The best thing about Hotel Àmbit was the location. It is close to many walkable tourist sites. The room is ridiculously small, the cleanliness was barely adequate, the breakfast was the same each day with basics, the staff was very minimal with any communication. I had old twin beds and one window with a view of a wall through Expedia. I do not recommend this hotel, particularly for the high price.

Room was very small. Hardly any space to walk in the room. They charged me another tax even when I had paid bed tax I came to know from another gentleman same night a larger room rented for far less. They had only 3 Kleenex taste in my room. The day I checked out the Gentleman was rude and unfriendly. I don’t like the experience

Clean, decent sized room and large bathroom (for the area), well located, food options all around, walking distance to visiting sites, short walk to direct airport shuttle buses. Not a « luxury » hotel but very good value for the price point. I recommend it and would not hesitate to go back.

We stayed at Hotel Àmbit and couldn't have been happier. We had been told to stay in the middle of the Gothic Quarter. Thank goodness we didn't. No transport, huge crowds, hot and stuffy was not appealing.
Communication before,during and after our stay at Hotel Àmbit has been fabulous. Our room was aircondioned,modern with spa bath and king sized bed. Breakfast and evening drinks in the lounge and garden area are highly recomended. Transport is very easy and convenient. The area is convenient, walkable, upmarket and safe. We cannot recommend Hotel Àmbit enough. Thank you for making our stay in Barcelona a pleasure.

An amasing hotel located in the heart of Barcelona

Overall, I had an amasing experience in staying in Hotel Ambitbcn whilst in Barcelona. The location is very convinient and accessible to major transportation hubs and tourist attractions.

More than anything else, I like the service and hospitality, Though I didn't have a good view from my window room, but I was satisfied as it gave me a right temperature I wanted (especially summer heat sarted to climb during my visit), modern-cozy and stylish room design, comfy bed which had a good sleeps (very essential), and every basic needs are provided in the room.

Daily breakfast were really good as it had different variations of food served, and it ia tasty as well. Plus the ambiance in the dine area adds cozy-chill feels whilst having the breakast It is a worth to be included in your stay.

The reception, kitchen and housekeeping are very accomodating, courteous, and helpful. The receptions were really taking an extra mile to prepare me a takeaway breakfast as I have to leave early prior to the breakfast time of 7:30AM. I forgot their names but definitely a thumbs up for them for their assistance and being helpful.

Definitely coming back to stay in here for future business/leisure trip in Barcelona

Hotel Ambit is situated in a great location. It is only a 10 min walk to casa batlo and passeig de gracia, a 15-20 min walk to the gothic neighborhood and las ramblas. The staff are helpful and speaks english well. The rooms are clean, although the room we got was much smaller than we thought. There's no gym or room service, which was ok since we were out all the time. The only drawback is that the walls are thin. You will hear people in the hallway. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Otherwise, would recommend.

The hotel is small but has all modern amenities and very conveniently located, within short walking distance to Plaza Catalunya and all the attractions. The staff is extremely helpful, whether in explaining directions, suggesting best eating options, or providing an outlet converter or an extra pillow. The best part is breakfast: it’s simply amazing! We stayed only for one night after the cruise, but will definitely book this hotel for our longer trips to Barcelona.

Based on the reviews for this hotel I was expecting a lot more. I wasn't THAT impressed. In my opinion it is more of a 3-star hotel. The staff was friendly, but the air conditioning gets nowhere near the temperature the unit displays so we had to sleep with the balcony door open. There is also no door to the bathroom/shower in the \"upgraded\" rooms... so if you are not romantically involved with who you're staying with, you probably won't be thrilled. I wouldn't stay here again.

It was a last minute decision and our one night was perfect. From morning until night, the front desk receptionists gave us the best recommendations and was able to check us in early so we could enjoy more of our day. The place was walkable distance to a lot of attractions and metro was easy to navigate to a lot of places. The place was very nice and clean. Would book again next time in Barcelona!!

Perfect location

Absolutely loved this hotel! I only booked a single room so it was tiny but spotlessly clean. There is a lovely dining area where they serve breakfast and coffee is available all day. There's a garden terrace for outside enjoyment. The hotel is perfectly situated near many nice cafes, a grocery, pharmacy, subway station and taxi stand. Plaza Catalunya and the gothic area are just a few blocks walk away. Hope to go back soon!

Very nice place to stay for our first night in Barcelona. Clean, large, comfortable bed and bathroom. Helpful person during registration: he recommended a great place for dinner.
Their breakfast was delicious: variety of choices (eggs, sausage, toast, etc) along with small pastries that were scrumptious! Highly recommend.

This is an outstanding hotel. While our room was small it had everything we needed. The rain head shower was roomy, separate room for toilet, desk, French doors that open onto small balcony. Very quiet. The breakfast is outstanding in a beautifully appointed eating area with an interior courtyard just a door away. The staff is caring, kind and helpful. The location near the old town of Barcelona could not be better. Restaurants abound.

I'm confused as to why this is a 3.5 star hotel, it felt like at least 4 to me.

Maybe it's the tightness of the rooms?

Otherwise, it's clean, comfortable, it a great spot, and the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was also much more reasonably priced than at other hotels.

The hotel location was really good which might justify the price. Though i would still consider the hotel to be on the pricier side for the quality you get, there is nothing special about the hotel as such. The premises were clean and the rooms were nice. I would like to concur with others about the weird Bathroom design, but at least there is a curtain to address privacy.

The hotel was a great home base! I was oddly wowed by the bathroom - it was beautiful! The bed was comfortable enough and the staff was great! There weren't a TON of restaurants but it was just a few streets off of Las Ramblas so pretty easy to get to whatever you need.

Hotel Ambit would be my first choice again

Just home from an amazing weekend visit to Barcelona. The hotel is just off the beaten track but is still very central for everything. Close to all restaurants & bars and main tourist attractions. Rooms clean and airy. Air con powerful. Beds extremely comfortable. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking street. Perfect for watching busy hustle & bustle of this amazing city. All reception staff are pleasant & helpful. The terrace is very relaxing with just enough sun and shade plus free all day coffee.
I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Excellent hotel, great location, great value too. If you like English tea, take your own teabags, difficult to get a decent cup of tea anywhere in Barcelona. The hotel was very quiet, the bed was fantastic, very spacious and comfortable. Didn't try the breakfast, we just ate on the move as we were only staying for three nights, and wanted to pack as much in as possible. Reception staff very good, spoke good English and were on duty 24/7. Room had a lovely balcony which was a bit of a suntrap in the afternoon, not much of a view, but hardly spent anytime in the room apart from sleeping.
