp.

The beach and pool was certainly convenient from the rooms itself. Not much walking is needed.
I was given a ground floor room where the back door opens to the pool.

Mosquito and flies were unavoidable.
Fixtures were a bit rundown but does not affect the stay.
The inclusive breakfast variety were limited and serves the same everyday.
The staff weren't exactly competent in speaking English and there was a lot of miscommunication.

This is a very couple-ly resort.

Street across the resort are filled with minimart, pharmacy (sells medication, lotsa sunblock and skincare) , swimwear stores, massage palors, ample of restaurants and drinking places within walking distance.

This area is much suited for the relaxation holiday types.

I would recommend to book the round trip shuttle bus together with the trip.
Ease your worries of transportation, It's about an hour journey from the airport and the mini vans were a lot comfier and spacious.

Beautiful resort right on the beach. Also close to Kata beach. The air conditioning in the room was not great and shuts off when you leave the room. I couldn’t sleep the first night because the room was too hot even with the AC on full blast.

Property was right on the beach. Acces to shopping restaurants and transport. Child free which is shy I chose it. There were some downsides.
The pool was great but at 7am each morning patrons lined up and ran for sun chairs over looking the beach. And there was the issue. The towels and books etc stayed there all day regardless if they were there or not. A joke and hotel rules not enforced by staff
The majority of visitors on the Karon ares are Russian. Not the friendliest people. The hotel was the same. 98% Russian. Couple of English. 2 Aussie’s. A pair of yanks.
Breakfast was great.
Staff great. But I wouldn’t go back there again.

Property was nestled in a perfect spot at the south end of Karon beach...as a result, we were away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the beach up from us where a couple larger resorts are situated across the street.

The pool bar and pool area was great and the outdoor massage area near the pool right above the beach made for a very relaxing experience.

Included breakfast was a great way to start each day and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

I only have 3 somewhat small complaints about this property...

1. No gym on-site. It would have been nice to be able to work out on property vs. having to look for a gym nearby.

2. To have electricity turn on for the room, a fob connected to the room key had to be inserted into a slot on the wall, without it, no power to lights, outlets, or air conditioning...this meant any time we would come back from a day at the beach, that it would take some time to cool the room back down to a comfortable temperature. Also, this meant that devices could only be charged while we were in the room.

3. The room was clean and the staff did a great job take care of it each day, but the condition of the room was not a up to standards as I would hope...the laminate wood flooring was separating in areas, the furniture was beat up in some spots, etc.
