Lovely property with a beautiful pool. Check-in was efficient, and the room was large and clean. Breakfast was complimentary and had a variety of hot and cold offerings as well as pastries. The regular evening buffet was also very good. The staff was very responsive and helpful.

Loved this hotel! The hotel was very clean from the reception, to the restaurant, the pool and the rooms. The reception was very helpful and kind when we came in and even helped us find a nail tech for my sister who didn’t get her nails done before we got here! Our rooms were clean and tidy, the bathroom is a good size with a good shower. They come with shampoo/shower gel, conditioner, and body lotion (not the best smelling but not bad). They also have an amenities kit with a nail file and shower cap (nail file was very useful). We had a pool view room and it was a nice sized balcony. We needed an iron and scissors and the reception very quickly came up to give them to us. We even asked for a hairdryer and they brought us a nice con air dryer (there’s one in the room but it isn’t the strongest). There’s a good full size mirror in the room too which is so helpful when you’re 2 girls getting ready to go out. We also had dinner at the restaurant and we got pizza and arancini. The arancini was DELICIOUS and the pizza was good too. All in all we had a great experience here. Only thing I would say is that it’s a little away from the old town. It’s a 4-5 min uber but it’s a 25 min walk to the town so just be aware of that. But the walk is accessible and not too uphill/downhill. Would definitely come back to this hotel!!

The hotel was gorgeous, beautiful pool area and lovely, large rooms. My complaint is with the hotel restaurant itself. We had been traveling all day and were hungry. We were the second table to arrive at the restaurant. We ordered food and then waited. And waited. And waited. After an hour, we were furious. Our waiter had NEVER come back to our table, never brought food, never checked, etc. We got up to leave and suddenly he ran over to us. We left the restaurant, feeling super angry. I guess he told someone because the restaurant manager actually came to our room that night. He apologized and gave us free breakfast the next day. That was kind, but it doesn't change the bad service we received. It kind of ruined our whole experience.

This was a nice stay, we booked a room with a garden view , however ended up with a parking lot view . We did though have a little terrace above our room that we had snacks and drinks on, which was nice.
We did not get a chance to eat here , but had drinks and Sangria made for us that we brought back to the room. Our room was nice with a separate room with a queen bed and pull out sofa couch for our son. However they only give you two pods for coffee and you have to purchases more if you want them ( that was a bummer), we drank ours that night , so nothing for the am.
Other wise it was a great location to all of Lagos beaches.

This placing was amazing! Very clean, super quiet, and overall gorgeous. The property is so well maintained. The location is absolutely perfect. 7min walk from the beautiful cliff views and 10min walk to town. This was by far the best place I’ve stayed in. Would highly recommend!

We had booked trough Hotels.com.
We had wished at a room at one of the upper floors but were given 112 at ground floor. We looked unhappy and were given 204 at 1. upper floor. Super, and thanks.
The hotel is super clean.
The room with balcony and with view over the pool is super.
The location is about 2 km from the down-town and some uphill. Bus no.2 every 1 hour.
Fine for a walk to the cliffs/caves ca 5 km round walk is fine.
L-a-r-g-e svimming pool.
Fine green grass around and childrens playground.
Some noise during the day from garden machines.
Breakfast is fine with fruit, vegetables youghurt, oats. The bread we only tried once. It is booring.
To add all together: At this time of the year a fine place if you have good legs or a car.

Other than that we had a wonderful stay.

Just fabulous. We stayed four nights in one of the villas, which apparently had been recently remodeled. Everything was shiny and new and sparkling clean. There was a small, well-outfitted kitchenette, though we didn't use it to cook, just for coffee/tea and dishes. We loved the back patio area and our unit even had a small deck on the roof! Each villa has its own parking spot too, which is great. The service at the restaurant and pool bar was top notch, all the staff were so friendly and kind. We paid for breakfast two days, dinner one night, and ordered food at the pool bar for dinner another night, and everything was delicious. The pool is enormous and there are plenty of loungers, although it would be nice if the umbrellas could be moved or even just tilted as the sun moves. I wish we could have spent more than one afternoon lounging out there, but our itinerary was packed. The deposit for the pool towels is a bit steep, but you get your money back when they're returned. I would come back to Lagos simply to stay at Ancora Park again, we enjoyed it that much!

Had higher expectations considering the ratings on line. But here’s where they do not warrant a 5 rating. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchen setup. Sofa wax stained, no tv in bedroom, you had to supply your own toilet paper and coffee. Okay maybe the coffee but toilet paper? Been to many places over the years and this was a first where we had to buy our toilet paper. Bed was very poor quality, need their mattresses updated. Beautiful pool and pool area but the loungers are in terrible condition. We tried the buffet dinner on our last night and although great variety, food quality is subpar.

The property is beautifully landscaped and the pool is the gem of the property. The restaurants had fresh healthy and a variety of delicious options. The cocktail menu and wine selection was excellent. The staff from the room attendance, servers, bartenders and hospitality staff are outstanding which made our stay at Hotel Âncora Park very comfortable and enjoyable. Also, we liked that it is very family friendly with a pool for children and changing tables for families with infants. Highly recommend this hotel and the restaurants. We definitely will return and bring our entire family.

We’ve stayed previously and the rooms have had a really good refurb since then. Pool area and bar has also been massively improved since 2018. New hotel block has been built and it’s more a 4* now. Only issue was construction work daily from 8am till late at an apartment block right next to our bungalow, we were block B. Constant angle grinding and drilling, such a shame but once the building is complete, you won’t have an issue, other than being overlooked from the balconies. The area has developed with lots of new building so not a quiet as we remembered, but location is convenient for the local beaches at Praia Mos and ponta de piadade. Centre of Lagos is about 20 mins walk. Overall, would recommend if staying in Lagos

Overall it is a very nice property with a great location. The rooms were newly renovated & spacious. It has tons of potential to be 5 stars, but the beds & pillows are hard as a rock. There was also no patio furniture on the upstairs balcony of the apartment which is a miss - would have loved to enjoy some evenings out there with some wine. I think for the price they should add that in. The food at the restaurant was terrible, which was disappointing. Otherwise, the stay was fantastic.. I just think they have a ton of potential and can do better to become a 5 star destination.

Free parking outside the reception is brilliant and easy. The hotel and rooms are very clean and modern. The hotel is in a peaceful area and an easy 5 min taxi to the Lagos old town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ancora Park. It’s a little further out of town perhaps compared to some other hotels. However this meant it was lovely and quiet, and Uber’s were super cheap if we didn’t want to walk into town. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Never had to fight for a space at the pool and was short walking distance to some beautiful beaches.

The room was lovely and big and the reception staff were very helpful. The hotel was very clean. The pool was huge and there was always space on sun loungers.

The only things that let this hotel down are the food and the location. The food at breakfast was very average and the snack bar food was horrible and not worth the inflated prices. We didn’t try the dinner as we were so unimpressed by the snack bar that we didn’t fancy trying the dinner. The hotel is a little out of town which we knew and Ubers to the centre of town were only €3. However, there are lots of new buildings being built around the hotel so the views from the pool were ruined by cranes and building sites which was a shame but cannot be helped by the hotel.

Loved this property so clean and welcoming. It is about a 20 minute drive from Lagos Old Town which we ended up going to every night for meals/drinks.

The pool in this hotel is amazing, the rooms are large and very very clean with good size balconies.

The only drawback is the breakfast is quite expensive considering the price to book to stay at the hotel is already quite high.

The apartment was good for 2 people, we liked having access to the roof to sit out. The kitchen area is not so well equipped and it would have been useful to have dish soap, cloths etc but it's nice to have the option. The pool is big and the area lovely, not so warm water at this time of year! We enjoyed the 20m walk into town, found a couple of local shops / bars / pizza restaurants, and enjoyed walking on the cliffs at the end of the peninsula, and the walk along the cliffs to Luz.

The garden view rooms are older and outdated with basically no amenities. There is a kitchen for which we had to ask for dish soap, no dishwasher and house keeping doesn’t do the dishes. No shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer. The pool bar items are expensive.
However, the properties strengths are the massive pool, friendly staff, they help arrange excursions and a 10 min walk to downtown or the beaches!

Lovely resort, very clean and fabulous pool. Slightly further out of the centre but if you’re happy to walk 25 minutes then it’s fine.
