The best thing about Hotel Clube Porto Mos is it's location.
Glorious sea view on top of the cliffs, beach a couple of minutes walk (with 2 excellent fish restaurants, reasonably priced), and yet only 2 miles from the town (only €4 for Uber).
Thoroughly recommended; I didn't see any other hotel in the area that I would have rather have been, thank you.

The location is great. Very close to a nice beach. The staff was very helpful with tour bookings and local recommendations. The property grounds are nice. The rooms are large and well ventilated with big bathrooms. Lots of space for family time. The downer was the room furnishings. The beds and bedding are sub-standard and really need updating. The lack of comfy bed and nice sheets negates all the other good points. The hotel can really use updating the furniture and furnishings.

We did not like the ants that was in the apartment, especially in the bathroom area. Reception staff are professional. Although we did not use the restaurant but i was there every morning for a cup of coffee. The restaurant staff could be more friendlier. One recommendation in the apartment, if possible, add some condiments essentials like salt, pepper and olive oil, paper napkin as a kitchen amenity.

At the end of our tour to Portugal, we felt a relaxing beach hotel in Lagos would be nice. It’s nice to buy quality food and prepare it in your own apartment. We were on the ground floor with a little partial view of the ocean. Love the old deep tub! The rooms reminded me of Florida—large tiled flooring and a low bed—comfortable though.!both rooms have sliding doors. You definitely need a car to visit other villages. The boardwalk at Ponte da Piedade is marvellous and easy to walk to see the cliffs.

We had a great stay at Clube Porto Mos. Our rooms were spacious and had all of the amenities in the kitchen that we required for our stay. The hotel had two restaurants within walking distance on the beach and close to trails for walking. The bus stop into town was conveniently located and easy to manage.
The front desk staff were very friendly and eager to assist with our questions. This hotel has a deal with a rental car agency with very responsible rates and they deliver the car and pick up the car right from the hotel, that was an amazing perk for us.
Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We loved close access to the beach and cliffs. Easy access to the bus and a small grocery store was within walking distance.
The gardens of the resort are beautiful!
However, the bathrooms in the apartments need to be updated. They are old and need repairs. Otherwise the apartments we’re comfortable.

The accommodation was in walking distance to a great beach. The waves were perfect for surfers.
It took half an hour to walk into town which is fine for us as we like walking. There are also a couple of great coastal walks. We walked one which took you into Lagos.
The apartment was spacious and reasonably equipped. The kitchen however does not have an oven which makes cooking a bit more difficult.
Beds made on most days and apartment cleaned regularly.
Nice pool area but beds not very comfortable.
Would recommend.

All the important things were great in my opinion - clean, well-located, spacious apartment in a lovely complex that was beautifully landscaped. Nice pool & snack bar. Free parking for when we hired a car. It would be perfect to have a few extras such as coffee filter papers, basics such as olive oil, salt & pepper, some decent sized glasses, wooden spoon, dustpan & brush etc. but all that was manageable. It would be good to be able to pass on things like parasols to others, with similar system to the used books area in reception. The staff were great, the beach so close by and we had a really wonderful holiday.

Perfect for families

We are a family of 4 and booked a garden view apartment. We cooked in the apartment which is very well equipped. The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a cliff over an amazing beach which is a 5 minute walk. There is a bar by the pool serving all sorts of food. Lagos is a 50 minute walk through the scenic route passing Ponta da Piedade/Praia do Camilo/Praia de Dona Ana, some of the “must see sites” in Algarve. You can also catch a bus to Lagos, stop is by the beach. Lagos is a beautiful town with loads of great restaurants and bars. Very safe and quiet during low/shoulder season, we were there in April.
The only downside is the slightly uncomfortable sofa bed but not the worst I’ve seen.
We loved the place and hope to be back soon. Highly recommended.

The mature gardens and classic building style ensures this hotel to be a favourite for many people and this gave it a sense of quiet and peace. The pool area was lovely. I did not use the restaurant, however the bar snacks were good. The view to the beach is stunning and the position is good although a 35 minute walk into town. Perhaps some bathroom extras would be appreciated by some such as shampoo/ shower gel. Overall a lovely stay and reception staff were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend.

Super stay with kid friendly pool!

Lovely stay with our boys (8 and 10years old). The villa was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the option of either cooking in the villa or buffet dinner at the hotel. Very close (5minutes walk) to Porto dos Mos beach which is a beautiful sandy beach and a 5minute drive to the town centre.

Modern room, large balcony with awesome sea/beach view. Very nice bathroom. 3 swimming pools with lots of seating, grounds are well kept and very tidy. Reception staff are very friendly. Plenty of parking.

Location is good - it's about a 30-40 minute walk into Lagos, but if you wanted to drive there is plenty of free parking around. An hour's drive from Faro airport. The beach is a two minute walk, and there is a boardwalk coast route to Ponta da Piedade within walking distance too.

The only things I can think to improve were the bed - not the most comfortable, it was two firm single mattresses pushed together. Also from a self catering point of view, there weren't many dishes / utensils, eg no bowls or spatula for some reason.

Served us well as a base to explore the Algarve, would definitely recommend!

Our stay at the Clube was excellent. The hotel apartments were clean and modern. Though we stayed in block 1, which I am told is the updated block.
The sea view is to die for. Taking an upstairs apartment meant we could leave the doors open all night instead of using the air con.
It’s wonderful to hear the sea all night.
This was our pre wedding stay, a number of our guests stayed here rather than at our wedding hotel, as no availability there.
The hotel were very accommodating when we needed to change rooms around for our guests and they were extremely helpful with my Dad, who had sciatica problems on the trip.
Definitely worth a stay.

Nice apartment, excellent sea view. Putting the two single beds into a double was requested. It was done straight away but they did not appear to have big enough sheets to cover the whole bed so had to use two single sheets overlapping. Same with the bottom sheets, surely they can get bigger sheets for this request?
Breakfast was a little disappointing too. The cafe on the beach was nicer food, hotter and cheaper.
Hope this changes for our stay in May.

This hotel is so much better than advertised. The concierge service was fantastic, and they give you tons of suggestions for excursions in the area. The room was very large with a huge balcony facing the sea and smaller pool. Maids were very nice as well. The restaurant is just OK, service was meh, and the menu was limited -- mostly pizza, with some other options like pasta. Beverage menu is also quite limited. The buffets for breakfast and dinner werent too appealing but I'm sure they are great if you have a wide palate. Hotel is pretty much on the beach and everything I needed was within a 30m walk. Just prepare for an uphill walk when heading downtown, a bit tiring in the heat and I do not suggest walking if you have small children. Overall staff and hotel was amazing, I hope to come back soon! :)

Beautiful view just a walking distance

We booked a two night stay at Lagos. This hotel was waking distance to the Beach Porto Mos. Beautiful sunset. The check in process was fast and informative. Our stay was booked for early October making it difficult to enjoy the pool because of the cool weather. Jacuzzi was borderline too.

This a beach club and parking seem crowded around the area were we're supposed to park. No shampoo or soap was provided in our stay.

Our room location and view was fantastic. Small outdoor patio seating area with an amazing view. We were in the most westerly part of the resort. There was a smaller pool there, shared by about 8 rooms. The room itself was pretty basic but good value. The problem was the bath/shower. The drain was blocked and it would fill up super fast when showering -- not very nice! Also the screen was leaking. Hotel staff were fine at best, not overly-accommodating. After we checked out I contacted them as I had left a small backpack and sandals behind. They said there was nothing found?? You will want to taxi into Lagos, it was very easy and cheap though.

Solid enough (but not spectacular) hotel

This is a decent hotel. The views and size of the family rooms makes it worthy of its 4*s. The resort it's self is spacious, the outdoor pool is spacious, if not a little chilly. There is good WiFi coverage throughout.

The biggest plus though is the proximity to and view over the beach and beyond. The beach is one of our favourites in the local area and it's a small walk down the dirt track which is easily accessible if you are reasonably mobile. We managed it with a 6 and 2 year old in foot.

Overall, a little over priced given that breakfast was not included. A revamp of the bathrooms wouldn't go a miss. But a oleasent enough hotel in a great location.

For the price of this villa, we would expect a free wi-fi and some kind of toiletries, like shampoo and conditioner. There's only soap available. Not to mention, that the cell phone coverage is poor and you can't really call or access the Internet on the premises of this hotel. For the less amount, you can get a 4+ star hotel in the middle of Lisbon, with free Wi-Fi, fantastic and cooperative staff, modern and well-equipped rooms with all the necessary toiletries. Staying in this villa just for a night, they did not allow us to get a late check out at 11 AM, instead of 10 AM. Their check-in is at 2 PM. How much time do you need to clean the room after less than 9 hours of stay?! This was very humiliating, given the fact we checked in at 12 AM after 4 hours driving. Very unhappy with the experience in this hotel for the price they charged us.

We were unable to check in at 2 pm as the room was not ready . Had to wait nearly an hour. Staff told us we needed to take a taxi or walk 45 min to the centre of town. But a small local bus ran every hour and was only 5 mins away near the beach . Beautiful view from the apartment.

Beautiful place located right near the beach. You can go to the beach to also watch sunset. Had a room with a view of the sea and it was magnificent. Even my friends were amazed by it. The grounds of the hotel complex are fabulous and in off-season, is good value for money to visit. My family and I enjoyed our stay and we were close to the beach and Lagos itself which was great! Great breakfast and the waiting staff were so friendly and chatty, wonderful people :) Only negative was the receptionist upon arrival and after returning to the reception to ask general questions which should have been clarified upon check-in as there was a lot of back and forth as a result. Resort hotel close to beach

This is a resort hotel so don't expect anything else and you will find it just fine. It caters for foreign visitors so language is no issue but, for our deal, we had to pay extra for just about everything - WiFi, safe, breakfast, etc. Dinner at the buffet was what you should expect for all-you-can-eat fare. The resort would ideally suit families seeking to get down to the beach or to use the pool.

A real gem of a find near Mos beach, Lagos

This is a most relaxing and aesthetic apart hotel above the lovely Mos beach near Lagos!
We stayed in a front-line apartment with a lovely view over the ocean and beach.

Beds a little hard for us as a more mature couple and basic but adequate cooking facilities, two rings and a microwave - enough for a relaxed sunny holiday and eating out or at the hotel restaurant!
Lagos is a long walk without a car - we have never done it as we have always had a hire car on our holidays.

A real gem of a find for us a few years ago and we will probably visit again, unless we have already bought a villa in the vicinity!

I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel; we have stayed here with and without family twice before and it remains immpeccably maintained and clean - a real pleasurable destination!

Good location and lovely grounds, quiet place.

First time traveller to Portugal, was looking for a quiet beach holiday.
This was a good place to stay with the following notes:
Main pros : Quiet, good views from the front 4 villas, plenty of sun loungers around the clean but unheated outdoor pool, well equipped kitchenette, pretty gardens/grounds, very close to lovely Porto Mos beach, room cleaned daily.
Main Cons : Ants tendency in the kitchen if food left uncovered, AirCon disappointing as kept bedroom cool but not the lounge/dining area, no fans, limited breakfast/dining variety, poor wi-fi facility, poor choice of TV channels for English speakers, 2 single beds pushed together not ideal for a couple but a small gripe.

Also not the best location for those averse to a good uphill walk, nearest shops/lagos not reachable without car otherwise.

Excellent in almost every way

The apartment we had was spacious with a reasonably well equipped kitchen. There was a small relatively private garden area that was a bit of a suntrap and pleasant to sit out in. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant but did have a drink in the bar which was ok if not fantastic. The location is great - an easy stroll down to a great beach. The beach has two restaurants both good for lunch and dinner or just a drink, coffee or ice cream. There is easy access to Lagos (30 minute walk, bus or 6 euro taxi). A car helps here but we did only use it three days out of the five we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Härligt boende!

Väldigt fint läge, nära till stranden som var jättefin. Dock lite långt att gå till centrum och backigt. Hotellet är välskött o fint med härlig trädgård! Personalen väldigt trevlig!
