They didn’t even give a hair brush or a tooth , toothpaste etc like basic hotel amenities .I see a peace of paper on floor when I came in my room and it seems not clean.When we book a big room and they give different smaller one .We came late at night and have no other hotels and we booked already so we couldn’t do anything

This was a nice spot to be in for our first night in Vietnam. Staff were great and accomidating. The room was nice, I didnt feel confident on its cleanliness so we wore shoes the whole time. In walking around it became very clear we were in a Red Light district, but otherwise it was a nice stroll.

Despite no window the room was fine. The toilet has a shower seat which was nice. The breakfast is poor. The staff are not friendly and mind their own business. But the hotel is clean and cheap. Location is excellent, within walking distance to hundreds of Japanese style bars. Recommended.

Bedroom booked had dodgy light switches that buzzed and crackled when used. Advertised with Swimming Pool, that wasn't the case though. 1 lift o/o/o during my stay, but it was Lunar New Years day, so I can see why it wasn't fixed!

Staff were lovely, spoke better English than I hoped for and did everything to assist if called upon. Food from Breakfast to Evening meals were FANTASTIC and ive eaten in some great restuarants around the globe.

So noisy I couldn’t sleep at all, constant music or noises from outside making it unbearable to relax. In the morning, someone was cutting tiles or something, which made it super noisy again, horrible experience. Did not enjoy stay at all.

The street where the hotel was located smells like a massive bin, noise of the bars around were constant till early in the morning. The smell if street food was coming to the room. The only good thing was you could walk to main shopping craters and shopping areas so close to everything which you can find other hotels little bit more expensive but in a better location. This was my first and last experience with Expedia

Worst hotel ever, old and dirty…worst staff!

This is the worst service that in 20+ years traveling I have ever received. I got a confrmatiom with a picture of a room and they gave me a completely different one. When I showed them they said it was not their fault but hotels.com fault. I was coming from a long continental flight and asked the front desk to please fix it. The guy and the girl at front desk just wasted time, did not help and then the guy said to cancel that they would refund me. I booked a different hotel and they denied to have said that although there was a camera. They did not want to show the recording and the manager on the phone hanged up on me! I never got refunded!!! The property is way older than what it looks and staff is the worst I ever experienced…pool was not even accessible! A nightmare and they are very dishonest just to keep some extra money!

Check in was quick and easy. Location was great. Room was decent and clean. Buffet selection was ok but the staff was overworked as they seems to be not really that friendly. Food was out around 8.45am and there were no replenishment even buffet close at 9.30am. Guess to minimise wastage. Pillows and bed was a bit hard. Overall, can have a better choice around the hotel.

Right in the heart of nightlife but noisy till 2am

Hotel is nice downstairs and food is okay.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful.
Location wise it’s great for city trips and right opposite the night life/restaurant area.
We fancied an early night one night (2300) but literally struggled to sleep till 0200 until the noise outside quietened down (traffic noise mainly, mopeds beeping constantly etc).
Not the hotels fault at all and they did their best to move us to a quieter room so I take the blame for not researching better.
Facilities wise it lacked in February, early season but the pool was empty and the sauna shut.

Nice hotel in the middle of District 1, however it is also in the middle of a lot of riff-raff. The coffee shop downstairs is an excellent place to have a coffee and watch the riff-raff go on by. It is also next to little tokyo and a short walk to a lot of other things nearby.

We stayed for 7 nights. Unfortunately, the housekeeper only get to change our bedsheets, pillow cases & duvet on the eve of our check-out day.
It would have been great if they do it mid way through our stay.
An area that they should consider to improve on.

Convenient location within mins walk to mall and food.
Friendly staff esp night bell boy and one receptionist who made efforts. Overall polite staff.
Nice decor in new wing but dated decor in old wing.

Cons:
Changed 3 rooms due to very horrible noise issue, faulty toilet bowl, dripping aircon in room 1.
Very dirty room, feet were black from the very dirty floor in all rooms. Mosquitos and gapping floor boards and bad odor in room 2. Stuck with room 3 to avoid hassle. But Drink stains on floor and cupboard in room 3. Faulty bath tub. Odor as well.
Horrible partition wall in new wing where street noise, music and talking from lobby and other rooms can be heard. Banging doors and toilet glass doors can be heard intermittently all day thru the night due to poor structure and material used. Couldnt sleep soundly all nights. No amenities. No room service. One Lift is often down.
Shampoo, shower cream and hand wash are all the exact same.

Great hotel, a bit of a walk from certain areas.

Really nice hotel, friendly staff, clean, comfortable no real complaints for a short stay. Shouldn't really advertise features such as fitness room - this doesn't exist (unless you count the broken equipment 'plonked' on the 8th floor to rot! Breakfast is good (get there early, as the certain nationalities are there as the doors open, which I found to my disappointment one morning I decided to sleep late). There is work going on at the moment, which you will hear on the high floors if you return mid afternoon.

mixed feelings for review

overall the stay was okay but generally disappointed in a few things. breakfast was not the best of choices unless you were wishing Asian menu. ended up with omelette every day as only thing suitable. staff were okay but not too helpful .
very very disappointing end to our trip as we had ordered taxi service from hotel to get our train to Hoi An and when it didn't appear they didn't appear to have any urgency to find out where it was . in the end we had to rush outside in pouring rain and the door man flagged down a street taxi. this was now 40 minutes later than our planned transport. End result.... we missed our train, lost our money on the ticket and stayed in a locked train station for 10 and half hours before getting the 6am train. no refund on tickets and day train definitely not as good or as quick as the sleeper we had booked. didn't get to Hoi An until 29hours later.

Nice hotel but nothing special. Literally dozens of comparable rooms in the area.

The pool/hot tub always seemed to be under maintenance or out of order so I never got the chance to check it out although I tried multiple times and at varying hours. The roof deck was nice, however I didn't spend much time out there.

Room was good. Was cleaned daily. Not particularly spacious but at least it had a window. Speaking of which, no screen on it. Had a bat fly into my room one night and was quite a chore shooing it out. Also had some visitors of the cockroach variety on a couple of occasions. Both these things really didn't bother me to be honest. I had been backpacking for 4 weeks before arriving here so I'd seen much worse. That said, would expect more in a hotel like this.

The staff... This is where I'm conflicted. I was treated very well during my stay. Two door men in particular were very friendly and helpful but for the life of my I can't recall their names. Front desk ladies were helpful, the restaurant and the house keeping staff were nice as well. However, I had my girlfriend staying with me (she's a VN citizen) and her experience when I wasn't around was quite awful. She provided the hotel with her ID and stayed with me throughout my 21 (yes 21) day stay. VN has a reputation, I understand this, but man... I'm actually quite upset they treated my girlfriend like a prostitute behind my back. Had I known I wouldn't have stayed.

Deal breaker. Would never go back.

Way more than we expected for the price we paid!

My fiance and I stayed here for 2 nights during Tet (February 27-29th,2017) and really enjoyed our stay. Based on the price ($40 CAD/a night) we expected to arrive to an older outdated and tired hotel with that stinky smell, to our suprise we were greeted by very friendly, smiling and helpful bell boys and front desk agent. The lobby of the hotel is very modern and quite impressive. Our room had everything we needed, comfy bed with clean sheets, spacious shower with amenities, working A/C and TV. Many people complain that there is a very tiny weird window leading to nowhere, but hey guys what do you expect when you pay so little - floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the city? You have to be realistic with what you are expecting based on the price you pay! And afterall unless you are planning to spend hours and hours in the room instead of exploring the city, who cares about windows?!
We had breakfast included with our rate. Once again it is not a 5 star hotel, so breakfast was decent enough. It's South Asia afterall, so they had more Asian inspired dishes, but they had an omellete station, fruits and toast with butter and jam, so we always had things to eat.
The best thing about this hotel is it's location! It is located in District 1, which is considered the most happening District in Ho Chi Minh City, but thankfully it's located a bit way from all the craziness of the donwtown (in comparison to its a bit cheaper sister property Blue Diamond Hotel). However, I will prefer Alagon central hotel which at almost the same price range (a bit lower than Blue diamond actually) but offer better service in all aspect compared to Blue Diamond Signature.

The hotel tried to tell me I had to pay an extra $5.00 because my booking was only for 1 person. I booked for 2 people on expedia. The hotel showed person. I had to argue, ruined my morning. They finally backed down. I have confirmation from expedia for 2 people and hotel got email from expedia for 1 person. The blame is with both the hotel and expedia. The hotel lied and said the rate is different for 2 people than one person , but thats not true because I saw the expedia prices. Then expedia messed up for sending that conformation. Just an overall bad experience.

Clean and Nice hotel located in Japan Town.

Stayed at the Blue Diamon Signature for a night. Checked in early afternoon and skipped out for lunch and dinner. When we got back to the room and switched on the A/C, found the air con had been smoking (rather, the previous guests had been smoking). Called the front desk and told them, immediately a staff came up and moved our luggages to another room - this time no more cigarette smoke. (Good stuff!)

We checked out early for a Mekong River day trip and deposited the luggage at 7:30am and picked up at 6pm - no problem with the hotel staff. Breakfast is good.

Location of the hotel is good, with neighbouring japanese restaurants. Across the street has this small alley that leads to more restaurants. Nice place to go exploring!

I'll come back for hotel. Hotel staff speaks English and are courteous.

Great hotel, very close to inner city attractions.

Ho Chi Ming was a culturally different experience from our home of Australia. We negotiated walking through lanes of cars/trucks and more scooters than you can imagine. We used the Loney Planet as a guide and were satisfied with our experience. However we looked up street food and went out of the city to experience other notable street food places. This is a MUST do. The streets, traffic and people are so vastly different. The people and children are very friendly. My partner is 6ft3, people stared a lot, until he smiled and they smiled and engaged back.

Unusual Room Design, Location in Nightlife Area

The Room Designs are different - a glass wall with blinds separating the bathtub in the bathroom from the bed. Breakfast was stale. It appears that breakfast is sourced from elsewhere. As in many hotels in Saigon, entry to the hotel is on a flight of stairs. Those with heavy luggage & childrenwill require help. Location on Thai Van Lung Street, known for nightlife not advisable for families with children. The Concierge Team needs training to support families especially when checking out from the hotel at odd hours - they had even instructed the airport taxi to take a longer route to the airport.

Small rooms, OK for single Asian business men\n

Disappointing room size compared to the expectation set by the photograph on the website. We stayed 4 nights, the bed was a standard size double bed, rather small in hotel terms and it sagged in the middle which made for a uncomfortable nights sleep. Bathroom towels were changed daily but every one felt old and lacked comfort and we're off white. The same goes for the bed linen. The air on only had one speed of fan...blasting.
Breakfast was geared to Asians, in fact we were the only western couple staying there. One fruit wuss provided each day, either dragon fruit or water melon, not our taste in fruit. No Yogurt and a poor selection of bread. But plenty of Asian dishes which seemed OK for the local market.
On the plus side the hotel is located on a relatively quiet one way street right in the centre of town, the reception looks impressive but sadly the rooms do not.

Ideal Location For Your Visit to Ho Chi Minh City

Hotel was well situated in a bustling part of the old city and we were able to walk to all of our planned destinations. Many dining opportunities with a short walk of the hotel. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was pleasant to be warmly greeted each time we entered or left the hotel. Breakfast buffet was varied and interesting with the minor irritation the quality of the orange juice. A great price for a week's stay.

I am a frequent stayer in Blue Diamond Signature.
Within a span of 2 years, me and my friends stayed for more than 100 nights added up.

Recent trip We booked 6 rooms. When we returned to our hotel late at night, the hotel staff is rude and complained in Vietnamese since I woke him up from his sleep. Luckily I understood some Vietnamese. For two nights same thing happened.

I am also angry when my one of my Japanese friend brought his girlfriend back and was refused entry. All in all, room was ok, but service was bad....everything changed since they change their staff... so no more Blue Diamond Signature for me.

Good Location -walk everywhere (almost)

This was a very nice hotel in a good location for us. Circle K across the road and a pizza place on the corner. Lots of Viet restaurants in the area - plus many purporting to be Spanish, French, Indian etc. We walked everywhere and made it to the main attractions (taxi to China town).
Hotel is air-conditioned, luxury bathroom, room was smallish, elevator, wifi a little weak, breakfast included 4/5.
Front desk spoke English and was very helpful with our day trip to the tunnels and from/to the airport ($12).

The staff were all lovely and friendly here. The rooms have what you need...the actual bedroom seems basic but the bathroom with its bath tub and looking glass into the room a little more luxurious. The windows are teeny tiny, not much can be seen from them. But the bed was so very comfy.
Unfortunately due to baby we got to breakfast in the last half hour. Ran out of food :-( Only toast with jams and eggs of your choice and Luke warm coffee. Get in early!

Great location and renovated rooms.

Great location and room is just what we were after which was no traffic noise and newly renovated.room size could be bigger but its fine for 2 people sharing. This is my second time staying here.

hotel is clean and away from noisy roads. opp is the k mart convienence store & plenty of western, jap & korean restaurants! walking distance to vicom, parkson & pastuer street. front desk very friendly & take time to explain to us the hotel surroundings & how to get to those tourist areas. rooms are clean! air-con is great, rainshower is good! tv with lots of movies cable channels! beds are comfortable. breakfast is ok & they make effort to change menu daily.

Room is very clean.

Staffs are very friendly. Be careful with the tour package recommended by hotel staff, the price is not including some attractions' entry fee. It would be better if the staff can highlight this to the customers before they take the package.

nice and quite hotel

staying for 3 nights here in Dec 15, got room at level 3 and 4, staff were nice to show us around, rooms are clean but a bit small, everything is working fine except that the wash room door is not lockable.
walking distance to opera house, city hall, church and post office. nearby a lot of restaurants especially Japanese and Korean food.
Vivasun taxi is always standby outside the hotel, so is easy to catch one of it and go whenever we want.
overall a quite and decant place to stay

Nice friendly hotel

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. We did not get to check in until gone midnight as our plane was delayed over five hours, this caused us no problems even though states last check in is 23:00. Breakfast was amazing, great choice and even a choice of food made to order. Definitely recommend to anyone I know traveling to Da Nang

All is well at the Blue Diamond Signature hotel

This hotel is in a good position, the staff are friendly and very helpful, all requests were met.
The only one thing they can improve on is breakfast, they simply cannot poach and egg and the coffee id mud.

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a little odd with a window on to the hallway. Breakfast was average. Wifi worked but was a bit slow. Location was good with many local attractions within walking distance. My one complaint would be the lack of hot water on the first night.

Fabulous stay at blue diamond signature...

Hotel is very new and nice, room is clean and spacious, especially the bathroom and a very nice bathtub to soak in at the end of a tiring day. wonderful service from all the staff too!

room is good the rest average

The room was in good condition. abit noisy in the morning because somewhere is doing some construction. room service: did not top up my shower and shampoo n i have to find them in the late morning to top it up. Bell boy took money from me when i went down to take my bike when it should be complimentary. the receptionist guy threw my girlfriend identification on his desk seems unhappy. staffs were sleeping everywhere in the lobby during night time.
