Everything was OK, except someone always kept the outside door open and me being on the first floor and it being January, it got pretty cold in my room. Breakfast was OK. It is a seven minute walk to the boardwalk along the shore, which was beautiful. There are restaurants in the area for dinner.

We had a perfect stay at Vila Branca. The location is excellent as it is close to Lagos main attraction like the old city and ponta da Piedade. The lady at the reception was very helpfull and kind. Our unit had everything we need to cook and the shower was the best we had in Portugal 🇵🇹.

We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. Condo was very clean, serviced every day, fresh towels every 3rd day and sheet changed weekly. Beds were on the firm side.
Kitchen had the basic pots and pans, drip coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Utensils were minimal. Had to request oven mitts and tea towels,
Location was great and walkable to Pickleball, Olde Towne, beaches & grocery shopping.

I had a boiler that was leaking so I had to mop the floor and take cold showers until I was moved into another room.The electrical outlets in the kitchen weren’t working so I had to plug the microwave in on the floor to use it. There were ants in my bed and in the shower. I also followed the instructions on the safe and was unable to open it, so will assume that was also broken. When I was moved to another room, there was water damage to the floor as the floor was risen and I tripped over the loose flooring. The hotel was in a beautiful location but I the health, safety and hygiene were extremely poor.

The room was nice. They put us in an accessibility suite which had been specifically fitted for a wheelchair user. This made showering challenging as the height of the shower head couldn’t be raised. They require you to put a deposit for beach towels and we were not able to use the bathroom towels, however, every time we tried to get a beach towel they were all out of clean ones. This really delayed our days.

Decent space, far from town but is a quick uber ride.

The room was large and comfortable for 5 people with a good sized deck. Centrally located with beaches and old town being 15-18 minutes walking and the marina 5 more. We opted for the morning breakfast and happy we did so. A relaxed low key vibe around the pool when we weren’t at the beach or exploring. The front desk staff were friendly and always accessible to answer questions or concerns.

We LOVED Agua hotels. It was a spacious clean site and was really peaceful and is for sure a five star hotel. We really enjoyed the pool because it was big, fun and had lots of loungers and relaxing spaces. The breakfast buffet was amazing; it has lots of delicious choices so there is something for everyone. Great staff at reception as well as cleaners who clean each room every day. Everything was at a very high standard and can really recommend for a holiday location. Thank you for having us at Agua hotels and we would happily return.

Our appartment was spacious and beds were comfortable. There are a/c units in every room and that made our stay pleasant. There’s a decent buffet breakfast at the restaurant but the unit has a huge kitchen to prepare your own food. We didn’t cook as there are many different restaurants nearby. There’s a market across the street and a bakery as well as a coffee shop within 5 minutes walk. The beaches are about 15-20 minutes walk. I gave it 3 stars because of the cleanliness or lack of. Our patio was dirty and the sun bed was covered in bird poop as well as the walls. The room was also dusty especially in the corners and under the beds. I think for the nighty price of close to $400, the resort staff needs to improve on cleaning procedures. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place to stay in Lagos. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Reception staff were “short”, rude and impatient. I do not speak the language, and when I asked for clarification, they always appeared put off. Pool was dirty, shuttle only ran briefly, no instructions to work appliances. Will not stay again.

Great place, great location. Grocery store right on the corner. We did not get the apartment advertised, the sofa bed was really small single so too small for our 16 year old. Pillows are not pillows, uncomfortable. Didn’t have little touches like salt and pepper and a cloth to wash down counters after making breakfast. You have to ask for the pool towels. But overall this was an amazing place to stay, almost perfect!

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Pool was clean and spacious as there were 2. Food was great! Both breakfast and dinners..
Maid service was spot on.. best thing was the large outside patio with not only a table and chairs but also loungers and a clothes rack for drying your clothes.

Good size 2 bed apartment with 2 bathrooms and lots of storage space. Fully equipped kitchen. Approx 30 mins to town and marina. However steep hill involved so may present an issue for some.

The apartments were perfectly ok - clean and spacious. But some of the company’s policies were not customer friendly. If you wanted beach towels or a hairdryer you had to pay a deposit in cash. Not much good to people who travel without cash. And though the apartments were very quiet when we left, they would not consider putting back our checkout time. You had to have your room key to get in the swimming pool. We only had one key to the room which meant if my husband wanted to stay in the room with the electricity on, I couldn’t get in the pool. He had to come down too to let me in the pool and then go back to the room. It should all be easier than this.

I was so happy with my stay at VilaBranca. I was travelling solo and had a 1 bdrm apartment. It was on the edge of the complex, the patio overlooked a treed area where i heard birds chirping all day, it was lovely, so peaceful. The apartment was immaculately clean and i had everything i needed including dishes, utensils, corkscrew and kettle. I also used the washing machine and drying rack. Right around the corner was a small market and about 20mins walk was a huge supermarket. There were grear restaurants within a few mins walk and it was less than €4 each time i wanted to go anywhere. The pools were very clean and the restaurant staff and front desk staff were all very nice and professional. 100% recommend

I really enjoyed my stay. Rueben at reception was very professional and the apartment immaculate. The location is great for walks, beach and the excellent Intermarche supermarket. The blue bus line outside goes at 40 mins past the hour to town and in the other direction the yellow bus goes to Luz. To get to Sagres, go to the bus stop opposite Intermarche. Bring a few coffee filtres for the machine and some washing powder.

Great apartment style location. Very roomy for two and even had a nice washing machine we could use. Very clean and had everything you need even if you to stay for multiple days (we stayed two nights). Nice pool but was on the cool side (mid-September) ... my wife was brave enough to use it ;-) Pretty chill neighborhood and a couple of nice beaches are within walking distance. A few restaurants are also within 10 mins walk. Nice breakfast included (centralized restaurant nearby next to the admin/check-in office). Overall it was great !

Disappointing but okay

Pro: nice check in helpful employees. Fairly close walking to the beaches. Laundromat , small grocery store and nice healthy cafe close. Very nice breakfast. Cons: Nasty stained couch, had to get a towel so we didn’t have to sit or look at it.Pillows were horribly cheap and uncomfortable. White towels grey and thin. Safe as locked and unused by us. Had cleaning staff come in a they left our patio door unlocked, we were out all day, totally unacceptable. We also used the hairdryer for a $20 deposit ( no problem) returned hairdryer for the iron and then returned iron for hairdryer. On checking out young woman was insinuating we had kept the iron( perhaps this happens) my husband told her not his fault employee didn’t write it down. She gave him our deposit back.She was rude until he told her about our unlocked door. Left us feeling not so happy about this establishment.
Bottom line, it’s a holiday let with lots of people coming and going, things wear out. We would not stay here again. Our idea of a Villa is not this

The pool area was fantastic. The breakfast included was some of best the when considering “breakfast included”. Access to a quality beaxh and restaurant was close by. The room environment with a quite and cool air conditioner kept the room quite cool. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. The room felt safe with a sold door and double lock with a safe.

It's very clean. Has 2 swimming pools on property. Decent buffet breakfast included. Friendly staff. Easy parking, we parked right outside our door. Small grocery store outside the property and laundromat near by. Some very good neighborhood restaurants 3-5 walk away.

This hotel is very beautiful, the rooms are big, comfortable, the shower is amazing (excellent water pressure), the restaurant is great, staff is very nice and helpful.
My only complaint is that the USB charging slots were not working, but when I talked to the staff they provided me with an adapter so I could use the regular outlet. Great hotel, would definitely stay there again!

I enjoyed staying here with one problem. No hairdryer. When I spoke to the desk they said we could have one with a 20 euro deposit. Since we would be leaving early in the morning I was worried I would forget or they would be too busy to get the deposit back. The breakfast was quite good

Loved our stay! Short 15-20 minute walk to Old town/beach, which was great! The restaurant on site was also fantastic and we both enjoyed our meals. The only downside was that our room was skipped during cleaning one day so we ran out of toilet paper, but reception was able to promptly sort it out. Staff were excellent and very kind and helpful. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay.

Everything was excellent except for an odor after returning to the room. I suspect it is from the sewer pipe as there is no ‘p’ trap on the lavatory sink to prevent any odors from emanating from the plumbing system. When I closed the sink stop, the odor was much diminished. Maybe have a plumber look at this.

We liked our stay there. Comfortable apartments, nice pool area. Minus is that detergents for washing machine, oil for cooking you need to have yourself and this is somewhat not very reasonable to buy if you are foreign traveler and stay in the location just for couple of days. Also sofa bed was something we couldnt figure out how to fix it in order to sleep on not moving furnuture.

Apartment was very clean and spacious with a modern well equipped kitchen. The location was good, being walking distance both to the town and the cliff boardwalks.
My only criticism was they need to invest in new towels. Towels were very thin and worn. We had dinner once at the restaurant attached to the hotel and it was very nice.

Very good value for money. Immaculately clean and excellent residential location for walking the boardwalks of Lagos with bonus of lots of good walkable restaurants and grocery. . Bus at door for Meia Praia as well. Construction nearby this year will affect some rooms. Lovely property…just wish they would buy a solar blanket for the pool so it can be used a bit more in the off season. May return…
