This spot was 5 min from where I needed to be. Hotel was even nicer in person. I stopped in for a burger after a long drive and wow did it ever hit the spot! Great service too! I was especially impressed when they asked how I wanted my burger done. When a burger can be done rare, you know the quality of the meat is good! Rooms were clean & comfy. I noticed the patio door unlocked and mentioned it to the front staff -- they made note and said they would ensure the housekeeping staff did not let it fall through the cracks. I appreciate their courtesy and responsiveness. I checked out the pool too, mainly to get a soak after the long drive. Hot tub was closed, but pool area was nice. There were also a bunch of other groups enjoying the venue (events, parties, families). Overall a great spot and would definitely book again!

The property is located in an accessible place near the freeway and close to Denison Univerosty and Granville. The rooms and hallways are dated, the layout is spacious, just needs some renovation. We enjoyed getting a drink at the bar as the people working and staying at the hotel were very nice.

I absolutely love this place from the fantastic pool to the outstanding breakfast every stay away from NYC feels like the escape I deserve. The rooms are spacious , spotless and comfortable. Let’s talk about the real luxury guarantee parking. No circling the block, no parallel parking Olympic, just pull in and relax. Love it!!

First off the parking is not lit up at all. We arrived after sunset and really couldn't see anything. Then the one girl at the desk was slow. I waited in line for half hour to be checked in. The rooms were laid out weird. The TV was mounted on the wall BESIDE the bed so we had to look sideways to watch it. The bathroom door was a barn door that didn't stay shut. Then on the 2nd night the fire alarm went off at 2:30am and the lady at the front desk was yelling at everyone when they asked what was going on. It didn't stop until 3:30am. Nothing was done to correct any of this. No partial refund or anything. The only thing decent was the bed that was comfortable.

There is something wrong with their fire alarm. We were not notified in advance. At check-in they were going off and had to wait outside for 25 minutes while the deafening alarms went off through the entire facility. At 2:30 a.m. they went off again for an hour, startling everyone awake. Had to go out to our car and sit for an hour while they went off. No mention of any customer service for the discomfort. So poor!

Our room was very clean and large, and the beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately the thermostat seemed to be broken and although maintenance tried to fix it twice, it never got fixed and the room was either extremely hot or cold. We also had a fire alarm go off on our second night and had to go outside around 3am for an hour or so until the fire dept came to turn them off. No fire thankfully. They did comp us for one night without us even asking and everyone was extremely attentive and friendly

The hotel was extremely clean and very nice!!! Comfortable bed! Large rooms, and loved the little patio outside our room! Lots of seating room around the hotel with large fireplaces to gather and a cozy bar! I did not unfortunately like the restaurant, we had our Valentines dinner there and out of 0 to 10 I give it a 0!!!! From the service to the food!

One of the amenities we were looking forward to was the pool and especially the hot tub. Hot tub wasn’t even functioning and the pool needs some work - at least drained, painted,…. The advertising of the pool and hot tub was a major deciding reason why we booked. So disapppinted in that.

Cons: There were lots of areas around the hotel that were not-vacuumed nor dusted due to recent and current construction. There was a large bag of trash left in the hallway for over 12 hours that room service neglected to pick up. None of the ice machines were working, so we had to walk to the front desk for ice. We were out of our room from 10am-7pm on a Saturday and no one provided house-keeping, so we had to call the front desk for fresh towels, hair conditioner, a new garbage bag for our bin and a pen. That took about an hour to obtain, so we had to wait to shower. There was a LOT of construction dust in our room and in a few hallways, so we woke up with dry throats. It was obvious they were trying to upgrade parts of the hotel, but there were no \"pardon our dust\" signs. The breakfast we paid for was just \"okay\" as far as offerings, but the service was quite good from the waitresses. The pool, unfortunately, was too cold to swim in and the hot tub wasn't working at all (colder than the pool). Children were jumping into the pool and scrambling out of it, but no one was staying in the pool and playing. This was disappointing because we chose the hotel based on the fact that it had a pool/hot tub. We did get a good deal on Expedia, but had I paid full-price, I would have been upset overall.
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the linens were nice. Rooms were unexpectedly spacious. The hotel was quiet. Front desk and restaurant staff were VERY friendly.

The first room I was in, the bed LOOKED plush and comfy, until I sat in it. I immediately sank to the frame, NO JOKE. So I let the front desk know and they moved me to another room, where the bed was exactly the same.
The entire place needs an update, not just the TVs. There were soap dish shelves in the shower that severely limited the ability to move around, since the water only came straight down from the shower head. There was no microwave in the room, and the mini fridge held what amounts to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Location was nice, couldn’t hear any traffic noise or other guests. Rooms were clean and the front desk people were nice.
I’m sure in it’s hey day it was a nice place to stay, but it’s now just a place to sleep and wake up sore the next day.

Both sinks were missing the drain plug, and of course, something fell in there that had to be fished out. Unacceptable. There is no door to the bathroom vanity, no privacy from rest of room. Both the hand soap and tissues were empty. The mattresses needed replacing, we both slept in sunken spots. Decor was very nice and room was spacious. Parking on the 2nd night was a nightmare due to events. It was freezing and the lighting was inadequate for the trek from the only area that was left to park. Of course, it was near the one entrance that was closed off due to building construction. If you’re a guest, you shouldn’t need a reservation to eat in the restaurant. They reluctantly seated us and it took 20 minutes for any service, another 30 to get a salad and appetizer (both were very good).

If you want to use the pool and hot tub do not book this hotel! We went to give our grandkids a getaway before going back from Christmas break. They wanted to swim and we wanted to use the hot tub. The hot tub has been broken for several years. The pool, though slightly heated, was not warm enough to overcome the freezing room that the pool is in! 15 minutes after being in the pool, they were frozen. We asked the staff if they could increase the temperature in the pool room and they said they would contact maintenance, but we never saw a difference. The restaurant was closed the night we went.

I would have given this hotel 3 stars but the staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful so that boosted it to 4 stars. We loved the pub and restaurant, very good food, large selection of bourbon. The servers and bartenders were great. We were here for the Miss Northern Int. Pageant. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Now the bad. This hotel is need of a refresh. The furniture, carpets and fixtures are very worn, scratched and just old. We had an executive studio suite room. When we first turned on the water in the bathroom sink it really smelled bad and it wasn't a sulfur smell. The water coming out of the other sink in the coffee machine area was fine so we ran the water for about 15 minutes and it went away. Lighting in the room was very bad. No light in the bedroom closet. No light in the coffee machine area. They had a Keurig but we bring our own machine. Needed to use a flashlight to see the water measurements. The chest of drawers was in the living room not the bedroom. The toilet seat in our room was very loose and about to fall off. The toilet seats are about the cheapest you can buy and they were throughout the hotel, didn't like them. Our room came with a Jacuzzi tub but it was broken and didn't work.

The rooms are always clean. This visit the hotel was nicely decorated for halloween. The food was good, but the bar service was a little slow, mainly because it was understaffed. The staff are very nice and we always enjoy our time there. The hot tub is not working and it truly needs to be removed as an amenity, as it has been out of order for our last three visits over the year.

We got away as a family of three and were excited to stay in a fancy hotel. I was surprised at the condition on the room and general run down appearance. Because I have a toddler I pay special attention to floors and our room was obviously not vacuumed recently at all. Also there were random personal objects behind the curtains and between the sofa cushions. I recommend finding a better cleaner.
We had to call maintenance to fix the hvac and to replace a light bulb. When we tried to call downstairs we realized the phone wasn’t connected lol come one people. We also asked that house keeping please come and remove trash, bring new towels and sheets etc. It was a 5 day stay and we were told they only cleaned on the 3rd day.
I guess I expected a better experience since the hotel seemed to be fancier than the typical roadside inns etc.
Anyway, I understand having to cut costs but deciding to only provide house keeping services on the 3rd day isn’t the way.

Our thermostat was broken. Maintainence came to fix it but we couldn't change it after that. There were no hangers in the room but they did get some after we asked them. No coffee except in the dining room. The whole place is in need of a complete reno. Just tired and dated.

A beautiful spot. I came for Homecoming at Denison University. I appreciate the location and the rooms. The staff was amazing. The only drawback was due to our room location every time anyone went out or in the secured door, our door would jiggle and freak me out as though someone was knocking. A structural floor. Overall this was an amazing place. Great room, clean and super Comfortable bed.

The HVAC thermostat did not work, there was mold in the bathroom, some of the ceiling tiles were broken and brittle, and the parking lot was dark. The hallway carpets are worn and tore. They also do not have a complimentary coffee bar as you check in or out.

We booked a suite and when we arrived was told we couldn't have our pet in that room so they moved us to a “pet room” which was horrible it smelled of dog urine and there were pee spots everywhere. The tub/shower was broken no one came by to give us towels we had to go get them everyday. We went and bought cleaning supplies and vacuum to clean our room. Finally after I couldn't take it anymore they move us to the suite we originally paid for after spending 2 nights I. The nasty room. No reimbursement was given nothing. I would recommend this place its just dirty all around. The staff was rude even the restaurant was bad. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else.
