The best parts of the hotel were the restaurant (Akuna) where i had a truly amazing meal; and the bar where the staff (especially Ana and Louis) looked after me so well. I talked to them for hours and they made me feel fully at home

I chose this hotel mainly for its location, as I wanted to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the hotel. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing.

The staff appeared uninterested and unprofessional, often pretending to work and making us feel looked down upon simply because we are Vietnamese.

I also paid extra for breakfast, but the food selection was repetitive every single day and definitely not worth the additional cost. Considering the price I paid for a 7-day stay for three people, the experience did not meet my expectations at all.

Overall, this hotel did not provide good value for money. With so many better options available, I would not choose to stay here again.

Our one week stay in celebration of my wife's birthday at The Le Meridien Saigon Hotel was great. Our river view Club Access room was fantastic. The view of the river from our room made all of the difference as did the staff at the Club lounge. Tracy, Lang and Hanna at the Club Lounge were the best hostesses and made us feel at home, always smiling and very friendly, eager to please. The food and drink offerings for breakfast and the early evening reception were \"over the top\". We will definitely going back next year. Pay the extra fee for the river view room and Club access and you won't be disappointed.

Our rooms were facing a construction building, where you can see the workers inside the building working all the time. To keep our privacy, we had to keep the curtains closed. Four days in a row! What is ironic, the hotel displayed their award as the best scenic view at their front desk. The food in the restaurant is limited. After the room service staff delivered my meal, he kept his hand and the folder with bill right above my food. I had to guide him stay away. When checked out, they listed every single item of my laundry on the bill, which I think was very inappropriate for a luxury hotel. It showed again they don’t care about the privacy of their guests. Their elevators open and close very fast, and I had to keep pushing the button more than once and wait another turn to get to my floor. The hotel rate is not cheap but the service they provide does not match the price. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend to my friends.

Customer service was quite good except that they did not inform me prior about the room type view I have booked now have a construction building site. No city view as it was blocked by the constructing building. The construction works start as early as 7+ am till 9pm. There was one night construction works lasted until 12 am. I guess this is not within the hotel control. Also I had to keep the window shield down at all times as i was at eye level as the construction building, I was afraid that the workers can peer into my room. So i requested room change to avoid the construction sound and more privacy.

Perfect city hotel. Loved the products in the bathroom, malin & goetz. Breakfast was a bit limited on the choice of fruits.
Long who worked in the club lounge on level 22 is a great asset to the hotel. He has excellent people skills and has a wealth of knowledge.

Terrible experience at the check in, we arrived early, understand that the room is not ready and got to wait, spent time at the lounge and had lunch, tired after morning flight, back to counter for check in at the regular check in time, been told room not ready, have to wait for another 15 minutes, wait…… back to check in again, still no ready! Back and forth for 4 times finally checked in!

It’s a new hotel hence the room is new and facilities are all in good and new condition.
You need to walk about 1km to restaurant and shops. That is the only inconvenience.
The window is not really soundproof hence you can hear music from the bar and noisy bikers.
Overall hotel is good. Like the new condition. Gym is good size.

The key card would work only on your floor. So you couldn’t go to friend’s room. You would have to go down to the front desk to reset the key to go to a different floor……every time.

The staff forgot to return the credit card deposit.
They insisted that they have never kept it.
Not one but three of them.
I had to be little stern and asked them to double check.
Only to find that they have indeed kept it.
Then they eventually transacted a refund.
I haven’t yet got it back though but this was a surprise at Le Méridien Saigon (a Marriot group hotel).

Le Meridien met my expectations. It is an attractive hotel with good food, service and amenities. The location is also a plus for visitors as the riverside park, ferry services and city centre are all a short walk away. Stayed there during a national holiday so the price was a little inflated but normally this hotel would be good value for the $$. I would consider staying there again, although there are many comparable options in the city.

The hotel is somewhat away from the hustle and bustle of district 1. Its about 30 mins walk to where all the good spots are. The hotel mainly serve for business men and their mistress that are dropped off in the wee hours. If you're traveling as a tourist, I'd suggest other 5 stars hotel. There was remodeling and construction still happening inside the lobby cafe, so we werent able to use that. The lobby is small for a 5 stars. The 9th floor lounge is quiet and dead 24/7. The swimming pool is cold ice, not heated and barely used by anyone. The casino next door, same building as the hotel is all electronic machines. No dealers at all.

New and modern hotel in downtown Saigon

We had an amazing stay at Le Meridien Saigon. The room is very spacious with nice view to the river and buildings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The service overall is satisfactory. Highly recommended and we would stay here again next time.

Le Meridien Saigon is colorful, posh, and undeniably upscale. Everything you would imagine when it comes to post-modern minimalism. At times, the decor can seem too simple, reductionist in a sense (the night stand is basic end table with no shelving) but at least it is a consistent theme throughout the hotel.

The location is not central. I knew this coming in from reading previous reviews, but when we got there, it was clear that the hotel was really \"away\" from the central District 1 area. The river is not much of a sight (it's swampy and industrial) and there is heavy construction happening on that side of town. Being at the riverfront means more traffic getting to the hotel. That said, if you want some privacy or would prefer not to be in the fray of Saigon.

Breakfast buffet is delicious. Don't miss it. And don't forget to try their Vietnamese Coffee, good both iced and hot.

Not sure why this wasn't mentioned in other reviews but the hotel is immediately next door to a Casino. Only non-Vietnamese citizens can gamble in Vietnam so if you want to hit the slots, bring your passport.

The hotel room had some flaws (broken curtain), and the room we had was right next to the service elevator so there was some noise at night. The issue was addressed so it became a non-issue.

Customer service was excellent, as expected.

The takeaway is this: Le Meridien is an oasis away from the urban jungle. but if you want a central location, look somewhere else.

Now the real positives, Booking in could have been a nightmare due to a date change, but the Reception Staff, namely Yvy and Thoa, were unbelievable, their caring manner and professional attitude was awesome, because of these two wonderful young Ladies, our stay was totally enjoyable. The Le Meridian was an excellent stay, the staff is friendly and efficient. I went down to the gym and accidentally left the safe open. When the staff came in to clean the room, she immediately called the security and reported the open safe. When I returned to the room, security was there filing a report. There was a few hundred dollars in the safe, when I went down to the gym, it was all there when I returned, lucky I know, but that's solid customer care right there!

The gym is good size and has enough equipment that people that normally push weights around can get a solid workout in. The pool is good and restaurants tasty. Really nice place!

Comfortable 3 night stay at Le Meridien Saigon. Room was clean and the bed offers a great night’s sleep. The location is a little bit out from the main attractions however it did not bother us as we enjoyed the walk. The small things probably let this hotel down for us. Our welcome drink glass was served with a lipstick mark and at checkout we were told that we had consumed an item from the minibar which we were unaware of. Both were quickly resolved. Staff are polite and speak good English. Buffet breakfast offered a nice spread to appease all palates Overall a pleasant stay.

The hotel is pretty well perfect. The only downside is it’s on quite a construction zone and probably will be for the next few years with a condo development going up around the corner. Otherwise...the rooms were great. Pool is beautiful. And everything extremely well attended to. No arguments here!

5 Star Hotel in the Making

Le Meridien Saigon is newly opened hotel that is 3 years old.Located center of District 1 of Saigon along the Saigon River. I chose this hotel for the grande suite and club lounge. We travel internationally and only stay in 5 star hotels with hotel suites and executive club lounge privledges. We love the Grande Suite, corner suite with views of the Saigon River and city traffic below. The windows all have one touch switch to open and close the drapery of the windows. All marble flooring, flat screen tv in bedroom and another tv in living room. Separate bathtub and shower with large closets. Terry robes and slippers. Maid service is extremely top notch and always with a smile. We arranged for the hotel limosine to pick us up to/from airport, and was in a new mercedes benz which included bottled water and in-car wifi for our use.Because it was our first time in Saigon, we were so relieved to have the hotel limo service.City is quite busy,populated and can be overwhelming. When we arrived to check in, we were greeted at the Front Desk. was so professional and personable.

From check-in to check-out, all staff from front desk and housekeeping have been always smiling, helpful and courteous. Only exceptions are the service staff at lobby cafe.

Rooms are spacious, beds and pillows are very comfortable, bathroom modern and delightful.

Location is excellent.

Overall, my favourite hotel in Saigon. Have stayed there many times over the years.
